Nice Hotel, Great Location, Front Desk staff and Pool staff need to communicate better with the pool access and rules.

The room was super cute and had a full sized fridge with lots of snacks for purchase. The chrome cast didn’t work, room service was unavailable, one one elevator was working, and the pool was closed on Monday for cleaning. Great gym, beautiful pool area, fantastic location.

I appreciated how spacious the rooms were. Toiletries smelled great, decent bed, very friendly and helpful staff, great location for folks wanting to be close to restaurants but not too in the mix. The pool is a whole vibe. Cafe and working space are excellent. Not great: The elevators are slow and the signage around the hotel is not very helpful (a sign referring to the 2nd floor posted in front of the elevator on the 1st floor. A sign telling you the cafe is behind you, after you already pass it).

Enjoyed the stay, the gym and the pool

The staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. The manager gave us a list of his must visit places as it was our first time in New Orleans. The hotel is unique and eccentric, doesn’t look corporate and we loved that bc it added to the experience of the city. The pool was heated and the rooftop gave a nice view of the city.

Had a great stay at Ace Hotel. Weekdays the pool was much less busy and great way to start the day and ease into NOLA sights.

Great location and everything was very walkable. The rooftop pool area was amazing! We were slightly disappointed they closed this area early one day of our stay but we understand this was due to safety concerns. We understood there was some construction on our floor and that is ok however they began using very loud machinery at 7:20am which woke us up. I think they should have waited until at least 8 am to be that loud/make they much noise.

Really awesome vibe and a unique look. The restaurants are great, rooftop pool is incredible, live music in the lobby ballroom and fantastic cocktail and coffee bars. All around awesome place, and made it hard to leave the hotel to explore New Orleans!

Staff were excellent - friendly and professional, loved the eating options onsite or nearby. Hotel is beautifully done, lobby is gorgeous, great ambience, and loved the live and streamed music that was pervasive but not intrusive. Pool was not accessible and only one elevator during my stay, otherwise a very nice visit and place to stay.

Spent the Independence Day holiday at The Barnett and had an amazing stay. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the property was spotless. The restored art deco building is beautiful, and the rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. I loved the rooftop pool with cocktails and great city views. With excellent dining options and spaces that work for both relaxing and getting things done, it’s the perfect mix of New Orleans charm and comfort. Highly recommend!

My bathroom must have been abandoned mid clean. Toilet tank cover was not on the toilet, dirty towels in corner, lemons and limes in the garbage, glass cups drying on a hand towel, floor sticky, shower wouldn’t drain. I would have switched but got in late and had unpacked before I realized. Check in woman very professional and kind though.

I don’t typically take the time to write long reviews, but my experience at The Barnett was disappointing enough that I believe it’s worth sharing—especially for others who are considering staying here based on the hotel’s aesthetic or reputation. I rented five nights’ worth of rooms for a work trip. I stayed from June 4–6, and I booked a second room for my assistant ) from June 4–7. I intentionally chose The Barnett over several other beautiful and more affordable hotels, based on what I expected from a property affiliated with the Ace Hotel name. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the price tag—or the expectations. Let’s start with the rooms. Mine was dingy and felt dirty. There were visible stains in the bathroom, water damage, and rotten flooring near the balcony. The refrigerator didn’t work, and there wasn’t even an ice machine on the fourth floor—we had to go all the way to the restaurant to get ice. My assistant’s room had major issues with the air conditioning; it was consistently hot, and she struggled to regulate the temperature during her stay. Housekeeping didn’t replenish towels and washcloths properly either. For the rate we paid, these basic issues were unacceptable. The service at both the rooftop and lobby bars was shockingly poor. On the rooftop, we waited over 30 minutes for a single mojito while the bartender sat chatting with guests who weren’t even ordering—completely ignoring us. Front staff were very nice and attentive. Unfortunately on our way to the elevator a mouse went scurrying by. Told the front staff, they seemed indifferent. Floor of room was very sticky. Also floor was very old tile, needs to be replaced. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair in the room ( 2 small wooden chairs were in the room) and a nightstand between the beds would have been nice. I used the wooden chair as a nightstand.

The first night, I woke up in middle of night to see a cockroach crossing the floor. I asked them to put incidentals on a different card which I gave them. They put a $300 hold on that debit card and then proceeded to take out incidentals on my debit card which they said they wouldn't. Some of the staff were great and some were down right rude!

Clean. Surprisingly quiet in the room even with live music downstairs.

The room floor appeared dirty. The heating unit was noisy and needed fixing which did not happen even after informing the staff.

I know most people wouldn't consider a fridge to be awesome but they had an old fashioned one. The room itself was huge with great views

The building itself is awesome. Super cool inside with bars and restaurants. The room idea is awesome but not executed the best. The corner room with full windows and couch and bed and separate shower and tub we awesome, but it felt very institutional in the room. Echoed and could hear other rooms. The bed was really low and the mattress was super uncomfortable. Kind of a let down over all.

The mattresses were hard and unacceptable for a Hyatt. There was no comfortable chair in the room. Otherwise, the room was okay. I would not recommend due to the beds.

This hotel is very cute, fun eclectic decor, multiple restaurants bats, and a cafe, and is in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cute and spacious even for a solo traveller in a king room. The bed was clean and cozy, but it is quite firm so if you like a firm bed then youll like it. Highly recommend this place!

Poorly managed hotel with unresponsive staff. We booked a suite for our anniversary and we had no WiFi or television during our entire stay. My husband had to cancel his conference call because there was no WiFi. We had to cancel our dinner reservation because the front desk told us to wait for internet repair which never happened. No follow up from the hotel until days after we checked out despite numerous calls to front desk for a status report. It took three hours and two requests just to get extra towels. If you care about reasonable customer service, I suggest you book elsewhere.

Very unique deco-feel property, front desk staff was great. Room was funky in both interesting and not so great ways. I requested a quiet room, and it would have been but for the very loud knocking sounds that occurred when the AC was finished with a cycle. So you'd be awakened many times in the night. In addition there were quite loud knocks from the full-size fridge in the room. The room was very spacious, with spare and unusual 1920s-30s decor, purposely shabby (a shoe print on the coffee table that must have had paint on it) The toilet seat had some type of adhesive residue in the shape of a foot print, that housekeeping promptly responded in an attempt to clean it, but after really trying, only got some of it off. I might have requested a room change, but we weren't there that long to bother. I like the hotel's location, but we don't think we'll be back to the Barnett.

90degree heat wave. No AC was miserable. We had to move bedroom mattresses to living room, to get air from open window. It’s hard to speak well of this hotel, due to the heated experience.

Rooms were not good for a business trip. No place to work. Big rooms but needed some type of carpets. Also hate new showers that are almost completely open. Just a small glass enclosure.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff was so kind and helpful. I booked the Corner King specifically for the soaking tub, and it was worth every penny. The only gripe I have is that I had trouble casting my phone to the TV, but the staff was quick to help.

Showed up, the hotel said they lost my reservation for my king bed. They had one room available. It was a twin bed the room was obviously super dated and smelled terrible. The two times i tried to say something to the front desk people, they explained how I was lucky they had a room. The other thing they said was this always happens with Expedia bookings.

From welcome to goodbyes, the staff is EXCELLENT! The front desk host, Brie, is professional, friendly, efficient and was very personable. She made our anniversary special! Tynnel, the host at the pool offered the same exceptional service making us feel comfortable and cared for. Iris, in the Barnett Trattoria offered five star service attentively caring above and beyond our needs! This is our fourth stay, first since change of hands! We will definitely be back!!

The staff was very accommodating! Our room wasn’t ready when we got there due to a maintenance issue, they took care of our bags and sent us upstairs for a free drink. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice. The restaurant was some of the best food i’ve had. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

Every member of the staff we encountered at the Barnett was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel was in excellent shape and was convenient to the event we attended. Also on the trolley line making it convenient. A dresser in the room would have been nice to have. and the restaurant food was nothing special, but only ate there for convenience. Our stay there was excellent. I would not hesitate to return.

I’ve been coming with with various family and friends for years, when this was the ace hotel, this was our staycation spot. This particular weekend I also ran into my aunt and her friends from out of town. What a coincidence. The front desk had a dispenser of different drinks throughout the day. After dinner I had a cup in my hand and the extremely nice lady at the front told me it was fine to fill it up when I asked. “ not an issue “. So I did it once more in another flavor while passing by to meet my family in the restaurant connected. Not an issue once again. Had I known they were going to authorize a charge of $70 without my acknowledgment or permission, itemized as (4) Paloma’s , I would have just gotten a drink at the bar. How are they charging me for 4 drinks , when I had two, out of a complimentary cooler ? When trying to resolve this issue, the staff became irritable and extremely hard to work with, not letting me know when the GM would be in to talk about this. After speaking to Jeremy and him hanging up on me, and another manager who wouldn’t identify themself today, I’ve decided to just air out this issue here. I have both phone recordings as well. Everyone else was extremely welcoming, the bartenders by the pool, the front desk people, the restaurant, all amazing experiences. But the customer service skills within your management team is lacking. Specifically the downstairs bar manager that charged me $70 unknowingly , and the management team I tried to come to a

Gorgeous property, great pool, terrific bar/bartender, awesome valet. Unfortunately, one specific front desk personnel wasn’t the best. I had to wait 1.5 hours after my arrival for my room to be ready, they did give me a free drink voucher, which was nice. I had to to continuously check the status because I think they forgot. I even pre checked in so I didn’t feel welcomed and I felt like I was disturbing them when I asked for basic things, which wasn’t much. Other than that I may give it another try in the future after I stay at some other places because the hotel was so nice and exquisite.

Just a quick three day trip to New Orleans for anniversary stop. Hotel was perfect very nice inside and room was impeccable. Hotel was on the opposite side of downtown, which made the noise factor very manageable.

Loved staying at this hotel! Check-in and checkout was super easy, clean rooms, in a great location.

The property looks just like it does on the website. The people were very friendly this was my first time in New Orleans and this was the perfect location to walk to a lot of places and not be far from everything. The best decision i made. I will be back to this hotel

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Couple of blocks walk from French Quarter without the craziness.

The Barnett has a unique vibe which suits New Orleans. Great location to walk the city and get to the French Quarter. Staff were super friendly.

The hotel is well located near the french quarter. But if you go there during Mardi gras, you will probably have to walk a block or two with your suitcases as we did. But it is probably the case with other hotels in this area. Otherwise we liked our stay.

This is one of my favorite hotels. Such a fun, unique and quirky hotel. Staff are great and such a great location!

The hotel is in a great location, it’s close enough to the main streets but far enough away so you don’t have to hear all the late night noise. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and I would definitely stay again.

Loved our stay at the Barnett! Would definitely stay here again. Great location close to things yet away from the fray. Fabulous lobby and bar, love the cafe for morning coffee and pastries. Lunch at the restaurant (bar area) was delicious and server was super sweet. Room was spacious and comfortable. All staff members were courteous and helpful. Very much enjoyed our time here.

We stayed 3 nights for a short vacation and to see Hamilton. It was a short walk to the Saenger as well as many restaurants and shops in the Warehouse district. It is right by the St Charles line trolley stop, and was an easy walk to the French Quarter. We actually didn’t move our car the whole time we were there. The kids loved the rooftop pool. It was always really crowded in the afternoons through the evening, but we found that from 9-11 in the morning, it areas perfect for the kids. They could swim and enjoy without disturbing any adults. They actually had the pool to themselves all 3 mornings. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and unique. We ate at the Josephine Estelle for brunch, breakfast, and lunch while there, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked a room with a balcony, they were 'sold out' and told me that a reservation is not guaranteed in room type when you book third party. then went into the room where a random man tried to get into my room, he asked when I checked in since he was 'just in there' then when I went to shower, the bathtub hadnt been cleaned. neighbors were very loud, walls were paper thin. nam, the bellman at the end of the trip (after checkout) made up for it by helping me walk my bag to my next hotel a few blocks away. (no one helped or offered to help me with my bag upon checkin) also theres no room service, also the incidentals are 200 dollars a night instead of the typical 150.

Both the bar and the restaurant on the first floor were a real highlight. We had a late night date at the restaurant one night, and breakfast the following morning. Both meals were actually some of the tastiest versions of the food we had had. (Best caesar salad I have had in years, best pancakes, etc) The hotel front desk staff were not great but not too problematic. A bit useless. We had issues getting the tv netflix sync thing to work and the front desk said they would send someone up and we waited an hour and no one ever came. They never apologized. That was a really boring night TBH and I had drank espresso before dinner, thinking we would stay up late to watch a movie, and then all we could do was just lay there. I understand a hotel in New Orleans is not the main event of why you are there, you're there to go out and have fun around town-- and we did. But when you run out of steam around 3 and take a nap til 5, then go out again for drinks and dinner, and then come back instead of going out for more fun because it's thunder storming, I just really wanted to watch something on netflix. The rooms are fine. Ours was neat. The hallway carpet is in bad shape which could give you a bad impression of the place, but again it's a fairly priced hotel in a party city. Rooftop bar/pool was cool but not really open much as we were there in December. We did have an INCREDIBLE bacon lettuce tomato (BLT) sando from the rooftop grill though. Will stay here again.

Beautiful art deco style but not well appointed or finished. Exposed tv and refrigerator wires and plugs ruined the aesthetics. Not well appointed- no robes in the room. Front desk clerk was inadequate, overwhelmed and not cordial. In room dining was frustratingly incompetent with incorrect website, phone number and incorrect menu items. The affiliated restaurants, Seaworthy and Brutto Americano were excellent in every way.

I didn’t like that I was supposed to get a roll away bed and they couldn’t give me one on arrival claiming fire codes when the room was huge! So my daughter had to stay elsewhere. They didn’t include breakfast or parking, The cafe had no pastries on weekend or Monday. And the restaurant was closed for breakfast during the week. I have over a $100 bill for what I’m not sure so calling about that and my points didn’t get put on!

Location is great. In house restaurant Josephine Estelle is a must! Delicious.

After a long week, I simply wanted a quiet evening with room service before a morning appointment in the city. I used the QR code to access the menu and all menu items indicated ‘unavailable.’ I called the front desk and they routed me to room service, which ended up being a voicemail box. I did this 3 times and on the fourth time, the desk person told me “I guess they’re busy, sorry.” No follow-up, no let me see what we can do, nothing. So I basically paid about $400 to watch TV and eat their overpriced room snacks, which are plentiful. Oh, if you want free condoms, this is place to be. Too bad I only wanted to eat food. The room was clean and the retro look is cute, but if you want any service to your room go somewhere else. I have stayed in many places in NOLA and there are better options for this price point.

This was my second stay here, however my first under new ownership. Love it here! Suggestions I would add is get a whole building fragrance machine because the hallways smell bad. Also the breakfast in the restaurant was awful. They changed the menu and the eggs were awful then served chunked potatoes fries as home fries!! Very bad restaurant experience!! Keep the old menu, it was wayyyy better!!
