Parking situation is a disaster. We selected this hotel, in part, because the listing specifically stated that parking was on site. The parking is very expensive, not completely unexpected for a downtown hotel, but we had to pay the same parking rate of about $45 for the high while parking several blocks over, at a different hotel and dragging luggage through dark, dirty city streets. One of us stayed in the hotel lobby with some of the luggage while the other parked the car and dragged the rest of it. 25 minutes wasted, and we felt misled by the hotel listing. The only "on site" parking here is for small cars which arrive early... it fills up, and my average-sized sedan would not fit.

the people at the front desk were very nice. the rooms were clean and beds comfortable. they do have parking available right behind the hotel for $40 that covers you until check out but we did pay for longer parking to walk around after check out and that was around $67. they also charge a deposit of $50 per night so make sure to budget if you book a few nights! i would definitely stay here again.

This was a good property to stay at near Canal Street. It is loud though. People party all night and you will hear it. The property does NOT have a gym. I was disappointed because Expedia posted a gym as an amenity. Staff was nice, and the breakfast was minimum but it was enough.

Hate to say it, but if you’re sensitive mold be sure to check your room. Ours had water damage on the ceiling, but I couldn’t smell anything past the floor cleaner (floors were super sticky) so I thought I was ok. I’m super sensitive to mold, and am currently sick with a sinus infection because of it. I should have known better, and requested a different room. The jetted tub was nice while it lasted. Breakfast was a little sad.

First impression, front desk male staff not friendly loved his phone. Not interested in assisting. Checked in to room, first impression, room looked inviting, Ladies wet panties fell on the floor off the bathtub, not ours. Coffee pot set on dresser not plugged in and no plug in on that wall. Fridge did not work, had to replace it. The floor was filthy, wiped it with a damp cloth, came up dark gray. Made us wonder when was it last cleaned? Manager Ray was apologetic he offered to take care of our Uber to the airport. All but the check in staff person were very good. Of course we couldn’t go anywhere else as we paid up front.

The room has charm to it. My concerns it was not clean. No one wants to shower in water that doesn’t drain. The floors wasn’t clean, dirt everywhere as if no one sweeps in a while. A entire fingerprint was on the cabinet door. The toilet run constantly, had to constantly adjust the handle to make it stop. The location is great, front desk personnel were always pleasant.

Staff were very helpful, and accommodated our requests re storage of luggage. Our room was lovely, although slightly on the smaller side, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. There was plenty of variety at breakfast. The interior design really stood out - a heritage look, with a modern twist. The location for this hotel was FANTASTIC! It was very close to everywhere we wanted to go (within easy walking distance), but just far enough away from some of the less desirable areas. We would definitely stay here again.

This is in a prime location. I don't spend time in hotel rooms so not having a window was just fine for me (makes it extra dark, which is a perk, but be forewarned). The line at reception can get ridiculous so plan ahead if you are in a rush (e.g., my hotel card got deactivated and it took 20 min and having to ask a bystander if there was another way to get help to enter my room!). Otherwise, a nice, small hotel that I would consider again

Mixed Experience – Depends on the Room You Get I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel in New Orleans while attending a work conference, and unfortunately, my experience was quite mixed. We had originally booked one of the interior rooms with a jacuzzi bath (the ones without windows), and I would strongly advise against booking these. The room felt grungy and stuffy, and we encountered multiple maintenance issues right from the start — the jacuzzi bath didn’t work, the tub wouldn’t drain, the fridge was leaking, and the work desk was nearly falling apart. On top of that, the TV didn’t work and was stuck in French with no way to change the language or reset it. We reported everything to the front desk, but the staff member on duty seemed dismissive and uninterested. She said she’d pass the issues along to maintenance, but when we returned later that evening, nothing had been addressed. When we followed up again, she appeared to have no memory of our prior conversation. On a third attempt, a different staff member was at the desk and the manager happened to overhear the conversation — he thankfully stepped in and moved us to a different room. The new room was a corner suite with windows, and it was a huge improvement — far more inviting, comfortable, and clean. However, there were still a few drawbacks. The stay was decent. Location is amazing but the room needs better upkeep. The remote was broken, one of the rollable wooden table legs was splinting, the A/C was horrible (couldn't cool the room below probably 75°), and there was no soap, lotion, shampoo, etc in the bathroom. Otherwise things were good. Breakfast was great and the hotel in general was clean and comfortable.

Check in went fine. Young lady working desk was not very inviting. Didn’t greet us. The hotel lobby was clean as was the breakfast area. Average breakfast. Room was average. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom floor was not clean. There is no heat at this hotel! It was in the 40s at night and our room stayed cold. We asked the front desk staff twice to have maintenance check our heat. They never did and just said that they’ve had complaints about their lack of heat before. Never offered us another room or anything. We asked for extra blankets 3 different times before we got them. Staff service was horrible. The hotel is conveniently located off of canal street and is walking distance to everything. The price is affordable for the area. That’s the only positive things I can say about our stay.

Older building, recently remodeled, good craftsmanship on the bathroom reno, wallpaper, flooring, etc. Exposed brick walls on 2 sides. Blackout curtains didn't close all the way because a ceiling sprinkler blocked the center. We used some rubber bands. Nice to have Keurig coffee machine, mini fridge and a safe in the room, no microwave but there is one in the breakfast area available to all. Didn't need much in the way of services but staff was friendly and held luggage for a few hours after checkout. We were in room 501, next to a utility closet, and the door did a lot of slamming in the morning, but that was the only annoyance. Window overlooked a brick wall but that was probably good, noise level was low and I didn't hear my neighbors either. Nice location close to Harrah's casino and the streetcars on Canal and St. Charles. Walkable to Bourbon St. Free breakfast was a plus if you can get up by 9 am or 10 am on weekends. The eggs and sausage were pretty industrial, bagels and yogurt machine were great, pancake making machine was cool to watch but they were pretty rubbery, but the fancy cappuccino machine was the star of the show, and thankfully available after breakfast hours.

The staff was incredible friendly and helpful when it came to suggestions. They were able to accommodate an earlier check in for us. The breakfast was delicious and again staff were very outgoing! Loved this location for it's ease of walking to anywhere you wanted to go. Will definitely stay again when we come back to the Big Easy and highly recommend!

Terrible experience – Pet owners, beware of hidden charges and rude management We had a very disappointing stay at the Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel in New Orleans. We booked through Expedia, where the pet policy is clearly stated: $40 per night with a maximum of $100. However, when we arrived, we were overcharged, and the manager, Raynard Jeaneau, flat-out refused to honor the posted policy. When I politely pointed out the discrepancy and asked him to comply with the Expedia listing, his response was shockingly rude. He said, “Do you want to stay with us or not?” – as if we were doing him a favor by staying there. This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is unacceptable, especially from someone in a managerial position. We felt misled and taken advantage of. The hotel’s refusal to stand by its own advertised terms is not only unethical, it’s just bad business. The hotel itself was nothing special, but the way we were treated made this stay especially unpleasant. If you’re traveling with a pet, think twice before booking here. There’s a real risk you’ll be overcharged and spoken to with total disregard by management. We will never return – and we recommend others steer clear too.

There was a wasp in our room, it came out between the pillows and stung my boyfriend. I called the front desk, explained the situation, and the lady who answered the phone was like "what do you want me to do" ? I said I'd like a different room because who knows if there are more wasps. I'd also like to borrow the first aid kit. She said "okay you'll have to come downstairs to get the room key. I went to the front desk and the other lady at the front desk also had an attitude like I'm bothering them, she was very indifferent and didn't want to help at all. She gave me the room key and then stared at me wanting me to leave. I had to ask for the first aid kit again. She finally brought the kit to me and all it had in there were bandaids.... Terrible customer service, definitely would not recommend.

Upon checking in , I entered into the room and found someones luggage. I immediately called down to guest services and the attendant came and retrieved the luggage and assured me that i was safe in my room. About 15 minutes later, a young man entered my room with a key and asked why was I in his room? Eventually the situation was corrected. Ray was one of the attendants and he was very helpful the next day.

The staff was the best part of my visit! I am NOT a Best Western fan. However, my trip was booked at the last minute. Due to the number of conferences and other activities happening in New Orleans at the time, hotel availability was limited. I picked the Best Western St. Christopher because it was conveniently located within steps of my conference, the hotel offered free breakfast, and because of the price. I must say that I was very impressed—especially with the staff. During my five nights and four days stay, I only saw four people working at the front desk (Manager Ray, Front Desk Staff Members Gianna and Akeyla, and the Bellhop Jeffery). When I tell you these four people ran that hotel like a well-oiled machine! They were so professional, courteous, and helpful. For many years, I worked for one of America’s top retail chains as a customer service manager, so I recognize great customer service when I see it. Never have I experienced a hotel staff that delivered the level of customer service that this team offered. I would have tipped Ray, Gianna, Akeyla, and Jeffery $1M a piece if I could. They are definitely worth their weight in gold, and I hope the company sees that in them. As mentioned earlier, I was not a Best Western fan, but I am now! The staff has converted me! I am already looking forward to staying at the Best Western St. Christopher next year!

From the time we entered the hotel doors we were greeted with nothing but kindness from all staff members. The room was clean and the view was lovely. The hotel is walkindlg distance to Canal, Bourbon and royal street. Next door is a nice breakfast called Ruby Slippers and around the corner is another Cafe. Right up the street is a bar tucked in the corner called little bar for a night cap! Overall the hotel is in a great location and i would definitely book with there again.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and friendly! Room was clean and was within walking distance of the quarter. The trolley was extremely close by so getting around other parts of the city was easy. We will definitely consider staying here again if we return to NOLA!

Loved this hotel! Its absolutely gorgeous! The staff was nice. My only problem was the limited breakfast but this was due to their kitchen renovations happening in June and July of this year (2023). They did notify me right after i booked but when i did book it was too late for me to cancel. The shower spout and shower head were a little rusty and are almost detached from the wall but the water got sooooo hot! It felt amazing! Coming from Alabama, i was perplexed that parking was expensive but after visiting NOLA and understanding you literally have to pay to park almost anywhere, i understand and this was not a dealbreaker with this hotel. The hotel is located conveniently, therefore everything was so close by so we did a lot of walking. If you want to go on the swamp tours, most offer pickup. Overall, i enjoyed my stay and would definitely return!
