We really enjoyed our long weekend stay. The resort is great for kids! Having the pool and the bay on the property, and the actual beach just a short walk away was all very convenient. There were showers at the pool and the bay for convenient rinsing, and the free arcade games were fun for the family. We also participated in the kids' activities a couple of times, and visited the colorful birds on the property. There was always something to do, although we missed the other regular programs. The hotel staff were very helpful! There were a few incidents that weren't great- our room wasn't ready on time, it was taken out of service and they changed our room after check in, and there was some disturbing construction noise next to the new room, but the staff (front desk Amaya and manager Roman) handled these issues in a way that we were satisfied with. There were a couple of interactions that weren't so nice, but we had more positive interactions to make up for it. We had a nice meal at Moray's Lounge, but I also really liked the taco place next door to the hotel. Ralph's is nearby for groceries too. The resort fee ($52/nt) and parking ($47/nt) are kind of crazy, and it's inconvenient that the parking garage doesn't have an elevator, but the bell desk can help load your bags on a cart to load/unload on the lobby level. Isaiah was particularly helpful and friendly!

We loved it! We had a family suite that was much much bigger than we expected It’s definitely a more “vintage” Hawai’i feel as in the room had a very dated look, but in clean way. We loved the pool area with the weekend bar, free arcade, and the music choices were 👌. Location was 100/100! Restaurants were all very good!

Housekeeping either doesn't come or is very early like 7am. The amount of chairrs on the bay is very little. The bird exhibits is not actually done as advertised and isn't available. No microwave. No bedding for pull out couch. For $1200+ a day i feel like more should be included. Also it is Bayside not beachside.

Great stay for our girls trip to San Diego! Beautiful tropical themed lobby with a waterfall and koi pond. Pretty grounds, nice pool with drink and food options, coffee shop was perfect for grab n go coffee. Perfect location and walkable to both Mission and Pacific Beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurant was a bit pricey but nicely located with a view of the beach. Our room was clean but the only negative thing that needs some attention was the damp carpet. I know the humidity was high when we were there but it was a not something that I enjoyed. The hotel is a bit older so for the most part it was kept up beautifully. We had a room that overlooked the pool with a balcony. I would definitely stay again.

I was in the tower 14th floor beautiful view of the beach, every morning me and my family would sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view and the morning. The hotel is beautifully styled in the Hawaiian themed decor. The beach near by is very nice. There is also a bay area that is also very nice. There is a free arcade by the pool which the kids enjoyed. The staff was all very nice and accommodating. The only things I would say that were negative would be its slightly noisy outside (neighbors on their balconies, traffic, sirens, planes, & helicopters) and you can hear everything due to the sliding door and windows not being sound proof and I would say maybe the room needs a bit of an update. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
