Holiday Inn Cairo Maadi by IHG

Had a great stay at this hotel. The only issue I had was with the payment. I secured and confirmed a rate via hotels.com, when I checked in the hotel wanted to charge me a higher rate saying the confirmed rate didn’t include taxes. When I showed them the email confirmation that clearly shows that taxes were included they still wanted to overcharge me. The staff member who attended me (whose name I’ll keep anonymous to protect them) didn’t bother to even call a manager in to get the situation settled, he told me to call hotels.com which I did and thankfully hotels.com was able to get the situation clarified. When I went the next morning to pay my correct balance I spoke to two other employees who called in a manager who seemed irritated as I’m sure this case was brought to their attention by hotels.com. The manager then proceeds to tell me to come back in 2-3 hours for the system to update. I come back later in the evening and the original employee who attended me the first day apologized for the confusion and I settled my bill for the correct amount. While I’m grateful my case went well I’m sure there are countless others they tried to pull this trick on. Be careful and don’t take their word. Always save your confirmation emails and post comments so others are aware of their antics. Holiday Inn Global should read these comments for training and performance evaluation purposes as well.

Nice rooms and comfortable sleep. Hotel was well maintained, clean and good service. Breakfast and dinner had limited vegetarian dining options but food quality was good. Overall very good stay.

Really nice work stay at this excellent Holiday Inn, all the staff were very friendly and so helpful especially as Cairo isn’t the easiest of places but they offered good advice. My room was nice and comfortable and clean and I really liked the lobby cafe/bar after a tough day at work a welcome relaxing place and again very friendly serving staff.

We had a very positive experience .Everything deserves more than five star,the cleanliness ,the atmosphere, the staff all are very friendly,helpful and always smiling, thank you so much .
