I loved my stay at the Durrants. It's a place I grew up knowing, since my father has stayed here during business trips for decades. It was wonderful to come back as an adult and I especially loved all the charming parlour rooms on the ground floor. Great places to curl up with a coffee or glass of wine at any time. Loved the historic feel of the place. Also absolutely perfect location next to the loveliest shopping area in Marylebone. Will absolutely stay here again whenever I'm back in London!

This is a beautiful hotel and everyone was very nice. You do only get one key and have to turn it in at the concierge desk every time you go out. The only downside was there are no laundry facilities available as stated on Hotels.com You can send your laundry out to get cleaned for a high cost. The area was very walkable and it was easy to get a cab or an Uber.

Very beautiful, upscale property with a whole bunch of charm. The sitting areas and the bar were a nice place to hang out before going to your room at night. Plus my last name is Durrant so now I have stationery. lol. Thank you, Durrant’s Hotel.

I wanted a London experience and this hotel was absolute London and Britt charm and hospitality, the multiple cozy areas were so inviting! It is definitely a classic with lovely interiors! I would love to stay here again! The staff was beyond courteous and it is walking distance to great shopping, pubs and restaurants and so close to the Chiltern Firehouse Hotel, which was a place I wanted to visit!! Charming all the way around and not far Uber ride from Portobello Market, which was a must for me as an interior designer and an avid thrifter. My best stay in London yet!

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and the windows open for fresh air if you like that. Durrants has improved its amenities by having a fridge/mini-bar in a fairly ordinary room. You cannot beat this hotel for spacious common areas. While I do not like the new messages in the lobby, I do like the porter service very much, including the ritual of handing in your key each time you go out.

Loved the charming feel of the Durrants Hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful! Cozy side rooms with fires burning for gathering with friends. Fantastic candy jars. Enjoyed the wood paneled bar. We will return when visiting again!!!

The hotel is a lovely old building. Some rooms have air conditioning, others do not, so if you really want air conditioning you should request it up front. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Their main restaurant was closed for remodeling but they had a smaller place where you could get breakfast and other meals.

Durrant's is a fantastic "under the radar" hotel in an "under the radar" neighborhood of Marylebone. An absolutely beautiful hotel with GREAT staff and service. Wonderful dining and several cozy sitting rooms and lounges throughout the hotel. The hotel bar is the highlight and is a gem of cozy English decor and vibes, not to mention a great Martini! Walkable to Regent's Park, Hyde Park, St James, Oxford Circus, West End, etc. We fell in love with the hotel and will be staying here whenever in London.

This small hotel is charming and quiet. The decor is traditional and very British. The location is perfect. The little bar had a fireplace and was very cozy. The staff were all excellent. My room was great. Highly recommend.

We dropped bags at the hotel after a long day of travel and were allowed to clean up a bit as well. After checking in later that evening, we noted that the temperature control in the room was not working. As it was hot, we didn't want to be uncomfortable for the night, so we asked to be transferred to another room. They promptly gave us a room of the same type, this on the 3rd level. It was shabbier and actually seemed a bit dirty and smaller; we did comment on this to staff. But, this was our first trip to London and we didn't know if this was common in older hotels. The staff was excellent and very accommodating, the location amazing and easy to walk to parks, shopping, galleries and museums. We trekked all over greater London and had a wonderful experience. On our last night we enjoyed a drink in a living room on the main level. We'd hoped for a proper English breakfast on leaving, however the service on Sunday started later than posted. It was easy to get to London Euston from there, a short Uber drive, as we were headed to the Lake District. Overall we enjoyed the stay but were disappointed in the condition of our room given the cost of lodging. there.

This is my favourite London hotel. The location is ideal for galleries, shopping and theatre. This time the staff were very helpful when I discovered that I had lost my phone charger. For the price, there ought to be a mini-fridge in the room. This is my only criticism, though. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

The Durrant is a very charming hotel, the room and numerous sitting areas downstairs was enough for my needs during my 1 day stay. Some things to note: the tub part of my shower was very high, someone older would definately have difficulty stepping in and out. Also I forgot to report it to the front desk but my hot water handle for the bathroom sink had to be turned numerous times before water came out. The toilet also needed to be flushed more than once. And the old school skeleton keys while quaint were are cumbersome when it came to actually opening my door and forced you to use both hands and its no wonder they offer to keep them for you at the bell desk because they are quite large!

Nice feel to downstairs areas - clubby, refined, loved the open fire in the lobby (though the Churchill speeches piped in to the toilet were a bit much). Bedrooms a bit tired and chintzy - peeling wallpaper, broken lightbulb in bedside lamp, cracks in plasterwork; felt like one of those budget hotels on Sussex Gardens. Comfy beds though, and quiet. Staff all nice. Didn't eat at hotel. Pretty certain that the decaf coffee I ordered in lobby was instant. Area is outstanding - easy walk to tube, Marylebone High St is fab.

It all depends on the room you get. Some rooms are charming while others are dismal and claustrophobic and dated. Small closets and no dressers so you may need to live out of suitcase(s). We had one charming room with high ceilings and two large windows for first half of our trip, but they gave us a different room when we returned for the tail end of our trip. The second room was smaller with low ceilings and one small window. It felt dismal and claustrophobic.

This was a last minute booking after an Air Canada 2.5 hour delay caused me to miss the Sleeper train to Penzance by one minute. At first the night porter was reluctant to grant me the room I had just booked through Hotels.com, but he graciously let me stay, even though he was only able to find a luxury suite (the front desk staff had retired for the night). The next morning I was not charged for the "upgrade". I was treated much more fairly by Durrants than by Air Canada, who have thus far refused to pay for my night in London which they caused. My room was huge and quiet. I slept very well. I will be returning to a more modest room at Durrants, and in future, as funds permit, I will consider treating myself to a fancier room at this elegant London hotel.

I really loved this hotel, but it should be noted they do not have air con in the rooms. It was quite hot, so was challenging, despite the very lovely accommodations. Despite that, I would love to stay again…maybe checking the climate first!

The room we had was dark, dismal, and felt closed in with low ceiling and one smallest window. No dresser for clothes or hooks to hang toiletry bag in bag room. However, the first floor with little sitting rooms was charming though.

Great location, great pillows and mattress, nice toiletries. Lacked in space, bathroom was a little dated and rough around the edges. Not enough plugs and tea and coffee making facilities were poor. At £300 a night I expect fresh milk, more than two coffee pods and some biscuits! Great location for Hyde Park

Thoroughly disappointing. Why have an AC u it in the room if it doesn’t work? When I ask to move rooms, because it was very hot - 30C - they wanted to charge me £190 to do so. Not impressed. If they had a room free, even if it is bigger, they could’ve offered a reasonable price. The Dyson fan they provided didn’t reach the bed. There were no plug points besides the beds fur chargers l, or close to a mirror to dry hair.

Prior to our stay, we informed the hotel that we have a new baby that was under the weather (crying, agitated etc). We asked if it would be possible to amend and/or cancel the booking, the answer was no and that there would be a cancellation charge applied equal to that of our entire booking. This was a last minute booking after an Air Canada 2.5 hour delay caused me to miss the Sleeper train to Penzance by one minute. At first the night porter was reluctant to grant me the room I had just booked through Hotels.com, but he graciously let me stay, even though he was only able to find a luxury suite (the front desk staff had retired for the night). This is truly an amazing experience and perfect example of British hospitality. We absolutely LOVED the staff, the hotel, location. Every single person we came across, was super kind, professional, and helpful. This is a beautiful hotel and we couldn’t be happier. They were extremely accommodating. We got to check in earlier. We had to get our room changed due to some noise but staff made it very seamless. Thank you Clive, Miss Theresa, Charline, Analisa, Elder and everyone for your genuine hospitality. We will for sure stay there again.

Everyone at Durrants was friendly and welcoming - from my arrival to departure. The housekeeping was very accomodating too. The location of the hotel is excellent. I could walk to shops, restaurants, parks and tube stations were close by.

I absolutely adored my week-long stay at Durrants Hotel. Everything from the welcoming fire in the lobby to the cozy bar was charming, and the room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious as well. The neighborhood is quiet but extremely convenient. I look forward to staying here again.

The hotel is a lovely old building. Some rooms have air conditioning, others do not, so if you really want air conditioning you should request it up front. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Their main restaurant was closed for remodeling but they had a smaller place where you could get breakfast and other meals.
