Loved our stay. Our room was ground level and walked directly out to the sandy beach of the pool. The pool is incredible for infants and toddlers and older children. They can wade in the shallows and play in the sand. The pool also has pool toys available for everyone to use. Our 1 bedroom apartment was beautifully clean and fresh. It felt modern and had everything we needed for a great stay, including lots of kitchen utensils to cater for ourselves. We also used the gym during our stay and it has all the basic weight and cardio machines you need to do a proper workout. Highly recommend - we'll be back.

We had an ocean view suite and it was a really nice room. Very modern, clean and had all we needed. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and an espresso machine included. Breakfast had lots to choose from and the restaurant had some good food. Great location to be able to get around Palm Cove and parking was convenient. The pool areas were really nice, with three options to choose from, and the beach was just over the road for earlier swims. Staff were very attentive during our stay as well. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough - fabulous

Great place, certainly needs a tidy up and is getting a little worn out, shutters not working, drawers broken, bathroom window seized. Everything else was perfect and will definitely be back, pool bar is addictive and couldn’t get enough! Just needs a little TLC

Overall, we found this was a medium experience - lacking the luxuries for what would be expected of a resort of this price. Pros: - Staff were friendly & helpful - Pools were calming, clean & a very lovely temperature - Buffet breakfast was delicious, and had options for people who were gluten free. - Bath towels were very plush & extra large! - Environment was relaxing. Cons: - Overall, the hotel is needing maintenance. There were a lot of small issues that, added up, made for a less than luxurious experience. Room had visible built up dust (especially on shelves, lamps and storage), wardrobe handles were wobbly, one wardrobe door was crooked and hard to close, bed wasnt very comfortable, internet was slow, room shutters were dusty, wall paper in communal ladies toilet is peeling off wall & toilet flush was partially broken (fixed with duct tape), and much of the communal spaces were in need of a good clean. - Lacking amenities you would expect from a similar-priced hotel. For example, no ice vending facilities on the floor - when asked reception would direct me to the restaurant - could not obtain additional swimming towels if desired (only could replace wet with dry), no room service, no bath salts for spa bath, etc. - Pool bar was closed for majority of our stay, as they informed us on arrival that the roof was being replaced. - Pricing inside resort quite high. Overall, didn't meet expectations.

The property is located just opposite the beach with life guards so very easy access to a safe beach. There are plenty of places to eat around. The breakfast options were mostly same everyday so could get a bit repetitive if staying for longer periods. Just be aware that there are no lifts in any of the buildings. So be ready to hike up to 3 levels. We loved our stay there with an easy drive to Cairns but not too far from Port Douglas or other beaches and tourist attractions. My negatives for the property were that the extra beds were not set up even though I had requested the rooms to be ready when we arrive (reaching at 10 pm). We had 4 apartments and the Aircon was on in a couple but the remaining 2 were sweltering hot and took ages to cool down.

This was a lovely resort to stay at for Christmas. Breakfast buffet was great, pool side food and drinks were great, room was spacious & clean. We loved the balcony spa and everyone was so friendly. Beach pool was great fun. Really affordable too compared to other beach resorts. The beach itself is not that nice for swimming, so the different pools were great. We also played tennis in the tennis courts (free ball and racket hire at reception). And we hired bikes from the store next door. Lots of great restaurants near by too. Would come back for sure.

The room was of good size with a nice balcony on the second floor outlooking to the water. There is no lift, so carting bags up and down the staircase was a little heavy going. We also had a balcony spa. Unfortunately, we enjoyed the spa the first evening and it remained uncleaned for the duration of our 4 night stay with a dark brown ring from the water. There was a scourer and cleaning liquid provided inside. The towels were amazing and the bed was very comfortable, with room service each day. There was no bottled water in the room, but a nice water cooler at reception to use with a paper cup. The room's floor was a little dusty around the edges. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. We purchased the buffet breakfast at Peppers the first morning, which was delicious. The main beach pool was amazing, clean and warm. Beach towels were provided. We had drinks and nachos at the "swim up to" seats in the pool. Very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe next time we will have a room with one of the private pools. We also enjoyed a lovely massage during our stay.

Our stay at Peppers was overall pretty good. The pool is amazing, the breakfast was great and the location was fantastic if you’re looking to just try out some great restaurants. A couple of call outs - the staff are amazing. The room we were initially booked into smelly strongly of mould. The staff quickly moved into another room which was fantastic, it was newly refurbished and it was such a beautiful room, they did this straight away without hesitation and it was really great customer service. The staff at the front were also helpful with restaurant recommendations too. One thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of in room dining options (no room service). While there is a restaurant at the front of the hotel, you have to order takeaway and collect it and it closes on a Sunday and Monday from 4pm which we found a little odd. There was no mini bar in the room, but while there was a nespresso machine and pods available, there was no cold water bottles in the fridge or even a bottle to fill with tap water. We had to keep going to the front reception area to fill drink bottles. While they were more than accommodating to do this, it was a little annnoying. Also, we noticed that our coffee cups and mugs weren’t being cleaned either. They were not being picked up on some of the days with the daily room service clean so we would just wash them ourselves but was something we noticed! Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

I believe Peppers is promoted as a 4 star + resort. If correct I would not expect at the price I paid to find that there are NO lifts in all but 1 block. At the very least we should have been advised. Likewise with a property of this standard or for that matter any property I would not expect my bedsheets to have holes in them!

The place was very tired. Well and truly in need of renovation with the plaster in our toilet room even bubbling off. The bedroom air con didn’t work either and nobody there could repair it. The penthouse outdoor area hadn’t been cleaned from the guests before us. The furniture was very tired as well. Mould in the corners of the shower. It just did not give a good vibe of cleanliness, mainly due to its age and lack of maintenance. It is definitely not worth what they charge but if they can get away with it why not I suppose. It’s very comparable to an average caravan park cabin. Pool area is pretty good but still, I’ve stayed at a Big 4 park that’s better again.

We did enjoy our stay But the stairs and no lifts was a killer & the room we had was rather on the small side and there was only one seat on the balcony area but there were 2 of us And the shutters in the room could do with a good clean but overall our stay was nice just a few little things that can easily be fixed / cleaned

The room was clean, not spotless. Staff were wonderful. It is an old hotel so it was fine. the washer and dryer could of been a bit more clean for use. There was some accumulated dust on fixtures. However i am a neat freak:)

Staff, breakfast, pools and grounds were lovely. The room was a major let down and expensive for what we got, an Ocean Spa room with a dirty spa and balcony, hardly an ocean more a view of a dirty marquee top. There was sand or something rough in the bed when we slept when we first go in. The bathroom light lit up the whole room so could not be used during the night and there are no block out blinds available only venetian shutters that were set at one angle. We were staying for a special occasion and this was quite a let down. When i mentioned my concerns at check out, I was just told to write a review, seems like a strange way to keep guests returning by inviting poor reviews.

Place is very old and expensive for what you get. No lifts and parking is very far. Aeration and aircon is inadequate. Lots of bugs and place is showing its age. Some staff were great while some were not so great. Swimming pool was amazing though. Overall for the price I paid, I would not recommend.

We recently stayed 4 nights. PROS - Loved Palm Cove and the location. Nice bath towels. Trying really hard to think of other things we liked … CONS - I had higher expectations for the price and ratings. Hotel is more 3-4 star family friendly beach hotel - rather than luxury Romantic stay (which is what we had hoped) The place bit tired and worn - including bed, linen, bathroom, shutters etc Rooms were really noisey and lots of families and kids (even outside of school holidays) One picky thing - I wanted to get some clothes laundered and they don’t have laundry/dry cleaning.

The outdoor pool facilities are great but the rooms are a little dated with loud ceiling fans, and theres no elevators so you have to lug your bags up the stairs. They also don't provide facecloths (even motels will do this) which was annoying. Overall it was a nice stay but expected more for what they charge.

Solid beachside choice outside Cairns. Very large suite with all the amenities including full kitchen and laundry room, large terrace with hotter, etc. Nice pool. Separate by a road from the beach, but with the beach in full view, not truly a beachfront property by US standards. Quite affordable by US standards especially considering the size of the suites.

Beautiful grounds, awesome pools, and friendly service. Trent (assistant manager) was really helpful with local knowledge and made great recommendations on where to go, where to eat, and what experiences to do. Other than the jellyfish and Crocs prohibiting swimming in beaches, we loved everything about our trip!

My third stay (probably last) at the property. Specifically booked the penthouse Jacuzzi room, and was upgraded to a pool room but the pool was unusable because it's too cold in winter. Very disappointed with that as I would have just booked the base room to be unable to use the facilities. Also the 'beach club's vibe is gone, 2 X bar tenders had barely anything to do and prices exhoborant (4 pina coladas are $96) so I can see why. Was told there would be a bottle of wine and drinks vouchers in the room as Accor Silver members. They weren't in there. It would have been better not to say anything if they are not across delivery of these. I think this might be the last time I'll book which is disappointing as the property has so much potential, and my first stay before COVID was terrific.

The first impression was horrible.My partner and i checked in on Sat 5th after an amazing time at Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns. Upon areival we were so excited to come to Palm Cove but the way i was treated at the check in desk was disgusting. The first words we heard were "Credit Card and ID".?????? I was horrified as i have been in hospitality for oner 20 years incl working at many resorts and hotels. Even after she could see i was upset she continued with the hostililty. We then arrived in our ocean spa room to find the balcony was covered in bird poop and the view was ruined by the roof below us that hadnt been cleaned in years. We ate at La Mesa complimentary only because i had to go and speak to the assist manager Daniel,he was lovrly and understanding, but to be honest we will never return. The pool was nice but the lack of experience from the pool bar staff was disappointing. Not once were our sheets changed nir any rubbish removed after housekeeping had done their job . The best part of the stay at Palm Cove was when we left the hotel for all of our meals and walks on the stunning beach.

I was a bit concerned about this property because of some of the reviews. It's true that the property is a little tired but the price reflects this, things they can control they do very well like the staff and service from the front desk to the the room attendants they are all amazing. The beds are comfortable the linen and towels are quality, the parking is free, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is fresh and offers an excellent variety. Yes you can struggle to get a pool lounge, find me a resort where this doesn't happen? The location is the best and I would absolutely, hands down, stay again. And just for some perspective, I'm fussy with cleanliness, linen & beds so these were 10/10. Couldn't give a 5 star because the property is a little tired but again the price reflects this.

There was no bottled water in the room, but a nice water cooler at reception to use with a paper cup. The room's floor was a little dusty around the edges. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. We purchased the buffet breakfast at Peppers the first morning, which was delicious. The main beach pool was amazing, clean and warm. Beach towels were provided. We had drinks and nachos at the "swim up to" seats in the pool. Very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe next time we will have a room with one of the private pools. We also enjoyed a lovely massage during our stay.

Our stay at Peppers was overall pretty good. The pool is amazing, the breakfast was great and the location was fantastic if you’re looking to just try out some great restaurants. A couple of call outs - the staff are amazing. The room we were initially booked into smelly strongly of mould. The staff quickly moved into another room which was fantastic, it was newly refurbished and it was such a beautiful room, they did this straight away without hesitation and it was really great customer service. The staff at the front were also helpful with restaurant recommendations too. One thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of in room dining options (no room service). While there is a restaurant at the front of the hotel, you have to order takeaway and collect it and it closes on a Sunday and Monday from 4pm which we found a little odd. There was no mini bar in the room, but while there was a nespresso machine and pods available, there was no cold water bottles in the fridge or even a bottle to fill with tap water. We had to keep going to the front reception area to fill drink bottles. While they were more than accommodating to do this, it was a little annnoying. Also, we noticed that our coffee cups and mugs weren’t being cleaned either. They were not being picked up on some of the days with the daily room service clean so we would just wash them ourselves but was something we noticed! Overall it was a nice stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

Overall, we found this was a medium experience - lacking the luxuries for what would be expected of a resort of this price. Pros: - Staff were friendly & helpful - Pools were calming, clean & a very lovely temperature - Buffet breakfast was delicious, and had options for people who were gluten free. - Bath towels were very plush & extra large! - Environment was relaxing. Cons: - Overall, the hotel is needing maintenance. There were a lot of small issues that, added up, made for a less than luxurious experience. Room had visible built up dust (especially on shelves, lamps and storage), wardrobe handles were wobbly, one wardrobe door was crooked and hard to close, bed wasnt very comfortable, internet was slow, room shutters were dusty, wall paper in communal ladies toilet is peeling off wall & toilet flush was partially broken (fixed with duct tape), and much of the communal spaces were in need of a good clean. - Lacking amenities you would expect from a similar-priced hotel. For example, no ice vending facilities on the floor - when asked reception would direct me to the restaurant - could not obtain additional swimming towels if desired (only could replace wet with dry), no room service, no bath salts for spa bath, etc. - Pool bar was closed for majority of our stay, as they informed us on arrival that the roof was being replaced. - Pricing inside resort quite high. Overall, didn't meet expectations.

The property is located just opposite the beach with life guards so very easy access to a safe beach. There are plenty of places to eat around. The breakfast options were mostly same everyday so could get a bit repetitive if staying for longer periods. Just be aware that there are no lifts in any of the buildings. So be ready to hike up to 3 levels. We loved our stay there with an easy drive to Cairns but not too far from Port Douglas or other beaches and tourist attractions. My negatives for the property were that the extra beds were not set up even though I had requested the rooms to be ready when we arrive (reaching at 10 pm). We had 4 apartments and the Aircon was on in a couple but the remaining 2 were sweltering hot and took ages to cool down.

This was a lovely resort to stay at for Christmas. Breakfast buffet was great, pool side food and drinks were great, room was spacious & clean. We loved the balcony spa and everyone was so friendly. Beach pool was great fun. Really affordable too compared to other beach resorts. The beach itself is not that nice for swimming, so the different pools were great. We also played tennis in the tennis courts (free ball and racket hire at reception). And we hired bikes from the store next door. Lots of great restaurants near by too. Would come back for sure.

I was a bit concerned about this property because of some of the reviews. It's true that the property is a little tired but the price reflects this, things they can control they do very well like the staff and service from the front desk to the the room attendants they are all amazing. The beds are comfortable the linen and towels are quality, the parking is free, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is fresh and offers an excellent variety. Yes you can struggle to get a pool lounge, find me a resort where this doesn't happen? The location is the best and I would absolutely, hands down, stay again. And just for some perspective, I'm fussy with cleanliness, linen & beds so these were 10/10. Couldn't give a 5 star because the property is a little tired but again the price reflects this.

Very good pool area, needed a bit more music, but understand it’s close to rooms area. The Gym needs more weights, towels. Breakfast is good, but not much variety if you stay for longer period. Bed and pillows, wasn’t the best for us. Bathroom doors didn’t close properly aswell.
