This place is spectacular. Catering to the rainbow community. The staff are excellent and the attention to detail is impressive. This is the first property to open and 3 more are in construction in other locations. 2 pools and spectacular views from the roof.

We were super impressed by Tryst and we are so glad another LBGT resort is in PVR. Staff is professional and friendly and accommodating. I needed to do some zoom meetings and asked the waiter if he would keep my coffee full during my meeting and then let me order food after… he totally was chill and accommodated. Amazing pools and so clean. We had the basic king room lower level and it was a shade small but impeccable decor and clean and stylish. Loved that they were so chill and let us check out late without a fuss and no weird fees. On check out, they show you every transaction unlike another LGBT resort here that harasses you for timeshare and adds charges dishonestly. Only feedback is staff gets a bit bossy about cash tips and price was a shade high. But we were super happy and will be back for sure!

If one is looking for the Calm Sunday by the pool , this is a party hotel and the vibe of the live DJ sets on sundays are key ! Extremely friendly ADULT only Hotel ! Several return visits booked already !

Loved the Hotel overall. The staff were amazing. Jose the pool service waiter was just outstanding, so friendly and attentive. The rooms were great and the AC perfect. My only negatives were no umbrellas on the lower pool area , only one elevator, and the rooftop pool was always way too hot.

As of March 2025, the second floor pool is not finished. Construction is noisy. And yet prices are expensive. Elevator is small and you'll be waiting a long time especially on busy days. The rooftop pool and drag brunch bring in a big crowd. Better to use the stairs. Rooms are small and minimalist but nice. Linens and toiletries are top notch.

Transferred from a subpar hotel in the area. Best move I could have made. Excellent accommodations and location short walk to Green Chairs beach. Staff was super friendly and made sure to point out the complimentary mini bar in the room. Only downside the elevator is super tiny. So be prepared to take the stairs if in a hurry.

The hotel is stunning. It is new with a very modern, but comfortable aesthetic. There are thoughtful touches throughout the public areas in the lobby and both pool areas. It truly is a gem right in the middle of the city. And the staff are all fantastic.

The property was great but still under developed ! It only opened properly a week before we arrived and online it was advertised otherwise. There is no spa or gym which should be essential for a hotel like that! The guest services weren’t the most useful and didn’t even tell us about the drag brunch happening on Sunday. This should be asked first to the guest who stay in that hotel. Luckily , they did squeeze us in even after sold out booking. The hotel was quite empty and only saw occasional few people so not a place if you want to socialize. Other resorts in that area would be better. Another thing which we notice was lack of transparency on construction. There was construction happening and we could hear it all the time in our room. On the positives, the food and drinks were great! Perhaps more vegetarian options and more events throughout the week would make the hotel even more interesting!

This was our first time staying at The Tryst celebrating a birthday. Lovely new hotel with prices slightly higher than the competition (Alamar, Casa Cupola, etc) but in my view worth the extra for the new feel and atmosphere. We stayed in the sea view suite on 7th floor. It was clean, modern and great aircon which worked perfectly. Some areas for improvement are as follows 1. We used the roof pool each day for happy hour. However on Saturday we were up there for a couple if hours and didn’t see a waiter or bar staff. Was not an issue on the Thursday or Friday with great service but for some reason non existent on Saturday 2. The shower kept stopping half a way through a shower. Didn’t bother to report as still managed but shouldn’t happen at the price we paid in their top suite 3. There is only one elevator! There is obviously a housing for a second elevator so not sure why it’s not yet functional? Whilst this is not a huge hotel one elevator isn’t sufficient Overall The hotel is great and would definitely stop again.

Spent 6 days/5 nights at the Tryst in December 2025. Beautiful hotel, clean and modern, great customer service. Room was a bit small and minimal with no drawers/closets to put clothing/shoes in. We found this a bit strange, however I suppose it aligned with the modern/sleek look of the place. We ended up placing our clothing on each side of the bed and needed to keep everything tightly folded due to the lack of space. Also, the shower was frustrating as there was only a small glass wall directly next to the shower, however it didn't fully come across from wall-to-wall (no sliding glass shower door) leading to a lot of water spraying all over the bathroom floor every time we showered. While the open shower had a sleek vibe, it was not functional/practical at all. To avoid slipping, we had to put a towel down each time to absorb the water on the floor. We were surprised the architects/builders hadn't thought this through when constructing the bathrooms. We would most likely stay here again due to the central location, modern vibe, friendly customer service, awesome rooftop pool and 2nd floor heated pool. However, we wouldn't be opposed to staying elsewhere as there are many other hotels in the area.

It's been a few weeks now since my stay at The Tryst but I'm still left with the lasting impression of just how lovely this hotel and it's staff are. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left 15 nights after, it was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable and relaxed. The rooms and communal areas are all fantastic and it's just a few mins from the beach and the action. I can't wait to return.

We were prepared for some noise and construction based on prior reviews, but what we encountered was far from ideal. Upon check-in, we asked the front desk agent Efron about the ongoing construction and were told it was just "minor changes" the owner wanted to make. In reality, we quickly realized that the building’s only elevator, serving 8 floors, was incredibly slow, so we often opted for the stairs. Once we reached our room on the second floor, it became clear that this floor wasn't fully completed. Had we been informed about the unfinished state of the floor beforehand, we could have decided whether to stay in a space prone to dust and noise. The room itself was decent—simple, with an industrial feel—but lacked basic amenities like a closet, robes, and a full-length mirror. The bed was comfortable, but that’s where the positives ended. We experienced multiple issues with the water supply, which cut out twice. The first time was while I was brushing my teeth, and it came back on shortly after. Later that night, the water made loud, jackhammer-like noises. The next morning, while showering, the water cut off for a couple of minutes. When I informed the front desk, they responded with, “We’ll alert maintenance,” which was less than reassuring. As if the water issues weren't disruptive enough, we were also woken up early by construction starting at 8:30 AM. I had for nights in Tryst hotel. I had an amazing room with two balconies. Main problem is that the hotel is still under construction. It meant that I could not use my balconies due to noise every day from 8:30-17:30 and the amount of dust coming from the construction work 2 floors down. On top of that the hallways and the reception/restaurant area is also under construction. The hotel has a very nice rooftop terrace with a pool. There is public access to the roof top, and given the size of it, it can become crowded. In all fairness the hotel did offer me a compensation for the inconveniences.

It meant that I could not use my balconies due to noise every day from 8:30-17:30 and the amount of dust coming from the construction work 2 floors down. Room was very spacious. The AC blows directly on the bed, so hard to sleep. Some noise from the neighborhood. Total miss on the staffs part, there was a big protest blocking the road to the airport, causing 2-3 hour delays. They should have told all persons checking out. I had to hear from a friend. However, in general the staff was great.

Spent 6 days/5 nights at the Tryst in December 2025. Beautiful hotel, clean and modern, great customer service. Room was a bit small and minimal with no drawers/closets to put clothing/shoes in. We found this a bit strange, however I suppose it aligned with the modern/sleek look of the place. We ended up placing our clothing on each side of the bed and needed to keep everything tightly folded due to the lack of space. Also, the shower was frustrating as there was only a small glass wall directly next to the shower, however it didn't fully come across from wall-to-wall (no sliding glass shower door) leading to a lot of water spraying all over the bathroom floor every time we showered. While the open shower had a sleek vibe, it was not functional/practical at all. To avoid slipping, we had to put a towel down each time to absorb the water on the floor. We were surprised the architects/builders hadn't thought this through when constructing the bathrooms. We would most likely stay here again due to the central location, modern vibe, friendly customer service, awesome rooftop pool and 2nd floor heated pool. However, we wouldn't be opposed to staying elsewhere as there are many other hotels in the area.

I needed to do some zoom meetings and asked the waiter if he would keep my coffee full during my meeting and then let me order food after… he totally was chill and accommodated. Amazing pools and so clean. We had the basic king room lower level and it was a shade small but impeccable decor and clean and stylish. Loved that they were so chill and let us check out late without a fuss and no weird fees. On check out, they show you every transaction unlike another LGBT resort here that harasses you for timeshare and adds charges dishonestly. Only feedback is staff gets a bit bossy about cash tips and price was a shade high. But we were super happy and will be back for sure!

The view from the rooftop pool was excellent and we really enjoyed our time there. One opportuinty for imporvemtn would be the furniture in the room. All of the chairs were so low that I could not get in and out of them. The hotel was gracious enough to lone us a chair from the restaranunt so that I could enjoy the room.

As of March 2025, the second floor pool is not finished. Construction is noisy. And yet prices are expensive. Elevator is small and you'll be waiting a long time especially on busy days. The rooftop pool and drag brunch bring in a big crowd. Better to use the stairs. Rooms are small and minimalist but nice. Linens and toiletries are top notch.

However, there is only one elevator and it’s pretty slow, so you’ll find yourself taking the stairs a lot which isn’t a huge deal unless you’re on a higher floor. Also there is no gym or spa, again not a big deal but at the hotel’s price point it would’ve been nice. Biggest problem, but one that should be temporary is the ongoing construction. I’m generally a very deep sleeper; especially after a night of drinking. However, the construction noose is sooooo loud that I wasn’t able to sleep past 830 any of the 9 days I was there l, which kind of sucked.

I only had a night at the trust Puerto Vallarta, but I’ll definitely be back when I visit again. The place is gorgeous! The design is so thoughtful, and the interior design is really smart. The staff is super friendly and the service is amazing. I loved my room with a view of the water. I could’ve just sat on the balcony for hours. The rooftop bar was stunning, especially for sunset! And the lobby restaurant has been delicious. There’s a bit of construction going on next door on the street, but it didn’t bother me at all. A fine trade off for having such a stunning open air property.

We disliked this property so much we left two days early because we could not sleep while there. They had music blaring all hours of the day and until the early morning hours. The rooms had paper thin walls. We even bought ear plugs and asked to moved rooms, to which the guy at the front desk was rude about it and basically ignored us saying he would ask a manager and we never heard from him. Of course no money back for leaving early. This establishment heavily caters to gay males and no other lgbtq+ members.

This “Luxury LGBT Hotel” is in a great location in one of PV’s “gaybourhoods”; but its flaws mean it is definitely not in the luxury category. The building’s concrete floors and walls make for a clean aesthetic, but terrible acoustics — closing a room door sends loud echoes up and down the hall, a conversation in one room can be heard in the room beside it, and any party/music elsewhere in the hotel continues into your room whether you want it to or not. When we arrived a second much-needed elevator was being installed; but that didn’t excuse the construction noises that on occasion started at 8:20am and went until 9pm, nor the lack of communication from management upon our complaint. The staff are all friendly and want to help; however, having said that, better training and/or communication is needed — we were told 4 different start times for the Drag Brunch by as many staff members. We were surprised that there isn’t a gym in the hotel, nor any arrangement with one off-site. The room toiletries are fantastic, but bathrobes would be a good touch, along with drapes that close completely. In-house promotions vary depending on the season and location within the hotel — our stay crossed from low to high season, so one day we had all-day Happy Hour at the pool bars vs. The next when it was only 4-7pm and only at the rooftop pool bar not at the 2nd flr. pool bar. There is construction going on 2 doors beside the building as they start at 7 am. It will go on for a few years.

Great stay at The Tryst! There was still some construction noise but nothing unbearable. They actually moved and upgraded me to reduce the noise without me even having to ask. The pool area is awesome. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

A lovely and unique hotel that is still in the process of becoming great. Billed as the first luxury LGBTQ hotel, The Tryst has all the makings of amazing. However, at the time of our stay (July ‘25) they were still a work in progress. Some construction is ongoing, one of the two guest elevators has not yet been installed, and there was some mix-up with staff on restaurant reservations for the drag brunch. Highly recommended that if you are staying for their very popular drag brunch that you triple confirm the reservation (both our room and two others had their reservations “lost”). That said, we were eventually accommodated and staff is overall quite lovely and very attentive to guest needs. For the price - you’ll expect perfection. They aren’t quite there yet — but a top tier property nonetheless.

It's been a few weeks now since my stay at The Tryst but I'm still left with the lasting impression of just how lovely this hotel and it's staff are. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left 15 nights after, it was nothing short of wonderful. Everyone goes out of their way to make you comfortable and relaxed. The rooms and communal areas are all fantastic and it's just a few mins from the beach and the action. I can't wait to return.

I loved the experience at this hotel. The place feels brand new and it feels like the experience was truly designed around the travel experience of gay men, which I really enjoyed. I'm sure other members of the LGBT community would find the place welcoming. I will likely be returning to this hotel and would recommend it. However, I likely will ask not to be put in a room that is directly facing that restaurant with the outdoor dining that is right next to the hotel (Coco's kitchen). On one of the nights of my stay they were playing live flamenco pretty loudly and though it ended before 11pm, it was getting a bit annoying after a while because there was no way of escaping it.

This property is in a great area, close to the beach, entertainment and great restaurants. The rooftop pool and bar are on separate levels which helps create wonderful areas for socialization. The design is restrained and sophisticated. I appreciated the fact that there are no single use plastic and each guest is given a reusable water bottle with filtered water stations in each floor. Some things to note: - only one elevator - there was still construction on L1 and L2 which was loud as it echoed through the building and started early considering it’s a vacation property and we were staying over the weekend - half of the rooms face the courtyard where the restaurant and drag shows occur; this is a lively hotel so may not be conducive if you’re looking fo sleep early or sleep in over the weekend (can’t speak to events during the week)

Staff was super friendly and made sure to point out the complimentary mini bar in the room. Only downside the elevator is super tiny. So be prepared to take the stairs if in a hurry.

Restaurant still has a ways to go food quality wise to reach its desired reputation. Close to beach. Could benefit guests to have a cooperative collaboration, or at least discounts, with one of the beach clubs. The property was great but still under developed ! It only opened properly a week before we arrived and online it was advertised otherwise. There is no spa or gym which should be essential for a hotel like that! The guest services weren’t the most useful and didn’t even tell us about the drag brunch happening on Sunday. This should be asked first to the guest who stay in that hotel. Luckily , they did squeeze us in even after sold out booking. The hotel was quite empty and only saw occasional few people so not a place if you want to socialize. Other resorts in that area would be better. Another thing which we notice was lack of transparency on construction. There was construction happening and we could hear it all the time in our room. On the positives, the food and drinks were great! Perhaps more vegetarian options and more events throughout the week would make the hotel even more interesting!

There is no spa or gym which should be essential for a hotel like that! The guest services weren’t the most useful and didn’t even tell us about the drag brunch happening on Sunday. This should be asked first to the guest who stay in that hotel. Luckily , they did squeeze us in even after sold out booking. The hotel was quite empty and only saw occasional few people so not a place if you want to socialize. Other resorts in that area would be better. Another thing which we notice was lack of transparency on construction. There was construction happening and we could hear it all the time in our room. On the positives, the food and drinks were great! Perhaps more vegetarian options and more events throughout the week would make the hotel even more interesting!

Beautiful new gay hotel. Friendly staff, fun happy hour at the rooftop infinity pool, beautiful rooms if you upgrade. My one and only gripe was the lobby cafe, although it looks nice, wasn't the most comfortable place to have coffee or a bite.

This a a fabulous LGBTQ centered hotel. The staff were accomodating and friendly. The property and room were beautifully appointed. The Sunday Drag Brunch is a must do. Only drawback was ongoing construction on the building. Some noise and they do provide earplugs. Stocked refrigerator in room with complimentary water and soft drinks, good. No coffee maker in room, bad. Overall, highly recommended a stay at Tryst.

A lovely and unique hotel that is still in the process of becoming great. Billed as the first luxury LGBTQ hotel, The Tryst has all the makings of amazing. However, at the time of our stay (July ‘25) they were still a work in progress. Some construction is ongoing, one of the two guest elevators has not yet been installed, and there was some mix-up with staff on restaurant reservations for the drag brunch. Highly recommended that if you are staying for their very popular drag brunch that you triple confirm the reservation (both our room and two others had their reservations “lost”). That said, we were eventually accommodated and staff is overall quite lovely and very attentive to guest needs. For the price - you’ll expect perfection. They aren’t quite there yet — but a top tier property nonetheless.
