Was at the hotel for a few nights for work, have stayed here before and like it as there is a secure car park and close to tube station. Staff are all good, especially the bar staff, and food is also pretty good. It is a very good hotel in a nice part of London.

This is the third or fourth time I have stayed at this hotel as very convenient for getting in to and parking from the M4, and great for the tube as station just across the road. The majority of the staff are excellent, although a couple of the younger girls on reception were not great. Overall a great hotel for business trips in and out of London

Wonderful hotel…impressed with the overall ambience. The lounge area had so many nice seating areas and corners to relax. The rooms were clean and really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely..we ate from the buffet and fresh eggs were cooked and brought to table. The underground car park was so convenient and is only £18 per 24hrs..plus £2.50 per hour thereafter. So pleased we stayed..thankyou.

Great comfortable room, excellent staff, breakfast was very good, public areas were clean and nicely furnished. Overall a great hotel. The exterior looks a bit dated, but inside, it is very modern. Good underground parking too, although the spaces are quite small. Will definitely visit again!

We return here again and again. We like the safe and secure car parking - reasonably priced for overnight guests. We book an Executive King room - spacious, light, modern and good quality furnishings. Our fridge was not working this stay :(. Complimentary tea and coffee, etc. Spacious and well equipped bathroom with separate shower and bath tub. The pillows were too firm and not very comfortable. Would like a choice of pillow please. Check in and out is always easy. There's a coffee shop/bar. We did our own thing for breakfast and the location is excellent in Chiswick High Road.

Their check in process is so easy! You can do it yourself through self-service machines they have in the lobby. If you get stuck, the personnel is prompt and kind to offer assistance. The location is amazing with public transportation right in front of the hotel. The food was pretty good and not outrageously pricy for a hotel. If I get another chance to go to London, I'm definitely staying there again.

Perfectly situated for west side of London - and price comparable with the area. Ample parking and only £22 a night to leave the car very safely in secure car park. Large spacious hotel and our suite was huge with a rain shower, comfortable bed and a full size bath. Helpful, lovely staff. Didn’t have the breakfast but bar type evening meal was acceptable, maybe a little limited in choice but tasty. Underground station right opposite meant quick and easy access into London each day to see all the sights. Also near to Turnham Green for plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Also near Chiswick house and gardens. Will definitely be making this our new base for any future London visits.

I have stayed here so many times over the past eight years . Always happy with room / stay . This time the experience did not meet expectations. There were noticeable stains on the carpet and upholstery, which made the space feel unclean and poorly maintained. The bathroom was also below standard with visible stains that raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. It clearly had not been deep cleaned in some time .

Lovely hotel and close to station. However, not the cleanest. Dirty towels in wardrobes and bed and bathroom not the cleanest, very dirty mirror in bathroom. Did ring reception for clean towels and they did give some more quite quickly. Also overcharged us on parking for an extra 6 days when we had already paid for 3 days and was only staying for 3 days. Did not realise this till I got home and had to follow it up and eventually got the refund back.

The room was very spacious. The bathroom was not fully cleaned when I arrived. There was no shampoo or washcloths and only one towel. Seems like maybe the housekeeper got called away and failed to to come back.

In general it was reasonably clean and staff were polite. However, I would expect better from a four star hotel, such as a sink without drainage issues, hot chocolate should be made with milk and not water; or at least ask the question. When the room was “cleaned” it seemed as though only the bathroom was cleaned whilst the room itself had not been touched. Upon entering the hotel one is blasted with a strong scent / air freshener which needs to be toned down a bit. The hotel is in a good area with a quick walk to many cafes, restaurants and other shops. The tube station is very close and one can get to Heathrow Airport via this method of transportation.

Beware customer experience will vary widely depending on whether they were lodging in the old part of the hotel or the new part. We were in the old part in an upgraded Executive King room - our friends were in a standard king and had a much better experience. Our bath was more than adequate, although counter space is VERY limited. Our lounge area had a small sofa - no side tables at all! No place for coffee cup at all. Our bedroom area had a small bistro table at the foot of the bed - no chairs! Closet had 3 hangers for a couple staying 5 nights! I have definitely stayed in far worse! However paying for the upgraded room was a big mistake. When you book or check in insist on the newer structure at the rear of the hotel!

Clean room and friendly staff, though a couple of issues. Purchased celebration package and they forgot to place in the room on arrival. Heating in room did not work and was freezing, plus event in function room and was so noisy in room until early morning. Great location and parking otherwise. Stayed here at Christmas and had an amazing experience with a fabulous room. However, this time the room was very different and not of the same standard. The TV didn’t work, the sink was blocked, there was a huge piece of silver tape holding the mirror together and the room basically needed an upgrade (room 519). Didn’t report as when I booked it said this was the last room available so knew there wasn’t an alternative. Disappointed after previous experience, especially as the price was no cheaper. On the positive the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the parking was reasonable (£22) and safe and the food was excellent. Also only a short walk to the underground station and a 20 min walk to Kew Gardens. Will probably try this hotel again but would really really hope for a better experience next time.

Had a decent nights sleep here, good sized rooms and bathrooms. Didn’t use any communal areas but looked ok. Some parts of the room looking a little tired, triangular toilet not exactly the height of comfort!

Second and last time I will ever stay in the Chiswick Clayton. Once again, I was given a 'prison cell ' room with no natural light. No rooms have heating including the bathrooms so I pity anyone who stays here during winter. It claims to be a four star hotel and I paid for a 'Deluxe' room (yes, by third world standards). Dirty, noisy (had to complain), poor housekeeping. But the worst part of my experience was check in when I was verbally abused by two female check in staff who called their 'manager' (female) to join in with them in berating me and causing me extreme stress (I am elderly and vulnerable). At one point, I feared for my safety and thought I would be assaulted but managed to diffuse the situation. Just imagine treating a paying guest in this dreadful, unprofessional manner and sneering at your customer while doing so. I had simply requested a room with a walk in shower and had been promised one but then was given a disabled room which was unusable. Also, the staff knew that the District Line was not working for four days so the hotel was completely unreachable by public transport but had not mentioned this on their website so as to deceive potential customers. It is obvious that no staff have received any training and the management is employing people unsuitable to be in customer services. It is a disgrace.

Stayed before and never had an issue, but awful experience completely down to poor customer service. Arrived just before 3pm and the room wasn’t ready. We completely understood, left our bags and said that we would return later (after being told the room would be ready by 3pm). Returned just before 6pm, the lady on reception was clearly padding so I asked whether the room was ready and was assured that it was. After 5 more minutes of padding we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar whilst the “room was prepared.” I declined on the basis that we had been told the room was ready and had a child with us and no desire to sit in the bar, plus it was 3 hours after check-in time and we had already been lied to so we’re pretty annoyed by that point. I was then told that the problem was that I’d booked an executive family room and the group before us had booked a late check-out. Absolutely not I’m afraid. Not one part of the issue was down to what room I had booked - I had booked, and paid for, a room which was advertised as available. Something which I highlighted to the receptionist. I was then offered a room with a double and single bed and was told that it was the same type of room. Again, absolutely not! It is at least 2 levels below in terms of size and price, something the receptionist denied (but the website doesn’t). After standing our ground the room we had booked miraculously became available. At no point did we get an apology.

We completely understood, left our bags and said that we would return later (after being told the room would be ready by 3pm). Returned just before 6pm, the lady on reception was clearly padding so I asked whether the room was ready and was assured that it was. After 5 more minutes of padding we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar whilst the “room was prepared.” I declined on the basis that we had been told the room was ready and had a child with us and no desire to sit in the bar, plus it was 3 hours after check-in time and we had already been lied to so we’re pretty annoyed by that point. I was then told that the problem was that I’d booked an executive family room and the group before us had booked a late check-out. Absolutely not I’m afraid. Not one part of the issue was down to what room I had booked - I had booked, and paid for, a room which was advertised as available. Something which I highlighted to the receptionist. I was then offered a room with a double and single bed and was told that it was the same type of room. Again, absolutely not! It is at least 2 levels below in terms of size and price, something the receptionist denied (but the website doesn’t). After standing our ground the room we had booked miraculously became available. At no point did we get an apology.

Had no light bulbs and no shower gel, made reception aware. Only offered us a late check out which we couldn’t use as we needed to leave before original check out time. Didn’t really help or accommodate for the lack of lighting & soap. I’d stay here again though.

This is the third or fourth time I have stayed at this hotel as very convenient for getting in to and parking from the M4, and great for the tube as station just across the road. The majority of the staff are excellent, although a couple of the younger girls on reception were not great. Overall a great hotel for business trips in and out of London

Asked two different bartenders twice for a cocktail and was refused because they were too busy. We were the only ones at the bar. Later I approached the bar manager as we were leaving to go out and questioned the reason why we were refused, he was shocked and immediately went over to the bartenders and spoke to them.

Their check in process is so easy! You can do it yourself through self-service machines they have in the lobby. If you get stuck, the personnel is prompt and kind to offer assistance. The location is amazing with public transportation right in front of the hotel. The food was pretty good and not outrageously pricy for a hotel. If I get another chance to go to London, I'm definitely staying there again.

Great choice for a much cheaper hotel stay option outside the centre of London. Close to Gunnersbury Tube for the District Line as well as Chiswick shops and good choice of restaurants. Also has parking onsite which was a plus and outside charging zone- would definitely return

Perfectly situated for west side of London - and price comparable with the area. Ample parking and only £22 a night to leave the car very safely in secure car park. Large spacious hotel and our suite was huge with a rain shower, comfortable bed and a full size bath. Helpful, lovely staff. Didn’t have the breakfast but bar type evening meal was acceptable, maybe a little limited in choice but tasty. Underground station right opposite meant quick and easy access into London each day to see all the sights. Also near to Turnham Green for plenty of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Also near Chiswick house and gardens. Will definitely be making this our new base for any future London visits.

Hotel was very nice the reception areas smelt amazing. The staff were very professional, polite and friendly. The Gunnersbury station for underground and overground was conveniently located about a 7 minute walk away. There is also a bus stop directly outside the hotel. We were going to Kew Gardens which was only one stop way on the train from Gunnersbury. It took an hour from hotel to Kings Cross om the tube or vice versa. About 50 mins to Central London. The room was nice the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very good too with both a bath and walk in shower. The AC was very effective. Iron and ironing board were in the room also hairdryer, kettle, tea, coffee bottled water and biscuits. The only thing I could have done with was a mini fridge. On checking the room descriptions this wasn't provided in a deluxe room but was in other rooms. Breakfast was very good some items could have been a bit hotter but an excellent selection available. Overall I would definitely stay again if I wanted to be in this location.

Great location being close to bus routes and the underground - District line. Excellent breakfast with every choice you could wish for. Room was large with large bathroom as well - excellent for the two of us. Staff are friendly and welcoming. And helpful - put our cheese and salami in the hotel fridge as there is no fridge in the room. Would thoroughly recommend.

The room and bathroom were both much larger than I expected. It was very clean and comfortable with lots of extras in the room like popcorn and a coffee machine plus toiletries from Rituals. I had a lovely dinner from room service. There was plenty of choice and all allergy information was available for dinner and the breakfast. The hotel really exceeded my expectations.
