Vallartasol Hotel

Looks awful from the outside but comes alive inside. Old and dated but spotless. The cleaning staff were tremendous. We had a "suite' really a large room and bright with a closet size 2 burner kitchenette. Unfortunately we were on an outer facing wall so a lot of noise from the main drag. The hotel seems to have a bit of a cult following. It's that pool. Heated, big and conducive to meeting new people and socializing. Everyone we ended up hanging out with was a repeat customer (one for 5 years in a row) or has already booked for next year as we have (inside facing). Tons of good food outlets around. Check out O Croissant, 4 blocks up Niza for great French pastries. You could also walk 8 blocks up Niza, turn right at the main road and you've got Costco and La Comer, an incredible supermarket or go along the main drag about 4 blocks to the Caracol Mall for Soriana's for food and supplies. Don't forget to tip the baggers 5 pesos. They are unpaid seniors. Situated in Versalles a more residential area they say that shuts down at 9:00 while the Romantic Zone is just starting up. Internet was an issue. A lot of us had to gather in the lobby or around the pool to get access. We left 3 days before the recent chaos but at this time still planning on returning for a month next year.

Es un lugar agradable, las habitaciones muy limpias, el costo por la habitación muy bueno, no tiene estacionamiento como tal, pero en la calle parece seguro, no tuve problemas en dejar mi coche, la atencion muy buena, el internet excelente . . .

Clean, friendly, heated pool is a rare luxury but much appreciated. Breakfast was great.

Great authentic hotel, we had access to the incredible pool straight from our room, which was a sun trap all day and had loungers dotted around. Room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Located in a reasonably good area, 15 minute walk away from the main strip so noise is low. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby to check out, which feel more like places the locals go! Would definitely stay here again!

Extremely basic, no iron, no hair dryer, no parking.

Our room was big, it had a small kitchenette in case one wants to cook. The swimming pool was nice, water is heated. The beach is walking distance from the hotel, there is also a pharmacy and grocery store across the street and a few restaurants. The hotel has no parking, there is parking on the street but sometimes is crowded and there are no empty spaces. The hotel is right next to a busy street, if your room in on that side of the building it may be noisy at nights. There is a small restaurant but we did not try it.

Room was very clean but noisy. The staff were willing to change my position in the hotel at mo extra charge, but as I turned out I stayed where I was and got used to the noise from the road. The pool was clean and looks just like in the photos - lots of room for everyone to swim. I had the hearty breakfast a few times during my stay and it was full of tropical fruit to start - delicious.

The bathroom was dirty

The hotel was clean. The hotel room (standard) was spacious, the double beds were fairly comfortable, plenty of hot water for a shower. I liked that a 10-gallon bottled water station was available in the hallway to fill our bottles. Pool area is pleasant. Staff is kind. Not the fanciest hotel in PV, but clean and quiet. For the price we paid, I would rate it an 8 on 10.

Good location, room smelled musty, like mold, internet in the room didn’t work for most of the 8 days I was there.

Il ne passe que le balai et encore c’est mal fait Pour une location long terme ça peut être correct si on lave à la grandeur avec un désinfectant. Se n’est pas la faute des femme de ménage ils ont trop de travail pour faire ce genre de nettoyage en profondeur

Room was very clean but noisy. The staff were willing to change my position in the hotel at mo extra charge, but as I turned out I stayed where I was and got used to the noise from the road. The pool was clean and looks just like in the photos - lots of room for everyone to swim. I had the hearty breakfast a few times during my stay and it was full of tropical fruit to start - delicious.

Our stay was in April 2025 for 6 nights. A good budget find that's a close 300m walk to the beach, in a decent area. The good: the kitchenette/terrace/balcony in the suite rooms, pool was great, nice to have breakfast available on site, service and staff were good, close to everything we needed. The bad: Wifi in our room was spotty, which is a bit odd since it was great in the lobby and we were directly above one floor and over one room. From a safety perspective, I saw no fire alarm in the room, no peephole in the door, and no handrails to grab on stairs. Beds were mildly uncomfortable due to firmness. For a budget hotel though, it met my expectations. Would I stay here again? Probably.

The property is off the main avenue that runs from the airport to the malecón. Traffic noise can be an issue depending where the room is located. The only inconvenience that I experienced was that the room did not have a refrigerator or a safe. The bed frame was made of concrete which made the mattress very firm. It’s an older building, so don’t expect many luxuries.

The only bad thing was the really inconsistent internet. Do not expect to be able to work remotely. And I wish I had a fridge in my room but I got what I paid for. Also did not like the plastic sheets but I understand why those would be used. Great pool though and a very clean hotel overall. Great location

Great stay experience. Great location close to lots of places. Only thing was the beds were not the comfiest/hard and the noise of other people could be heard very loud through the doors. Other than that we were comfortable and it served its purpose for our trip!

Property is ok and staff are nice. My room was very noisy (room 313). Poor insulation between window frame and the hole in the wall, actuality no insulation at all. I went across the street to Office Depot and bought some duct tape to try patch it, but it didn't imrove anything. Wifi stopped working after a few days and wasn't fixed until I left. They put some temporary routers though around the pool and restaurant. They have free coffees and pastries in the mornings (sometimes they run out of coffee and you need to go to oxxo ore other shop if you need coffee at 7 am. Uber to airport was 210 pesos. Beach (Las Glorias) is across the street, buses go up and down the street to take you anywhere.

Location was good, very outdated hotel, but it was very clean, very noisy from outside street and air conditioner was very noisy, the door was hard to closed, but for one night was ok.

Good energy but BE WARNED. Very much a local standard hotel with serious deficiencies. There are two buildings and the room types vary a lot. I was in the second building just past the pool which has ~12 pool facing rooms on ~3 floors. Here are the problems: Bathroom: The bathroom door is not floor to ceiling but more like a shower door or public toilet stall door. So to be blunt every sound and smell in the bathroom is also in the bedroom. The bathroom has zero exhaust fan or ventilation other than through the door into the room. Shower was mediocre. Aircon: Very loud window-type aircon unit that struggled to cool the room (but eventually did). There seemed to be 2 settings. Off and Max. The first night the noise was constant (which is a good thing). The second night it went on and off I guess as it hit its temperature targets. That's bad because just as you are falling asleep it gets noisy. Window curtain: Not blackout at all. Very little light shielding so early morning the room is fully light. I covered it with a blanket which worked pretty well. Noise: Thick concrete walls and no street exposure so very quiet. BUT half the rooms in the other building face the street so very noisy. On the positive side just felt like hotel california. I'm sure many great days drinking margarits by the pool. The density forces you to interact with other guests. Some rooms have full kitchen terraces facing the pool. You can just feel many great times!!

Road construction and chaos in front of hotel. Main crosswalk is out of service. Nearest crosswalk to beach is 1/4 mile away. You must cross several lanes of traffic without walk signals. Very dangerous. Elevator stopped working requiring elderly mother to walk down stairs and me to carry wheelchair. Staff were not helpful.

La fachada del hotel por fuera no tiene aspecto de hotel, estaban construyendo y arreglando calles, muy dificil el acceso. El personal que estuvo por la noche al recibirnos poco amable. Hotel barato, solo para pasar una o dos noches, pero nada especial.

This quaint hotel is older but clean and full of friendly and helpful staff. Great pool and surrounded by fabulous shops & restaurants. It's between the Malacon and the Marina and just a short taxi drive to the airport. It's now my Go To Place in PV. Thanks y'all for a lovely vacation. See You Next Year! Paddy

Our suite was exactly as promised. All the staff were friendly and courteous. Great to be able to look out onto the pool. My first ever outdoor kitchen with everything you need to whip up your meals if you are so inclined. The morning breaks was very enjoyable, loved the fresh cut up fruit by a lovely lady.

Convenient to Versalles dining options, beach, Plaza Caracol. On main bus route. Large rooms. Quiet. Very clean. Breakfast-coffee and a sweet roll. For approximately $3.00 US, you can add a large fruit, yogurt, granola bowl. Nice pool! Stayed for 1 week and would stay again.

Pool area was beautiful. Loved having a fridge and also stove, toaster, and dishes. Our room was on first floor and we had our own little patio near pool. Pool was heated and clean. Area was safe but under construction. Lots of restaurants within 15 minutes walk. Costco 15 minutes walk away. Other grocery store closer. Beach access 5 minutes walk. Great area and close to bus. It is an old property but we came to love it. The good outweighs the bad. Good bed and AC works. Staff fixed leaking pipes under bathroom sink. Old shower but hot with good pressure. Would stay again!

Loved the authentic Mexican vibe of this hotel. The pool and area was amazing. It was in a safe walkable area, easy access to the beach and shops. I would definitely stay again

We rented an economy room, and yes, it was an economy room. However, the pool courtyard was very nice and clean. outside the front area. There was construction going on but once you were inside it was peaceful and felt safe.

Overall was a nice stay, staff were great, welcoming and accommodating. Hotel is fairly dated; small issues such as taps leaking, shower not draining properly, fridges are limited to certain rooms and limited ice available to keep things cold. The pool is a nice touch and maintenance kept it exceptionally clean! Authentic Mexican breakfast served for an added charge every morning, which was mediocre. For the price, breakfast should be included and an ice machine would be a nice touch.

The pool is amazing, the water temperature just right and the grounds are lovely. Breakfast is simple and good. This hotel is tucked away off the main road but definitely worth checking out. The rooms were a bit noisy with open ventilation carrying the sound but other than that, our stay was excellent. Within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, shops, spa services (hair salon right next door is amazing), and a huge shopping mall with supermarket and casino. I will definitely be going back.
