White Hart Hotel & Apartments

The car park spaces were tight and not easy to manoeuvre into or exit from. On leaving the card given by a receptionist did not function which necessitated me blocking the barrier as I had to go to reception in order for the barrier to be raised from the office The 225 was very small and not good value for what I paid. We were only guests for two nights celebrating my wife’s birthday and was disappointed by the accommodations.

Plenty of on-site parking at a not unreasonable £15 per night. Very convenient for the town centre etc.

the rooms were comfy, the fat badger was delicious, the bath was HOT, the tea in the room was perfect, check in was a snap, they worked with us on our bags, it was a delight.

Quick and efficient check-in. Clean room and good for our overnight stay. Only downside, the mattress felt like it was ready for replacing, could feel the springs. Very convenient for Harrogate and managed to find parking near-by.

The Badger Bar is an asset but would have liked a lounge. Also entrance/reception.very dark.

Really nice stay. Only negative was price of parking at £15 per night for guests. Steep to me and added £30 to cost of stay. Aside from that, no complaints

Central location great breakfast and has its own pub

We arrived at the property early and tried to get a early check in due to the weather but unfortunately this wasnt possible however this wasnt a problem and only to be expected when fully bookec the night before . When we did check in we had been up graded to another room which was nice of the hotel . Overall hotel room was large and clean and comfortable but on a closer inspection of the shower this needs a really good clean around the edges of the shower could see mould which was the only disappointing thing about our stay .

We really enjoyed our stay at the White Hart Hotel, ch3ckin was efficient, our room was spacious but perhaps needed some maintenance in relation to the standard of woodwork, just some touching up of paint, hoovering behind the door and cleaning of the harder to reach areas and tile grout. But overall I would recommend the hotel to friends and family and the attached pub, the Fat Badger was a super part of our stay with great food and drink choices.

Well located for the town, bedroom was well appointed but the carpet could have down with a good vacuuming.

Whilst clean overall, it was a little run down with the ceiling appearing a little patchy in places. The room was also smaller than expected. The bathroom had a faint lingering smell of urine.the carpets and bed seemed clean and the bed was comfortable.

Great location and fat badger is a great pub and restaurant Only gripe was the carpet in the room was minging and needs a new one and the shower needs a good clean too

The hotel was lovely, great modern clean room, nice staff and great location. But the carpets in the hallways and to the rooms either need replacing or cleaning, it doesn't give a great impression of the hotel whilst walking to your room.

Generally a nice place to stay and excellent location. But the smell in the room and hallway reminds me of a nursing home had to go out and purchase an air freshener . Don’t know what they use but made me feel sick.

Nice spacious clean room. Had booked private bathroom which turned out to be the worst decision as had to venture out in the hall to the bathroom during the night. The bathroom was literally that... a toilet and a bath. No shower!!

Ok let’s start by saying this is not the hotels fault as it didn’t state air con, I didn’t add to filter so my mistake, it wax a hot day and night yesterday so without air con it was simply unbearable in the rooms and the fans supplied were totally useless and so sadly I slept in my car half the night , a real shame as the hotel/ pub/ service is excellent, shame they don’t splash out in air con to upgrade the lovely hotel

Woken up twice to unplanned fire alarms within the space of 2 hours. Room was like an oven! Was very difficult to sleep. As soon as someone walks anywhere near the room, you can hear everything. Walls must be like paper.

We stayed in a standard double room. The positives: Well located in Harrogate. It has parking (£15/night). The room and bathroom is well decorated. Pub food was good. The negatives: Single glazing means it can be noisy and cold. The window frames are rotting at the edges. The pub is a bit pretentious.

The room was ok, we booked the cosy room however it was ROASTING and when we would open the windows (only one would open properly) we were greeted by a giant extractor fan from the pub next door which was extremely loud so we couldn’t sleep. We went to reception to complain and we were given a small fan which didn’t really do much so had to choose between sleeping in a room which was basically an oven or have ridiculously loud extractors fans all night. Did not have a good sleep at all. Shower always ok although the temperature dials and signage for temperature were the wrong way round, furthermore the shower was either scorching hot or freezing - couldn’t find the median. Breakfast was okay, it came to £31.50 each although I thought it was supposed to be £13.95 for people staying in the hotel. Stains on blinds in room and towels had holes in.

I arrived 9:00pm. I went to my room which was fine. I watched tv for a while and then tried to sleep. There was a consistent noise outside my window like a helicopter was sitting outside my window. I couldn’t see out the window because it was frosted glass. I tried to sleep for an hour but the noise was driving me crazy. I rang reception and someone came up fairly quickly. He said I could have some earplugs or change room. He said the noise was the boiler system for the hotel and obviously couldn’t be turned off. I decided to switch rooms which was a pain as I had to get dressed again and repack my things, however the new room was much quieter. I’m pretty disappointed that someone would be put in a room like this especially as I paid a bit extra to have a nicer room. The problem was dealt with quickly and politely and I was happy with the rest of my stay

The room itself was pleasant and comfortable. Unfortunately it was massively let down by being directly above the bar which was busy until past midnight. The single glazing sash windows were rotted so had gaps meaning trying to sleep was like trying to nap on the bar! You could hear every laugh, conversation, etc. I haf also looked for somewhere that included parking and it wasmt made clear at booking that this woyld be an additional charge.

Large spacious well presented room, only thing we found a bit of an issue, was the bathroom was not in the room, you had your own private bathroom but it was down the corridor so a bit of a pain if you just wanted to nip to wash your hands etc ...

Excellent location, Lovely clean modern bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower. Nice breakfast in the fat Badger which has super decor. Parking was extra but could stay until 2pm on day of departure. Only downside was room was rather hot we opened the window but room was next to kitchen roof so the extractor fans were noisy, luckily we took our own portable fan.

Incredibly small room. Not even big enough to stand the ironing board. The room walls aren't sound proof. Heard conversations from neighbouring rooms late into the night disrupting my sleep.

Had a great say, staff friendly and helpful, accommodation excellent and so convenient for the centre of Harrogate. Would definitely recommend.

⸻ Disappointing Experience – Would Not Return We were very disappointed with our recent stay. Upon arrival, my husband asked for directions to our room, only to be met with an unhelpful and rude response from staff who remarked, “Most people manage to find it.” Not only was this dismissive, but it also set the tone for a stay that felt far below the standard we expected. Our room was located in a completely separate building up the road, with no signage to indicate any affiliation with the hotel. This made it both confusing and inconvenient, especially for first-time guests. Additionally, the layout of the room assignments was baffling. We were placed in Room 421, which is misleadingly located on the second floor. Clearer numbering or better signage would go a long way toward avoiding confusion. The experience was further marred by a persistent issue with the toilet, which ran constantly throughout our stay — an irritating noise that should have been addressed before our arrival. Finally, despite a standard checkout time, housekeeping knocked on our door early in the morning, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. We expected a much higher level of service and basic attention to detail. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice stay again,we must be in double figures now, very comfortable, excellent location. Good checking in process, only slight criticism was at checkout when there was no thanks, or enquiring if we had a good stay etc. Minor issue though across a very nice visit

Stayed here before so knew what to expect, & we know the area. All fine & great room, but on previous occasions we found staff were excellent, on this occasion they could have been better, check in was great & friendly but no rapport from the bar staff, and at check-out she just checked the room number on computer (for any payable extras I assume) & said all OK dissmissively and looked back down, no “did you enjoy your stay, was everything alright for you” etc as you usually get on checking out of a hotel.

Ideal central hotel in Harrogate. Parking available too. Good restaurant for evening meal. Staff very helpful.

Great hotel in an amazing location. Had dinner in the restaurant which was also fabulous. There is a car park at the hotel that is £15 per night for residents which is good value for a city centre.

Warm welcome and clear guidance, given by staff. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable, although on the small side with ample storage. The Fat Badger pub adjoining is atmospheric and well worth a visit. The only issue experienced, was a chaotic breakfast on the second morning, for some reason or other.

The hotel had a smell in the corridors, not sure if food / musty. and the room was simiilar. TV didn`t work kept saying no signal, wifi was weak and pillows not very comfortable. Nice dining room for breakfast but bad sausages,

Room was lovely clean, well furnished with a comfy bed. Breakfast wasnt great the toast machine was just burning the bread poor none cooked breakfast selection and it just wasnt worth the £12 pp. Will stay again but venture out for breakfast.

Great one night stay in an ideal location. Good breakfast buffet but service waiting for coffee could have been quicker. Massive well equipped room. We were made aware that on ensuite bathroom was across the corridor. This was not ideal when paying this amount of money. I would say that the bedroom is massive so plenty of space to create a toilet within the room. Overall great hotel & we would stay here again.

Beautifully presented hotel in an excellent location. Missing little touches in the rooms like water and quality toiletries. Breakfast used to be freshly made to order and now it is a buffet service. Definitely better the last time we stayed.
