Stayed 3 nights

It was a cute two bedroom duplex. The outside storm door in the back needs fixed. It doesn't close properly.

Pros: The location was convenient for accessing KU. The dishes and pans there were a nice bonus. Cons:First, I did not receive the access code for the property at 11 like I was told I would. This added anxiety to the trip worrying if I would be able to get in when I arrived. First impression was terrible. The rental was humid and smelled horrendously musty. It took my breath away when I walked in. The place was tidy and clean but the stench almost made me want to check into a hotel instead. As the days went on and the air conditioner ran the smell alleviated some but it remained throughout the stay soaking into my clothing. I have been exposed to mold in the past creating breathing issues and this rental did cause flare ups for me.The bathroom walls were saturated and dripping after the shower which could be contributing to potential mold and the musty smell. The walls are incredibly thin and you can hear the neighbors even walking through the duplex next door. Something to think about if you have kids or want a quite get away. Overall 2/5 due to the smell and potential mold causing me issues with my breathing while staying here. I have brought up these issues and was advised they would look into them and work on them, I truly hope they do as the location is convenient.

Rented property for family after hospital stay. Clean, close to hospital, host addressed needs untimely manner. Would stay there again if had to stay in KC area.

Stayed 1 night

We were moving across country from SC to CO with pets, the largest U-Haul truck available towing an enclosed trailer, and our jeep towing a utility trailer. The pictures of the parking area appear to show that you can enter from the back. We assumed that’s where the alleyway was. However, we were sorely mistaken. The duplex is located on a one way street that has cars parked on both sides all the way down it. There was no street parking available. The alleyway is between the duplex and the building next door. It also had cars parked down one side of it. Even if we could have fit down it with the U-Haul and trailers, there would have been no way to turn around and get back out. There is no other exit. We had to unload everything and go drop the truck and trailers off in a target parking lot 10 minutes away; and hope that no one messed with them overnight. There is construction going on across the street. There is a hospital right up the road. There was traffic all night long. We were awoken multiple times by helicopters, loud cars, and construction workers that sounded like they were inside the room with you. The owners are clearly aware of these things since they provided a jar of ear plugs in each room. The bed in one room was fine but did slide across the floor with the slightest touch. The bed in the other room was on three box springs. We didn’t need anything fancy. Just a place to eat dinner, shower, and sleep after the second day of driving 8-9 hours.
