Gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Lage im EU Viertel und mir der Metro 4 Stationen zur Mitte. Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber weitestgehend sauber. Frühstück war lecker. Schade war, dass sonntags um 10 Uhr keine Brötchen mehr da waren (Frühstück geht bis 12 Uhr). Parkplätze vor dem Hotel vorhanden, jedoch kostenpflichtig. Das hoteleigene Parkhaus ist extrem eng. Für größere Autos eher ungeeignet.

Second visit to this hotel, previous room at the front of the building with views overlooking the various landmarks of Brussels, a quiet room with a nice view. This time I stayed in the garden area which was at the rear of the hotel, also quiet and overlooking the gardens with calming sounds of birds etc. both nice options. Used the gym and enjoyed excellent breakfast options, fresh fruit, pastries, hot cooked options and a new breakfast menu on each table to select from, a nice improvement which included a Belgian waffle. Breakfast again was excellent. The location is ideal for short stays with a metro nearby to visit other parts of Brussels and easy 8 stops from midi station. This hotel area is quiet and very convenient for working at the EU HQ. It is easy enough to get to the other areas if needed by transport. A nice option for short stays in Brussels. Thanks again to the team

Located beside the Berlaymont building/ European Commission and near all other EU buildings, Tram and bus stations are a 3-4 min walk and will easily take you into the old city center (3-4 stops by tram) or anywhere else around. Great for a business trip in the area. Hotel has excellent conference facilities and a good gym. Our room appeared to have been modernized recently enough and was cleaned well both days we were there. Water bottle provided each day, mini-fridge, coffee machine, tea kettle, and suit press in room. Umbrella provided by staff if you forget it on a rainy day. Water and candies available at the welcome desk. Staff is very helpful and nice. When we were there, we heard various staff members speaking English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish to us and other costumers, which was helpful. Breakfast spread was impressive and opened between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m., but they appeared to stay open until 11 am for the late risers. If you get hungry in the middle of the night, there is a snack fridge with drinks, cold sandwiches, chips, etc. that you can charge to your room. Remember that you will have to pay a city tax in addition to your hotel costs on Expedia. For two nights, ours was only eight euros.

Central, right next to EU buildings, yet the old part of the hotel did not have workign internet and the eoom was dirty! After complaining twice at the reception, I got a free upgrade in the new part, where the internet worked. While I appreciate it, it should not have been that hard.

Estuve alojado en este establecimiento con mi familia del 26 al 29 de diciembre,, tuvimos 2 habitaciones comunicadas. El hotel está en una zona con muy buena comunicación pero no es céntrico. Las zonas comunes necesitan alguna mejora pero están bien. Las habitaciones son amplias, cómodas y buenas vistas (se ve el Atomium a lo lejos), como comentan otros usuarios necesitan más luz, apenas se ve. A mejorar la limpieza de las habitaciones y de zonas comunes, en el pasillo hubo un pegatina en el suelo que ninguna camarera de pisos retiró durante los 3 días de nuestra estancia. El desayuno es correcto, repetitivo y de calidad media, la mayoría de la bollería industrial. En cuanto al personal , las recepcionistas de turno de mañana amables, por las noches no tan amables, los del desayuno son majos. En la habitación 809 tuvimos un ruido continuo que notificamos a recepción y que nos confirmaron que revisarían, nadie lo hizo, así que dormir se hizo complicado. Como nadie nos contestó les mandamos un email el día 3 de enero para explicarles el problema que tuvimos. Hoy día 19 todavía nadie nos ha contestado. He trabajado más de 15 años en un hotel, el problema no está en el ruido y la molestia que nos ocasionó, pueden no tener personal para arreglarlo o es una avería difícil de solucionar a corto plazo, el problema está en no darle una respuesta al cliente. Una explicación insitu o una contestación a mi email hubiera sido más que suficiente.

There was some unexplainable humming sound in my room which kept waking me up. Strangers’ hair found in the bathroom. The staff, however, couldn’t be more friendly. The breakfast is worth it.

Location was great, 5 min to Schuman Metro/Train station or express bus to the airport. Rooms were a lacking in lighting, even with the shades fully open the desk area was a bit dark so would be nicer with more lighting. Little cafe at the front had all you need for a quick breakfast.

Hotel is nice and in a convenient location for us. However we stayed 2 nights in a room at the front of the hotel and there were 2 separate noise problems: 1. On Saturday night the shouting/music from the Kitty OShea bar was really loud until after 4am (even with our window closed). 2. On Monday morning nearby construction work started at 7am (crashing/drilling/shouting/unloading etc). We reported this to the receptionist but unfortunately the only response was a Gallic shrug.

This is 2 mins away from the European Commission building so is ideal quite accessible to other parts of the city. A 5 minute walk to the nearest metro which is 20 minutes from the main Brussels midi station. Staff were helpful and polite, breakfast was a good mix of hot and cold, continental and cooked. Plenty of fruit, tea, coffee and juices to choose from. Convenience to other parts of the city the area of the hotel is quiet at night but still has some nice restaurants nearby and pubs to watch sports that don’t disturb the calmness of the area. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay in the European area. I would be happy to recommend and choose this hotel again.

Brussels Berlaymont is the best hotel for short or long stay. The environment is safe and the hotel is just behind the European commission. The Subway/metro is just 3 minutes away. Outside of the building, there is a bus (12) that goes directly to the airport.
