Nice hotel, the only concern is dining options at the hotel. Just a continental breakfast available for 20$. No bars or dining at hotel. Thankfully there are several dining options around. Early mornings not even coffee available.

Our stay was phenomenal. The hotel is in a very nice area, with everything you need nearby, and the atmosphere is peaceful, not the hustle and bustle of tourists in the city center. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. This will definitely be my hotel to return to in NYC. They offer breakfast and have a gym too.

Great location away from the business of Time Square. Great for exploring the whole of Manhattan- Subway connection on the next road for line 6 down for Financial District and Brooklyn bridge. Great restaurants in walking distance or short walk to Grand Central for more lines. We walked from the hotel to Hudson’s Yard down to Chelsea and back up in a day, a long way but totally doable. Staff were so friendly and helpful. From the reception team to the door staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Gym great, Would definitely recommend and no hesitation would book again.

Clean room, nice location and friendly staff. If you parking over night, the valet is best option to go. Nearby garages charge 60-70$ and valet price was not too off from that. However the convenience was priceless.

We'll be back to stay here again. The front desk staff and door man were wonderful! We weren't fans of the breakfast but everything else about the room and facilities were great. It is right by the police and fire station so we heard lots of sirens but it's New York so there's always going to be loud noises. We definitely recommend staying here.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was very clean, spacious, great location, and perfect for our family. We’ve stayed at other hotel in NYC and this one is by far our favorite. We will definitely use this hotel the next time we are in the city.

SUPER CLEAN!!!! Cleaning staff is so dedicated that they will clean your room any time you want up to 3pm. I have never seen cleaners this dedicated. I was extremely impressed with the cleaning and hospitality. The laundry room is clean and & bright, although one of the washing machines wasn't working, several others were. This was my seconds stay & would definitely return again. Romeo, who greets guests, is a gem!

Room well designed but, night stand drawer handle coming apart and closed loudly with a slam. Lamp shades need dusting. Bathroom clean, but shower head was dusty and mold in the ceiling above the bath tub/ shower. Other than that, hotel and room overall was clean.

Overnight desk clerk was rude when I called up to complain about there being either wine stains or blood on our sheets on both beds and on the wall. She made it seem as if I was lying and I gladly told her to come up or send someone up to see for themselves which she did and they verified. Morning manager was much nicer and accommodating.

I was surprised to see bed bugs .. I have told the front desk manager and she was very rude to me about that I wise not happy about the experience I had .. haven’t been in NY in years and that’s not what I was expecting.. my kids were very disappointed.. never again in that hotel…

I was really worried about this hotel having read some bad reviews just before we came but needn't have been. Hotel was excellent staff amazing and spotlessly clean. Brilliant location too and very safe area to walk and commute. Lots of room in junior apartment with separate kitchen area

Amazing location close to Rockefeller Center and the midtown holiday festivities! Comfortable clean lobby. We stayed in the two queen bed suite and it was a huge space with a kitchenette and a pull out bed as well. Will be staying here for our next NYC trip too!

The location is great however our room faced the street that meant we heard every siren, every horn, every car engine all night long. Our mattress was horrible, sank in the middle and felt every coil on our back. When we asked for a different mattress we were told there weren’t any available yet they said we could pack all of our stuff up and switch rooms. How they couldn’t switch mattresses with an empty room is beyond me. Also we were told we had a $10 credit to use at a snack station adjacent to the front desk. That would’ve been nice if there were actually snacks…all that was there were a couple of pretzels bags and a bag of Doritos and a Red Bull. It’s not like we got those $10 back yet there was nothing to use those $10 on. I would’ve expressed my opinion of the room at checkout however the person at the front desk didn’t even look at us or ask us about our stay. Just printed our receipt and not even a goodbye. Would NOT stay here again.

Beautiful property, biggest plus was the large junior apartments rooms. Plenty of room for 4-5 people. On the down side I do not think the facility has air conditioning- we were hot most nights & slept with the windows open which made it loud. Additionally- the warm for a shower is lukewarm at best.

The hotel was great, except that our room had the heater on and there was no way to shut it off. Woke up at 3am in a sweat bc the temperature had been raised to 80 degrees. Went down to the lobby and had a maintenance staff some up but when he opened the AC system, he said the function to turn it off was broken. Had to shut the whole system off and open window. Nobody from the hotel contacted us the next day to resolve the issue.

Room was clean and location was great. Two reasons I cannot give this resort a 5 star rating but really wish I could… the beds and pillows weren’t the most comfortable. And the road noise was loud at night. A police and fire substation is one street down so you can hear the sirens and horns from the street. I’ve stayed at hotels with sound proof glass. The service desk and doorman were amazing! And I would recommend this hotel, just note the noise if you a light sleeper.

What made our stay at The Fifty Sonesta Hotel was the service. The doorman, Romeo, would recognize us and always had a warm greeting. The housekeeping crew kept our room looking nice and were always on hand asking if we needed anything. The front desk staff went out of their way to help us maneuver transportation and places to visit. We will definitely be back!

Great location. However, extremely noisy. We stayed on 3rd floor facing front of hotel for our last night in NY with the family. We had stayed just 2 blocks over for the previous 5 nights with NO issues. For this spot, I couldn't sleep until 3 am. Garbage trucks at 12am - 2am?? The trucks would stay at the spot with engines on for 20 minutes at a time. You could hear everything. granted this is NYC, however, we stayed just 2 blocks away at a Mariott Residence inn and didn't hear a single noise in the middle of the night. One of the female front desk staff was extremely rude. Others were kind.

The stay itself was good although they do tell you at the front when you first check in there is a security fee to be paid and it will be refunded after check out. They said 1 week after that week it changed to 30 days. Here we are 30 days later and they say they don’t refund that charge. Very upsetting as I was planning on coming back within the next month but will now be going somewhere else. The person on the phone was extremely rude while trying to ask about this issue

Book this hotel! You will not be disappointed! We stayed here and could not stop talking about our amazing experience! Meeting Romeo at our car to getting excellent customer service from the manager… we were not disappointed. This hotel feels like you are staying at the Ritz Carlton with customer service. The room was super spacious and came with a kitchenette. The location was perfect! Fast walk to the subway and many great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. Excellent!!

We loved the location and its convenience to two subway stations and within walking distance to Rockefeller Center. Our room was actually very quiet and we heard no street noise unless it was a fire truck. The doorman, Romeo, was fantastic! Made us feel like home our entire trip! He was so helpful when we asked for suggestions throughout our trip!

Property is located in a good area. Many food options within a short walking distance and close to the subway. My biggest complaint is the noise level. We were on the 9th floor for 5 nights. Felt like we were sleeping on the street. We had a noise machine on high and the ac on constant flow and still didn’t drown out the noise. Garbage trucks passing at 1am and fire trucks and police sirens, we heard it all. I picked this property bc it was in Midcity and it had double queen beds to accommodate my family of 4. I wouldn’t stay here again bc of the noise.

An excellent location in NYC within walking distance of places such as Central Park and Rockefeller. It is also very near the subway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were 5 of us staying in a suite and with the fold out bed and put up bed there was still plenty of space! The kitchen has two fridges and was very useful. The balcony gave us extra space and it was great to sit out early morning and late evening. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to New York City.

Great hotel! Perfect for our family of three. They upgraded us to a 1-bedroom suite which was perfect. Hotel offers $10 credit from their pantry every day. I would not say the front desk personnel was very friendly, but the doorman was helpful and cordial. I would definitely stay here again- it was reasonably priced for all the accommodations.

Location is great. Staff were friendly especially the doormen. Rooms were clean and a very good size especially for NY. The only complaint I have is that I wasn’t told about the $10 daily allotment for snacks/drinks when I checked in. I extended my trip and the only reason I found out about this was because they told my friends who were also staying there. So basically I missed out on the snacks and beverages the first 4 days and the front desk staff didn’t seem to care
