Staff is friendly and helpful. Convenient and walking distance to heart of town. Plenty of dining options and close to big supermarket like Woolworths. Easy free parking at the hotel. Only 10 minutes' drive from the airport.

Pool not accessible as it was under repair . Rooms good, but the website should alert people to the lack of a pool.

Good gym compared to other hotels in the area

Used towel in bathroom, no toilet paper on roll; very light intrusive outside lights; basic amenities; being refurbished but we were in very old part in drastic need of maintenance; gardens unkempt. Very limited onsite parking and no good if you have a large car; most of property only accessible via stairs.

Before I say anything the staff were all lovely BUT when you pay to stay in a place with a pool & parking you expect a pool & parking. Pool & carpark are under renovation so this should be disclosed prior to booking. There is no pool & very limited parking expect if you have an 4WD or SUV. Everything else was average. Cockroach in the bathroom. Cracked tub. No Netflix. One wall light for the entire unit so you can't see anything at night & the A/c just blew sub par room temp air. Wouldn't stay again for the price I paid

Pool renovation makes the property look unsightly. No electricity for the entire morning and poor internet made me wonder if I’m in a developed country or not!

To be fair property was under construction. There was no ramp from reception to lifts. The place was clean but dated fittings that leaked or caused stains. Musty smelling room and the condiments looked old. But the bed was comfortable and the linen clean and fresh. Also, inexpensive, was a bonus.

There are no warnings or advice on the booking platform that this accommodation is undergoing significant renovations to the pool area with temporary fencing and hi-vis and mess everywhere. It looked like an absolute dive and was not worth the money paid. The bathroom tap dripped the entire time, needing to shut every door to drown out the sound.

Overall, the hotel is looking tired and could do with an uplift. We were not made aware that the pool was out of service at booking neither in the run up of our arrival. But the worse part was being woken up by very loud construction equipment at 7:30am!!! WiFi didn't work properly. Very nice and friendly staff.

This is within easy walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants, and the coast. The room itself felt like it was cleaned using only a checklist without any supplemental discretion about whether the room was clean. It appears that they mop the floor with soapy water, but never do anything to rinse it off, and as such the residual soap does what soap is designed to do: attach to dirt. Without the aid of a subsequent washing with water the floor remains dirty and slightly sticky.

Convenient But rooms are in terrible shape 110 . Everthing felt dirty , stale and in poor condition. A/c unit was growing mold and hadnt been cleaned Shower mouldy and broken tiles . Tap heads well past use by date Overall a very poor stay

Very old place. Shower head was dead, couldn't shower without water splashing everywhere or without holding with one hand. Uncomfortable outdoor furniture used insiden. Pillow covers were mouldy. Unfortunately witnessed cockroaches walking around at night. Over priced for the super poor quality.

Room was the cleanest we've stayed in. The welcome staff are wonderful. Extremely helpful.

Undoubtably THE noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Currentvrenovation noises aside, everyvelement of its design - inside and out- promotes noise transmission and amplification. Great shower to their credit.

The room had lots of space, which was excellent for relaxing, and the bed was very comfortable. The room fan controls appeared to not be working - either on or off - and it was very loud, which wasn't great. The aircon was old and noisy, but did the trick.

The room was spacious , old looking,, needing some upgrades. The worst thing was the outside light that shone straight into the room made it feel like day time. Requested something be done but didn’t hear back from staff.

The double room and bathroom had recently been refurbished. The room is quite compact, bathroom is a good size and nicely laid out. Room was very clean and bed super comfortable. However room wall was adjacent the public footpath on Lake st- so quite noisy. The pool and parking area were undergoing renovation, so really missed having a nice outside area to relax in. Walked across to the esplanade instead. At $330 per night, really expected just a little more. Also, has already completed the in line check in but had to re - provide details. So what was the point?

All I can say is their was to much light in the room from the outside

You can hear the people in the room next to you and above you walking around and what they're doing at night and it wasn't because those occupants were being deliberately loud. Didn't sleep much the entire stay.

A good size bath but again very tired. The bedroom has timber shutter blinds instead of curtains which doesn’t block out light, the walls not soundproof at all, hearing all street noises and the neighbouring rooms every move. The fridge broken and a towel left stuffed in it, a nail sticking up from the tiles where the rubber door stop used to be. I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was refurbished.

Stayed for 3 nights, position and staff were great, room is outdated with extremely noisy air con. Asked if I could swap to another room but told they all sound like this.

The "welcome" from staff was perfunctory and cold. Vague instructions about parking the car in the basement and something about a lift. Terrible parking options. The room was cold and unwelcoming. The 'sofa' belonged in a pool area, not somewhere to curl up on after a long day. The tiled floor had no rugs or furnishings, and the room temperature was too cool. The louvered window coverings difficult to open and close (I hurt my arm trying to close it), the louvres did not close well leading to lack of privacy. The room smelled of bleach, but seemed grimy. The photo's on the website are not a true reflection of the actual room. The power sockets were hard to reach to plug in the phone charger next to the bed (underneath a fixed bedside table that could not be moved for access). The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of pillows. The linen was clean and comfortable, there were plenty of towels. There was a good working iron and ironing board. There is much Wyndam needs to improve on. This was my first foray into a Wyndam resort, and my last. Will not recommend. Prices are moderate. Suggestions: Get rid of those louvred doors!! Blackout curtains are fine and can be washed. Provide better sofa's, cushions and a floor rug or carpet. Deep clean every room on a regular basis and install a new washer for the dripping tap. Provide a toaster and a few more appliances. You would do well to add a scented de-humidifier.

Reception staff are always friends, lovely to see that the property is getting a well overdue upgrade.

An old property, currently undergoing what looks like long overdue renovation and repairs. Pool currently not in use due to renovations. Our room was neat and tidy with a comfortable bed. 24 hour reception was available, which was 1 reason we chose the property due to a past midnight arrival. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff had an isssue with room on arrival, the changed within minutes, next day pouring rain and offered us umbrellas. Always friendly staff at reception. Big rooms big bath. A quarter of the price of hotel across rs where I was at the conference

Comfortable property within good walking distance of all facilities. will significantly improve with the new pool completion.

The hotel is little aged but ok to stay. We found some bugs on the floor. Location is convenient, close to major attractions.

Nice and central to everything i needed

The motel is being refurbished so looks a little tired at the moment but it had a comfortable bed, excellent shower and Sarah from reception was friendly and efficient. Location is perfect too, within waling distance of everything we wanted to do.

Although it has a tired appearance this motel style hotel has alot going for it in terms of location, comfort, room size,secure onsite parking and walking distance to restaurants and sight seeing. It is across the road from the Cairns Aquarium and also very conveniently located for patients attending Cairns Day Surgery on the next block. The beds were very comfortable for a good nights sleep.

Quaint characterful old style place close to the front and a short stroll to nearby restaurants/shops and an easy walk to the main shopping mall Room servicing not always fully completed but easily resolved by reception The clean warm pool was a welcome feature A microwave, some basic crockery and cutlery and a simple small room safe would have been welcome

I specifically chose the Ramada amongst the many accommodation offerings in Cairns because they told me they had room service when the restaurant is open. I expected therefore to find room service breakfast, turns out they don't offer it. So I was late for my meeting because I had to go to the restaurant. Furthermore I had to pay for a full buffet breakfast even though I normally have a coffee and toast. I wrote to the reservations team so at least they are better informed for future communications. The hotel is tired and the decor is old. The airconditioner is noisy and the thermostat failed to prevent it from over cooling the room. So the choice was either too cold or no air con at all. I was charged $30 for a bottle of wine that retails for around $10 in the bottle shop. No wine glasses available, you have to drink out of tumblers. Two redeeming features are a large comfortable bed and friendly staff.

Very clean, great breakfast fab area. Only negative was the fire alarm went off at 4am and there was no direction or communication during the time. The fire brigade attended. It was through whispers from other people that we found out it was safe to return to our rooms. It is a shame that was our last as the rest of the stay was very good.

The breakfast service at the Chinese restaurant part of the hotel arrangement with the restaurant need improvement. When the coffee machine not working they supplied coffee bags. When this bags need refilling, I was told they run out of supply by the staff. How could an establishment run out of coffee bags when providing breakfast.

The breakfast was very poor , not worth having

Breakfast was purchased through vouchers at reception for $20. The restaurant obviously not run by the hotel management. 8am breakfast was in bain maries but cold. Selection of food was quite good but bordering on dangerous forvthe hot foods. Tables had not been cleared, the lady started to clear as we left at 9am. Toilets were dirty. Do not recommend eating there.
