Lovely hotel a stones throw from the centre of Harrogate. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Room radiators didn’t work so had two small oil filled radiators that kept the room just warm enough. Parking is on the roads outside the hotel and are pay and display in 4 hour blocks and past 6pm (I think) it carries you over to the next day. All in all a nice hotel

Well presented hotel, lovely friendly and thoughtful staff. Real soft fluffy large towels, comfy and spacious bed, lovely room with all amenities. Nice breakfast, easy and close by parking. What’s not to like.

Another great stay on our second time there. VG location. Lovely staff, helpful attitudes, terrific meals and great courtyard that is welcoming to smokers. Some bedroom decor in need of attention after sun bleaching and peeling, but would definitely go back and recommend fir weekends or as a base for longer stays.

Great location and staff are helpful and friendly. Room facilities were good. Comfy bed. Lovely cocktails from the bar. Good tea tray with quality products. Parking is very convenient right outside and reasonably priced. The bathroom really needs a shower enclosure as the bath was tricky to step into and the rubber mat is straight from the 70s! The decor was looking a little worn and tired.

As always we enjoy our stays at the Hotel du Vin & Bistro but there are a couple of opportunities for improvement, parking is hit and miss, we have parked in the car parking spaces outside the hotel previously and this time were told at reception that the hotel categorically did not have any parking facilities. There is however plenty of parking around the hotel area. My second niggle was the queue for the (one) coffee machine at breakfast in the morning, for a hotel of this standard please invest in at least one other coffee machine and please take breakfast orders in a timely manner, we and others waited quite a while for our hot breakfast order to be taken.

Loved our one night stay with the dog! Perfect location for a few bars and restaurants in less then a minute. We’ve visited hotel du vin in Newcastle and have loved both hotels, will definitely be trying other locations!

My room was excellent, clean, and with a roomy bathroom. The front desk was open 24/7 whenever I had a question or need. The location to the town center was awesome. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in the area.

Hotel perfectly located. I know that Hotel Du Vin have started on a program of refreshments throughout their portfolio so basing this on how the hotel currently is. Room had a smell of sweat, felt like it needed a good airing. Attention to detail on the cleaning was not very good at all, found a toenail in the bath, general grime and dust. Bed was atrocious. How that mattress is still on the bed is beyond me. Two large dips meant it was impossible to get comfortable, had me up several times in the night. Awful, one of the worst. Junior suite located above bar area so music was clearly audible in the room. In general the hotel and decor are tired and are in urgent need of a refresh! But the bed was inexcusable. Breakfast was lovely.

We stated in Quinta, one of the basement rooms… it was glorious. Giant bed, plenty of space and luxury fittings. Bathroom a little tricky to manage if you have any mobility issues due to steps but the shower was fab. Food was good in restaurant and breakfast filling. One criticism Whole place was spotless except bathroom fan (see pic) which seems a minor thing but if you compared to the rest of the place it really stood out as an oversight. Otherwise excellent overall

The second time of staying at this hotel. We really like it here but this time the room was on the ground floor (We were offered a choice of this or an ‘attic’ room on arrival) but had already unpacked in the ground floor one before we realised that there was no ventilation in the bedroom. None of the windows opened (for safety) but there was no other way to get air into the room (no air conditioning for example). This really bothered me through the night as the room felt hot and airless. Might not bother anyone else but would advise you to check if you suffer similarly. On reflection we should have repacked and asked for the other room but I thought I could manage. Did advise reception when we left but not sure what they can do about it. Would stay there again but would make sure to be on another floor.

An excellent hotel, close to the centre of Harrogate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great, but didn't have air conditioning so really hot in the heatwave. Bistro was great, quality food and service. Breakfast excellent.

Lovely hotel , the staff were very friendly and it’s in a great location to all the bars and restaurants. The room was very quiet, the only small issue was the bed wasn’t very comfortable and it was quite hot. I would definitely stay again

Nice hotel with smart communal areas and bar. Staff really professional but also friendly. Room great with roll top bath and view of The Stray. Comfortable bed and great breakfast in restaurant. The only negative comment would be about the poor lightingbin the bedroom which could have been better.

Our room was ‘tired’ and in need of upgrading. The toilet cistern was very poor and flushing was poor. The deep bath caused a problem getting in to use the shower. Grab handles are needed. Wi-Fi was very poor in the room, the signal regulary dropped. £15 to park your car is so expensive!

Excellent location, attentive staff and a modern and cosy reception/bar area. Really enjoyed our stay, however our room was a little tired - marks on the carpet, scuffed walls, paint peeling on the wardrobe. The room facilities were very good, but we also had a space for a fridge which was not there… didn’t affect our stay so we didn’t raise it with reception but if you were staying longer or in summer you would probably want to ensure it was there. I can’t speak for other rooms but ours fell a little short of expectations.

Disappointing with room service. Ordered late night. Ordered bolognese. Told it would be 5 mins. 40 mins later I was inform they didn’t have any, only a sandwich. Waited another 35ms for a sandwich. Total 1hr 15ms for food, but still got charge for it went I checked out. Overall, very poor.

Taylor and Gerry helped us to surprise our daughter and future son in law after their engagement, even though the system was down thru got us entry to the rooms so our plan didn’t fail. They went above and beyond to help us.

Power outage left us without power or water for an hour on the morning of our stay at peak time for getting ready to check out. We felt the hotel failed to communicate what was going on and generally had a very nonchalant attitude to the situation. Not at all apologetic I would not stay again and would further add that in general the beautiful hotel and building is in need of many upgrades to claim to be a four star hotel Not worth the money and not recommended.

All of the staff truly made this the most enjoyable vacation ever! However one stood out, it was the front office manager Gergana who greeted us with warmth and professionalism that went above and beyond! At one point we were just struggling with time zone changes and the heat that had unexpectedly surprised everyone in England, she not only guided us to make arrangements with venues that were available in the later hours and air conditioned, she helped us make our bookings and get the most out of our vacation! We had traveled five days to get to Harrogate England dues to several flight cancellations but because of her help we went from miserable to totally rested, relaxed and rejuvenated! It was her kindness and caring that made our experience amazing! All of the staff truly made this the most enjoyable vacation ever! However one stood out, it was the front office manager Gergana who greeted us with warmth and professionalism that went above and beyond! At one point we were just struggling with time zone changes and the heat that had unexpectedly surprised everyone in England, she not only guided us to make arrangements with venues that were available in the later hours and air conditioned, she helped us make our bookings and get the most out of our vacation! We had traveled five days to get to Harrogate England dues to several flight cancellations but because of her help we went from miserable to totally rested, relaxed and rejuvenated! It was her kindness and caring that made our experience amazing! We had a pleasant stay. BUT: check in was lengthy and disorganised, resulting in a mix up on the bills as we were leaving, queues to check out, not being able to charge drinks to both rooms we'd booked. Service at the bar on Saturday evening was slow. It's a bit difficult to actually get to the bar to be served if all the bar stools are in use. The hotel was significantly overheated too.

Very well located for central Harrogate, short walk from Bettys, shops and station. Amenities in the room were decent and bed and towels lovely quality. We had a basement room which was difficult to access with luggage but even the steps to main door are difficult so not a good spot to stay if you require accessible space but otherwise good

WHAT A HOTEL!!! A great base for exploring the delights of Harrogate & surroundings. The hotel was very clean, staff were helpful and the breakfasts were great. We caught the train to York as well so a good base for various reasons

The second time of staying at this hotel. We really like it here but this time the room was on the ground floor (We were offered a choice of this or an ‘attic’ room on arrival) but had already unpacked in the ground floor one before we realised that there was no ventilation in the bedroom. None of the windows opened (for safety) but there was no other way to get air into the room (no air conditioning for example). This really bothered me through the night as the room felt hot and airless. Might not bother anyone else but would advise you to check if you suffer similarly. On reflection we should have repacked and asked for the other room but I thought I could manage. Did advise reception when we left but not sure what they can do about it. Would stay there again but would make sure to be on another floor.

The hotel is welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent and staff are very friendly and professional. Food in the restaurant was OK. My meal was delicious. My wife's was poor - an onion tart starter tasted as if the pastry was made with little care, it was hard and tasteless. Our room looked lovely but as it was one of the basement rooms it was impossible to sleep in it. The foot traffic in the restaurant and public areas above our room was noisy and incessant. It may be an idea to provide guests in the basement rooms with ear plugs. Also the room was stuffy and lacked air. I would definitely return to the Hotel du Vin, there is a lot to like, but I would not take a basement room and perhaps take dinner somewhere else.

For the price of the room would expect more eg stocked minibar breakfast is now mostly buffet. Hot water for tea not hot enough. Toast is no longer quality granary but cheap sliced bread. Eggs Benedict smothered with sauce with bread not toasted. Used to be so much better

Beautiful room and good location- parking was a bit of a faff as I was told I was almost about to be blocked in with a bollard upon checking in - not the best of welcomes when I’m spending several hundred pounds for a room for the night. £15 parking charge was also steep given the price of a room (which was beautiful)

All good apart from not been able to check in at 3pm as room wasn’t reedy, however two free drinks at the bar wasn’t so bad, we had a great stay and the room was lovely too. Will be returning in October. Many thanks
