Overall ok - the street traffic and parking ramp area during check in is a nightmare. The area was chaotic and traffic was at a near stand still. After we got into the ramp, the elevators were jam packed as well. Room is fine, rooftop pool area is closed which is a bummer since it’s in the 80s this weekend.

We were here for a volleyball tournament, so the hotel was pretty full. At least one of the elevators was non-operable, so there was a constant wait for the elevators of 5-15 minutes. It really made it a pain to go anywhere.

The room was nice and clean. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The staff was friendly. The self parking is great. However, it's difficult to park by the hotel to check in. There is not much space out front for cars. They have shuttles as well which makes it harder. You can't use the parking garage until after checking in. It can get backed up in front of the hotel on busy days. Over all... loved the stay. Super great location. Would definitely recommend.

Started a little rocky with giving me the wrong room key but then smooth sailing. Hotel's a little outdated and some of the fixtures could definitely be replaced but the views were AMAZING! We were on the 26th floor and we could see across the city. The rooftop pool was really cool too! A great place to stay!

Pros: Great property and staff! Lobby has nice store and restaurant/bar. Parking was inexpensive and felt safe- elevators directly to floors which was convenient. Friendly staff. Cons: Shuttle did not run once while we were there. We asked and they said the drivers were off (all 3 days). Need to update the website as that was a major inconvenience. Rooms were clean and comfortable- would definitely stay here again!

Cleaning staff was very friendly every time I encountered them. Loved my suite and the bed was comfortable. During a hot August stay the AC worked well in such a big room. My only complaint would be the shower. The building clearly shows its age with the old shower, which has a semi-disgusting rusty moldy ventilation shaft that hovers by your head while you shower in a dimly lit tub. Other than that everything else was A+.

Broken ice maker on floor 7 & 8 was an inconvenience. Room was mostly clean but we noticed there were hairs in the shower and floor and toothpaste on the ceiling. We sat at the restaurant for a while waiting for service and were never approached so we left, they seemed understaffed.

Upon arrival, the front desk was friendly and professional. Hotel lobby looked clean and modern. There’s a charge for parking $50! The garage was dirty where the elevator is leading up to the room. Room was large with coffee machine and small refrigerator plus all the perks. So many restaurants within walking distance and if attending a concert. Now to the issues. Blanket had a stain on it, and there was a cockroach in the sink. When I went to get ice, the ice had mold or black stuff on it. Beds are hard for me. For my husband he loved it.

Great location in the Power and Light district a lot to do in the area. I paid for a suite and actually got a suite, so many hotels sell rooms as suites when they just take a normal room and put an island in it so bonus points for that. The room wasn't 'dirty' but definitely needs a deep clean. There was a buildup of dust, very noticable around the edge of the carpet and window sill but you do not have to look hard to notice it everywhere. Definitely needs more than running the vacuum and wiping down the counter tops. Parking wasn't too bad just checking in and out was a bit of a chore. The driveway is way to small and you need to get a keycard to get into the parking garage. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Our room had expired food in the fridge, trash under the bed and chairs, used towels on the back of the bathroom door, light on wall would flicker on and off whether the switch was flipped or not(sleeping was not fun), and the gross of the gross, someone’s ripped underwear under the sink. When we tried to talk to someone at the hotel they said we had to talk Expedia, when we connacted Expedia they said the hotel should have given us a refund from their end. We had three rooms, this one was GROSS the other two were normal. We don’t normally complain, these issues seemed to stack. We were extremely frustrated that neither the hotel nor Expedia were able make it right for us.

Very friendly and fast check-in, super comfortable bedding and beds. The room was very clean and the furnishings were nice. We were within walking distance of several dining options. My only complaint was the tv only had a handful of channels and the guide didn’t work, we usually don’t spend enough time in a room to care about that though!

I was super early to check in and was hoping to at least be able to put my car in the hotel's covered parking. But they already had a room available, so I was able to park my car AND drop my bags off at 10:00am! They were so accommodating and every member of the staff had a smile for me. Highly recommend. We were in town for my daughter’s dance recital at the nearby Kansas City Music Hall, and the location could not have been more perfect literally steps away! But what truly elevated our stay was the exceptional service and the unmatched warmth of the front desk staff. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and gracious hospitality. We were met by Fanny, an absolute gem of a front desk professional, who deserves a standing ovation of her own. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Not only did she make us feel completely at home, but she also went above and beyond to answer every question with care from parking suggestions to nearby dining to helping us coordinate a late checkout so my daughter could change after her performance. Fanny’s professionalism and warmth were a shining example of top-tier customer service. She was our calm in the whirlwind of recital day, and I cannot thank her enough for her thoughtfulness. If you’re visiting downtown Kansas City especially for an event at the Music Hall Crowne Plaza is the ONLY place to stay. The Crowne Plaza apparently takes zero interest in maintaining the privacy of their guests. Housekeeping walked right into our room unannounced at 7:45 am. The property has zero interest in making amends. I would not stay in this hotel! Isolated incident you say…nope! We had a large group with five separate rooms on different floors. Each had the same experience.

Stephanie the front desk manager would not allow my young kids and I to check into our room she stated was available without paying extra! We were arriving from a long train ride and were only 45 minutes early for checkin. We were made to sit and just wait in the lobby. Shuttle service was confusing and not readily available. Staff provided little information in how to get around or what attractions were nearby.

We stayed here for the Super Bowl parade. We checked in around lunchtime and had to pay extra for parking. When we came back later that evening, the parking was full. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful throughout our stay. They knew that it would be busy and crowded and seemed completely unprepared. Never again.

The hotel staff try their very best- but are not very hospitable. I called before my stay and asked for two adjoining rooms, or at the very least right next to each other. They said okay we can do that. Long story short when I got there my rooms were not joined or right next to each other they were close but it's in the details.

The stay was fine until I started loading the car. I told the housekeeper that I was not leaving yet. When I got back to my room the bed was stripped, my towels were gone and someone helped themselves to my snacks. The desk clerk did not sound surprised when I described the issue. This stay went from fine to terrible because the hotel's staff got hungry. Hopefully all that they take are snacks!

Checkin was not a good experience. Waited in line 3 separate times being told I would be notified when my room was available and never getting notified, I would then wait in line again to be told the same thing. Waited an hour past my checkin time to finally get a room. Room and rest of the experience was fine.

I've stayed here twice for work. Great location, walkable, nice views when stayed on 18th floor. The rooms, bathroom in particular is a lil run down and I'm not a fan of how close the bathroom door is to the toilet seat. I wish the bathrooms had fans so it doesn't get so steamy in there when showering. Deposit for incidentals is great, $50 which can't be beat. Parking is $25 as a guest. The food in the restaurant sucks though. I've ordered the top sirloin and it was dry and unflavored. The burger was super salty. The latte, meh.

Nickel dime you to death. $30 to park daily breakfast $20 poor quality. People above our room stomping around all hours. Out side crazy loud noises?!. I’m on the 19th floor . The pool had a big brown spot, possibly algae, which made it look dirty. My teenagers did not want to use it once seeing this. The pool was one of the main amenities that interested me to book this hotel for our stay.
