The staff was very courteous and helpful. Pool was nice. Facilities were dated but generally in ok shape given it's age. Our room didn't have a coffee machine, which is weird. It also had flooring that was damaged and the ceiling in the toilet/shower room was cracked and starting to fall in. That being said, we'll prob stay here again, just not in the same room. The price was right and the location was right around the corner from Busch Gardens so that made it easy for us.

The pool was closed for repairs. We were not allowed to sit and relax in pool area. At breakfast there was sausage but no eggs. The facility looked very old but it was at least clean. No body wash in shower , only shampoo.

Pool doesn’t open until 10 am. It’s locked up tight. Shower hot water goes quick, morning was better for hot water. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and property was clean. Area was ok not great but not horrible. Great location if going to Busch Gardens. We walked there and back. All in all. I would stay there again.

When housekeeping came, they didn't change my sheets. The just rotated them. I noticed by a stain on the fitting sheet when i found bugs in my bed and took covers off.They gave me another room for the night. I wasn’t leaving all my stuff in that room. I literally switch the whole bedding from the new room to mine. No help, no im sorry, no anything. So, if you stay there, make a stain on the sheet. Check to make sure its not on a different corner.

Do not recommend. Worst condition I have ever seen. Stained sheets, mold on AC, air system smelled like a air freshner with smoke, mold, urine, and whatever else you can image. Tried staying but after 10 minutes I could not breathe with wheezing and allergic reactions. 15 mins later, left to never come back.

I found two German cockroaches in the room. Those are the small ones. And you know if you see one there are more somewhere else.Not enough wash clothes for a room that's supposed to sleep for total. There were eyelashes stuck to the headboard of one of the two rooms I booked. That tells me the room was not properly cleaned.

No wifi for first night, had to leave the hotel to work using public wifi; when manager was called he insisted there was no problem even if Jennifer informed us techs had been called to work on wifi issues for the past 2 days; had to show front desk employee recorded videos from multiple iphones showing wifi not available. Dry blood stains on the bedsheets, clump of dog hair in bath tub even though i clearly stated in my online check in that i was highly allergic to dogs, clogged sinks in both rooms, roaches in one of the rooms, rude housekeeping employees, housekeeper was mad bcz she had to come change the blood stained bed sheets, she didn’t know that Spanish was my fourth language, was talking about her displeasure to her coworker. She went through 3 different bed sheets and 2 comforters before she found clean ones which made her more furious! Ripped the stained sheets in half in front us, she just barged in, didn’t knock on the door, When complaining to the front desk clerk she asked if i knew the name of the housekeeper, which i didn’t cz i didn’t see a name tag; she then asked me if she’s a redhead which i confirmed and she replied: i had a feeling it was her bcz it’s not a first time we have complaints about her! breakfast boiled eggs were old, overcooked, smelled. Did not have a clock in room 206. When complaining upon check out the front desk clerk said to expect a call from the manager who was scheduled to come in at 1pm that day, but we never did get the call!

Looks a bit run down on the outside, but the rooms are clean and well-kept and the air conditioning is flawless. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast is good, although starts a bit later (7am) than other LaQuinta locations, which can leave you hungry if you’ve got an early start. The property is across the street from Busch Gardens and close to several food chains. The property is also reachable by public transportation, which is something of a rarity in Tampa. For families this seems like a nice budget option. Plenty of children seemed to be having a great time in the pool. The hotel itself was nice, and was more like a motel, with each room facing the outside of the property and plenty of parking. The area around the hotel was not as nice, with many individuals who appeared unhoused or mentally ill (or both) wandering the streets after hours and sometimes screaming at each other. Overall this was a nice budget option for attending concerts at the Amalie Arena, but I might spend a bit more to stay closer to the venue if I return, or would plan to spend more on taxis or ride share services, since walking back to the hotel from the bus stop at night was sometimes unpleasant.

Beds were very comfortable, rooms were spacious, WiFi worked great. Breakfast was absolutely awful. First morning the waffle makers were on and good but every other day there was premade pancakes that were like rubber. Sausage was cold every morning. Bacon was so thin it crumbled. Eggs were the most edible option. Employee manning breakfast area was rude and mostly watching something or talking to someone on her phone on speaker. Never checked on guests or food. If I stayed here again because of the proximity to Busch gardens I would not go to the breakfast area

Wasn’t expecting much since I looked for cheap accommodations for a quick two night stay. The front desk staff and breakfast attendant were rude. Lack of communication and even eye contact during check in and out. Breakfast attendant yelled at most of the guests while we were dining all while sitting in a chair across the room. The breakfast was cold (sausage patties), only boiled eggs as an option for eggs, and on our last day, it looks like a pipe busted and flooded out the hall leading to the ice machine, and breakfast area, so the only breakfast available was a banana, apple, muffin and coffee. Someone pulled the fire alarm around 11:30pm the night before, which I would assume was when that pipe busted and flooded out the first floor. The beds were terribly stiff and the pillows old and flat. The floor in our room was not swept. We found price tags and small pieces of paper around different parts of the room. The location was very convenient to where we needed to go and had close accommodations for dining. Would not stay here again.

This was the bottom of the La Quinta barrel. It felt like a converted Motel 6. Breakfast was awful: broken serving dishes, missing items, terrible coffee machine. Avoid this LQ, there are plenty of others nearby. I went for the lowest price of the brand-name hotels; I got what I paid for. For all the negatives, I will say the staff was exceptionally friendly. They saved this rating.

Had a very nice stay at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tampa Near Busch Gardens. Staff was nice and friendly. Right near Busch Gardens. Beware that walk to entrance of Busch Gardens in about 1.3 miles away, so plan accordingly since map can be misleading.

For one night it was okay. Door looked previously damaged. Microwave wouldn’t turn off, couldn’t have the fridge and microwave plugged in at the same time. Floors were vinyl planks and sticky. Area looks sketch but the police department was next door. Bed was comfortable. Temp worked well. Not the best or worse and for one night it worked. Wouldn’t stay longer.

Very good accommodation for the cost of this place right next door to Busch Gardens plenty of parking the breakfast is plentiful nice waffles and pastries and even the patties were nice and warm the room was ample had everything you need coffee was available I chose this one as it's scored better than the other ones nearer to the airport so was happy to be slightly out of the area that evening staff were very accommodated and helpful however the morning staff were quite rude had an attitude and was not very helpful I would recommend this hotel just a shame the morning staff were hopefully having just one off day

Older hotel. Rooms and front lobby clean and attractive. Outside hallways needed trash removed and cleaned. Was very disappointed in the “breakfast” served both mornings. First day the only hot item was reheated sausage. The muffins were so dry we threw them away. This morning only boiled eggs and the same stale muffins. Yogurt, toast/muffins and dried cereal were available. A waffle maker was also available.

My stay included several disappointing experiences, especially toward the end. On the last evening, there was no hot water. That night, a loud alarm went off for no reason, waking all the guests. The following morning, due to a water leak, breakfast was relocated to the lobby – but what was offered was just an apple and a muffin. That does not qualify as breakfast, especially when it’s advertised as part of the stay. I asked about the cost of international calls from the room phone but was told they didn’t know. I asked for a follow-up, but no one got back to me. Later, when I tried calling, the phone didn’t work, even though clear instructions were printed on it. The coffee in the lobby was very poor – it seemed to have been brewed early in the morning and never refreshed. One morning, we were told we had ten minutes to vacate the room for housekeeping. That is far too short. We had to wait outside until the cleaning was done. At least 30 minutes would have been a fair request. On a positive note, the quality of the cleaning itself was good – rooms were cleaned thoroughly when service was provided. However, considering the number of issues – technical, service-related, and communication failures – some form of compensation should have been offered. It’s not just about what went wrong, but how it was (not) handled. I would not choose to stay here again.

The property definitely needs a refurbishment. The water from the sink smells like sewer water. The breakfast that is served should be consistent each day. Sunday had everything offered, but Monday was very limited. Nothing was hot (pancakes, waffles, eggs). The lobby, rooms and pool area were very clean but worn feeling.
