The only thing the toilet tissue holder is broken, space is just enough for one to two person . The elevator is too small and very very slow you have to wait for a long time .The place is clean, convenient to walkable bus stations and restaurants. You can hear all steps upstairs who stays there. Staff are good. My stay is pleasant.

Really nice hotel close to the HydePark, so if you like morning runs, this location is perfect. A lot of dining options around. Close to two subway stations and to Paddington train station (where you can jump on the Elisabeth line that will take you to the airport). Staff really friendly and helpful (free deposit boxes at the reception). Room nice, warm and cozy. Small but you have everything you need in it. Good breakfast. I recommend this hotel for a short to medium length stay.

Decent size of the room, quite liked the hotel and the rooms are much bigger than rooms in many other hotels in London i stayed before. Luggage storage available. Overall stay was good. Wi-Fi was very good

Reception entrance is very modern and stylish. My room was ok but very hot and humid in the evening. I had a fan but it wasn’t working properly so they replaced it with an old school van and it was a lot better. The lift was very slow and took too long to come. Breakfast options were ok, could be better. Was abit of a pain to get an uber to my locations, but I suppose that was because it was during the carnival period.

Location was great for restaurants, shopping and Bayswater underground. Hotel is pretty tired looking. There is a bar onsite but it wasn’t open the few times we wanted a drink. Bed was very uncomfortable and the room was very cramped. Looked nothing like the photos on the website.

Great safe area for a solo traveler. The room was a great size. There was no AC but the weather was incredible so I just needed the fan. I loved the breakfast. Lots of options. You can easily stow your luggage until check in. You are right down the street from bayswater and Queensway underground. Super great area. Lots of restaurant options around. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Excellent place for the price, good for a short stay like a citytrip we had, nice and clean and quiet, good bathroom and tv, light, interior, not too great but okay, we missed only a personal safe and a minibar, but life without this is possible

We were there for 6 days. The location was great for dining and shopping. Near the Tube and park for a run. No air conditioning!! However they did have a fan in the room and they also gave us a portable small air conditioner. The elevator was a little slow. Breakfast was also very good. Bar was small but had what we wanted.

Nice hotel for the long weekend but please if you go there be aware of the lift as the door is not working smoothly. It like working as an old lift that need an urgently maintenance.

A really nice hotel, close to Bayswater tube and just a short walk from Royal Oak. The staff were friendly and very helpful during my 3-night stay. My room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was really nice, with a decent selection. Really good value. I will very happily book further stays at The Phoenix.

The room was not the cleanest the window curtains were pretty dirty and found some long hairs on bed and in the bathroom. Seems like the walls are very thin you can hear when people walk in the hallway and aloud bangs during the night

Stayed here many times, it's an excellent hotel. Special mention goes to the cleaning team, I've never once thought anything except "spotless". Even the small rooms have most of the amenities you need - and you have to love the UK for kettle + tea + coffee + biscuits :) Always nice when you come in from a very long day walking around London.

Stayed only 1 night in a basic room on the ground floor. The room reeked of smoke immediately. There was no central heating unit. The room included a tower fan but it was filled with dust and seemed to not been cleaned for a while. One of the bath towels was smeared with a brownish stain. The toilet paper holder was placed in the most awkward space; high above the shoulder when seated on the toilet. Couldn’t even have a proper shower since it was uncontrollably scalding hot. The best thing was that the wifi was fast. It’s possible that the rooms on the higher floors are better maintained but overall wouldn’t recommend even though it’s in a quiet neighbourhood and budget friendly.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Phoenix Hotel. It was clean, quiet, in an excellent location and breakfast was great. The shower was strong and hot. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room were also good. I was on my own and the room and bathroom were ample for me. Had I stayed with my partner, I would have found the room and bathroom a little cosy.

The only thing I didn’t like, was the room didn’t have A/C. It was very hot and stuffy. They do have standing fans in the room, and with the windows open, it cools off enough at night.

The standard single room was very small, if you want a bit more space I would not recommend the single rooms. The bed was comfortable and there is no air-con. A portable fan was provided in the room which was needed even in September. The window in the room was quite big but could not be opened. There was only 1 small drawer for storage but the room was so small there was nowhere for any storage. It was a nice hotel and the staff were helpful just don't book a single room, even for 1 person, you will need to spend some extra money here.

The hotel is in a great area. The staff is excellent. The rooms are very small without air conditioning. We were there during a heatwave and had to check out after 2 nights. It was very uncomfortable in the room. The bed wasn't comfortable, very hard. The bathroom is small with only a small shelf above the sink. There's no fridge. The price of the room is too much for what you get. We paid less for a much bigger room with a/c, fridge and more amenities in a good location. They should invest in some portable a/c units and a fridge.

Very convenient location a short walk to trains. The room was very small with no air conditioning and a small heater that did not ever go on. A desk fan was provided along with bath gel and shampoo. There was also a window that could be opened for fresh air. Staff was friendly.

We had a room with 4 twin beds on fourth floor and still had ample room to move around. Room was clean and the only thing that could have made it better was a mattress pad for the twin mattress as they were squeaky and firm. Breakfast was continental and not anything to rant about.

Nice room but so hot I had to keep the window opened all night !!! A ridiculous waste of energy when it’s fairly cold outside. The bathroom air ventilator is so excessively loud I was woken in the early hours of the morning by somebody upstairs … it was so loud the door was vibrating!

I've never seen a bathroom that small. I could sit on the toilet with both shoulders touching the walls beside me. I was in room 114, and the bathroom was smaller than the shower in other hotels. My shower was so small i could barely wash my legs and feet. I'm 6'5'' and the bathroom door is about 6'2''. Watch your head! The bed was smaller than a twin in the US. But the breakfast was edible and the deli meats made it better. The Phoenix is near the Bayswater tube station in a good area near Notting Hill. I got a good deal, so i can't complain too much, but that room was way too small. My friend stayed in a different room with a slightly bigger bathroom. I would consider staying there again, but never in room 114.

Great location for easy access to tube etc. Really clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fine if you like continental, good choice and nice fresh pastries etc. Very peculiar that you cannot get any normal terrestrial channels on tv. And the room is incredibly hot in summer and no air con. Acknowledge that there was a heat wave when we were there but because you can’t open the window wide, the heat was insane. Otherwise, lovely place to stay with very efficient and polite staff.

I had an unfortunate medical emergency while staying at the Phoenix Hotel. The staff was very quick to come to my aid which relaxed me. I felt like I was with family. They got me to the hospital where I am now recovering. The hotel is saving me a room where I can recover for the next few days before my flight back to America. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. This is my third stay there and every time has been outstanding.

The location of the property was the key success of my entire trip. The walking distance to Bayswater & Queensway tube was an extra bonus for me. The hotel itself is clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast is superb. I would definitely recommend the Phoenix Hotel.

I stay here regularly and aim to keep staying here whenever I can in London! It's perfect for a couple nights stay for work or travel. The staff are nice, the hotel is very well located, the breakfast is more than good enough for the price of the hotel. As I've stayed in a few rooms now I could say that some mattresses are better than others, but overall it's clean, tidy, warm, and very good value considering location and ... well ... London

The Phoenix Hotel is a very good hotel in the area near Notting Hill. Very close to transport and a nice walk to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Excellent breakfast options.

Really nice hotel close to the HydePark, so if you like morning runs, this location is perfect. A lot of dining options around. Close to two subway stations and to Paddington train station (where you can jump on the Elisabeth line that will take you to the airport). Staff really friendly and helpful (free deposit boxes at the reception). Room nice, warm and cozy. Small but you have everything you need in it. Good breakfast. I recommend this hotel for a short to medium length stay.

This Hotel was in a great location to the Tube and it was also very walkable through Kensington Park. The room was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. We had a daily cleaning service for our room. I would highly recommend The Phoenix Hotel for a stay in London.

Set in a pretty square, the Phoenix Hotel is in a great location, 3 minutes from the tube, walking distance to Kensington, and lively immediate area. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful; my single room was small but had everything you would want and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast provided everything you would hope to find and was extremely good value. I would definitely return to the Phoenix and would certainly recommend it.

The location of the property was the key success of my entire trip. The walking distance to Bayswater & Queensway tube was an extra bonus for me. The hotel itself is clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast is superb. I would definitely recommend the Phoenix Hotel.

This hotel is a gem. It’s in a great location a few mins walk from Bayswater and Queensway Tube station. Only 15 min walk to Paddington station too. It’s convenient for lots of sights either on foot or via a short Tube ride. My single room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. It was modern and had everything I needed, including shampoo, shower gel and soap! There was a tv as well as a kettle and tea and coffee stuff. The hairdryer was handy too. Although my room (215) was front facing as well as near the lift, I heard little noise. Lots of restaurants and bars within a five minute walk as well Westfield White City is not too far away on foot nor is Portobello Rd Market. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and intend to stay here again.

Great area to stay with convenient Tube locations. However, they always say the little things make your stay. I had two issues with the Phoenix. At breakfast, they would do better to have self serve coffee and tea. You have to wait for the staff to serve it and both days i ate breakfast i was almost finished eating before they came round. Also the bread rolls were not great. Secondly, the hair druer. It was a wall unit not mounted to the wall but in a drawer. So you had to plug in and deal with the wall fixture mount moving around while dryng your hair. And the dryer was one where you have to hold the power button pushed down while using. I know hotels love those types of dryers but they are not user friendly.Those two obstacles made it impossible to dry your hair properly. I packed very lightly and couldnot bring my own. So a better hair dryer would have nice.

Great location for easy access to tube etc. Really clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fine if you like continental, good choice and nice fresh pastries etc. Very peculiar that you cannot get any normal terrestrial channels on tv. And the room is incredibly hot in summer and no air con. Acknowledge that there was a heat wave when we were there but because you can’t open the window wide, the heat was insane. Otherwise, lovely place to stay with very efficient and polite staff.

The location was excellent. Easy two block walk to the Bayswater tube station on the circle line. Easy to hail a cab. Many great restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. The rooms were very clean though the beds were very hard. I asked about changing rooms to get a different bed and was given a mattress topper, which helped slightly. Breakfast was great. It's optional but worh it.

The hotel is located in Bayswater, close to many eating places and Underground stations, Hyde Park is on 5 min away, and Paddington station is also 10 min away. Overall room was small but ok clean, breakfast is also ok
