We arrived early, before regular check in time, and thought perhaps we could get our room early after the transatlantic flight. This was not possible. We had to walk around Edinburgh for hours, jet lagged, after which our room STILL was not ready. We ended up falling asleep on the couch in the lobby area. The staff had forgotten to alert us that the room had been ready for a while, as they had become busy with other guests checking in.
