Don Giovanni Hotel Prague - Great Hotels of The World

Great place for our family to stay. We recommend upgrading for access to the executive level. It was a perfect spot for us to gather and decompress after our day of touring. The hotel is lovely, the staff friendly and being right next to the Metro was perfect for us to get in and oit of city center easily. Also check out the spa:)

Some aspects of a luxury hotel, but the bed was 2* standard and I am sorry, but that pulls the rating down. Positive - superb breakfast and also the hotel fitness room was being repaired and there was a deal with a nearby gym. Which I think would be what hotels should be aiming at anyway

Beautiful hotel with a grand entrance . Spotless throughout. Friendly and very helpful reception staff . Executive lounge and roof top area exceptional . Nice selection of food and beverages . Breakfast selection was excellent .Metro directly behind hotel very convenient . No noise , soundproofing was fantastic.

Great place to stay. The bar is good, lobby has a pool table. The sauna is perfect for the evening relaxation.

Lækkert hotel . Tæt på metroen. Stor flot morgenmads buffet. Super venlig personale. Eneste minus er elevatoren skulle man vente længe på. Og vi havde klapvogn med så trapperne ikke en mulighed når man bor på 10 etage

Sehr freundliche Personal. Saubere Zimmer, alles was man benötigt ist da. Es gibt zwar nicht so große, aber schöne Sauna. Gute Frühstück und Abendessen mit viel Auswahl. Abends an der Bar spielt Livemusik.

Fantastic hotel with all amenities: the kind of breakfast that you linger over, wonderful service, clean, comfy and right next to metro stop and bus lines. The sauna is superb. I would stay here again.

Perfekt med tunnelbanan direkt utanför dörren. Trevlig personal och bra buffé. Lyckades inte lösa tidig incheckning. Fanns för få hissar. Lååång väntetid på hiss.

Fantastic hotel that we would highly recommend. Staff on reception so helpful with tourist information, taxi bookings etc. Speedy check in/out service. Room was perfect for us, spotless, well turned out and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable and dressing robes and slippers provided. Hardly any noise at all, so had a great sleep. Cocktails at the bar were delicious and the lady in the gift shop is super helpful and friendly. Metro and tram stop a 2 minute walk away outside, perfect for travelling into the old town/ tourist attractions. We will definitely return in the future, thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent service and nice clean room

Net en schoon hotel met vriendelijk en meedenkend personeel. Het ontbijt is erg lekker en heeft een ruime keuze en ook voor het diner heb je hier verschillende mogelijkheden. De kamers zijn schoon en elke dag krjg je nieuwe handdoeken en een flesje water op je kamer. De bedden liggen ook erg goed! Dit hotel is net iets buiten de stad, maar met de metro die erg dichtblij is, ben je er in een kwartiertje. Bij mijn volgende bezoek aan praag zal ik zeker hier weer een kamer gaan boeken.

Everything was clean and well cared for. Food was excellent

Abendessen Buffet sehr schlecht, geringe Auswahl und sehr teuer Getränke nicht inbegriffen nichteinmal Wasser. Frühstück insgesamt mittelmäßig trockene Brötchen und jeden Tag das gleiche. Im Zimmer defekter Lichtschalter und etwas dreckig z.b. fremde Haare in der Dusche. Unterkunft insgesamt schon in die Jahre gekommen und provisorische Reperaturmaßnahmen säumen den Blick wo auch immer man hin schaut.

Das Hotel ist, insbesondere mit der U-Bahn, gut erreichbar und relativ zentral. Das Zimmer ist sauber und geräumig. P.S: Lediglich der Fernseher könnte größer sein.

War ein schönes Hotel mit einem sehr guten Frühstück. Die U Bahn ist zu Fuß erreichbar.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.Mir werden wieder kommen

This hotel has been one of my favourites to stay in. Have told everyone about it and recommended it to anyone going to Prague. From the location right next door to the Metro station, to the beautiful hotel itself it does not disappoint. The reception staff are amazing, especially a lady with brown hair - I didn’t catch her name but she will remember us as my husband wore shorts the whole trip! She was so friendly, helpful and polite and really helped to make our stay. Thank you! The surprise little gifts on welcome and on leaving were a beautiful touch, as were the bottles of free water. The breakfast was amazing. If you couldn’t find something to eat here there is a serious problem. There really is everything catered for. Hot food, cereal, fruit, pastries, cakes, gluten free. All tasted amazing as well. We loved the piano playing in the main entrance and sat and had a drink in the bar/cafe area when we first arrived as we were early. And loved hearing it piped around the hotel too. The hotel was spotless, very clean, and the beds were so comfy. Got some of the best sleep in years here. My only wish is you had more of these around the world as I would stay with you every time! Thanks for an amazing stay.

Air conditioning is not working properly . Very horrible sleep

Room was supposed to have king size bed but had two single beds that were moving in the night leaving a gap .Room was supposed to have city view but had cemetery view instead.Room was suppose to be sound proof but can hear everything from next room

Schöne Lobby, schöner Frühstücksbereich, sehr gutes Frühstück, gute Anbindung an U-Bahn, Zimmer etwas altmodisch eingerichtet und auch schon etwas abgewohnt.

The room itself (standard twin room) was great - the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and the bathroom and amenities are excellent as well. My only gripe with the shower is that the screen is completely inadequate, and the floor would often get soaked with water as it only extends maybe a third of the way across the bathtub - there was also a gap below the screen so water that did get stopped would dribble down and then pool on the floor. Housekeeping were not only excellent at cleaning the room, but were also very friendly when passing them in the corridor. The minibar fridge was fine, but some room to put personal items would have been a bonus (although I understand why this would not be offered). Perhaps the biggest benefit of this hotel besides the standard offerings is its proximity to Želivského Metro station, the Želivského tram stops and the Želivského bus stops. Having all of these transport options quite literally on the doorstep (and having a direct line to stations like Muzeum and Mustek for links to other Metro lines) is really a great benefit of this hotel. Breakfast was fine - a great selection of things to eat, although some of the cooked items were a bit too greasy. My biggest issue were the elevators - priority is given to executive floors, so at breakfast, you could be waiting for upwards of 10 minutes for a lift to reach your floor (despite them sitting on floor 0, not moving). Very annoying and inconvenient. Overall, a fine hotel, great location.

The hotel was fantastic. Rooms were great. Air con worked well enough, breakfast was plentiful. Did not try the bar or restaurant but looked fine. Metro and tram from just outside is super convenient. Lidl directly opposite. If you don't mind a small ride to the centre (very cheap), then this place is perfect.

Amazing service and room quality, and very tasty food. The shower however lacked proper screening.

Stayed here for 4 nights. 1 minute walk from the Zelivskeho metro station, tram and bus stops. Quick check in with plenty of staff on reception at all times. All staff i came across were very friendly and helpful. Cant fault the cleanliness of the hotel, one of the cleanest i have stayed in. Room was spacious. Room was very warm even though it was October, A/C only seemed to blow out same temperature of air no matter how cold i set the temperature. Shower head did not stay up and the water was very slow to drain in the shower basin. I had access to the executive lounge which was a nice area. Choices of food were croissants filled with ham, cheese, salmon, sandwiches, cakes, 1 type of lager, red and white wine and water. Although a decent choice, would have liked to have seen another selection of beer and the food was the same choice all day every day. Would be nice to have a different choice of food particularly early evening as all food was best served to have at lunch time. I would definately stay here again.

The room equipment is outdated, old furniture, television is very outdated. The heating in the room is possible only through the noisy AC.

This hotel was a complete disappointment when it came to customer service. I was placed in a room below the category I had booked, with the excuse that my reserved room type was “not available.” They even said I would have to pay extra to be moved to a better room. Only after I strongly complained and threatened to cancel my reservation did they agree to move me. But even then, the new room had no air conditioning and a broken safe. Unacceptable service and total disregard for the guest. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Don Giovanni is ideally located. It has easy access to both the trams, buses and Metro system. Both the breakfast and dinner buffet is outstanding The lobby and downstairs bar is lovely. The staff are helpful and polite. I found the breakfast buffet staff to be particularly cordial and welcoming. But the front desk and cleaning staff was excellent too. There is nearby shopping at Flora Mall. Numerous dining options are close. There is easy access to any part of the city.

Client service was excellent and the fodd in the hotel was delicious. The front desk people were always eager to help the guests.

From checking in till checking out everything was perfect and fast

Dårlig behandling Får et værelse der lugter af bræk, får et andet værelse og det tog 1 time og 45 minutter før vi fik værelset og her mangler der at blive redt op til et barn, det tog yderligere en halv time! Dagen efter kommer jeg hjem med børnene om eftermiddagen og der virker mit keycard til værelset. Vi tager ud og spiser og da vi kommer tilbage virker keycardet gudhjælpemig ikke! Får nyt kort og kommer op til værelset også duer det nye kort ikke. Receptionisten kommer med op og endelig virker kortet, det var så også den eneste gang der var service fra dette hotel. Kan overhovedet ikke anbefale dette hotel!!!!

Dichtbij Metro maar centrum is plus Ontbij is gigantisch, dat is plus Parkeren in garage, plus Maar..... een dikke min voor de gehorigheid. Dunne wanden. En nog erger, De lifren hoor je op en neer gaan in. Rijwel alle kamers in de buurt van de trappenhuizen. Minpuntje Groor minpunt, onvriendlijke dame aan de receptie die je aankijkt alsof je een debiel bent als je wat zegt over het geluid in de kamer van de liften..... en ze zegt, je hebt toch oordopjes?

Long wait at check-in, real mass tourism experience. Lady at the desk was doing multiple things at once and hurried the process. Room was cheaply furnished and smelled poorly. I would recommend finding a better hotel for better pricing. There are a lot better options available in better and more central areas of Prague.

Man muss schon bisschen laufen um in die Stadt zu kommen aber mit der U Bahn alles kein Problem Station gleich in der Nähe vom Hotel Das Hotel ist top,sauber,freundlich.

Tolle Hotel für einen Städtetrip/Kurzurlaub. Das Essen war klasse und die Zimmer vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Anbindung zur Straßenbahn, Bus und U-Bahn optimal. Das Hotel kann man bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Trevligt hotell som låg precis vid tunnelbanestationen. Lätt att åka överallt man ville. Jättebra frukost.

Wonderful! Executive King room really nice and spacious. Breakfast was deluxe and the Executive Lounge a really nice place to relax in the evening. Hotel staff was terrific! Ivan at the desk was top notch for customer service. Super easy to access the "A" line for the Metro which had us downtown to all of the major attractions in 10 minutes. Also, trams and buses were easy to access.

Fantastic hotel to explore Prague. Directly next to the metro means the centre of Prague is just 10 mins away. Room was spacious and cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and presented perfectly. We ate at both restaurants, the buffet and the ground floor restaurant- both were excellent. Great bar/lobby area which offers live music throughout the day was the icing on the cake!

Excellent breakfast buffet and excellent dinner buffet. Haven't had such delicious duck in a long time! Compliments to the Chef and his professional staff. Already recommended Don Giovanni to a friend 😃

This hotel is great!! We stayed in a junior suite, and had access to the absolutely wonderful Executive Lounge. Location is good, about 5 stops on the metro from the centre. If we had 1 negative, it would be the hot buffet at breakfast was not that hot.

Great location for visiting Prague. Really nice hotel, with great breakfast and good service. The reception, restaurant and bar areas are stunning. The bedrooms were nice but not very well stocked (hangers, toiletries, tea/coffee etc).

This was our second stay in Don Giovanni and we were not disappointed. I love their breakfast buffet, it's simply the best I ever had so far. We also had their dinner buffet, if you are not a vegetarian then you will enjoy it. It's really tasty for a good price.

Jeden Tag gibt es genau das gleiche Essen zum Frühstück. Nichts ändert sich. Wenn Sie hier sind für mehr als 1 Nacht wird es nicht Ihr Geld sein.

Upmarket service and hotel experience at a fair price. Staying a little out of the main city area in Prague meant it was quieter, and less congested. The buffet breakfast was impressive too.

Great hotel but do not get anything out of the mini bar totally a rip of a bottle of water a kit Kat and tobalo £5:50 breakfast wasn’t the best stayed at a hotel in Brno probably the best breakfast in Czech Republic by far
