Thanks for accomodating a short notice booking. Also, thanks for bringing a microwave to the room. The bar needed restocking because on saturday night, they ran out of the popular draft beers.

Property was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. We walked back from the Lincoln Monument - so quite accessible location. Parking was very expensive and I wish it had a pool.

The valet parking was very expensive. The cost was almost the equivalent of half the price of the room which makes no sense. We were charge 103$ US for a large vehicule (truck) and it was parked 20 meters from the entrance.

My family and I went to thw Nat'l African American Museum and the Planet Word Museum. The Westin was the perfect location. Staff were friendly and professional. Valet parking was expensive and the only option . Nice gym.

For a Westin, this felt more like a Best Western, or a West-OUT, cause I wanted to get out of there asap! The fridge in my room wasn't working. The floors were dirty and felt crusty from whatever was previously spilled and left uncleaned. My door had a gap on the bottom and through the side where the latch was-how comforting to feel like someone could just pry their fingers through. When I got into my room there was flung brown gunk on the walls and ceiling.... not sure what was going on but overall this hotel was one of the worst stays I've been to. The lobby and service members were nice but the quality of the room and cleanliness is a huge deter!!! Very disappointing considering that it's a Westin.

This hotel was very dirty and dingy. Carpets are worn and a clear traffic path down the center of the carpet. The walls were dirty and needed paint. The elevator was filthy. This trip was for my wife’s and my 54th wedding anniversary and we were very disappointed. We ended up spending 1 night but checked out the next day incurring a cancellation fee. I will protest that charge when my credit card bill comes.

Highly disappointed! Was expecting much better for the price paid and valet parking is too expensive! The hallways and rooms were depressing and the sheets, pillows, walls, drapes and carpet were stained. The only reason we were comfortable was because we brought our own sheets and towels.

The Westin needs a renovation. It might have been the place to stay 20 years ago. I had to change the room once due to uncleanliness. The hotel staff is nice. The valet is awful. They kept moving my car unnecessarily.

Room was dingy. Bathroom coat rack was about to fall off. Shower cover (where the hot and cold knob was) was not secured; I was able to rotate it freely. Strange arrangement with only half the shower covered. Couch chair looked dirty; did not trust sitting on it. We paid extra for a “city view” but it was very restricted. Most of our view was of the adjacent building. Not worth it. However, staff was excellent. Responded to all our requests in a timely manner. Everyone was very polite and pleasant. Valet was great too with unlimited in and out privileges (albeit expensive, but it’s about what everyone else charges). Bed was comfortable. TV was a decent size with common streaming services available. Fitness center looked good with machines all in working condition. Complimentary water and towels (and apples for some reason) were nice. A bit far from the national mall but not too bad. Overall a fairly good and convenient location. Solid choice for the price. Just don’t expect a totally pristine room.

Everything in the room worked though, and after seeing some reviews saying air conditioning or refrigerator didn't work I didn't want to ask about changing rooms. Air Conditioning wasn't the greatest though and leaked water out of the ceiling. And there was no microwave, which was an inconvenience. Positives...the bed was clean and comfy, plenty of hot water in the shower, TV had apps, and the staff was polite and friendly.

The stay was decent. The hotel itself is very dated, for a Westin. Bathroom was small. Room was good, just a step below what I expect for a Westin. Rooms are centered around an atrium that was very loud and busy until very late into the night/next morning. It took me 6 floors to find a working ice machine. Most floors appeared to have had the machines removed. Some didn't work. Try floor 5 if you need ice. Overall, meh. I wouldn't go back. There are far more, and far better, options in DC. Typically a Westin delivers an agreeable product, but not this location.

I will start off by saying that my experience with The Westin was a nightmare. I travel all the time and this was a very last minute trip due to it being for an emergent family matter. I would definitely recommend reading the most recent google reviews as it is telling. Me and my family arrived after normal check in hours which I was told would be fine when I called to confirm the reservation. However, upon arrival the gentleman at the desk was rude and stated that they are unable to accommodate me due to late check in despite me calling earlier that day and being told it was fine. The gentleman proceeded to tell me there is no such thing as late check in. I explained to him I travel all the time and never have a problem with calling ahead and letting them know I will be late. I have my preferred hotels but I wanted to try something different. The gentleman proceeded to be hateful and rude. He made me feel unsafe and raised concerns about my safety. I had my child with me and decided to leave without incidence on my end. He instructed me to reach out to Expedia to get my refund. I requested refund and was fully okay with losing the fee of the first night as long as I received my refund for the rest of the booking as I was told I would since I never got to check in or stay during my time in DC. I received an email stating that my refund request was denied entirely, despite the policy being for any cancellations or missed bookings the fee will be equivalent to the first night

I made a reservation of 5 rooms about a month in advance and the night before our arrival, the hotel send me a letter canceling my 5 rooms reservation. The only explanation said when I called was thar they overbooked and had to cancelled my rooms. I was traveling from overseas with an infant, they did not care at all. Did not helped booked me in another of their hotels in the area. They were absolutely IRRESPONSIBLE and CARELESS.

Our stay was overall really nice. The check-in process on a Saturday night was a bit of a wait due to the guests in front of us each seemingly having issues, but the desk guy checking us in was such an angel. This was a nice hotel stay for 2 nights in the nation’s capital. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a convenience store next door, and it is within walking distance of drugstores, coffee shops, and restaurants. The only slight inconvenience is that the metro is four blocks away. Taxis and buses are nearby though if you need them. The White House is a 20 minute walk away. Not bad, huh? Great hotel!

Great- Every staff member we encountered was excellent! Very nice & accommodating. That alone makes it worth the stay. Early check in was appreciated too. Good - Comfortable bed & room Average - Room was basic with very few amenities for a 4 star hotel. Lobby was average, overall hotel decor was average. Poor - breakfast was not ok. Very costly (advertised as $30/p but did not live up to the price. Very basic, small and no recognition or substitutes for allergies. The room had a "governor" on the thermostat.

They advised a restaurant but it was far from that. Only a small preset menu that never changed from breakfast to dinner. Most food I would consider bar food and sub par at that. Service was awful and , chaotic . And our so-called upgrade was just an ordinary king room. The room was up on the eighth floor, but clear at the end of the hallway from the elevator, which is really hard for elderly people to walk that greater distance they need to be more concerned with putting elderly and disabled people closer to the elevators or lobbies.

I'll start with the 'dislike'. Everything in the room was clean but the carpet needed a vacuum badly. Its like the surfaces were dusted onto the carpet &then forgot to vacuum. I also ordered room service twice & was twice disappointed by the food considering the description & price & both times items were left off or not as described. The crab cakes tasted like & was the consistency of mushy cat food. Also, the parking rates are astronomically expensive. What I loved about Westin was the front staff. They made me feel so safe & welcome & helped me with any question I had & did so with a genuine smile. I had no worries for my solo trip knowing they were there. I loved the overall atmosphere as well & felt like the price was reasonable for all the amenities offered. I would stay there again but I won't spend money on room service or parking.

Westin was my top stay this year with check in and quality. I usually upgrade for view in cities around the world. The view was stunning, and I had not requested an upgrade. The young lady who checked me in was close to very best in my many travels military, private industry and Fed govt. Regret being bad with names. Our breakfast service with Sitsu was really nice too.

Donna and Iyana at the bar were absolutely fantastic! It was may daughter’s birthday and they both made it a great evening for us both. Besides the fantastic customer service they were extremely logical about the food selections, drink selections, as well as some point of interest in DC for us to take advantage of while we were staying at the hotel. I was very grateful to have met both of them as they made our trip to Washington DC a very pleasurable one.

We really enjoyed our room. We had a city view which I would recommend. When I was booking I didn’t understand what a room with ‘a view’ was. I assume now that was a view of the interior of the hotel.
