For the prices, they skimp on perks. I reserved a king corner room, high floor. There was no drinking water in the room, the air conditioner kept turning off and the shower stopped up. I went to the cafe in the lobby and they wanted to charge over $8 for a bottle of Poland Spring! No way. They no longer offer room service. I could order a drop bag from the cafe but delivery doesn’t start until 11 am. Check out is at 11! Will not stay there again.

Hotel is conveniently located to Grand Central Station as well as Park Ave. It felt safe as it was guarded 24x7 with security guard and guard dog. My room was clean and I enjoyed the gym on premises.

Friendly front desk staff but the management was awful. Communication was awful. Valet pricing was not clear when we were told they had valet. FYI if you plan on using valet service, It is $100 per day. Another charge that was not communicated well was $40 per day room and destination charge. There are much better hotels in the area at the total price we ended up paying.

Comfy bed and terrific view from the 38th floor. Hotel is showing its age, however, the service from the staff is exceptional. Do bear in mind that a 'destination fee' or in other words a 'resort fee' is payable. It is mandatory and will set you back $35 (+ tax). The fee itself gives you $35 of value to use in the eateries in the hotel, but it won't stretch far. Buffet breakfast costs a whopping $50 + tax, service charge and gratuity...That's an expensive breakfast for a family of 4! ;-)

Views were incredible from the 33rd floor corner king! Service was great and everybody was very friendly. Only issue was our mini-fridge wasn't plugged in and didn't appear to be working. There was no ice machine either (which may just be an NYC thing). Would highly recommend though!

The views from the room were fantastic . The room was a little tired. Great sized room, good bathroom. Overall good. I was shocked at the $100 a day for any damage and $35 plus taxes non refundable but you could spend it in the hotel so not a total loss but it tied you to spend it at the hotel (which was expensive) no upfront warning so be aware before you book

The room was spectacular. I booked a corner room and the views were amazing. The website says there is a swimming pool which i was looking forward to use- it has been out of order for 8 YEARS- this "facility" needs twken off all websites as it is very misleading. The restaurant food was very good, the breakfast at €60+ was expensive for what you get. Its advertised at $48 and the hotel then adds tax and a tip taking it to $60. The biggest negative was the COMPULSORY $35 daily food and beverage charge. I go abroad to try new cultures,dining etc. Not get dictated too that i need to spend $35 daily in the hotel for food. I book a hotel to sleep in and maybe get breakfast. This additional charge was a total CON. To make matters worse the $35 then attracted 2 different taxes, plus tips so it was closer to $50 per day. Not everyone has an extra $250 to spend which they weren't expecting. The location was handy for grand central station, however a 20/25 minute walk from broadway/times square. The whole mandatory fees & excessive tipping left a bad taste in my mouth for the entire city. Everywhere just rips off the tourists to get every penny they can. Im a solo traveller and even when leaving a $15 tip, servers roll their eyes and then change the way they treat you. I was in canada the following week, and their attitude towards customers was so much better. Due the pool not working and hundreds of dollars in "food & beverage" credits I'd say a 7/10

I was not as impressed with the first room I was offered. Room 3236. It was dirty and dusty. Stains on the curtains and sofa and one on the bed. Furniture was outdated and really beat up. I asked front desk for a different room shortly after and got room 4037. The room was up to Hilton standards! I was impressed with the cleanliness and spectacular view of the city. This is what I paid for and expected from Hilton. I appreciated the staff and location and the amenities. I will gladly stay here again if I get a room similar to 4037 again

I was surprised how dirty it was in the room. Every piece of furniture was covered with a layer of dust, especially on top of that tiny refrigerator and the table next to it. Absolutely disgusting! On top of that, I only came to realization, when I got in the shower, that the body wash bottle fixed on the wall was completely empty! Overall, it was a disappointing experience!

I had high expectations for this hotel based on its website descriptions and a phone call with a representative, but unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. The primary reason for booking this hotel was the promised “lavish city view,” but what we received was far from it. The view was underwhelming, nothing like the beautifully curated photos online or the assurances given over the phone. It felt misleading and left us feeling like we had been given a less desirable room than what was advertised. However, the most disturbing part of our stay was the cleanliness—or lack thereof. Upon entering the room, the very first thing we saw was a roach. This was not only disgusting but completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that presents itself as a high-quality establishment. It immediately set a negative tone for the entire stay, making it hard to feel comfortable. Overall, this hotel did not live up to expectations in any way. Probably the worst Hilton I’ve been in for room cleanliness. Stains and holes in the carpet everywhere. Walls were not that clean. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Tv sitting in the desk so not much room to work.

For the price and added fee’s, you’d think the hotel rooms would be more updated & clean. We upgraded to a corner/king room with a view. The bathroom was actually really gross & not clean. There was residue on the toilet, rust/mold/dust in the bathtub. Shower heads also had black mold. Even the shower curtain was completely stained & disgusting. I have tons of pics to prove it.

The room was decnent and modern for the most part. Beautiful views, You can tell the bathrooms have been upgraded and updated. Very nice! They probably need new carpet in their rooms or at least the room we stayed in. Firestick did not work on the TV may have been a Wi-Fi issue. They told us we had a $35 a day credit to use for the bar and grill but they failed to tell us is that they’re going to charge us $35 a day whether we use it or not. So there was an issue with getting my deposit back to the hotel manager and he did the best he could met us in the middle. I suppose something is better than nothing. More than likely will not be staying at this hotel again, my wife and I have stayed in numerous hotels in New York and I would say the iberostar 70 Park Ave is the best one we’ve stayed in. We will be going back there on our next trips to New York

The suite was huge and the views weee gorgeous, but there were a number of things wrong with the suite that made me wonder who was in charge. The heating/cooling system in the main bedroom was completely broken; the control panels for the temperature and lights didn’t work at all (and somehow the temperature said it was set to 183 degrees but each room that had working air vents had its own temperature that we couldn’t seem to change), the door to the main bedroom wouldn’t latch, the sofa in the main room had tons of food debris under the seat cushions, the sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable, and one of the curtains in the main bedroom was coming off its hooks. The hotel refunded us a significant amount of money because all of this was bizarre and unacceptable.

I was disappointed. Hilton should pride themselves with excellence, however, they lost their passion for that. Outside of the paper thin walls, , which you can hear everyone and everything! The hotel was just average. For the money you spend, you would expect excellence.

Just wanted to write an amazing review for Nick, as well as the rest of the great staff at the Millennium Hilton UN Plaza. We recently stayed here for our marriage ceremony in Central Park and there was a mistake with the room we booked through Expedia. Nick went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay on our special trip. We didn’t get the exact room that we booked, but ended up with what I believe to have been an even better one because Nick. He was very kind, personable, as well as accommodating. We just wanted to give him and the rest of the staff including Yomi, Adina, all the bell men, and everyone else there a huge thank you! We highly recommend. The rooms we stayed in were very unique & extremely spacious for any city, but especially for NYC! We will definitely be back to stay again! We also loved and will miss their EDD dogs Maliki and the other cuties that we saw and got to say hi to everyday & night!

Check in was 4 pm with numerous people on line, only 2 staff. They were very rude. Gave wrong room, had to go down to get another room which was very small, dirty carpets. Charged us for something that we did not eat in the cafe. Had to make multiple calls to get the refund. Overall, will never stay in this hotel again.

Everything was excellent. The room, competitively priced, had amazing views. Chosen for being close to the UN and East River, it was just a short walk from stores and even Grand Central. 2-3 of the reception staff were completely miserable aholes... the others were absolutely delightful. There were a few issues with the keys, and we were moved for last couple nights because of a light that couldn't be fixed after 3 attempts. Most of the rest of the hotel staff were very good... it was only those 2-3 at reception that really have no business interacting with people - they were really awful. Paid way too much for our rooms to be treated with such disrespect by miserable nasty reception.

Went for 2 nights to see Broadway shows. Was hit with $100/night parking fee and mandatory $100/night fee for incidentals ($65/night would be reimbursed). If you think of visiting for shows, it's about a 30 minute walk to Times Square. The hotel itself is average, maybe a little dated, but the staff in attentive and informative.

The hotel itself was beautiful...however I do wish they were more upfront about certain fees. I was charged an extra $35 which then became a food credit. Not a big issue, but what happened soon after I used it was pretty ridiculous. I ended paying $42 for a burger and fries that got me very sick. I ordered a medium burger and went in the bathroom within 30 minutes. With a serious stomach issue. That persisted for a few hours. Also, the lady at the front desk wasn't very warm or friendly. Not an ideal situation for a weekend stay. I'm a fan of the Hilton hotels and this one was pretty disappointing. Do better please.

The hotel was great, we loved the huge comfy king size bed. The shower was great as well, plenty of water flow and convenient Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo and body wash. The staff were all pleasant. The one downside as you'd expect in NYC was the $35 meal credit scam, you're charged $35 which you can only get back as meal credit. Not the worst thing in the world until you find out that breakfast at the hotel restaurant is $60 PER PERSON.

I booked this for two friends and here is what they said: The location is good, we had a nice view of the river and the Empire state bldng. Do not eat at the cafe, nor at their restaurant. They are ridiculously overpriced plus you'll get tricked by the "credit" they'll give you to use for food. The place is quiet and a lot of guests you see in the hallways or elevators are nice, smile and say hi; it feels like you are in the country. Here is the tricky part. They gave us some credit that we could use for food at the cafe or the restaurant. The cafe and especially the restaurant, which has no windows or natural light is overpriced. When I got to the lady at the reception to do the checkout she said something like you still have some credit that you can use for breakfast at the cafe. Not only I had no more credit, at the end I ended up paying an extra $162 for mediocre coffees, cookies and burgers. It's New York. Go out and eat somewhere else.

We stayed for 4 nights, hotel was clean and welcoming! Only comment would be for there to be more options for food in the cafe and open a bit longer rather than 9-2. Was difficult to use the resort fee with little to no options. Overall a great stay.
