Hi it was not made clear where to walk the dogs the entry point.I never knew there was £20 each dog per night to stay.The beds super comfy Breakfast lovely Bedroom freezing so spent 40 pound on blankets as i had my 85 year old mum with me The most disappointing for me leisure club swimming pool was completely shut for a long while apparently Wanting to relax at night in our room There was no room service However it was advertised as available so was the leisure club These things did ruin our stay I would return but the things promised would have to be available I would like a refund Thankyou

fitness suite and pool closed. advised of this only after booking. couple of rough bits like bath panel needed replacement. otherwise bed was comfortable, room was clean. too few teabags. good breakfast.

No leisure club facilities available, was informed on the booking page and the hotel would not refund us. Also they wanted £50 deposit on arrival which again we weren't aware of and have not been refunded so far for this. Nosey bikes and cars reving outside late at night. Food prices expensive.

A beautiful hotel, loved watching the swans on the lake. Arrived mid afternoon and were afraid that we wouldn't be able to get lunch - but the restaurant was open and provided a very nice meal. The rooms were beautifully maintained, the shower was powerful and every staff member we encountered was welcoming and helpful. I would stay there again if I come back to Cardiff.

Thank you for your booking which was made as above. Upon being allocated the room, we had a quiet night. The following morning upon looking at the bedlinen we realised that there were faecal marks on the bed linen which we had used. These faecal marks were well caked on the linen showing that this was from previous usage. The Hotel staff was immediately informed and they seemed unperturbed by this. We then ripped all the bedlinen ourselves and asked for fresh bedlinen. As Hotel Team was immediately informed of the situation they agreed as to what had been observed. As a Hotel guest my expectation of a 4 star hotel is at least to provide clean bedding which was clearly failed by Copthorne Hotel. This is an unacceptable manner of providing a service as this breeds disease moreover to children. I would like to bring to your attention that faeces do pose high risks of allergy reactions and resapiratory and skin infections. Bearing in mind the above the room was not immediately thoroughly cleaned No room exchange was offered which brought about anxiety and restlessness during the stay. My understanding is that it is the responsibility of the Hotel to provide clean bed linen as well as environment. As we had come from London we were unable to check out we were forced to stay in such an environment with children. However photos of the faecal marks were taken and can be provided as and when required.

The door connecting the lift area the hallway where the rooms are, did not have a soft close mechanism. So all day and night everytime the door was opened it would slam shut very loud. I was woken up throughout the night. The night staff are not friendly and not very helpful.

Refurbished to a good standard. Comfortable room, good bed and shower. One small thing: the restaurant wasn’t waiter service, order food at bar. Therefore we left to ear elsewhere where we got service.

The hotel was easy to find, easy to park and the staff both in reception, restaurant for dinner and breakfast were first class ( Possibly the best I've interacted within in UK ).. they upgraded room to lakeside which was lovely but the only criticism was the double bed i booked ended up being 2 single beds pushed together which resulted in me only be able to sleep on one half as the gap in-between just swallowed you up

The hotel and staff are lovely, the room was lovely only thing was it was way too hot and rather noisey in the room. Didn’t have a very good sleep at all unfortunately. There was a fan in the room and we had the windows open which let in more noise than fresh air!! But it was still way too hot in the room but saying that it’s a lovely hotel.

Stayed overnight for my wife’s College Reunion. Lovely, spacious room (407) with good facilities, including very comfortable, king-sized bed and great, over-bath shower. All the staff were attentive and efficient, providing friendly but not overly-familiar service. ‘Sir’ and ‘Madam’ used, rather than the ‘Mate’ which seems prevalent in some establishments. Delicious, buffet breakfast!

All in all, it was just an average stay on a business trip. Upon check in I was asked if I would like to add breakfast on my booking which I didnt at the time but wasnt told what time breakfast was. I decided to go for breakfast the following morning but took a guess on the time as no information in the room as the times for breakfast or dinner. In fact no information booklet at all in the room There were on the bed when I arrived in the room the cards you hook on the door which you use for do not distrurb which is what I thought they were so put them on the side and left them there. When I got back to my room after being at work all day, my room had not been serviced and a card pushed through my door to say Id said for my room not to be serviced by house keeping. What the cards are for are to inform housekeeping that you either did or did not want housekeeping to service your room. if you were supposed to do this you should be informed at check in or information in the room to tell you to do this. Never in all the years of staying in a hotel and this is supposed to be a 4 star do you have to let housekeeping know to clean your room or not surely in this day and age it should be an automatic thing, you even get this done in a premier inn, due to my room not being serviced I had to go all the way back down to reception to get some teabags as I didn't have any left. Just a little more information to guests is what is required upon check in

The reception staff were outstanding. They went to great lengths to ensure our rooms were close to each other. All the staff were really kind and friendly and took great care of us. Great location. Feels rural - my friend saw a kingfisher! - but is right next to a useful small retail park and very reachable by road. Everything except the bath plug worked. Cosy. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast. For the night that we booked, it was good value, though it often costs more.

We used this hotel when watching the European final at the Principality Stadium. It was a 10 min taxi to the stadium and the hotel had plenty of free parking available. Lots of convenient shops around - Tesco over the road plus a McDonalds which was handy when coming home after the game! Staff all friendly and the room was very clean. Huge bed which was very comfortable.

From the moment of checking in, we were met with very friendly, smiley staff, who made me feel very welcome on my first visit to the area. Very engaging with any queries I had and gave the relevant information to aid my query. Food - was excellent with plenty of choices. A lovely view from restaurant of the lake with the wildlife.

The reception staff were outstanding. They went to great lengths to ensure our rooms were close to each other. All the staff were really kind and friendly and took great care of us.
