They should shut down the facility to renovate then reopen rather than have tenants in that buildings condition.

The bathroom sink drain was plugged and then the refrigerator defrosted and had a large water mess on the floor. After walking on the laminate floor, went to shower and noticed my feet were filthy on the bottom from the floor. Window AC was very noisy. Property was going thru renovations, so thing were a bit messy. Outside the entry door was a pile of cigarette butts.

No elevator. Staff ESL - could not clearly understand requests. Could not generate a receipt.

Since our KING bed pre-paid room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) , we were forced to choose a First Floor double room and were charged $15 CASH - for that. I feel cheated and squeezed by this hotel and will NEVER go back.

As soon as we checked into our room we always turn the AC on. As soon as we did, we knew right away it wasn’t blowing cold air. We immediately went to the front office and they went to our room, pushed some buttons and said it was working. After we left for hours and came back that night the room was hot. We went back demanding to change rooms which we should have just done right away. He worker was giving us a hard time saying he can’t do anything and just wait for the manager to come handle it at midnight. My husband didn’t accept that and eventually we got another room with a working AC. The rooms did not have any curtains and it’s next to Waffle House with flood lights facing you and on all night. It was so hard to sleep with those lights. The bathroom was recently renovated and it’s nice, but they didn’t have anyplace to hang your towels in the BR. The hallways outside are being renovated so we had to carry our kids because there were exposed nails everywhere. I’m glad this was just an overnight stay, I would not stay here longer than that. If they would have refunding our room we would have left, but they refused too so we sucked it up for the night. If they advised that they were currently under renovations, we wouldn’t have stayed there.

the management was disrepectful and rude. The facility needed more secure doors.

We got to the room and were sorely disappointed. There was no phone in the room to call the front desk, so we trekked back downstairs only to be told the water would be off for a couple of hours. After going back to our room we started to notice the state of the room. There was hair left from previous guests on the walls of the bathroom and shower and a very big wad sitting on the shower drain. The window had blinds that had no strings to adjust in any way, and the blinds themselves were broken. The bed sheets had stains on them, cigarette burns, and no blankets to speak of. The hotel was dirty due to renovations that were started and halted. The breakfast is minimal. Cereal and yogurt. Our room keys had to be reset every day of our stay because they were deprogrammed at check out time every day, even though we had not checked out. The staff is uninterested in guest service. Lots of noise at night in the parking lot, cars allowed to sit with music so loud it shook the walls of the hotel. And an overwhelming smell of marijuana smoke the whole time we were there, even though the hotel is supposed to be non smoking. The outside doors are taped so no key is required for entry. Very unsafe. All in all … pick somewhere else. This place isn’t worth the price.

No elevator; very dated; tidy but not clean

I was there for 4 nights and the only night room service came to clean to my room was the first day & that was because I called in to have someone come at around 3pm. Another thing I noticed was 2 cockroaches as soon as I got there. This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. As soon as I got there I had to ask for a broom to sweep my whole room. The were hair and dust all over the floor as if nobody had swept. Before I left I asked if I could get compensation and I did not get the help I needed. The owners & staff need to do better. I should be compensated full refunded on my first night when I seen those cockroaches and stayed across the street at the other hotel. I’m very much upset I feel like my trip was a waste:( Also there were some weird men on the 2nd floor. There was a guy that kept peeking through his door everytime I walked by making me super uncomfortable. DOO BETTERRR!!!!

Upon arrival the motel looked dirty from the outside and there was trash by the front entry door. We were given a key card for a second floor room. I got to the hallway of the room it smelled like marijuana. When I went into the room's bathroom to wash my face there was a spot of blood on the wall behind the sink. When I went to open the door my hand was on something red on the door. When I looked closer it was smeared blood. I called the front desk they sent someone ( I guess housekeeping) they asked me to show it to them and I did. They looked at it and said it may be paint. In my line of work we don't call that paint. We call it evidence. They put us in another room that looked run down and uncared for. One of the pillows were closer to tan than white. The room refrigerator had not been cleaned or defrosted in quite a while. It was so much ice built up that it was hard to close the door. .I tried to warm up something in the microwave it had a foul odor so that was a no go. The security of the building also seemed lacking and unsafe. I tried to get a room at another motel but was not able to find one because it was a holiday weekend. I will never stay there again and I hope other travelers will think twice about it also. I usually don't give bad reviews but this place was beyond belief.

There was stains on the bed the bathroom towels and wash cloths and it needs to be upgraded

From check in to check out this was a terrible experience. When we arrived we were unable to check in due to them not having the code from expedia, which they blamed on expedia. It took almost a hour to finally get into our room. The bathroom was dirty with hair in the corners, the toilet paper dispenser was broken so our toilet paper had to stay on the sink. There were holes in the walls and chipped paint everywhere. Aside from that we saw a huge bug in crawling on the wall. During the 5 day stay they never once came to clean the room as I requested multiple times throughout the trip, nor did the send up clean towels. ONE DAY they made the bed, thats all, they did not take the garbage out nor did they put fresh towels. One night coming home there was a man asleep in the stairwell. It was a TERRIBLE experience

The room they assigned us was so filthy I refused to stay there. (Pee stains on the bed, dust all over the floor, note in the picture the hair in the bed above the pee stain. There were additional hairs on the wall of the bathroom. I did not take a photo of them.) When offered another room my request was, as long as it is non-smoking and clean. As soon as I open the door it reeked of smoke. Then I was told that that was all they had and I could leave since I couldn't stay there. I told them I did not want to be charged. They agreed, but then proceeded to charge me anyway. Expedia could not help me because the hotel GM said I checked in late, which by the way, I hadn't. I reached out to choice hotels, and they basically offered me points if I wanted to sign up, as if I would want to stay in another choice hotel. I finally called my credit card company and disputed the charge, and got it removed. This may not represent every Quality Inn, but I do not expect to ever find out! I have attached photos that show some of the dust on the floor, etc but the lighting does not really do it justice as how bad it was.

My room was not cleaned prior to my arrival. Bedding and sheets had not been changed. Toilet had not been cleaned, shower appeared to have not been cleaned in months. Dirty linens from previous guest were still in the room. Floor had not been vacuumed for a while, there were dust bunnies on the floor. I had to ask for clean bed sheets and make my own bed, and my room didn't have a trash can and there wasn't one in the bathroom. The shades were all busted up and the lights from Battlefield Blvd were so bright and shined right into my eyes so I didn't sleep at all.

Good and clean place. Small but clean, the only problem is the noise, it’s a little noisy.

I like the property and the rooms, but its hard to sleep if you end up on the waffle house side because its open all night and there isnt enough window covering to shut out the large amount of light from the sign.

A queen bed was what we paid for but it was clearly a full bed on top of a queen bed frame. The bed frame stuck out atleast 6 inches on each side so you hit your legs off of it every time you got up. It said non smoking but when the ac unit wasn’t running the smoke smell took over the whole room. The breakfast fruit looked as if they took it from the garbage and put it in a fridge. Overall terrible.

It was clean and inexpensive. Walls are thin. I could hear footsteps above my room. No coffee in room, but it was a nice room. Breakfast was very minimal. Waffle House is adjacent to parking lot.

They are renovating the hotel, the room are getting better. The mattress was half the size of the bed frame. The TV didn’t work all the time, seems like a cabling issue. The door wouldn’t close unless you slammed it. I left the room after checking in, put my stuff in there, went to eat and came back to my door open. That wasn’t a good way to return to your room. Nothing was taken thankfully but why was it that way. Came down to check out, they couldn’t or didn’t know how to print out a receipt showing what charges was on the room…..at first he couldn’t find my name associated with the room number. That was again annoying. They need to work out some more issues before this hotel would be a place I returned to. I travel all year and stay with this chain a lot, so it was very upsetting for this trip.

Staff was very nice and helpful at check in and check out. Bed sheets and towels were clean. Floor was mostly clean. No elevator to get to our room on the 2nd floor with our luggage. King size bed frame was fitted with a smaller queen size mattress - very odd. Great to have waffles at the continental breakfast. Orange juice tasted very artificial.

The internet was down which delayed my check in time, then the television remote wasn't working and front desk clerk didn't come to fix the problem, instead gave me another remote and that didn't work either. Plus there was no continental breakfast at all.

Just passing thru on a road trip. The room seemed recently remodeled and was good. The staff helped me understand how to use the TV, needed some more instructions. Pillows weren't comfortable.

The room was very empty. A lamp didn’t work and the tv didn’t work. There was a broken dip in the floor. But the bathroom was pretty good. And the bed wasn’t terrible.

The stay was good. They are completely remodeling the hotel so there was a lot of renovations going on around. The only problem we had was that we paid for a queen room and the bed in the room was a full. But overall the stay was good. I can tell it will be an awesome place once it is done being renovated

Almost exactly between the Norfolk Airport and the place I was going to be that weekend. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Although we didn't really need anything for our room. They even upgraded on our room for free just because they were able to. Super kind of them. I Love staying here when I visit Virginia.

You get your money's worth for a bargain hotel. However, I did not like the surprise $20 service charge, payable at check-in. I did not like the free breakfast - no hot food except the waffle machine, no high-protein food at all (no eggs, no bacon or sausage, no yogurt). I did not like the man at the front desk overnight - I think he said whatever he needed to say to get the person in front of him to go away, regardless of how true or false it was.

I don't normally leave reviews. This hotel could not find my booking, then found out what had happened and honoured the booking. Then put me in a Ground floor room as requested and i was very happy with the room.

The front desk customer service is very good. Mrs. Veronica and her husband are very friendly. Very quiet place.

The staff at this property are always polite and go beyond to take care of their guest within their limits. I’ve never had any issues with this property or the staff. Other places I’ve seen say they have breakfast in the morning but when you go it’s doughnuts, toast and maybe drinks. You have better options here at this property. Will always stay here when the opportunity presents itself.

I booked this room for my father so he could come to my husband's funeral after his unexpected passing. A barking dog in another room kept my father up all night. My father asked the front desk if he could switch rooms. They told him that he "can't complain" and they kicked him out of the hotel. This was extremely stressful for me during an already traumatic time. I called the front desk to explain the situation and hope for some empathy for the situation and they were equally as rude uncaring with me. When asked for the official name of the business, they said there is no official name. This is the worst experience I've ever had dealing with customer service.

They charge a "service" fee above the rate paid to Expedia. Also must pay for a security deposit, but do not want to give you a receipt for it. Clerk struggled with the payment terminal. Very unprofessional.

I was amazed how nice this hotel was. It was nice and quiet and very clean. The upgrades are very noticeable and welcoming. Will be going back. Close to restaurants and the interstate.

This property is in a great location and convenient for eating at a variety of restaurants and shopping in walking distance.

Place is worn out. Not clean. Had no tv service half the night. I was actually afraid to go outside by myself.

The rooms was clean, and the staff was very friendly. However throughout the night their so guess in the next room arguing and fighting and then some men fussing outside at the waffle house restaurant. Quite disturbing but we managed to go back sleep. This was the first time I have experienced with this hotel. They did apologize. Which was welcomed. I wouldn't let this change my opinion about them.

It's close to my job

Easy access from the interstate and major roads. Close to major hospital and points of interest. Good overall for an inexpensive rest stop.

Is in the middle of Chesapeake area and close to many places and outlet malls

The current pics did not do this place justice as they are actively upgrading and updating the rooms. Still some things that are getting done but bathroom and furniture were new as well as new carpet in the halls also. So if new "smells" bother you, you may want to look elsewhere. The breakfast isn't the greatest but there is a Waffle House 75 feet away.

Breakfast is a joke all the workers got there at 6 and ate everything we ask about 8am if there any more there going to put out they said no and walked away so we went to waffle house nezt door we wil never stay there again

The hotel had a strong weed smell and the breakfast was in boxes from the grocery store with yellow mark down stickers for quick sell.

This people doesn’t even have milk for breakfast. I asked for milk and the guy s’aime are out of milk. For him that is ok. Spend 5 days they never clean my room.
