Rooms were nice, but exterior upkeep was bad. Bad location, nothing walking distance. No elevators, had to lug bags upstairs at 66 years old. Restaurant has been closed since covid even though signage still says there is one. Stayed there because it was pet friendly, even the pet area was not kept up. Doggie poop trash was overfilling and many piles left. Would not stay here again.

This hotel is old but it was fairly clean. Staff was not overly friendly but polite. The pool was unfortunately closed. If needing to stay in that area I would probably stay there again.

Property was fine. I rented 2 rooms. Very disappointed the pool was closed for maintenance with no warning. Only reason we were staying was there was a pool! Should have received a discount for non working pool and no notices pool was down. Front desk didn’t even tell us it was down until I asked about it!

Properties oversold online. There is no more restaurant. Jacuzzi was broken. Pool temp was set to 74. Not great. In Coos Bay. With average temp of 68. Rooms were dated. It was clean enough and supplies at hand. But lots of deferred maintenance on the property. I wish I’d stayed at the best Western down the road.

The beds were comfortable. Room 118 had mold in bathroom and broke coffee pot. No remote at front desk. Took 24 hrs for coffee pot. Room 111 had filthy carpet, husband had black feet in room when he tried to go barefoot. Keep did not workbteice. Several calls to front desk unanwered. Walking to get new key, employee had to trick card into working with hand sanitizer. Working with what she had. Heard there are issues with key locks and systems. Very poorly run. We had someone with a comprised immune system. Had to move her. Unfortunately, our reviews indicate this property needs an overhaul of close. Rehards, Mike O'HARROW room 111 and Patricia O'HARROW room 118.

TV / program selection terrible, no in roon channel guide,no on screen channel guide, picture quality is poor . Room/ found dirty/ used clothing in dresser, checked " complimentry coffe...found torn,empty package on tray,no coffee! Only one washcloth for shower...for 2 people. Defective light above vanity( bad ballast, help unscrewed bulb rather than replace. Went to office before noon Friday, spoke to lady claiming to be general mgr., explained issues, she said shed dicount room, went right to clipboard and wrote out in detail the isdues, said it would be delt with....returned 8 hrs later, Nothing was touched, no clean towels/ washcloths, no light repair, no coffee...tried to use house phone to complain, it doesnt work,used cellphone to call front desk, was told linens and light were coming, guy showed up with towles ect...said he couldnt find a light bulb,no mention of coffee...I am not happy, at check out Saturday they will here about it ! Took pictures of filthy carpet in room corners,behind dirty sofa

Desk clerk was very professional. The rooms however are not being cleaned at all. Garbage under the beds, fingernail clipping all over, mirrors and tv had smudges. The houe cleaners obviously don't care about their work ethnic and it shows. Red Lion in Coos Bay has gone down the tubes since last time i stayed. Switched rooms twice and still ended up leaving. I do not recommend this hotel.

When we got there the carpet was really dirty The mirror over the sink was dirty there wasn't enough coffee had to go look for somebody to give us more coffee there was a lot of noise during the night We were on the first floor we'll never do that again and it smelt funny inside the room

When we stepped into our room we did a walk through. There was a very large spider in the bath tub and cob webbs across the shower area. The toilet was filthy. There was multiple types of hair on the seat,lipstick , and soiled. We carry disinfectant wipes with us, so we cleaned the toilet. It was Gross. This then made us question if the sheets had been changed and if the rest of the room had been cleaned. I woke the next morning with 4 different locations of bed bug bites. We were in room 236. We would like a refund.

We stayed for 2 days and the motel to be a pretty poor experience. The rooms were quite dates, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the thermostat was straight out of the 80’s with a sail you could barely read. There was no fan speed difference between the low, medium, and high setting and while on high the HVAC system barely moved any air. It did move enough to stain the popcorn ceiling. We bed with a pull out sofa bed. The sofa bed had a candy wrapper in it and there was no bedding to make it up. We had to call the front desk twice to get bedding for the bed. We had exactly 2 towels in the room and also had to ask for more of them as well. They were delivered quickly. There is no cable TV, only a poor signal over the antenna, with limited channels. The Wi-Fi was non-existent and my phone defaulted to LTE as the signal was so poor. On our second night there we got back to the hotel late after our event and found no shampoo, just soap, lotion and conditioner? Being at our wits end we just decided to deal with it as we were leaving in the morning anyway. Positives. The staff we dealt with were very nice and easy to deal with. They were understanding of the issues and fixed what they could. The hotel has a massive parking lot and is very easily accessed. Unfortunately this doesn't out weight the negatives and we won't be back.

HOLY GIGANTIC ROOM!! Although dated, the rooms were very clean and beds were super comfy! And, did i mention GIGANTIC?? We arrived later than most do and the front desk was super friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms were gigantic!! If it were a garage, we could've parked three or four cars in there!! Huge!!

SO frustrating, I was overcharged, they charged me twice for the one night stay and the staff was undertrained to competently resolve the situation! Maids walked into our room TWO times. No coffee pot, once we finally got one, there was NO coffee delivered with it. When we checked in they sent us to a room that was already occupied! Total incompetence, I will never stay at the Coos Bay red lion again! I have stayed there several times and each time there’s been some sort of issue!!!

Nobody to be found at the front desk. Not only when I arrived to check in, but also when I needed to talk to somebody about getting linens for the sofa bed. I first tried calling the front desk and nobody answered. I called multiple times, even as I was walking across the parking lot and into the lobby. Once in the lobby, while calling, the desk phone wasn’t even ringing. So I walked around until I found somebody. I lifted the lid on the ice bucket which was lined with a bag, but the bag had water in it. Staff dressed sloppy. Not at all what I expected from a Red Lion Inn. I’ve been to confesses at Red Lion Inn’s in the past and this particular location was a total disappointment. Definitely not worth the $186.01 I paid for. I will not stay there again nor recommend staying there to any of my friends or family.

I didnt like that i made a reservation for a 2 queen bed and arrived late at night and none of the rooms were cleaned or ready for us so they offered a refund rather than clean a room. Unacceptable. Horrible cuatomer service.

Desk clerk charged my card when I checked in for a $25 incidental fee and they have refused to credit it back without providing any reason. The check in and out were both extremely slow. The safety lock engaged when we left for dinner and we were locked out of our room. There was no one who could help us. They said the window was the only alternative. It was too small. They eventually offered us a different room but that eliminated our access to our medicines and CPAP machine. We paid a stranger to crawl through the window and unlock the door. There was no offer to reimburse us.

I really enjoyed my stay, the room was nice a little old fashioned if you will though. Also, when you walked outside it smells terrible (like sewage) otherwise the staff were helpful and friendly and the bed was comfy and the showers have amazing pressure!

This hotel was interesting. Very nice accommodations and the front desk staff were friendly. We traveled with our dogs and asked if we needed a 1st floor ADA room. We didn't really need one, so I said no. But we got a 2nd floor room and it was nice. The downside, you have to lug your stuff up stairs (and back down) and the hotel is a little dated. But the room was large and the bed was comfortable! It fit the bill for the one night we stayed. Also, if you need a place to eat, 7 Devils Brew Pub is across the street and in walking distance.

Overall had a great stay, the room was large and very clean. Good beds and shower, it is an older property so aspects are kinda dated but still a solid place to stay. It is near the water treatment facility in town so outside can be kinda smelly but didn't notice the smell inside. Doesn't appear to have a restaurant any more and breakfast is just granola bars and apples but that is atleast something. Definitely would stay again if back in the area.

This Red Lion in Coos Bay Ore has always and still is AWESOME. Very quiet even on highway. Close to down town, on the bay, Starbucks and Coos Bay Museum ( very nice ) across the street. Close to Mill Casino and Pancake Mill. I believe nicest hotel in Coos Bay.

It is a basic room. I chose this hotel for the price and they had breakfast. The breakfast was in a bag with an apple, a muffin and a granola bar. You could also take a water and Yogurt from a cooler. Not impressed. The coffee in the room had enough grounds for 1 cup, not 2.

This is a 2 star hotel, not 3! Breakfast was old breakfast burrito, granola bars and juice. But get it before 9 or its gone and they dont restock even though advertised til 10. Showers were moldy, cable went in and out, ice maker was hidden 25 rooms away and housekeeping never came for fresh towels. Coos bay is an industrial town, but i expected more for $135 a night here.

I had stayed at this Red Lion several years ago. There was a restaurant and a night club with a comedy show. This time there was no restaurant or night club. In the morning I went for my free breakfast. I was told that the breakfast bags were gone when I got there at 7:30 am. I commented on this and was told that the bags had not been delivered for three weeks. Would I stay again. Probably, it was clean and staff was good. I was just disappointed in the changes.

Properties oversold online. There is no more restaurant. Jacuzzi was broken. Pool temp was set to 74. Not great. In Coos Bay. With average temp of 68. Rooms were dated. It was clean enough and supplies at hand. But lots of deferred maintenance on the property. I wish I’d stayed at the best Western down the road.

Hotel is actually cleaner and more updates than I remember, but if you are booking for the free continental breakfast-think again. We were disappointed to see that ‘breakfast’ consisted of an apple, Nature Granola Bar, and a convenience store pre-wrapped cinnamon roll. We could pick one drink and there was yoplait yogurt. That’s all folks-just sad brown paper bags lined up for each person to take one. I asked about coffee and they said ‘Coffee is in your room Mam.’ Seriously! I would venture to guess that Motel 6 would even have coffee in the lobby.

There really wasn’t anything that we would say was good about the hotel. The room was in dire need of attention. The bed was old and uncomfortable, the pillows were awful, the bathroom wasn’t clean and there was hair on the shower wall. The shower curtain was old and had mold on the bottom. The breakfast we paid extra for, consisted of Walmart yogurt, biscuits and gravy, and lukewarm coffee. Don’t stay here is all I can say!!!
