About the equivalent of a $130/night hotel elsewhere. Small and crowded for the price. No pool, tho' we expected that. Cheap Starbucks coffee. No complimentary breakfast: dining room runs $30 for 2 fried eggs or $17 for a bowl of oatmeal and up. Small TV, no guide: you scroll through every channel to find something to watch. Long waits for the elevator: If you're on one of the lower floors you’re better off getting on when it’s going up and waiting for it to go down again, as it’s always filled to capacity by the time it gets down to the 15th floor. Room was clean, but there were a couple of tiny bloodstains on the sheet. No freezer, just a drink refrigerator. No microwave. If you want a view be sure to request a room on the front of the building. Beware: the price quoted on Hotels.com does not include a $33/night resort fee. A large icon states “What you see is what you pay!” but that's NOT true. The confirmation email mentions the resort fee, but don’t be fooled by the line “We have included all charges provided to us by the property,” which does NOT mean that you already the resort fee. What it does have is location. Close to Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, Carnegie Hall, MoMA, lots of restaurants, delis, &c. North/south subway stations are inconvenient but within walking distance. If you want an acceptable hotel in a good midtown location, it’s not a bad option. Problem with this hotel are the lifts , they are very slow and not uncommon to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a lift to arrive. As a consequence I would not stay there again, yet everything else about this hotel fine

I have stayed at Warwick often the years. Not what it was prior to Covid 19. No more room service. The great breakfast buffet (once the best in NY) is gone. Randolphs not open for late lunch. It has the history & location and, good staff, but it is just not the same place it once was.

Elevators are inadequate for the size of the facility. Had to take stairs or the service elevator every morning. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Will stay elsewhere next visit.

It's a good hotel, and we had a good stay, but I was annoyed to find out when we checked in that there would be a $35 per night facility fee, which should have been built into the price... Then one night I saw a cockroach in our room, which wasn't great... Great location though, and we had a good stay overall.

Hotel is great, located perfectly in Midtown, close walking distance to the park. Lots of shopping, and 30 rock right around the corner, 7th ave, etc. Elevators are horrible in the mornings, good tip is to take the service elevators. We discovered some “black mould” on our shower head and told front desk, they said they would tell housekeeping.. when we got back room was made up but mould was still there, I could wipe it with a towel my self so I doubt housekeeping even got the message or whatever… But all in all a good enough hotel, good location and friendly staff, good subway connections nearby.

I am not sure how this hotel had a guest rating of 9! Checked in and the room had a horrible odor. No one answers the phone. Went to front desk and they said they would send someone to spray. No one came. The odor was so bad, I couldn’t sleep and got physically ill! Next morning I called housekeeping and a very nice man came and sprayed the room. When I returned several hours later, the room still stunk of an unbearable odor. Can you imagine trying to sleep with stench! For my 2nd night, they moved my room. Doesn’t change the fact that I paid for the first night in unacceptable conditions and they refused to refund me for the first night. Hotel staff was friendly but management obviously doesn’t truly care to make things right. Location is good and room size is nice for NY. Front desk staff, bell desk, door man all nice but I would never return to these unsanitary conditions! Hotel management thinks this is acceptable? Horrible customer care!

The first room air conditioner had leaked all over the carpet and resulted in my daughter’s duffel bag and contents getting soaked. Had to go buy her some new stuff to wear. The bathroom ceiling had some ? Mold spots or something. There was hair in the tub. Found it odd there was shower gel and conditioner but no shampoo in the bathroom. They moved us two days in and the new room was spacious but smelled like mildew,damp. Opened the shower door and an awful sewage smell came from it. The location was great and the staff was amazing.

I did so much research in preparation for my trip to NYC with my daughter. I couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay at the Warwick! The location was ideal, very walkable to Central Park South, Times Square, Broadway Shows, and 5th Avenue shopping. The hotel is stunning, the room was impeccably clean and the service was outstanding. The room has a mini fridge and a coffee machine that uses pods that they provide. There is a small market a few steps away and a great liquor store just around the corner. We absolutely loved our time there and cant wait to return!!

We reserve this property for one night. It was rated very well, so I was expecting a decent clean functional room. The staff were very friendly all of them. The location is good also. The rooms are very old and you can tell there’s been no remodeling for a long time. They also stank. The air conditioning wasn’t running when we got in the room and it’s smelled very old musty and of mildew. There might’ve been mold in there as well as it felt like it. I left the room with a bad cough. I would not recommend this place and would not stay there again.

Wonderful location and beautiful that so much history is kept alive in the decor and vibe of this hotel. Staff was overall accommodating and helpful. Easeful check in and check out process. Our room itself left a lot to be desired. Lighting was definitely off with dated fixtures. The room itself was looking out to a brick wall, which isn’t the worst thing, but overall made the vibe a bit poorer. Bed was not the most restful, but sheets and upkeep was clean. I don’t think I’ll ever stay in this location again, but for what it was, I’m overall glad I had the experience of staying here once.

Well located midtown hotel that is old but well maintained. Our room, with two double beds, was small but pretty standard sized for Manhattan. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and maintenance was fairly quick to respond to issues with a clogged sink and with the heating system. Unfortunately, we were told that despite a room thermostat, building heat was centrally controlled and the only way we could lower the room temperature was to open a window. Overall, we had a good stay at was one of the more “reasonably” priced midtown hotels.

Was given a room that was not cleaned from the prior person occupying it - there was a crib in the room when I arrived and also several items left around the room (pile of change, Bobby pins on the floor, sheets had visible stains on them, pillows not organized on bed). I called the front desk and they explained that they did not have any other rooms available and could not move me. Had to have someone from housecleaning come in and put new sheets on the bed at 11pm. Would not stay again. By far the dirtiest hotel I have stayed in.

Fantastic location - within 10 minutes walk of Times Square, Broadway and Radio City Music Hall. Room was larger than we expected and the bed was divinely comfortable. Very cool art deco decor and retro elevators that maintained the original charm but were reliable and stable. Added bonus: air conditioning and water pressure in the room were top-notch. A bit pricier than where we would normally opt to stay but a flawless experience.

Room was very nice, upgraded to a suite at check-in. Comfortable linens, good AC/heat. Very quiet. Upper room which proved handy during busy times as elevator filled up preventing lower floor guests from elevator rides.

I booked the room via Expedia with a city view, but the window of room can only see one side of the wall. - front deck told me only book via their website can be a better view and wall view is a what I booked. Additional to that, the AC is extremely loud due to the position of the AC and the layout of the room. I used a decibel meter app on my iPhone to measure it, and it was basically aroun 65 dB. When I asked for change a room, they said they are fully booked and have to wait till next day. Eventually we get up early in the morning complain again to get a different room. The hairdryer in both of the rooms are so old and beaten. The location is good, easy to get around in the city.

We have stayed at the Warwick for the past four years for our annual trip to NYC. The hotel is in a great, central location close to Broadway, Central Park, dining, subway and all the other things we love to do on our visits. Staff is always very attentive and helpful to our needs. Shout out to Jamal at check-in. Expedia did not get us a wheelchair accessible room for our daughter (even though we requested) and Jamal upgraded our room without our even asking. Wonderful customer service and one of the reasons we keep coming back to the Warwick in New York. PS - thanks for the wonderful weather also!!!

The Worst Experience in New York — Warwick Hotel We stayed at the Warwick Hotel, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had in New York. The hotel feels old and neglected — tiny elevators where you wait 10–15 minutes just to go down in the morning, worn-out rooms, different brands of bathroom products mixed together, and towels so small they looked like hand towels. Breakfast was another disappointment. We came at 10 a.m., got our table, and by 10:58 still hadn’t received our food. We’re a family with two kids — people have morning plans and schedules. If half of the staff didn’t show up, the restaurant should at least warn guests that service will be slow. We left hungry and frustrated. When I went to the front desk to explain the situation, the young man there — rude, arrogant, and without a name tag — didn’t even apologize. Instead, he said: “Yes, it’s your check-out time, you should leave in two minutes… but we can give you a little extra time.” I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have never heard anything so cheap and unprofessional. I am not sure how this hotel had a guest rating of 9! Checked in and the room had a horrible odor. No one answers the phone. Went to front desk and they said they would send someone to spray. No one came. The odor was so bad, I couldn’t sleep and got physically ill! Next morning I called housekeeping and a very nice man came and sprayed the room. When I returned several hours later, the room still stunk of an unbearable odor. Can you imagine trying to sleep with stench! For my 2nd night, they moved my room. Doesn’t change the fact that I paid for the first night in unacceptable conditions and they refused to refund me for the first night. Hotel staff was friendly but management obviously doesn’t truly care to make things right. Location is good and room size is nice for NY. Front desk staff, bell desk, door man all nice but I would never return to these unsanitary conditions! Hotel management thinks this is acceptable? Horrible customer care!

Well located midtown hotel that is old but well maintained. Our room, with two double beds, was small but pretty standard sized for Manhattan. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and maintenance was fairly quick to respond to issues with a clogged sink and with the heating system. Unfortunately, we were told that despite a room thermostat, building heat was centrally controlled and the only way we could lower the room temperature was to open a window. I was running late for an appointment while I was driving into the city. I called the hotel ahead and told them this. They had the door man meet me and take my key and car and then I was able to leave my bag at the front desk and run to my meeting. I felt like the staff really helped me out. It felt small town.

Fantastic location - within 10 minutes walk of Times Square, Broadway and Radio City Music Hall. Room was larger than we expected and the bed was divinely comfortable. Very cool art deco decor and retro elevators that maintained the original charm but were reliable and stable. Added bonus: air conditioning and water pressure in the room were top-notch. A bit pricier than where we would normally opt to stay but a flawless experience.

I had a large comfortable room. Drinking water and Starbucks coffee in room free. Extra blanket in the closet. Bar on first floor is nice but doesn't serve food. Restaurant on the top floor but I didn't see it. Very close to a lot of Broadway shows.

I have stayed at Warwick often the years. Not what it was prior to Covid 19. No more room service. The great breakfast buffet (once the best in NY) is gone. Randolphs not open for late lunch. It has the history & location and, good staff, but it is just not the same place it once was.

The customer service at this hotel was above and beyond amazing. They are courteous and efficient and knowledgeable.We stayed here two separate times, and each time was beyond our expectations. The rooms are really nicely decorated and roomy. The breakfast in the restaurant is great too. This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful area of New York. This is 100 percent where I would book again on my next trip to NYC!

The location of this hotel is perfect for doing all the tourist things while also being far enough from Times Square to be quiet. We had a suite which was great for four nights with a family of four. Negatives are no food available after breakfast and our room needed some maintenance attention. The lights didn’t work properly and the heat was really loud. Overall I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a great central location with some NYC character at a reasonable price.

We loved our stay at this lovely hotel built by Hearst in 1926. It was elegant and harkened back to a more genteel time. We enjoyed cocktails at Randolph’s and breakfast at Murals. The staff was professional and very accommodating.
