We had a lovely stay here over New Years. We watched the fireworks from the patio, enjoyed the pool (although even the kids said it was too cold), and wandered into town everyday along the water. Our room had an amazing view of the lake! However, we never seemed to be in or out at the right time for housekeeping and the one time they did come they didn’t wipe any surfaces or vacuum.

Loved the facilities, especially the gym and pool. It’s a shame the gym doesn’t open until 7am, an earlier work out time would be better so that you can continue with your day. Buffet breakfast was amazing

Loved the resort, the pool, the bar & restaurant. Great views, quiet, and overall good value for money (for Queenstown!) I guess only thing I'd say is the minifridge was so small and full of minibar items that we couldn't fit our own things...

A good experience but a couple of the amenities were not restocked, including toothpaste and conditioner in the shower. They also didn’t take a wet towel and left it in the bathroom after cleaning. We also had to pay for parking which should be better described in the booking.

Beim Check-In konnte unsere Buchung nicht gefunden werden, obwohl das Hotel uns zuvor eine Mail mit Informationen geschickt hatte. Wir mussten fast eine Stunde warten, bis wir ein Zimmer bekamen. Dieses war groß und hatte Seeblick, aber auch einen schmutzigen Teppich und ein ziemlich altes Bad. Der Aufenthalt war für uns leider nicht zufriedenstellend.

Walked into dirty room, that even the guy who dropped our bags off was shocked and he had to be quickly vacuum it as said its was not ok at all. etc.. keys wouldnt work and wouldnt let us in so wated alot of our time and stress doing that with 6 kids and disabilities not ok. Was told by staff oh weve been busy so staff havnt been able to clean like we do...what the ?? Unacceptable! Slept ontop of beds as couldnt be sure that was even clean... yuck. As for keys locking us out. Making a disabled person have to walk 5 minutes or more and down elevators t to reception just to give us another faulty card. Absolute worst stay weve ever experienced and not worth even half what we paid for... tent would have been better.

first room i was put in it stinks of mould and carpet was wet second room had hand soap in the shower body wash compartment i got it in my eyes caused irritation all day i told the reception and not even a sorry from her ,well last time i stay there

When I arrived, they said they upgraded me to a lake view room, which is great. Sadly, as we walked into the room we were surprised by wet upholstery smell from one of the benches and sewage smell in the bathroom. We did tell the front desk about it and they were very apologetic and tried what they can to clean it and even offered us a different room which we had to reluctantly reject. Unfortunately, we have our young infant with us so when we are in the hotel it is likely that he is asleep and moving will most likely disturb his sleep. Tldr: they really need to look into the issue with that room. I commend them on their customer service but if the issue isn't addressed, we certainly won't be the last person complaining about it.

We enjoyed our stay at Mercure however we were disappointed with the size of the room, and the facilities in the room, not even allowing 4 cups for our guests in the room. No toaster, no plates, cups, cutlery. The view was beautiful though and the beds comfy.

Property is dated and needs renovation. Our room had dirty carpets with spill marks. Staff was fantastic and check in was smooth. We found parking on all days we were there - free on site. Location was great, short drive from town centre. We booked double queen bed room with lake view and it had an amazing view and size.

It is next door to qrc resort where we needed to go. Parking is great in the morning but terrible if you leave about 6pm there are no parks when you get back and none on the street either We could constantly hear the groaning of the elivator and hear the neighbours talking most of the night

Loved the lakeside room, view was spectacular of the lake and mountains. Comfortable with two queen beds for the three of us. Shame they do not have a airport shuttle bus, while there is a bus service, it is min $10 per person from the airport which drops you near the hotel. Ok if you have only carry on bags.

The breakfast was cold and chewy, it was $32 per person so for all 3 of us when we didn’t eat much at all $96 was way over the top. The staff how ever are fantastic- if we were to stay again it would definitely be because of the helpful lovely staff from as soon as we walked in the door u til we left again Thank you

Arrived late and paid a premium to stay (>$500). Receptionist didn’t want to be paid by cash, asked three times for credit card payment. Limited parking. Rooms were old and carpets close to thread bare. Positives - clean crisp sheets and bed reasonably comfortable. Next morning realised had paid for a lake view room (which we were not given) - at checkout was rectified with a credit, however still overpriced for what we received. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend.

Staff was so helpful and courteous. Very welcoming and had us in our room within no time. The meal was superb. The abeef Cheeks was so tender and scrumptious. Our bed was so comfortable and very warm. Our only gripes and downfall if any was the room for diabled persons is quite a fair way from the lifts and it was so cold in the corridors and bedroom. It took a long time for the heat pump to warm the room. We left it on high all night and it wasn't as warm as we wouldve liked it. Thank you for our stay 🌻

Room was smelly. Service mediocre. I asked for a power converter and the staff in the front desk seemed annoyed. While on their brochure stated they provide it but she didt want to be bothered. Breakfast? For a $35, they need to provide more options and they were slow to replenish the food, took 10 mins.

Breakfast buffet very good, food changed over well before emptied to keep hot food fresh, spectacular views from both restaurants and our room. All the staff were exceptional and well trained in hospitality. We received a personal message on booking and a birthday surprise in our room. Fern Hill was a great location up high with uninterrupted views and away from busy roads but a short 3 minute drive to town.

Mercure is a beautiful property with a nice view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay fully. We got dinner at the restaurant in the hotel that also has an amazing view. Buffet breakfast was decent. 5 star property. Plenty of parking available. It is a 5 min drive to the city centre but we didn’t mind.

We always opt to stay at Mercure due to the convenience of it. The buffet breakfast is overpriced for a small eater - paid $30 odd dollars for a piece of toast and drink. Otherwise can’t complain.

This property was OK for the stay. It is a Little dated inside and out. It is a way out of town but we knew this during the booking. People who do not choose to walk would find this an issue. The bar food was adequate and the staff were friendly always. There was a shortage of staff that made wait times longer for food etc. Breakfast was great

We had amazing views over the lake. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The bar was a great place to hang out and the food we ordered there was very good. Breakfast is ok but you get amazing views over the lake, so it's definitely a great option.
