Overall stay wasn’t bad. Room was pretty decent for price with a view of city. Bathroom wasn’t really up to date but for the price I can’t complain. Valet was my only “issue” with the hotel (and it wasn’t really a huge deal). Valet parking is $75 a night, they have self parking but it’s a little far especially for the winter months. Granted, it was Valentine’s Day but that night we had to wait 45 minutes for our vehicle causing us to almost miss our reservations (they tell you call from your room 25 min ahead of time which we did and still had to wait). The next morning when leaving we also had to wait another hour for our vehicle. I normally wouldn’t complain but for $75 a night I thought I would get better service. Other than that my stay was fine! Would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable stay in Chicago. I just maybe would uber or find some self parking!

Very clean hotel. Room was standard size but wasn't tiny. Check in and out was easy. They also gave us vouchers to use in their bar. But the bar was staffed poorly, so trying to flag someone down to even get a drink order in would take a long time (we gave up twice and on the 3rd time coming back from our day, we were finally able to get serviced). Would stay here again.

Okay so as far as location in proximity to where we were going for concert was great, and their ability to check us in early was awesome, that’s about where all the good ends. They have zero vending machines in the building, and charge you 2 dollars for a bottle of water at the front desk… their onsite bar is only open 4-12 which totally makes zero sense if their “destination fee” is to be of use to absolutely anyone. hey, we have a market downstairs that you can get to if you go on a trip like the opening credits on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Oh by the way, you can’t get back to the hotel because the door you went out will lock beyond the posted hours. You have to go out in the rain and walk around the building to get back into the lobby. Don’t expect your room to be of any count either, every fixture in the room was loose including the bathroom and shower faucets (I took video for proof). There was damage to the walls, and damage to the chest of drawers that made the place feel very cheap. Comfort was also lacking unless you like your mattress with the firmness of a stone. They didn’t ask how our stay was upon checkout either. Valet also initially lost our tag and had to call our room to see what it was we drove.

Perfect 1 nighter in the city to stay and walk to a show. Less than a half mile walk to our theatre. The area felt very safe to walk around at night. Great location next to the River Walk and many restaurants. Parking with valet costs $78 per night with in/out privileges or there is a self park garage a couple blocks away for $55 / 24 hours. The rooms are good sized and nice although the 2 beds are doubles not queen sized. The fan in the bathroom runs constantly with no switch. The hallways are dark and moody with cool wallpaper. The gym is in the basement and tiny. The $15 resort fee is reasonable for your wifi and credits to the lobby bar. Overall, I would stay there again.

Our original check in time was supposed to be 4pm. We were a couple hours early, not expecting to get in but just to drop our bags off and come back. Since it was ready early we got into our room and quickly realized why it got done sooner than expected. The toilet seat had urine and pubic hair on it and the pillow coverings were obviously not washed. I should have brought it to their attention but instead just cleaned it ourselves. I did call for new pillow cases and after 20 minutes or so finally brought them up and changed them.

I really enjoyed my spacious room, although I could tell the room hadn't been updated in a while. Torn curtains, spots on the carpet, drawers that were broken. These didn't bother me much, but I can see how these cosmetic issues could be bothersome for others. The cleanliness was perfect when I checked in, no stains anywhere, fresh sheets and everything seemled newly wiped down. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the blackout curtains, I was able to sleep well. I was worried about noise from The House of Blues being so close, but you could only hear the bass occasionally, it never disruppted my sleep. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The bartender gave recommendations, and the in room dining server was incredibly friendly, and personable.

The location was great, but the room itself was a letdown. We found a very visible brown stain on our sheets with oily marks around it—super gross. It was clear the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There were also old wine stains on the table and the shower barely worked. Half the water came out of the tub spout because the nozzle was corroded and wouldn’t go all the way up to get the full water pressure to the shower head. Disappointing room overall. The best thing about this hotel is the location.

The room is pretty spacious and clean. I was satisfied. The only negative things that stuck out - the mattress is very firm which I didn't like. Also we called to request more pillows, the front desk person said they would be sent right up but no one ever came to the door.

Our reservation was canceled via email right before check in time after we had already traveled to the city. The staff that we spoke to said they canceled it because they were overbooked and they didn’t have to help us find other accommodations, and that they would be offering no solutions. We were treated very rudely. It was a very busy weekend and we were not able to find another place to stay at the last minute.

We had an amazing experience. Honestly, there is not one single thing I can complain about. However, the thing that made the biggest difference to me was how kind and helpful the staff was. They were all very accommodating, caring, and always ready to help with anything, big or small. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in Chicago!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel and hotel manager. The Manager was beyond rude and unprofessional. My friends and I booked two rooms separately months before our scheduled hotel date that we were planning on staying. We received confirmation right away after purchasing the hotel room and another confirmation two days before. We arrived at the hotel early around 3pm to see if we could check in. We were both told that our rooms were not ready and to come back at 4. When we came back at 4 the manager told us that due to the recent Internet shortage our rooms were canceled by mistake and they no longer have any available rooms. We were left completely stranded. The manager refused to help us attempt to find another hotel room anywhere and did not offer any compensation for future stays or anything at all for the inconvenience. All hotels in the surrounding area were sold out so we were forced to drive the 1.5 hour drive home instead of enjoying our night downtown. I would recommend staying away from this hotel. I would give zero stars if I could.

We were charged a large fee that was meant for another room, when we noticed the charge, called the front desk, they apologized saying they saw where the mistake was made and would fix the issue. 5 days later noticed the pending charge actually went through, how is this even possible? What if that was the last money we had on our card i mean worse things have happened yet it was a huge deal to me that it even happened then was promised to be fixed and never was.

When getting keys from the front desk, they helped us with putting in a breakfast room service order and listing out the amenities of the hotel. We had a great view of the river and we utilized the walkable distance to the L (train) throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again! Very clean and great service.

We were very happy with this hotel. Love that it's right in the middle of everything on State Street like the theaters and it's just a 7 minute brisk walk to Millennium Park and Michigan Avenue. The beds are very comfortable and warm and the bathroom has great water pressure. The bar food is FANTASTIC. Try the grilled cheese, you won't be disappointed. And the bartenders are friendly and well-trained.

Nice hotel in a central location and good value for money. Close to miracle mile shopping and river walks. We ate in Yolk for Breakfast (accessible from the lobby) each morning which was very good. Would stay here again when visiting Chicago.
