A convenient and comfortable place to stay if you take the advertising with a grain of salt: Coffee pods are not Nespresso (only the machine is) and for the complimentary bikes they only have a total of 4 bikes! for the entire hotel. Supplies are a little on the short side: for a 3 night stay, no cleaning or towel service for in the serviced!? apartment, only 2 dishwasher tabs and laundry powder for 2 loads of washing for a washing machine that says liquid detergent only. Not 5 star.

The room was very nice, super comfy bed! Staff were also really friendly and helpful. Was my favourite place I stayed during my trip to Australia. Only downside was because the pool is on the 3rd floor, it is fully shaded by the building from about 2pm. It’s also very small.

Hotel in a great location, walkable to everything in Cairns, a block from the Esplanade. Nice clean and quiet rooms. Always appreciate refillable toiletries as a sustainable measure, especially when they are of decent quality. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and body lotion all with a refreshing scent. The Mexican restaurant alongside the pool had great happy hour and cocktail specials. Decent coffee from the onsite coffee shop. During my stay, a fault by Cairns Water left the property without water for the majority of the day. The staff handled all queries with patience and friendliness, despite being under a lot of pressure from something out of their control. Also appreciated the offer of free breakfast for the remainder of my stay as a gesture to make up for the less than ideal experience. Only minor complaint would be the pool on level 3 was smaller than some pictures suggest. It is also fully in the shade after around 2pm in the afternoon, and with the breeze felt at that level, it doesn't make for ideal swimming conditions, even when the temperatures outside are in the high 20s. Something very minor though, and I should note that I was always able to find a lounger, although during peak season this may be more of an issue.

Highly recommend Crystalbrook Bailey for it’s convenient location, cleanliness and great customer service. Only downside would be the pool which is located in the restaurant and is quite small, the other pool is located in the residential building nextdoor to the hotel so is abit of a walk away.

Rooms have everything you need and reception is helpful. Make sure you are not put on a lower floor as the street outlook wasn’t the best and it was quite noisy. Also note that some of the rooms don’t have balconies or any type of outlook, some of the rooms face internal at the reception? which wasn’t the best first impression or what I was expecting. ended up paying more for a balcony facing a noisy street with no real outlook also on the first floor. Pool isn’t the best and bar was closed at 10pm on a Friday night. Good place to stay for a room and plan to be somewhere else most of the time.

Mold mold MOLD!!! Run far and fast and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. There is a serious mold and must issue at this hotel. This hotel needs to invest in capital infrastructure that regulates the humidity through the building. I was shown 4 rooms after checkin in to 7th floor. I observed visible leaks through the ventilation system and water pooling on the floor under HVAC systems. There is a strong smell of urine in the corridors and room extremely damp and musty. We moved up to 12th floor which wasn’t as strong but still musty. Hotel kept saying it was because of the rain but hotels in South America regulate their humidity better than this hotel. Big health concern if you stay in this hotel. Stay clear!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. However there were some disappointing things which affected our stay: - poor attention to detail in the room cleaning with dust and dirty marks on many surfaces. - the shower design is poor sending water across the bathroom each time you shower. - no power points next to the bed and only USB A charging points, meaning if you need the more modern USB C to charge your phone overnight, you can’t plug it in next to you, even using your own charger. - the cafe next to the pool only operating from mid afternoon, when the pool area is in shade. All the action around the pool was before 3pm when the pool had sun on it. Also had a bad experience with the ground floor restaurant. After being in need of a morning coffee and seeing that it was going to close at 10.30am, rushed downstairs to be there at 10.25am to grab a coffee, only to find the staff had decided to close up the coffee windows early and we’re in the process of cleaning the coffee machine.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. The staff were corteous, helpful and friendly. My room was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for the perfect stay! The hotel and room looked better than the photos and far exceeded my expectations. If I am ever lucky enough to visit Australia again I will definitely be back.

This hotel had walkable access to points of interest. The hotel is less than a 10 minute cab ride to the airport. Crystalbrook Bailey had staff that was very helpful with questions about the area. The hotel was clean but had a musty smell that was fairly powerful. Housekeeping came and tried to freshen up the room but the problem seems to be a common one among the property.

This property looks beautiful and is comfortable. The room we had with no airflow and windows blocked by metal screens was not nice. Appreciate measures to save the environment but with no airflow the rooms smells damp. Proper daily cleaning may help but really I think they just need fresh air.

Clean, modern room. Fairly comfortable bed. A little cramped in the bedroom part, but the bathroom was spacious. Good shower with consistent water pressure & temperature. Good quality soaps & conditioner provided in full-size bottles. No view to speak of in room 111 - just the road, the top of an awning, and some miscellaneous buildings. The liighting system was a bit too fancy for its own good - lots of "scene" buttons rather than simple on/off switches, which is passable but those buttons are backlit with LEDs which you can't turn off, so the room has annoying blue LED light throughout, at night. Particularly good breakfast buffet, with a lot of options, including: typical cooked items (bacon, sausages, potato gems, eggs in a couple of styles varying daily), a variety of cereals (including Weetbix), various sweet pastries, yoghurt, croissants, various sliced bread and condiments (including Vegemite), etc. Never too crowded during our stay in Christmas holidays. Decent location - not on the shorefront, but only one block back, and an easy walk to all the Cairns 'downtown' attractions. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful hotel in Cairns. Very up to date room and great beds. Front desk people were very helpful to suggest places for dinner and other things. Only minor con is that the door on the bathroom, which is frosted glass, does not block all of the light from the bathroom, so it kind of lit up the room early in the morning, disturbing the other person, when the first person got up. That is a minor problem though and should not dissuade staying here.

Positively it is new, modern and clean. However the room was uncomfortably small - if it was the 25sqm advertised I am the queen of England! As per pictures you could not walk around the bed and if you had any luggage larger than a carry on it would not have had a place to be opened except the bed. I was a solo traveller and was uncomfortably small for one - would have been horrible for 2. As such i will not stay there again. Disappointing as Crystalbrooks generally pretty good

This was my last min emergency hotel for the last 2 nights of a 3 night stay in Cairns because the hotel I originally booked was substandard. So the Crystalbrook Bailey was WONDERFUL by comparison. Only downside was the room was extremely compact, but well organized. I wh preferred 2 big bedside tables and more space on the bathroom counter, but we made it work. Coffee maker was espresso only, but they had a kettle and I pack my own coffee, sweetnlow & powdered creamer, so we made it work. I loved being in a corner room on a high floor with floor to ceiling windows

Only breakfast option was downstairs in restaurant. Room service starts at 3pm but is not communicated anywhere and is very limited. Room service when it did finally come was terrible. No water in room, minimal amenities in room. Mini bar access is only accessible at reception. Very poorly designed bathroom with minimal access to power in the cupboard. Toilet and sink up against mirror so unable to reach mirror effectively. Mirror in the room is so dark you can’t even see yourself in it. Took a long time to just get a bucket of ice as the staff were on break. Room was right near engine room so was incredibly noisy. I would never ever stay at this hotel again nor recommend it. I’ve stayed in better motels than this and was hugely disappointed as I’d heard good things.

Excellent, professional, and friendly staff in all areas, reception, catering, house services, and maintenance. A very clean and well kept facility. Excellent central location, easy to get around the local shops and amenities. Quick ride from the airport. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again when we return to Cairns.

Our stay at the property was disappointing overall. While the staff were attentive and the bed was comfortable, the experience did not meet expectations. We were allocated an accessible room with a fully accessible bathroom which resembled a hospital or nursing home bathroom, which did not align with the room type we had booked. Upon contacting reception, we were informed that no alternative rooms were available and were offered complimentary breakfast as compensation. Although the gesture was appreciated, the core issue of receiving an incorrect room remained unresolved. Additionally, the breakfast provided was of notably poor quality. Given the cost of the stay and the reputation of Crystal Brook Hotels, the experience fell well below expectations, and we would be unlikely to consider staying at this or any other Crystal Brook property in the future

Pros: Great location and clean property. Cons: A majority of the time staff didn’t pick up the phone. Coffee machine didn’t work, they said they will replace and did not. No coffee in the building or common area either.

Great location, 5 minutes from esplanade and lagoon pool and dozens of resturants. Spacious modern room. Bit hi tech - took me20 minutes to find the safe and several hours to work out howto turn off the light to the tea/ fridge area! The on site food was a bit basic, I arrived keen for lunch and menue was limited and expensive but all in all a great stay.

Breakfast was fine. The coffee machine rarely worked and in a place this size more than one machine is necessary. When the machine wasn’t available you had to purchase coffee from the bar. Everything else was fine.

The Good: - Nice and clean rooms with enough space. - Friendly receptionist and easy late check-out. - Safe and cheap parking (12 AUS). - Great location next to the Esplanade with walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The Bad: - Breakfast menu absolutely not adequate for a five star hotel (more like a two star version) with mostly unhealthy options. - Restaurant staff at the dinner restaurant was very unfriendly and not well trained e.g. one of my dishes was not available anymore and without asking they just served something different, the manager made it very clear that there is no priority to hotel guests in terms of reservations and also that our attire was not adequate for the restaurant as my boyfriend was wearing a hat. PS: Please also check the wine as mine was bad and made me feel very unwell after drinking a few sips.

Unfortunately the hotel was let down by its breakfasts, poor selection of fruit which was roughly cut into large chunks with the skin still on - not easy to eat!! I do not eat a cooked breakfast and there was a very poor selection of anything else. My husband, who had a cooked breakfast also complained there was a very limited selection available - no egg chef to cook omeletes or fried eggs which was poor for this class hotel.

Always a great stay here, have stayed here many times for work. Although this last stay they have removed in room dining which I’m not pleased about & there are virtually no in hotel places to eat apart from the overpriced steak restaurant.

This property is amazing - from the cool architecture and funky designs (artwork and colour scheme) through to the awesome happy hour from 4-6pm for $9 margaritas and $9 Taco's (both beautiful) everything about this hotel is excellent. The location is perfect and dining within the hotel is good also. The value for money with Bailey was outstanding. I have already recommended to many friends.
