Always a great place to stay. Great pool, hot tub and sauna. Staff was very helpful and friendly and let us check out late after having to take one of our kids to urgent care the day of checkout. Took about of stress off our plate.

We loved the view from our room. The pool,hot tub and sauna was great 👍. Great breakfast choices better than most. Especially with Jimmy Dean sandwiches. The only downside about our stay was no elevator when we were on the second floor. We both have back problems so walking the stairs was a bummer 😕.

Very friendly staff at check in. Room was comfortable and clean. Air worked and kept the room ant a comfortable temperature. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Laundry facility was a nice bonus and clean. Breakfast was a great start to the day.

Clean and spatious pool area eith hot tub and sauna. Two large outdoor decks to relax and enjoy the waterfront views. On major paved pathway for walking and biking. Plents of restaurants and shoping within walking distance. Ample well lit parking. Very nice breakfast.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a very nice amenity. Very close to downtown. The pool and hot tub were nice. No elevator. Our car did get stuck in the side parking lot because it wasn't plowed. If you go there in the winter time, make sure you have a 4 wheel drive. We would stay there again.

Checked in, went to room. No lights in room. Everything had been unplugged as I did my research before calling front desk. Then go to take a shower only to find hair on the wall and on the drain.

Good aspects of this hotel are: Great location. Nice view if you get a room facing Lake Portage Walk or Bike to town right behind the hotel. Staff was friendly. Cons: Room had a musty odor. There was popcorn from a previous guest on the floor as well other items. There was a small amount of hair from a previous guest in the sink. Clearly housekeeping did not do their job properly.

This was the nicest Super 8 we've ever stayed at. The building was pristine, the rooms were very nice, and there was an awesome breakfast and a nice dining room in which to eat it. The location was the best, being right on the river with outdoor seating available with a great view. Also very near to a very walkable downtown with good places to eat.

Older building but very well kept. Newer stuff inside. Great air conditioner, pool, bathroom, and the guest laundry is really nice! $5 to do a load in new washer and dryers. I would stay here again if I was in the area. Pro tip. Book a room with a view.

Nice view of the waterway with a paved path leading a few blocks to the downtown area. Very nice setting. I was disappointed to find no USB charge ports in the room but fortunately I had chargers and there were available outlets. Had a non-functional card reader on the room door at checkin and needed to make two additional trips to the front desk to try to resolve it. The person staffing the front was helpful and pleasant though and she eventually sorted it out.

Hotel was very clean! Rooms were comfortable but a little outdated. This all being said, we had a wonderful stay! Great location, in walking distance to the college and to downtown. Beautiful views!

The hotel was great, perfect location close to everything in Houghton. Great view of the canal and Hancock on the other side. The room was spacious, although the bathroom was TINY - but the rest of the stay made up for that one inconvenience.

Great location. All is basic level amenities. The carpet in my room really could be replaced and the whole place could use an update. But the staff was terrific and the location was handy to all the places I needed to be. It was nicely quiet at all times.

We have stayed at the Super 8 many times in the past. This stay, by far, was the worst. Check in and check out did not offer as much as a smile. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming.

Overall this is a good hotel. Beware that there is NO elevator. I have knee issues and our room was on the 2nd floor. Had I known no elevator, I would have requested a first floor room. It was difficult to walk the stairs. No offer to help with our luggage up the stairs was given, we had to manage ourselves. That was disappointing.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. We like it's convenient location in the downtown area, on the canal. Just a gorgeous location. The staff is helpful and friendly, especially the breakfast person who made us feel very welcome.
