Almost an institution where a lot of celebrities used to stay, this property is now showing her age in many ways. Our corner room is renovated and quite comfortable with high quality bed linens. However, many public areas like the lobby, hallway and the small pool are left behind in the bygone era and need a makeover. Rooftop Solarium appears to be recently updated and offers great views with light dining options. To us it was one of the highlights of our stay. Buffett breakfast is decent with many choices although made to order eggs are only available with an extra fee. A small disappointment. Staff are friendly and helpful for the most part which is expected at a hotel at this level.

The hotel, staff and room were amazing. The one negative was that, without any advance notice, the hotel’s restaurant was closed to a private function on both nights, a Thursday and Friday. For a Michilen starred restaurant, that would be unheard of in the US. What made it a bit worse is the staff were clearly uncomfortable with the situation, and would simply say the restaurant was “fully booked,” which was not quite accurate.

The hotel has not been kept up and maintained and needs a deep clean, there are tons of mosquitoes and bugs in the rooms, drawers are dusty, there was hair all over the bathroom when we checked in. The sheets are like sand paper. The shampoo, lotion, conditioner and hand soap have a terrible scent. Service is barely average. The gym is small.

While this is a classic hotel we found the property a bit outdated. The air conditioning did not work in our room, the shower is not big enough for a 5’4 person to move around let alone a 6’2 person. One night our room was turned down then the next night it wasn’t. Sometimes we were provided water in the room sometimes not! The buffet was very plentiful despite the fact I don’t like buffets, they do offer cooked to order eggs tho! Overall we decided not worth the $600 per night price tag—we expected alot more for that price.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful, the restaurant wonderfull. We walked to the historic area and around seaport. Our room was comfy. The sheets were not as soft as in other hotels, but it dd not bother me at all.

The best part of my 11 day trip to Italy, was my 3 night stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Naples. The service and cleanliness of the hotel is perfecto! The staff goes beyond what is expected to make sure you have the best experience while at their hotel. I will definitely be coming back! This hotel is nestled on a strip with wonderful restaurants and shopping with in walking distance.

A heritage property this was a great choice. The staff the sea the sight were awesome. Everyone starting from front desk to restaurants were filled with passionate people. Though the rooms were small, the Balcony overlooking the Bay made up for a great time to bask in the evening sun and watch a great down.

Nice reception from front desk. However standard facilities were only available upon request eg tea/coffee tray, swimming pool access which meant you needed to contact reception but long delay in answering phone. 3 members of staff needed to bring kettle, tea tray and then adapter for kettle which didn’t even work! Another wasted 30 minutes of listening to an engaged tone on the phone trying to call reception. Expect more from a 5 star hotel. Bathroom and overall facilities needs to be modernised. Average breakfast. Great location.

The best part of my 11 day trip to Italy, was my 3 night stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio, Naples. The service and cleanliness of the hotel is perfecto! The staff goes beyond what is expected to make sure you have the best experience while at their hotel. I will definitely be coming back! Fantastic location and Facility. The staff, especially the Concierge Team, went above and beyond in taking care of us. The Chief was not only gifted but a totally charming person and his staff was also top notch. Highly recommend the Hotel. Definitely 5 STAR all the way.

The hotel was amazingly beautiful and the staff was top notch. We had a king room, which was very spacious. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The rooftop bar and views were spectacular.
