Roxy Hotel New York

Lovely place with great quiet A/C, live music downstairs but thankfully good sound proofing though there is a noise cancelling device in the room as well. Area around the hotel isnt very loud and walking distance to a lot of delicious options. Bar area has backgammon, chess and pool plus a theater downstairs. Highly recommend staying here as its worth the price.

Had a great time as always at the Roxy but both elevators were out of order for half my stay and then only one came on line. No accomodations were offered for this terrible inconvenience.

We tried to take out bicycles, but all four were broken. UNUSABLE. This was all of their bicycles. Front desk staff made no gesture in correcting this or suggesting a fix. The Peloton was calibrated to a cartoonish speed. On a positive note, the beds are ultra comfortable, room was fairly spacious by NYC standards. Cool programming offered, but it’s NYC, who stays in at their hotel at night?

Fantastic stay for music lovers! We loved the whole steampunk retro vibe of this hotel. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. We had a room on the second floor off the lounge and yes it was loud, but the noise was great music! We were warned before we made our reservation that you can hear the music in your room and we knew what to expect and really enjoyed the fantastic musicians! This hotel is also in a great neighborhood with easy access to the Tribeca Film Festival.

This hotel is in TriBeCa but on the edge of SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown - VERY CONVENIENT. Its within walking distance to the waterfront, several parks, the Brooklyn Bridge and all the shopping and restaurants in both TriBeCa and SoHo/NoLita. There is a jazz club, a restaurant, bar and coffee shop. They have valet parking.

The Roxy always provides a great stay. Friendly employees and a cool bar are a couple of the things we appreciate. Gym could be bigger/better but is adequate.

Room was dirty and someone’s prescription medication was left in our room!

The hotel was fine but nothing great. We got a room with blood on the sheets and we asked for a new duvet which we got and had to change ourselves. Then as we were changing them we realized the blood soaked down to the sheets. We called to ask for a new set of sheets and never got any. There was also what seemed to be blood strains in the hallway outside of the elevator. That said the location was great.

We arrived to the hotel early and checked our bags with the hotel staff. Upon returning to check into the room, the bags were returned to us minus one bag. We were told all the bags were returned although the number of bags we received vs the number of bags on the ticket did not match. After being persistent, we went down to the bag room and found the missing bag. The hotel room initially looked tidy but upon settling down we noticed lots of spider webs in the chandelier and corners of the room. I called down for mouth wash and was told I had to purchase the dental kit that was in the mini bar area. The mini bar and fridge was obnoxiously filled with products for purchase to the point where you couldn’t push anything to side. I’ve been at budget hotels that provide more complimentary items. The air conditioner worked very well but was very noisy. I woke up several times throughout the night when the air conditioner would turn on. The mattress felt like you were sinking down into it. Unfortunately, I prefer a medium firm mattress so I didn’t find comfort sleeping. The front desk provides complementary water bottles which is very helpful on hot summer days. On the day before checkout, I went to the front desk to ask for a cool bottle of water. The woman at the front desk loudly questioned if I was a guest at the hotel. She could have simply asked for my name a room number. Luxury price with poor customer service and care for guests. The hotel is centrally located

Location was great. Bands were great, noise cancelling in room was great, bed and pillows were comfortable. Textured wallpaper in our room needed to be dusted alllllll the way up to the ceiling. Cobwebs needed to be removed from ceiling. Bfast menu was $$$$. Bathroom had no fan and toilet was a scary LOUD flush.

Bathroom had mold growing on the tiles as well as dirty ice tongs from previous guests Water is luke warm at best

The Roxy has a great vibe and atmosphere. The bar and restaurant are fun but not too loud. Since we were going to a couple of Broadway plays, the location was a little inconvenient but probably would’ve been better had the weather not been rainy and chilly. Our room wasn’t the cleanest when we checked in - dusty and the floors weren’t clean - but the daily service was good. I would recommend staying here.

Nice large room, TERRIBLE LIGHTING!! It was either too bright or way to dim. Good luck putting make up in the bathroom!! Construction was going on directly across the street from my room- Started EARLY! For the price I paid I would have expected to at least be informed that it was happening. That said, the staff were all very nice and helpful. The fact that you can hear the Jazz music in virtually every room wasn't as loud as I thought and it ended around 11. But the screamers outside the bar were a bit much. I would probably stay there again especially if I got a higher floor- All in all I recommend!!

Coolest hotel in NYC in my opinion. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed here knowing full well of the live musical bands playing nightly, but stops around 10ish. If you’re here on business, I don’t recommend it. I loved coming back from dinner and having a drink with live music, then taking the elevator up to my room.

The hotel has live music in the atrium lobby until 10pm every night. It’s incredibly loud in the rooms. The listing says rooms are sound proof- they are not! (I lived in NYC for over 7 years and travel extensively and will say the noise is so excessive!) Not only do they misrepresent the noise but the rooms. A standard room on Hotels.com posting shows a different room than what they offer. All standard rooms are ADA compliant and the beds are smaller, the sink is a pedestal sink not one with counter space and a stand up shower that leaks into the room. The room was dated, dark and dusty. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for years and I’ve stayed in over 10 in the SoHo area in the past two years. Go elsewhere this one isn’t worth it.

Room was super noisy and the AC was really loud. I got a room that wasn't what I had booked and the water in the shower was either too cold or too hot.

Creative use of noise generating machine to minimize street noise and piano bar noise. Bed was super comfy. The bathroom needs updating.

The Roxy was our absolute favorite stay in NY to date! We were taken aback by the spacious hotel room and various activities the hotel offered. We loved the privacy of the soundproof room, and the ambient rain sounds you could adjust. We also loved being able to control the temperature and the fact it actually worked properly. The hotel seems to be located in a less crowded area, so we felt safe going in and out throughout our visit. Thank you for our favorite stay yet! :)

Delta stranded us at JFK w/o luggage for 2 nights, so I booked the Roxy online & cabbed into town. Hotel and staff were great - Zillah checked us in and gave us a glass of champagne & toiletries to get through our stay. Good dinner at the hotel restaurant and very good breakfast the next morning. Bought some clothing, ate at good restaurants staff recommended, walked lots, visited museums, slept well — excellent visit overall thanks to the Roxy!

Everything was great except service at the bar was painfully slow. We went 3 or 4 times over the weekend and it was awful. I’m not a complainer but this was terrible. Other than that hotel was great will be back!

I have stayed here many many times until a security manager was super rude and unprofessional to me while I was waiting in the lobby. So will not stay here again ever and I don’t recommend it.

Saint Nick is his name, upon arrival I was checked in by Nick. Wow he went above and beyond to make our stay simply perfect. From the glass of prosecco. To ambiance of this truly special place right over the bridge truly a great place to visit and revisit.

The man at the front desk when we checked in (approximately 6:30 PM) was curt and abrasive. Also, we are normally asked if we want a bottle of water or glass of prosecco but neither was offered, He was noticeably indifferent and not a good representative of your hotel.

My past 5 stays have been amazing. This time customer service left was not what it had been in the past. No grace, no smiles, no welcome back, no solution oriented. Just unnecessary hassles, delays and attitude.

Amazing property, great area - walking distance from SOHO and great restaurants and the staff was awesome. We would stay here again next time we visit NY.

The Roxy is a great choice because of location and cool factor. We enjoyed the nightly music and that it was close to 3 subway lines. I really appreciated the noise canceling in the room and the big windows with sunlight. Tribeca has its own charm and much more quiet than midtown.

This is a classy, well-kept hotel in one of the best areas of New York. The best part of the hotel is its location. Tribeca is nicer and quieter than Mid-town, and the area is so walkable. It is so easy to walk to Little Italy for dinner, or down to the Trade Center and Financial District. Subway stations are close if you want to travel further. There is a huge selection of bars and restaurants in the area, all very walkable. As for the hotel, it is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and prompt. There is a nice fitness center, and while the jazz can get a little loud there is a noise cancelling system in the rooms. Also, the parking garage is 3 blocks away, and with discounted parking its only $35 a night, not bad by Manhattan standards. This is my second stay at this hotel, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Whether you want to stay in and enjoy the entertainment at the Roxy, or venture out a little bit, you can't lose here. The only disappointment I had was the resort fees tacked on to my bill at the end. New York is expensive enough already.

Great location though we made the mistake of eating in one night - food was terrible - subpar.

My stay was unfortunately ruined by getting a bout of food poisoning after eating their oysters down in the main floor jazz lounge this week. Worst food poisoning I’ve had in a long time, highly recommend not eating here. The stay was okay. Best part about this hotel was the front desk concierge, they are super helpful and kind. Rooms are very loud and noise from the jazz bar travels into your room all night.

Staff and service were a bit spotty. TV didn't work, we called but no one came to fix it. Jazz brunch is amazing and overall it's a super cool place with tons of attention to detail. Wish the service were to match.

The Roxy Hotel has entertainment covered! Oyster Bar, coffee bar, full restaurant with an eclectic menu and comfortable sitting areas to enjoy live music. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed!
