Holiday Inn Express Atlanta W (I-20) Douglasville by IHG

I have nothing negative to say. Everything was clean. Maybe just get those ice machines repaired. Finn at the front desk was super nice and really helpful. I will definitely stay again, whenever I’m in town next.

It was convenient, my son loved the pool, i just wish the price was cheaper

the bathroom was new, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was hot and many options for everyone. They also had a pool I'm not sure if it was open, it was hot enough to swim anyway but nice to know there is an option.

The property was very safe and well lit

We stopped here as we were driving home from Florida and wanted to break up the trip home. It is far enough outside of Atlanta to escape that horrible traffic and gave us a safer way home to Nashville which was I20 to I65. The hotel room was big and clean and breakfast was great. They had a nice workout room too. The area is great too with tons of restaurants and even a sams club and Walmart just a few buildings down if needed. Great place to stay and good area of Atlanta area

This hotel was very clean and staff was awesome! The property looked brand new on the inside. The only issue we had was that one of the two elevators was out of service.

The staff was amazing and breakfast too. The room however was not good at all. AC was not functioning properly and room was filled with mold and mildew. Also, because of the not properly functioning AC, the rug was moist and so were the bed sheets. The mold in the room cause sever inflammation in my lungs where I needed to seek the medical attention for.

This property was a good stay if it was cleaned properly.. my bed was clean but my carpet was dirty the bathroom floor was stinky and sticky the room smelled like heavy urine literally.. I tried to make my stay less stressful I went to Walmart and bought a few sprays to clean the bathroom and floors and tried to rest, long story short the smell of weed and urine all night just wasn’t the best so I ended up checking out at 4:00 in the morning..

I had roaches and spiders in my room. And another bug that I couldn’t identify.

The room had a very bad odor. The toilet has tissue left in it when we first arrived.

The price is affordable, and the breakfast is nothing new; it's the same as it was years ago. They don't have fresh fruit like they used to, the bathroom shower didn't work well, and the bed was uncomfortable, a bit sunken in and very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The rooms were nice. However our toilet stopped at the first flush. I checked out at 5:00 AM and before leaving I went to use the toilet at the check out area and it was also stopped up. Disgusting! Another problem we encountered was the safety of the showers. The tub is high so it required a handrail for stability to enter the shower. Hower, after entering the shower using the handrail we were left facing away from the shower. To safely turn around required one more handrail since turning in a wet concave bathtub is a challenge to balance

This is a mixed review. Room was clean and comfortable. But the heater was so loud I got very little sleep. I don’t know if all their rooms are that loud. Other than the noise the stay would have been excellent.

Check in process was very good, staff were all friendly and professional. The lobby and room were clean and comfortable. The room was a little warm but adjusted AC and it cooled down pretty fast. However, we quickly determined the toilet was not flushing properly and had to request repairs. They sent someone to our room promptly and it was resolved until the next morning when it again wouldn't flush. We requested and were given another room. This new room waspretty much just like the other, except the toilet worked correctly. We went out for the day and put the do not disturb sign on the door because we did not want or need anything. Came back 5 hours later to find our room had been serviced and the toilet would not stop running. We checked to see if it could be jiggled or adjusted and couldn't fix it, so as we left for dinner we requested repair and reported the room was serviced unexpectedly. When we returned the toilet was repaired. Around 8 pm we heard a crying infant arrive next door and could hear this over the volume of our tv. The baby finally went quiet just before 10 p.m. and then we were awakened with crying at 2:30 and 5:40 a.m. the walls between our room and the next were either paper thin or that little fellow has a megaphone... Overall a nice place but there is room for improvements and I don't expect to deal with these issues when I am paying almost $200 per night to stay somewhere.

Property needs some updating. While fairly clean compared to another one we stayed at in Helen, GA it was dated and not as nice. Bathrooms need higher toilets and ventilation. Room needs updated charging ports and TV’s that can access streaming apps, as well as, better lighting. Overall a decent place for a short stay.

The room was clean. It was very quiet. The staff was very knowledgeable and quite nice. It was a neat area, with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Right off the interstate and greeted by friendly staff who provided a quick check-in.

Property was well maintained. Front desk associate provided excellent customer services. I forgot his name but not the service. He worked the morning shift.

The problems we encountered were, the rest room toilet in the room was clogged when we finally got to the room after going to get a meal, and the front desk gave us a plunger to fix the clog!!! We had not used the rest room yet! The was a man in one of the rooms that just kept coughing and throwing up all night! It really felt like he had Covid or something! Anyway, the cleaning staff the next morning just kept slamming rooms doors starting around 7 or 8 on the morning, no taking into consideration, that there still may be guests sleeping! Terrible experience, and I stay at Holiday inn express always when I go out of town!

Hotel did not have my Expedia Reservation? What’s up with that. I don’t expect a double charge on my credit card.

Check in was very easy. Traveon was welcoming and thorough and the night manager, Joey, helped me print an important document I needed at 12:45sm. Good service staff.

I called the number given on Expedia prior to arriving to the property and asked if I could have early check in, in which I was told yes. I arrive to the property and the front desk employee told me I could not get early check in and she hadn’t spoke to me so I then realize I spoke to corporate Holiday Inn earlier. The main office called and asked the hotel if they had early check in but never gave the hotel my name so when I arrived all the rooms for early check in were gone. My family and I had to get dressed in the lobby’s bathroom and was late for an event due to the misinformation. The main office needs to communicate specifics to the property or give a direct number to the property so this confusion doesn’t happen in the future.

Pros:Cleanliness of the room and convenience of areas to shop. Cons: Unstaffed lobby. When we checked in there was 2 staff members to greet us and check us in. When we came back down to go to our event downtown, we noticed no lobby staff. When we returned from our event no lobby staff. When we came down the next morning for breakfast no lobby staff. At checkout again there was no lobby staff. The check out process consisted of a bucket in which the guests were to place their keycards in, in hopes you get checked out in time. This was worrisome for me as I’d prefer to check out with a staff member and acquire my recipe for my stay. All was good in the end though as we were checked out without any additional issues and/or charges. ALSO, on a much bigger note and why missing front staff is an issue. My husband had cereal from the included breakfast buffet. This is something he has often at every Holiday Inn we stay at. This particular stay he became ill from the milk. He mentioned it tasted a bit off, but the milk was in date. No sooner than he finished the bowl of cereal the bathroom called his name. There was no staff that we could find to inform them of the incident so we proceeded to leave our keycard in the bucket and leave.

Finn was very gracious and helpful. Room comfortable and nice breakfast.

Great location close to I-20, a couple of grocery stores, and a ton of places to eat. If you are traveling through Atlanta coming from the west, Douglasville is a great place for an overnight stop. Wide variety of choices at breakfast.

This property is conveniently located to Atlanta but without the dreaded "hustle and bustle" traffic. A lot of shopping and restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed our room. It was clean, and the location is convenient for dining, shopping, and night life. The staff is friendly and nice, and the morning breakfast is good. The location is also a safe place to stay and feel comfortable.

Great staff! Large group staying there and some pot smoking and dice gambling going on in parking lot when we returned from a concert around 12:30 am

Very clean, front desk very pleasant and the breakfast was great!! A little expensive for its as a couple in our 70’s but needed on that side of Atlanta. Could on afford to stay one night instead of two

Free breakfast is always a plus for me, but as usual, my stay at Holiday Inn Express is always a pleasant stay.

I stay at this hotel several times a year. Everytime I have been there, I have observed staff eating the food and drinking the coffee for guests. The food runs out and guests dont get food or coffee because the staff èaþs

This was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. The breakfast had a wide choice of breakfast foods. The bed was comfortable.
