Eagle River Lodge

Quick trip up for Costco run. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and so easy in and out of shower. Only drawback is all the rooms you have to use steps or staircases. No ramp for wheelchairs. Staff were very accommodating and were happy to help us carry our bags up (they asked if we needed help) but we were good. Stayed on top floor- had an AC - room was very comfortable for us Alaskans and we didn’t really need it. Large and spacious room and nice amenities (micro, fridge, individual and nice shower and soap - not the dispenser kind) that exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again. And again.

The Eagle River property was very clean and comfortable. The shower was awesome and beds so comfy. If you have mobility issues request 1st floor room bc there are no elevators to help get you to 2nd or 3rd floor. The area around the property has dining options and shopping nearby. Very convenient place to stay.

I like this hotel very much and I was pleasantly surprised about how nice the room was and how nice the staff was. There were all positives.aboitntjis hotel. The only negative is the parking there is more rooms than parking spots and the hotel is in a area where there is no other place to park. If they can figure out the parking situation this hotel would be a home run. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The employees are all wonderful and very customer oriented. Quiet area close to some great tourist attractions and beautiful hikes. Super comfy beds and great showrrs. Easy parking. Loved our three day stay here. We were in Room 205. Would definitely stay again!!

Room interiors are very up-to-date and modern. If you have heavy bags, you’ll have to climb exterior steps …. no elevator !

Nice property in a very convenient location very close to the state park. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was only 30 minutes drive from Anchorage airport. They do keep a deposit of $250, I got it back in two days. Will recommend this property.

Eagle river lodge was an excellent value for my 4 day trip to visit my son. Modern interiors and flooring. The rooms were exceptionally clean. There were no loud noises. The parking was easy, right in front of my room. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice hotel. More like a motel as the room doors open to the outside. Looks nicely remodeled and bed was comfortable. The carpet had a few stains but it was clean. For Alaska it’s a very comfortable hotel and way cleaner than even high dollar ones. I will say my hubby uses a ramp or elevator, although we were in second floor, there was no handicap ramp or rails in the roo we stayed in. The stair case has very low step height, so not too bad for him to make it up the stairs. It is split level, so even the first floor had about 4-5 steps down. The bathroom was very clean and shower only- so that is a plus. Would stay here again, but maybe if guaranteed a first or second floor room. I’m not sure he could do the third floor. Safe area in Eagle River and parking was adequate.

Staff was never at front desk, location was not what you would expect when it is called a lodge. No coffee in lobby, vending machines, laundry. Came in 40 minutes early and they refused to check me in saying it was being cleaned. Sat in parking lot for 40 minutes and no cleaning staff in sight. Could see a mountain as advertised but it is located in the middle of housing and a school with some industrial building being worked on behind it. If i could have cancelled and went somewhere else i would have. Rooms were very nice however, i will give them a thumbs up on that at least.

Great option in Eagle River. Very clean and updated. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows.

When we first walked in, the room looked nice. Then my son pulled out the sofa bed. It was terrible, the mattress dirty, & the frame was broken. There were no sheets, blanket or quilt for the pull out bed even though they knew 3 people were coming. When we asked for bedding for the pullout, she brought up 1 blanket & nothing else! The full length mirror in the bathroom is directly across from the toilet, no one wants that! It was awful!!!

I've never stayed here before. It was great! Extremely clean. Big bathroom with great walk in shower. Beautiful on the inside and outside. Only drawback was the mattresses both had a little "dip" where everybody sits down on the bed. Had to avoid rolling into it at night. But linens and pillows were sooooo comfortable. Convenient to accessing Glenn Hwy and bars/restaurants/shops of Eagle River as well. I will stay here again when I travel to Anchorage area.

The best lodge since we arrived in Alaska! Fresh, clean, air conditioned and a great king bed!!!

Review for Eagle River My recent stay at the Twin Peak Lodge was unfortunately impacted by a significant issue with the room's lighting. The streetlights just outside the hotel are extremely bright at night, and the curtains in our room did not effectively block the light. There were noticeable gaps at the edges of the curtains, allowing a substantial amount of light to leak into the room. This intense light pollution severely disrupted our sleep. Our child had a very difficult time settling down, and as adults, we woke up multiple times throughout the night. The strong light made it nearly impossible to get the rest we needed. For anyone sensitive to light, this could be a major problem. I hope the hotel management can address this issue, perhaps by installing blackout curtains that fully cover the windows. A good night's sleep is a fundamental part of any hotel stay, and this was unfortunately lacking during our visit.

I travel to Eagle River often! I was thrilled to hear about the newly remodeled motel option, as there are not many choices. Upon arrival I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was beautiful, But as a new business I have a few suggestions, They do not have “black out” blinds. They have blinds that the light shines through around the edges. This made it impossible to feel rested during my stay, I’m from Arizona where the sun shines, But not 24/7. This made it impossible to actually rest. Another suggestion would be to provide dish soap, dish towels when you have a kitchen. There was not an ironing board in the room and my internet was down for 2 days. This meant no tv as they did not have cable tv, I did get someone at the desk to offer to get someone to fix it after 8pm on the second night of no internet. I declined. I worked all day and didn’t want someone in my room at 9pm, as she had to call someone to come to the hotel. They knew it was down, so waiting until 8pm is not the best customer service. I was less than happy. The size of the television did not fit the room. The room was large and beautiful but the tv was small and the remote would not work from the bed due to distance. So when the tv did work you had to get up stand by the tv to use the remote. Again this room was beautiful, but they have a few things to work on to make it a 5 star.

We stayed at Eagle River Lodge for 4 days for business. Our executive room was a good size and super clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The kitchnette was a plus. The only suggestion, I have is maybe having a coffee table or a small table to have meals on. There is a kitchnette but no table to eat on was kind of weird but still a great place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

My reservation was for "1 King Bed, Mountain View". When we arrived, we found that we had been assigned a basement room, 3-4 feet below the street level, with a view of lower parts of parked cars. I talked to the reception agent about this. And showed her the reservation. She was not able to help or make a change. The person I called at Expedia customer service also called them for me (I really appreciated this). The property owner refused to make any changes and refused to refund any part of the costs. The reservation was for 6 days. I would have been happy to pay for the first night's costs and cancel. Or even a partial refund. Or a change of room. None of these were possible. In the end, we left and made a reservation in another hotel in Anchorage for the same period.

The staff were very kind and accommodating to my husband and me. We arrived later than expected, but were swiftly checked in. Thank you for having us, we hope to come back next year!

Customer service was excellent. Very accommodating and friendly.

We enjoyed our time at this establishment. The check in was smooth and the person who checked in was charming. The Lodge is close enough to Anchorage and other sites. It is located across from a school and neighborhood.

I've stayed here 4 or 5 times in the last few months, more than one night each time. It's spotlessly clean. Has the usual fridge, freezer and microwave. Liquor store is a 2 minute walk away. Very close driving distance to grocery stores, close drive to restaurants of different types (Pizza Man, fast food, good Mexican restaurants, steak place, and others). It's near the on-ramps to Anchorage (15-20 minutes drive) and the Palmer-Wasilla Valley. So it's clean, comfortable, easy to get to, conveniently locsted. Plus nice staff and not stuck in the middle of too-busy Anchorage.

We had a good stay. Newly renovated property. Had everything we needed. No breakfast. A bit expensive still but everything is in Alaska. The front desk gave us a great tip to go see Hatchers Pass. It was perfect and so beautiful!
