I like the proximity to the Albert hall. The hotel bar is small and bar menu is quite basic. Breakfast was excellent.

I would love to give this place 5 stars. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the decadent breakfast buffet well worth the $ and walk ability to everything! The staff were so friendly. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is they were doing construction from 8 am-5 pm and it sounded like they were running a jackhammer right above our room. Totally unacceptable given the price we paid and to have guest be woken up to that. Aside from the noise we loved this property and would likely stay here again when the construction is done. We do feel the hotel should have warned its guests of the noise so we could choose to stay elsewhere if desired.

Stunning hotel in South Kensington , located in a reasonable walking distance to all attractions! You are around the corner from the museums and the Albert Hall. We had a room on the top floor. No noise and the room was a decent size with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom had extra toiletries like vanity set, shoe polisher as well as the usual shower gels etc. Nespresso machine for tea / coffee and there is a minibar albeit we didn’t use that facility . The only negative is there was no info pack in the room with prices / local attractions/ room service etc

Great location close to tube stations and bus stops. So close to many attractions in Kensington. Various food options within walking distance. Friendly staff. The room always stayed hot though despite modifying the thermostat. The pillows weren’t very comfortable. But these two things are the only complaints I can make the room was clean and the bathroom bigger than others I’ve experienced staying in London. The elevator is also a big plus you don’t always find in the area.

Stayed one night as at an event at the Royal Albert Hall; perfect location near to Albert Hall. Hotel was perfect for our needs, all staff were very helpful and service to a high standard. Only minor issue, one member of staff on the bar on a Friday night with a major event at the Albert Hall; service was very slow and a number of guests gave up waiting for a drink.

Very convenient for us as we went to see a show at Royal Albert Hall. Very nice area. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and polite. The down side was car parking. We would normally of trained to the are area but my partner had not long had a knee joint replacement so we drove down, obviously I had to park some distance away from the hotel, although I was able to drop my partner off at the hotel. The car park I used was safe but 10 to 15 minutes walk away and it cost £50 to park overnight. I realise it’s London but would help to have some sort of deal with use to a car park. We got the room at a really good price so I’m grateful for that. We both enjoyed our stay and would stay there again as well as recommend to anyone. Really nice staff.

We loved it at the Queens Gate! We were a bit off put by the difference between room reality vs the picture representation, but if you read the room type .. you get what you pay for, word for word. (Temper your expectations for the actual room though. We were in a room with a view of another building and a stain on the wall.. felt a bit outdated to be honest, but it was clean and our affordable home base for 6 nights. Have I slept in more comfortable beds? Yes. Am I glad I had my own small pillow? Also yes. Breakfast was bloody delicious! Gym was going through a Reno when we were there so no access, but we walked a lot in London and likely would not have lifted in it much anyway. Doormen and the ladies at breakfast were our favourite! We sometimes debriefed our day.. we got a great restaurant recommendation (Da Mario’s) and we were able to thank the lovely lad who directed us there. Wonderful friendly staff!

The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet and clean area of the city. It's an easy spot to grab a taxi and only a 5 minute walk to grab a red bus or the tube. Our only issue, was that it was unseasonably warm the first couple days and the air conditioning was not yet turned on in the building. Otherwise, all was great!

Cleanliness is not the best. Some old dirty stockings left from previous guests found in the bottom of the wardrobe. Bathroom is dated with damaged fixtures. Hair everywhere. The area around the toilet showed urine stains on the floor and can be smelt. On a positive note, the staff are friendly. The hotel offers great location and comfortable beds.

Our room was very worn looking. Peeling wallpaper, chipped laminate flooring, beds creak when you sit down or roll over in the night. We had mildew in the shower, dirty doorframes, etc. The location was good but the room was not.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The hotel is beautiful, recently renovated, extremely clean and the rooms were a great size. I stayed in a triple deluxe and it was perfect for 3 friends to stay. The hotel is beautiful and charming and in the most amazing location, just south of Kensington gardens. Extremely walkable to explore local sites and main tourist sites.

The lights are a bit weird here, they use a high tech panel and ambient lighting. We had Room 314 which was quiet, window faced west and was an inner court yard, we did not face Queen's Gate road which can be busy and noisy.

Check-in - July 9, room was extremely cold 17C and we shut the air conditioning off. There was no heat to warm up the room. Draft was coming from top of window (see curtains blowing. It was late, didnt bother to report to front desk. Plugged in cpap machine and electricity went off, took 30 minutes to reset the electrical. Following night room was once again extremely cold 17C, front desk provided an oil radiator heater which didnt do much. They kept telling us the draft was from air circulation but there was no fan on. Could feel draft near window. Asked for another heater and provided a much better one. Overall very disappointing especially when they were adamant there was no draft. Will not return.

We had a very good 3 night stay in the Queen's Gate. The room was spacious, bright, with a high ceiling, and everything seemed perfectly new. Comfortable! Friendly staff. I did feel the hotels designer missed the mark with the design of the basement-level breakfast room, which has no windows, and is done all in gray and off-white, and everything rectangular. ...with huge 'RAINY London' murals on the short walls - all bleak choices for a windowless room in a basement! The breakfast itself was mediocre, but OK, and there WERE plenty of choices. But despite that only 'ok' breakfast situation, I'd absolutely stay at Queen's Gate again, and recommend it to others.

Excellent, would stay again. Impeccably behaved and courteous staff. Large room with queen bed - in South Ken! Room could have been swept better, and you need a PhD in European showerology to work the knobs in the shower. Also there is a “secret” button to turn on the aircon. Sneaky. Breakfast was expensive but excellent.

Staff were very friendly and efficient . I had a small double room and it was very tight with 2 large suitcases and cabin bags .Shower was incredibly small,literally a broom cupboard and difficult to move without knocking the mixer tap. Location was excellent for where I wanted to be located in London. I would stay again but would book a bigger room type.

It was a beautiful hotel and the room was amazing. The staff were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. One tiny issue was the noise from rooms above late at night and early in the morning. It was very loud and did affect the quality of sleep. We were in room 402. The food at breakfast was brilliant. We will definitely be back.

This hotel is in a great location, walk to restaurants, pubs, convenience stores, museums, tube stations, the Royal Albert Hall and much more. The staff are the best all very friendly and helpful. Leila and Jerry outstanding! It’s a cute, clean, boutique hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We were greeted by May - a super-helpful receptionist who told us we had been upgraded. The room was huge & nicely furnished, with a gorgeous bathroom. The room was nicely decorated and all parts, including the bathroom were spotlessly clean. A room in which we could relax & make a temporary home. We were there for two concerts at the RAH, which is an easy walk from the hotel. Every member of staff was really pleasant & helpful.

Wonderful hotel in a great location, close to lots of dining, shopping and museums. Amazing staff; we were always greeted by a friendly smile and excellent service. The rooms are nicely appointed with luxury amenities. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be in the center of the city but still have a beautiful quiet neighborhood around you.

When I checked in they gave me the worse room ever next to the AC machines on the roof till I complained and they changed it the next day The Arab suddenly stopped working and they couldn’t find out the issue Also the sign was don’t disturb yet the cleaner kept knocking then entered the room Also the cleaner took my room card and didn’t return it till I reported it I asked for late check out and they refused even I was willing to the pay the fees Jerry and Stephanie were nice and friendly and that start was for them

The Queen's Gate Hotel is located in a convenient location. There are several metro stops that will get you to other areas of London in 20-30 minutes. The area around the hotel is safe and quiet. Located in South Kensington you can walk to Kensington Gardens, Harrods, and Notting Hill. As well, there are several museums close by which is great! I would recommend to stay at this hotel as it is clean, rooms are spacious and overall, location is a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of London.

Lovely property, great location. Fish and chips at the bistro was great, buffet breakfast was good. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were small, but normal size for a big city old building. They were extremely well furnished and appointed.

We had a very good 3 night stay in the Queen's Gate. The room was spacious, bright, with a high ceiling, and everything seemed perfectly new. Comfortable! Friendly staff. I did feel the hotels designer missed the mark with the design of the basement-level breakfast room, which has no windows, and is done all in gray and off-white, and everything rectangular. ...with huge 'RAINY London' murals on the short walls - all bleak choices for a windowless room in a basement! The breakfast itself was mediocre, but OK, and there WERE plenty of choices. But despite that only 'ok' breakfast situation, I'd absolutely stay at Queen's Gate again, and recommend it to others.

It was a beautiful hotel and the room was amazing. The staff were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. One tiny issue was the noise from rooms above late at night and early in the morning. It was very loud and did affect the quality of sleep. We were in room 402. The food at breakfast was brilliant. We will definitely be back.
