I have stayed here before. It is so convenient from Kings Cross and I like the early check in time. Both times I have stayed, my room has been ready even earlier. Reception staff are friendly. Rooms are small, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Secure luggage storage.

We stayed for just one night and chose this hotel for its proximity to St Pancras, which it delivered on perfectly. However, the hotel is a bit noisy, with sounds coming from both outside and the hallway. Additionally, the water from the sink had an unpleasant smell. There’s also no elevator, which could be inconvenient for those with limited mobility or heavy luggage.

24/7 front desk which is nice but there wasn’t any help to move all our bags up the 3 flights of stairs and there are some very tight hallways. Shared bathroom and shower as advertised and unfortunately no AC. They did let us stash our bags with them while we were out which was great.

This is definitely a low cost hotel with a huge heart. First thing to know - there is no elevator. The less you pay for a room the higher up you will be. And if you choose the cheapest room you will be sharing a shower and toilet room with the entire 4th floor. I didn’t realize that when I booked so it came as quite a surprise. However, the saving grace was the staff. I dropped my bags in the lobby when I arrived around 11:00 and went out for the day. When I came back both of my rather heavy bags and been delivered to my room. I was so grateful. When I left they came to get the bags and bring them down the narrow stairs with a smile and a great attitude. This staff is fabulous. Polite, patient, caring - it’s what gets this rather run-down, tired hotel it’s consistently strong ratings. The staff and the location can’t be beat.

Room was small, but this is typical of Llondon hotels. It was very clean, and the beed was good. However, the consisten lack of elevator in these small hotels with their steep narrow stars ,are a problem for older guests. It i s important to request a room onthe ground floor if you have any kind of limited mobility.

We had 1 night stay as we had to be up early to catch the Eurostar. We had a warm welcome on arrival and the staff were accommodating with keeping the rooms as close together as possible. Great location too. I would just point out that there are no lifts. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It is right around the corner from King's Cross - so perfect if you are taking an early morning train. Lots of tiny stairs, so inconvenient for luggage, but they let us keep our largest luggage at the reception area.

Great location - 5 mins walk from Kings Cross ( honestly !! ) - friendly staff, luggage room available, ( we arrived 1hr before we could get into our room, we were allowed to leave luggage in our room , meaning we didn't have to wait around ) room for 3 x adults plenty spacious enough , 2 x large fans in room already - much welcomed as 33° , everything we could ask for for a 2 night city break - we had a great weekend. ☆☆☆☆☆

The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean, and the check-in and out was easy. From the lower rooms you can hear the rumble of trains underground, but I quite like that. There is an outside terrace at the rear, which I have never used as it has always been dark when I’ve been at the hotel. Staff are pleasant and efficient. I have stayed here twice and already have future stays booked.

Very close to Kings Cross/St Pancras train and underground stations, easy to just cross Euston Rd and walk up Argyle St. Clean room, plenty of hot water, bed only a double but comfortable. Given key for room 30, extremely small room below street level which smelled strongly of mould. Asked for another room, given key for room 33, also below street level, slightly bigger size, only slight smell of mould. Very narrow stairs to access rooms. Disturbed throughout night by sounds of people somewhere upstairs walking around, dragging items across floor.

Really good, affordable small hotel situated very conveniently in central London, close to King's Cross, St Pancras and Euston stations. Spotlessly clean, friendly and efficient staff, recently decorated and ideal for a short stay in the middle of London. Rooms are small but not ridiculously so, with good beds - also quiet, considering the central location. Recommended - I will definitely choose Alhambra again when staying in London.

Compact room but absolutely spotless. Perfect for our early Eurostar as only a two minute walk to St Pancreas and very easy to find. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Surprisingly quiet considering the location although there is a rumble of underground trains which was quite soothing.

Location of Hotel cannot be beat, straight across from St Pancras Station. Staff were friendly, check in easy and they have a secure luggage holding room. Room was clean and had everything needed , but ive knocked a few stars off as it is very loud, it is a busy area and would benefit from double glazing and we had a basement room which, since it is at the bottom of the house the bathroom smelt very badly of drains. But for the locations and price, not too bad of a stay.

The location is perfect as it’s closer to the tube/train station and walking distance to British Museum. The main downside was we were there one of the hottest weeks and there is no AC, so it was really hot inside the room. Thankfully they did provide a fan but it was still a bit uncomfortable, and being close to the station it was rather noisy even early in the morning.

Great stay, room was small, as expected. But very comfortable. I had a shared bathroom and shower (those are 2 separate rooms in the hallway), both were clean. Also, you have a sink in your room which is great. Good location as well, right near the train station.

There is no air con in the room, just a tiny inefffectual fan, that wafted warm air around. The staff were very helpful & friendly. The location is brilliant, just across from St Pancras & Kings Cross - perfect for trips into the city. The only downside with this hotel is that there is no lift, lugging cases up 3 flights of stairs just about finished us off....our legs were like jelly every tike we went up them. God forbid if you forgot something and had to go back up!!

This hotel is in a convenient location and the staff provided good service. The bed was very uncomfortable (waaay too soft) and the bathroom/shower was cramped. This property is fine if you have a layover to catch a next day train but I wouldn’t recommend staying any longer, particularly given how uncomfortable the bed was.

If all you want/need is a bed to sleep in this is your place. Hotel allows for luggage storage which is a nice feature if your room isn’t ready. Be warned there is no elevator. No problem if you packed light. We had quite a bit of luggage to carry up narrow staircase. No a/c. Opened windows wide for air. Room facing busy street.

The hotel had no room for us inspite that we paid a month in advance, and informed them about late arrival. They confirmed with us that late arrival is not a problem. However we had to sit in the night at their reception till they find us a new hotel. Very disappointing and not professional.

Very disappointed on check in to be allocated to a different hotel as the Alhhambra had problems with the room. The other hotel was vasty inferior and should never have been offered as an alternative. After our complaint a room was found found for us back in the Alhambra! The room was fine and we felt the complaint had been dealt with satisfactorily. Overall it had been a little stressful.
Very disappointed on check in to be allocated to a different hotel as the Alhhambra had problems with the room. The other hotel was vasty inferior and should never have been offered as an alternative. After our complaint a room was found found for us back in the Alhambra! I flew to London for a fun 4 day weekend. I loved that Alhambra was centrally located as I am a walker. Camden and Camden Market are a beautiful walk along the canal. The Hotel Team were very helpful with directions and questions. Lastly to great relief, the hotel found a lost item of mine ( a ring that had sentimental value) and they are sending it back to me in the states. So happy and so pleased with my stay there.

The check in was wonderful. He let us check in early. The problem is the cleaning staff walked into my room 3 times within a 24 hour stay. NEVER IN MY 53 YEARS OF LIFE has this ever happened to me. I had to block the door with a chair. As a single woman this was not a good experience.

Bruno was the best and very accomodating upon check in. Its our first time in UK. When we entered our assigned room, we can’t open the door and I saw the housekeeper lady and asked her politely if she can help us how to open the room she replied with a rude, harsh and very angry voice ‘Scan the the door turn right and push the door’. Obviously she didn’t like that I asked her but still as a guess for the 1st time and encouraged that kind of attitude. My husband met Rico the night receptionist and asked some questions, he was very nice and friendly. The location is great. but everytime we passed by we see the cleaning lady with a grumpy looking face looks like she hate her job or maybe its her normal rude attitude that makes our stay unforgettable with very bad experience because of 1 person.

Great location - 5 mins from St Pancras. Good shower. Would have been nice to have a more comfortable chair in the room to relax on. Overall good service and I will come back. :-)

Great location for our trip on the Eurostar later in the week. It was hot when we stayed and there is no air con so we needed the window open at night which made it a little noisy. Not so bad you couldn't sleep but was woken a couple off times with sirens due to the location close to central London. We were given room one which was a twin. The room was compact but fine for our needs (we basically slept and showered there) and the en-suite shower was tiny. These were minor quibbles as the place was so close to St Pancras with tube services into central London. the hotel staff were polite and friendly, with really easy check in and out. Snack and breakfast boxes were available if needed, but there was a Costa 2 mins walk away as well as a Burger King.

This hotel was fantastic, located in a great spot and very convenient. The hotel itself was staffed by friendly employees (like Bruno) who helped us every time we needed it. There is a small shop in the lobby with snacks for weary travelers. The room was spacious and had many things you would need for a trip - hair dryer, fan, body wash. It was a nice spot to stay for a night in London.

The hotel is a short walk from St Pancras station so very convenient. The rooms are compact but very clean and well equipped. We were out all day so just wanted a comfy bed in a clean room with a good shower, so this is exactly what we got. The reception offered snacks, toothpaste etc for sale at reasonable prices along with some breakfast items for those who didn’t want to eat out. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to store our luggage so we could make the most of our final day and collect bags on the way back to the station.

Very convenient location for Kings Cross and St Pancras. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Friendly, helpful staff. The hotel has recently been redecorated. The only problem I had was that two hotel residents decided to start arguing with each other just outside the front door. The night receptionist did eventually adk them to stop.

The rooms were clean and the reception staff was helpful! Very convenient location next to the underground station and plenty of dining/pub options nearby. The shower took a while for the water to heat up and the pillows were a bit flat but not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I’d recommend this place to those who are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a short trip.

Excellent location for trains, very helpful and pleasant staff, liked breakfast boxes. Our particular room was noisy at times but not a big problem. The bed’s mattress was uncomfortable—one of those that feels like marbles in the mattress.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff! The room was very clean, and the hotel itself is located right across the street from Kings Cross Station and St. Pancras Station, so transportation was extremely convenient within London and within the UK at large. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, and two supermarkets within walking distance. Best suited for travelling relatively lightly, as there is not a ton of space for luggage. That being said, the room successfully accommodated our 4 carry-on suitcases and 4 large backpacks. The people at the reception were very pleasant and assisted us with scheduling a taxi. Great experience overall!
