9Hotel Sablon

We stayed in this property for 2 days. The hotel was not like the normal plastic chains. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool and sauna are excellent. The area is also far nicer than the Grand Place tourist trap which is walkable. Our only disappointment was there were no bathrobes for the pool in our rooms and the we had to get the safes unlocked so we could use them.

Kaldt bad og rom, og litt fjern resepsjonist, men flott basseng og badstue, men kunne vært dusj med såpe og noen stoler i tillegg til de kun to solsengene.

The pool / spa area is lovely, nice to relax after a day of exploring. Staff are very friendly and helpful The room could do with a little bit of updating but nothing drastic! Overall, lovely stay; good location and amenities- would recommend!

A bit farther from shop and restaurant. Still walkable but at night is too quiet and the tunnel closed so you have to walk around. Wasn’t convenient. Hotel scene was too strong in lobby. And room was not sound proof could hear everyone in the hall at all times. Couldn’t sleep well with all the suitcase rolling and chit chat from other guest. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pool was nice but small. Overall it isn’t bad just small boutique hotel.

Unfortunately this is not a 4 star hotel… I was informed on arrival that pool and sauna facilities were closed for maintenance. The hotel said an e-mail would have been sent from hotels.com-expedia, but on checking back the e-mail I received day before check-in (direct from hotel…) made no mention and reinforced/advertised full facilities. The lobby on arrival - despite pool closure - smelled strongly of chlorine and pool water which was unpleasant. As one of the main selling points to this hotel, and major driver to book, this was extremely disappointing. This is not a new hotel, the facilities are very tired and worn. Paint is cracking and poor touch-ups (of various different shades) are clear on walls and fixtures. My room was dirty. There was staining on the curtains and the floor felt grubby. Unfortunately the flooring is clearly worn and marked which added to the feeling of being unclean. I was woken to the sounds of banging (possibly repair work) and pipes gurgling on/off throughout the day as other guests used bathrooms. The breakfast was very poor. Again breakfast room felt grubby and unclean, food was quite poor quality and taste. The coffee machine was past the end of its life (coffee machines in rooms were good nespresso). I am very grateful to the wonderful check-in staff in assisting me with a room change, The staff did agree in conversation,& mentioned to me in passing that there is renovations due around November 2025. My stay waslate September 2025.

Amazing beds. Good sized rooms. Staff friendly. Pool was nice although not that warm and not the biggest space. I would recommend overall though.

Très bon accueil. Chambre spacieuse, propre. Pdts pour se laver à disposition ainsi que peignoir et chausson. Petite piscine avec remous et sauna à disposition. Très agréable. Très bonne literie. Grande sdb. Boissons chaudes au disposition toute l’après-midi journée à l’accueil. Petit déjeuner bien garni, pâte pour faire des gaufres , viennoiseries , pain … très copieux. Réapprovisionné très rapidement. Personnel très courtois. Hôtel très bien situé, on peut aller vers tous les lieux de visite à pied très facilement. Parking extérieur très proche. Et surtout hôtel très calme.

Je hoefde tenslotte je paspoort en creditcard niet meer te laten zien. Bij het hotel was het tegenovergesteld en alle details moesten gecheckt worden, evenals een verplichte transactie met pincode (dus niet contactloos) om de creditcard te controleren. Ook de drankjes, besteld op kamernummers, moesten op locatie afgerekend worden en konden niet op rekening gezet worden. De locatie van het hotel is goed, dichtbij centraal station en op loopafstand van vele bezienswaardigheden. De faciliteiten zijn goed, een goed gevulde bar voor drankjes op de kamer (wel aan de prijzige kant). Er was een goed zwembad met whirlpools en sauna inc gratis handdoeken, er was hier alleen geen plek om spullen op te slaan, zoals je badjas enz. Overigens waren er ook maar twee ligbedjes. De kamer was van prima formaat en netjes. Wij hadden geen badjas en slippers, zoals dat wel aangegeven stond. Er was een koffie automaat met thee. Bed sliep prima. Wel gehorig, conversaties op de gang zijn te horen en bovenburen hoor je lopen. Aandachtspunt is toch het onderhoud, de verf was op diverse plekken aan het afbladderen, er zat op de gordijnen diverse make-up plekken en op de zetel zat ook een dubieuze plek…

Hotellet ligger på bra och lugnt ställa nära centrum… Hissen gick sönder flera gången och poolen är för liten och ofta mkt folk .. Sängarna var sköna

Nice hotel will lovely staff. There was an issue with my shower drainage so they swapped me into another room. I actually booked this hotel specifically for the hot tub listed but it turned out there wasn’t one, it was jets in the pool so I was disappointed by this as it was my main reason for booking.

The hotel was well situated to the city centre and fitting for our family of three with a bedroom in what would have been the lounge area and a separate bedroom for my partner and I up, an all be it, very steep spiral staircase. The reception area itself was welcoming and smelled lovely and clean but the concierge could have been a little more enthusiastic though he did provide a good interpretation of direction towards the city centre. We were a little disappointed with the spa facilities; the water in the pool seemed too cold, the music was pretty much inaudible and the linen bin was overflowing with dirty towels. Overall, we felt the price paid was not reflective of the luxury suite we thought we would receive. The room felt bare, there were signs of wear and tear and there were no additional amenities such as inclusive mini bar and modern features for TV such as Netflix.

Very clean and Excellent customer service. Good location which close to Museum and walking distance to Grand Place. I definitely will stay there again.

A localização é ótima , funcionários gentis . - o quarto é pequeno ( fiquei no andar 4 ) bati a cabeça várias x . A limpeza fica a desejar , pedi para limpar , o quarto estava bem sujo ( cheio de cabelo ) . Precisam reformar o chão do quarto ( todo detonado ) da uma má impressão

Very clean room and Bathroom. Spacious and well maintained.

I wouldn't rate this hotel 4*, it was 3* at best. There are small things that could be done to make the stays a lot more comfortable - for example: the toilet roll paper was very thin (had to be doubled over to use!); no milk or breakfast tea in bedroom or lobby area; the floors are mostly concrete (with rugs around the bed only), and not particularly clean; the breakfast area felt like a school canteen, and the choice wasnt particularly great (lots of waiting around!). The area around the hotel mostly seems to be mostly being demolished / cleared out.

The blinds and curtains were broken in the bedroom. No solution was offered for this. The heating was set to 26 degrees upon arrival. There were broken tiles in the bathroom. Overdue maintenance. Mold in the bathroom. A broken mirror. The shower temperature went from cold to very hot. Not pleasant with small children. The elevator was out of order several times, so we took all our belongings and stroller to the 4th floor. Staff was not helpful and left you struggling with the doors to the stairs and the like. There is one person who said sorry and that was at check-out. We reported all of this to reception, so this should not be something new if the hotel reads this. Received no compensation, no receipt, nothing. We paid about 650 euros for 2 nights with 4 people. Shame.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful in giving directions. Room was cleaned sheets / towels changed daily. Very quiet neighborhood and easy access to metro/ trains. Lots of restaurants around.

there were issues with bathroom water overflowing the bathroom

We stayed at this hotel for a couple days based on proximity to the Grand Place and restaurants. We were a family of four, and we booked the two-level family room. Pros: Our room was ready early when we arrived. The two level family room with the spiral staircase was more than enough space for us and our two teenagers. The lower level has a second toilet, which was nice and unexpected. The person who checked us in was very helpful in helping us identify activities. The bed was comfortable. It's a 5ish minute walk to the Grand Place with tons of restaurants. Cons: There isn't much else on the street the hotel is on. The pathway that leads toward the shops and restaurants closes at night and you have to walk uphill around the block to get to the hotel if you come back later. We asked for a van to take us to the train station but they only called for a regular cab. Our suitcases and things didn't really fit and the driver was visibly frustrated. He was slamming the trunk and went into the hotel to speak to the staff. We ended up having one person sit up front holding a suitcase on his lap. Then, when we got to the train station he said he didn't take cards and only cash. We only had American money so he took that. This wasn't the best end to our trip but it wasn't necessarily the hotel's fault. I did point out that we'd asked for a van, knowing we had a lot of luggage, and they said we only see you asked for a cab.

Staff are great, polite and helpful. But… this is not a four star.. corridors and breakfast look like a youth hostel, we stayed in a suite, basic furnishing, scratched white floor and faded untidy rugs, not what you would expect from a four star hotel suite. Disappointed.

I would probably go back to this hotel, particularly for its location. It is close to the historical center of the city and to the central station. However, I have given 3 stars for the reasons I am going to list, so that if you are considering staying here you know what to expect. First when my wife and I checked in, we asked for an extra luggage rack, and we were told they did not have one available because the hotel was fully booked. The hotel seams a little run down. The water closet is in a separate room by itself, the lavatory and the shower are in another room accessible on the other side of the bedroom, therefore, after using the toilet one has to walk all the way to the other side of the room to wash the hands. The water closet room ventilation did not work. The plumbing was a little quirky and there was a subtle sewer smell in the room with the shower. The air conditioning control could not regulate the temperature, and the television remote control had a mind of its own. Incidentally, you can probably find a channel in your language, but you have to tune individually in over a hundred channel to find the one in the language you understand: there is no list of channels. Personnel on the other end were courteous.

Interiors are modern and minimal which I love, the lobby area is relaxing and has coffee available all day with 24/7 honesty bar. Our room was spacious, had lovely big windows with street view, big comfy bed and great shower. The basement spa was a treat with sauna and small pool which we had to ourselves before a late breakfast on Sunday morning. Breakfast is served until 11am on the weekend and check-out is 12pm. The location is great, in a quiet street within lovely Sablon area which is a nice change from Grand Place vibe. Nearby we enjoyed coffee at Kafei Korner, brunch at Poz and had excellent dinner in Venezuelan restaurant Caroni very close to hotel. Its also convenient and walkable to the centre and the art galleries (tho beware the galleries are closed on Mondays).

Great location near the train and metro station. Room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool is small, but very warm and relaxing. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The family room was perfect for our family of 4 (two teenagers). We had connecting rooms with 2 full bathrooms. The AC worked great and beds were comfortable. The free iced tea and coffee in the lobby was much appreciated. We used the pay bar as well which was convenient. It is a great location and we could walk to Grand Place, the Central train station and restaurants and bakeries. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, on a quiet street, 5 mins from shops and bakeries and 10 mins walk from metro stations, the Grand Place and restaurants. Spacious rooms in a minimalist/Scandi style and was fantastic to have a spa pool and sauna. Unfortunately the elevator was broken throughout our stay and we were given a room on the top floor. Our request to see if there was a room available on a lower floor was met with ‘the stairs are good for your health’ from the receptionist. After requesting again, they did reassign us a room on the second floor, for us to find it was already occupied by a guy relaxing, undressed on his bed. They did apologise and find us an available room. Would recommend one of the many nearby bakeries for breakfast rather than the hotel breakfast for €23pp. A nice hotel but our experience wasn’t great for a 4* hotel.

Security - the cleaner let a man into our room. We were half undressed and this was very traumatic. We had the do not disturb sign on our door and the door was locked. This should never have happened

Good hotel walking distance away from many tourist attractions. Staff very nice and friendly. Difficult to park the car if you come with one here. Unfortunately our duplex room had terrible smell seemingly every time we flushed the toilet upstairs. We had tough time with smell and staff spraying refreshers and alcohol sprays didn’t remove the smell.

excellent location, great staff and service. good size room, comfortable bed, great shower. it was a bit noisy in the morning due to construction work nearby, but it was a minor '-'

Very nice 2 night stay at 9Hotel, very handy location and nice and quiet, just 5 mins walk from main square. Hotel is clean and the breakfast is superb. Pool is a nice option to refresh. Will certainly return.

We have stayed in many hotels in Brussels over the years and 9Hotel Sablon is definitely at the top. Well managed, beautifully designed, conveniently located and peaceful. We highly recommend 9Hotel Sablon.

Good location

The staff was super friendly and the facilities are pretty upgraded. Everything is at a walking distance of the center, we just didn’t feel super safe walking on the streets because it was really quiet around the area where the hotel is and we had to walk through a tunnel of sorts where all the shops are closed. The street where the hotel is, is super quiet. My review about not feeling safe has nothing to do with the hotel. It really is the streets we had to walk through to get to the center of the action…in this case the Grande Place. Again, the hotel itself and staff are wonderful

Not that keen on my room this time with scuffed flooring but spacious enough. But I would return yet again for its proximity to the Sablon and museums. Not so keen on the perfumed lobby

Hotellet er veldig sentralt, ligger i et hyggelig område i sentrum. Fint lite spa område med basseng og badstue. Frokosten var skuffene, lite utvalg og de meste var tomt en tomt før frokosten var ferdig og de fylte ikke på. Dobbelseng var en smal 160 seng.

Excelente localização, não está dentro do Grand Placê, mas muito perto… a grande vantagem… piscina aquecida é um café da manhã de excelente qualidade.

Best part of the hotel is the location! Safe, relatively quiet, very walkable. I got the Club Room - it was a bit small and all white, which isn’t my style, but it ultimately didn’t matter. They serve pastries and complimentary tea and coffee every day. The pool and sauna are great too.

Nearby we enjoyed coffee at Kafei Korner, brunch at Poz and had excellent dinner in Venezuelan restaurant Caroni very close to hotel. Its also convenient and walkable to the centre and the art galleries (tho beware the galleries are closed on Mondays).
