Wow what a fun hidden gem. My wife and I stayed here for a quiet getaway. We stayed in one of the nature pods which is not our style but man did it win us over. So unique and different than your standard hotel. The pool and clubhouse area is high class and super accessible. The staff was welcoming and gave us so much care. If you want something different book the nature pod and spend time at the pool. You will be surround by silence and solitude!

Great visit, other than the fact that the electric charge stations for vehicle didn't work well and when they did, they were super slow. Location was quiet and perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway with the girls.

We had a great stay at the resort. The cabin was clean and very convenient because it has everything you need for your stay. The staff are very nice and friendly. There were EV charging stations which was great. We will definitely stay here again. It was wonderful.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in a cabin and loved it. The property is beautiful and we saw tons of deer, antelope and rabbits everywhere. We rented a golf cart and explored the entire property. Grilled steaks one night and had a nice dinner using the fully stocked kitchen. Hopped in the relaxing hot tub one evening as well. The property is top notch with very nice facilities. Highly recommend.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. Perfect stay while in the area. Definitely contact the resort and reserve a golf cart to use around property and trails. The on site general store has basic groceries/essentials. The staff are really friendly. Can’t wait to return!

The two young girls that checked us in were extrodinary. Explained what forms we had to fill out and were so friendly. Our pod was clean and fun, but hard to navigate the window and door structures. Loved the deer walking past us. The pool and spa wsa very cool. Great views whe we could open a window.

We loved our stay at the Skye Hill Country Resort. The cabin was spotless and felt brand new, the wildlife was amazing, and the facilities were nice. While it was a drive into Fredericksburg, it was worth it to be out in nature. The live music last night was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our time and will recommend the resort to others!

Need lite path from parking pad to entry to tent, very dark..had to use phone flashlights.It was an experience sleeping in tent..enjoyed hot tub..

The property is pretty cool.. about 29 minutes outside Fredericksburg.. it’s really nice .. lots of deer roaming the property.. the pool was nice but a little cold.. the hot tub is great, the pickle ball and shuffle board was fun and without a lot light in the area .. the view of the stars was amazing .. the staff was great!!! Now for the not so good.. your out in the middle of nowhere so there was a lot of insects .. if you open the door at night and have the lights on .. expect a lot of bugs to come in .. I killed about 40-50 bugs throughout the night.. and spiders to .. but overall this place was great .. definitely staying here again

The whole place was nice & peaceful. We liked the views of the water & seeing the deer. Plus our bungalow enclosure was comfy & clean. The only problem we had was the zipper to our “front door,”the seam was tearing & so it wouldn’t close. When we put the second cover for the door it helped a bit, but the zipper at the bottom kept getting stuck where the broken seam was at & it could not close all the way so we had to cover it with our luggage. The other thing was there were ants all over the bathroom sink.

This is about 15 minutes out of town but well worth it. I loved everything about the property. Nature trails, deer and rabbits around the property just sightseeing. The nature pods are so nice and clean almost like a five star hotel. You can sit out back and the lake is right there. The sky is so beautiful during the day and night. Pool area is lovely and clean. Nice place to go for upscale nature vacation.

Pros: Top notch modern facility; remote yet connected; good location between two small towns. Cons: could use better maintenance, it was apparent that despite the newness of the facilities and the good design (easy to keep clean), spider webs are abound and dust is lurking in all the corners. Please invest is a good maintenance crew and programme, a little bit goes a long way. I'd hate to see the place rundown the next time I come by (and I do plan to come back).

This property was beautiful and clean. The grounds were quiet and safe and well kept. We stayed in a cabin which was a tiny house concept and more spacious than I expected. The staff was awesome. The gift shop was nice and had essentials. This is a well planned concept. It’s about 15 minutes from Fredericksburg so you get to enjoy the hill country and the town. We had a wonderful time! Oh and it’s super pet friendly which is a plus!

This was a great escape away from th city. Crickets chiping at night and deer were grazing in the morning right outside our pod that was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. Just a short drive into main street Fredericksburg.

Skye resort was a perfect family resort for our Fredericksburg weekend trip. The staff had exceptional customer service and were very accommodating. The property was immaculate and the property design and amenities were well thought out. The cabins were so cute inside and met all our needs. Would definitely visit again. The resort is very beautiful and well maintained however, it is very overpriced for what is there. I am in the middle of Stage III breast cancer and needed a break from chemo and to relax. I called ahead of time to explain that the chemo makes me sick and it would take my daughter and I some time to get to the resort. I asked if I could have a late check out due to this and she was very nice/ said “absolutely “ but failed to inform me there was an additional charge of $53 to do so. The resort was literally empty because it was a cold night and we had wanted to use the hot tub to help with my pain but they took all the towels inside because of “rain” There was no rain .. it was just windy. My daughter was so disappointed. I really don’t want any free hand outs due to my condition but the fact that we could not enjoy the one amenity that we really wanted and the extra late check out fee when the resort was empty was just not acceptable. They charge an extra $75 just to clean the place and we cleaned before we left the resort. I wont be back due to the lack of compassion and overpriced for half a night.

Unique experience away from hotels, loved the amenities, how wonderful the staff was. and the cleanliness of the entire property. Do note - the property is in the middle of the road next to vast cattle land, but it was a wonderful opportunity is see Hill Country.
