Linton Lodge a BW Signature Collection Hotel

Good location approx 20 mins walk from central Oxford. Limited parking on first come first served basis, cost of which is high but that's Oxford for you...if travelling by car suggest you consider Park & Ride. Room was very hot (it was a hot day / evening) but fan helped. Breakfast quantity and quality was good.

What did I like has already been covered. That I didn't like was the inadequate parking. We were lucky to find a parking spot on the property forecourt. This was only because we arrived early. Had we not then we would have had a major problem. For this reason I wouldn't recommend this location as suitable for someone wishing to visit Oxford.

Check-in was straightforward. Lift was broken for the duration of our stay, and we were on the second floor, so it was a bit of a pain herding 2 children and all our stuff up the stairs. There was an ongoing high pitched alarm-type noise, which made it difficult to sleep. We reported to reception, but they said it was coming from the roof space and there was nothing they could do. Car park was full when we arrived, but street parking right outside the hotel is free from 6pm to 11am (the hotel charges £10 a night for parking on site). Room was clean, and we appreciated the fan that was supplied. Breakfast was good, and very much enjoyed by all. Central Oxford is about a 25 minute walk from the hotel, and buses are frequent, so it was a convenient place for us to stay.

The property has a very small parking lot and they oversold the amount of spots for the number of guests with cars on our second night. We had to park on the street. They did refund the parking, but were not very helpful with respect to overselling the parking.

It was great. The breakfast was good and the hotel was clean. There wasn't AC in our room and the heat was fully on; so it was toasting warm. installing AC will be handy. It would be great to clearly state on your advert that parking is charged separately from the booking. I thought parking was free and that was the reason I booked to this hotel but we found out its charged separately when you get to the hotel.

Very nice and clean. Good location. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was that there was not enough parking on site and we had to park on the street in front of the hotel.

Decent hotel near to centre of Oxford. Smooth check-in, helpful staff. Executive room was not huge but in good condition and clean. It was a very hot day when we stayed so the room was hard to cool down, although a fan was provided, which helped. Breakfast options were very good. There is limited on site parking but street parking is available in surrounding streets at certain times.

Great hotel for easy access ( including walking ) into Oxford . Unusually it is with a residential area surrounded by houses , so is peaceful and quiet . The parking arrangements are a little odd in that you park at the front of the hotel , a dozen spaces here or round the back in another car park , another dozen spaces , but for this privilege you are charged £10 a day . This is because the parking is monitored by an outside company ( possibly to prevent rogue parking 🤔) . Our room (9) was directly off the reception area , therefore very convenient for access to restaurant / bar area , but a little noisy at times with loud guests at the reception desk . The room itself was spacious ( actually a room for disable guests, but we aren’t) . The shower room was huge and the water pressure from the shower was a little painful , as it is so powerful. The room gets completely soaking wet , so you need to put a towel by the door to prevent walking around the room with wet feet . The bed was a little small too , just a standard double 4’6” , but was comfortable enough . There was evidence of damp on one wall near the bed and some damage to the wall opposite the bed . That said it didn’t worry us too much as we kept the windows open as it was so warm . There are a couple of rooms with AC , but most are without . The breakfast in the morning was excellent , as was our evening meal, just be careful near a double window as the floor is sinking ( probably rotten timber) under the vinyl.

Very good property even though a merge of 3 residential houses. Very peaceful, easy and cheap parking walking distance to university-land and shops. Breakfast excellent choice. Some maintenance points let it down. Lift unreliable, shower bar lose and basin plug missing. Shame as we had a really lovely stay.

A nice hotel, about 25 min walk (or bus ride) from the city centre. Rooms were comfortable, the double bed was quite small but fine for one person. Breakfast was good value with a range of hot and cold options. Parking was available (for an extra fee) but it was a good base for a weekend away.

Hotel room was disgusting. Old shag rug, water stains all over walls and ceiling, spider webs hanging from ceiling. Musty smelling and just gross

Located in a beautiful neighborhood with a pretty garden, but that’s where the positives end. The rooms are tiny and unclean (cobwebs, black mold in the shower). The beds were uneven, so we felt like we were falling out all night, and the bathroom was too small to turn around in. Our card keys stopped working each and every day (not kept with a phone, etc, and two independent card keys) and staff were challenging to get support from. Booking a multi-night stay here was regrettable.

Our stay was just “ ok’ We got into the room and the cleaner had left some of their cleaning spray an cloths on the side When we pulled back the bed sheets there were strands of hair in the bed, I’m assuming from the cleaner. The walls were fairly thin so you could hear the couple arguing next door!! Staff were friendly. Just a shame about the hair in the bed. Really nice and affluent neighbourhood. Loved Oxford.

The room was clean and well-presented. The bed was too firm for our liking but otherwise everything was great.

The room was clean enough but the mouldy ceiling in the bathroom (see photo) was rather off-putting.

We had a fantastic stay in Oxford due mainly to the great hospitality we received at the Linton Lodge Hotel. The staff were amazing especially Josh on the front desk, our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay again and can recommend it to anyone.

Very average hotel but perfectly acceptable. Staff were polite and friendly. Buffet breakfast was good, nice choice of food. Room was clean but bathroom was very small, generally very clean but some mould around the bath.

Overall the room was pretty horrible. Lights didn’t work. No plugs beside the bed. Bath didn’t drain. Mould on the ceilings. Window didn’t close. Very expensive for the quality.

Hotel was a nice chain hotel. Ok location, but unless you like walking or its raining (was raining with us) then its a £7 taxi into central oxford. But we knew the location before booking, so fine with us Our issue was the room 9 (the assessable room, which didn't realise we had booked) was literally next to the reception desk (4 ft away, literally!), so you get to hear every conversation! We had the worst night sleep ever. we were woken up at 12.30, 1 am, 1.30am & 2am by quests coming is and chatting to reception staff (asking for room keys ect), then 5am ish (guessing by staff). all in all we had approx. 3 ish hours sleep. The reception staff even asked us if the room was noisy on check out, so they're well aware that's its noisy. This room should only be offered to guests with assessable needs (who need it) if they don't then reception staff should suggest they move to a quieter room & if guests are staying in the hotel room, then staff should try and speak quieter (if that's possible) . personally I would AVOID room 9!!! if you need an assessable room, then I'd AVOID this hotel as room 9 is too noisy!

The hotel is great, location spot on, garden's relaxing, breakfast fulfilling, staff friendly, just don't stay in room 122 it's possibly the smallest room I have ever stayed in. There isn't even enough room to put a light either side of the bed.

It’s a nice enough clean enough hotel. About 1.3 mile from the very centre. Only around £10 (one way) taxi ride. Or 25-30 minutes walk . Our room was on the ground floor probably near to something like a huge air vent from the kitchens. There was constant humming which was less audible when windows were shut. Luckily it wasn’t a warm night. I can envisage it being a huge nuisance on a warm night if you kept the windows open. If you’re booking ask for higher floors. Otherwise all good.

Lovely building in a nice peaceful area ,The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a larger room, with two queen sized beds and plenty of room to walk around.

Very clean room and comfortable bed. However, there was no way to connect to the WiFi from my room. There was no menu (or QR code for it) in the room. Coffees were not always replaced when the room was serviced. Very poor service overall.

Breakfast had an excellent variety. I ended up paying there. It was cheaper that way paying in advance the hotel offers a discount for Breakfast. The Room was definitely too hot, extremely hot. No a/c or fans. That was very uncomfortable. With a hotter summer, I will suggest the hotel will need to offer options.

Some of the staff lacked friendliness and enthusiasm and at breakfast, constantly on his phone. Otherwise great location for our event.

A very good hotel. Everything was pristine. The Reception Staff were helpful and friendly. Ideally located for University Parks parkrun.

Easy 20-30 mins walk into Oxford city. Parking fees covers from 3pm to 11am the next morning. Staff who helped us to check in was kind of rude. He was speaking too fast and when we asked for clarifications, his tone changed, as though we couldn’t understand English. We are from a first world English speaking country, just not UK.

Lovely location, about 20 minutes walk from the centre which we enjoyed doing. Really nice little hotel/lodge, the only downside was the room service ordering, we ordered two drinks to come to our room which were not complicated drinks and they took 45 minutes, and during this time my partner had to go and remind them to make them twice, and he ended up bringing them back to the room even though I had to pay £2.50 for delivery to the room.

Lovely property, feels modern on the inside and very classy on the outside. It’s a bit out of town with very limited parking options. While staff were not rude in any way, they didn’t seem interested in helping out with recommendations for what to do and when we had a bit of car trouble they weren’t even able to help with looking up a local mechanic.

The hotel is an easy mile or so walk into the heart of Oxford, and the walk is lovely. They offer vegan sausages on request at breakfast, which is great. The reading lights next to the bed didn’t work, and reception seemed a bit confused; said he would come help and didn’t. Not a huge deal, but it happened.

Josh on reception was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable. The breakfast choices were excellent, all staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Location ideal, easy to catch a bus into Oxford, parking at location was good too.

The person at the desk (Josh) at checkin was really unhelpful. His attitude was one of disdain. He never improved over the 4 days we were there. The picture on Hotels.com doesn’t reflect what the hotel looked like at all. It was not near anything.

Not as close to Oxford as advertised. No free parking as advertised.

Clean and tidy hotel with good breakfast. Convenient for Oxford city, 15 min walk or 5min bus journey.

Transportation is a quick 7 min walk or you can get a taxi. Great area quiet and safe. Definitely would come back!

Clean but tired. Room was comfortable and clean but somewhat needing modernisation. Toilet lid not staying, taps not turning off unless tightened firmly, shower head dropping. Breakfast disappointing and substandard.

This place needs some tlc. Carpets in my room with black large, Velox carpet needs replacing. Showerhead holder kept falling out. I heard another person staying at this hotel saying the same thing. Buffet breakfast, fried eggs, overcooked mushrooms, out of a tin, just generally substandard.

Hotel was a fine tourist hotel, although room was small and no air-conditioning. Breakfast was really busy but acceptable.
