Good for a short stay. Convenient off the interstate and a nice view of the surrounding mountains. We booked a King Room, but the building we were to staying was having a maintenance problem. The Queen Room we were given was nicely remodeled and comfortable. The room door had to be slammed to close and the ice machine was broken. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The ice machine was broken. A sign was on the machine to go to the office to receive some. The employee said she knew nothing about it and said she had no ice. I said it seems like someone should go get some for their guests. Her comment was that ice was not a necessity and they didn't have to provide it. She then pointed out the window and said I could get my own ice at a gas station across the road. She didn't say it very nice. Then on the day of check out we ate the breakfast that was provided (not good at all). When we went to get back in our room our key no longer worked. A couple next to us said the same thing happened to them. It's almost like they already checked us out. I need to point out that the office is in another building. So, all this communication was not an easy feat. On top of that it was raining. All in all I would never stay there again. The beds were comfortable though!

Like this place because of being pet friendly. Set up nice for when we have our dog with us. Ground floor with the sliding glass doors is very convenient to take the dog out.

Picture shows front building that does not have any guest rooms. Rooms are in several detached buildings. Had to get room key reactivated which required I drive to the front building and back to my room. No luggage cart available so I had to make several trips to my room.

Here’s what I learned: if you need an accessible room, be sure to book one. Indicating you need a ground floor room at on-line check in is not sufficient. If you do decide to roll the dice on that one, do be sure to indicate you need a ground floor room for medical reasons. It may not help but at least you will have tried. This property has no elevator and the stairs to the second floor are very steep. The room was fine, I guess, if kind of dated, but since I couldn’t get my things up the stairs I left and went down the street to the Red Roof Inn, where both the rooms and staff are considerably more pleasant. Also, if you are in the room for an hour they will refuse to cancel the reservation. (They also couldn’t cancel it bc I booked through Expedia, which I expected.) Most of this negative experience was my own fault, which I fully accept and acknowledge, but the staff was so incredibly unpleasant than I would never recommend anyone stay here even if you CAN climb two flights of stairs. I have been using Expedia for almost two decades and this is the most disappointing experience I have ever had.

I would never leave a review in this manner, , but I feel I need to warn future guest. I have never been so disgusted in my life. There were cockroaches in our rooms, I booked three rooms and in all three rooms there were cockroaches. I have pictures to prove it we checked out immediately. The owners would not give a refund for our night stay I had to throw out all my clothing, just in case I don’t think I need to say anything else.

The room was filthy. There were huge stains on the blanket, hair on the toilet, mold on the walls/ceiling, something unknown on bathroom floor, and the shampoo/conditioner containers were filthy.

The room was less than average - cleanliness could have been improved! Found roaches and some other kind of bug in the bathroom! Good thing we were finishing up in the morning when we found it. We will look for other accommodations in the future.

The room was old, but fairly clean. We did spot a couple cockroaches. The Wi-Fi connection was very weak, almost worthless. Not much breakfast selection. Staff was friendly, but no one was at the desk when we arrived, and I had to wait for over half an hour. The guy who checked us in wasn't exceptionally friendly and really didn't give us much info, like when breakfast was served. Price was OK.

Check in was fine. Room was clean but no hot water. When I went to breakfast a couple was checking out and complained they had no cold water, that their water was, “scalding hot”. I joked well I know where my hot water went. Only stayed the night & wanted a clean bed and shower. How can I give more than one star when they cannot meet the minimum for the $$.

This was awful had a very good rating. it was a lie. Blood stains on mattress, filthy rug, hair in shower, bugs on the ceiling. The door did not lock. The man at the front desk was nasty. AWFUL!!

The customer service was outstanding except that the automated system sent me 14 e-mails (the same) at check-in. Otherwise, they were VERY responsive to my reply to their text system asking if everything was OK. I made a few comments that were dealt with immediately and efficiently- with kindness. My only complaints were the noise of other guests (couldn't be helped by the office/staff because the rooms just were not well insulated so sound carried easily) and the bed was way too soft/lumpy for my preferences. But, I managed to get a great night's rest from a LONG day of travel. Convenient to Cracker Barrel restaurant and plenty of fast food within minutes. GREAT view too of the area from on top of the hill. **also- liked how spread out the place is with multiple buildings and parking areas.

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were made of shredded foam and not at all comfortable. The room was quiet and clean. TV was sub par. Did not have channels they listed in their channel guide. Had to hold down lever on toilet to flush and the plunger in the sink stayed down making me think the sink was clogged, but okay once I figured it out. The staff was excellent. Friendly and very helpful.

The walls are wow super thin but the bed was comfy. The room smelled a little musty but everything was clean. There is a cobweb in one of the beams in the ceiling but that is the only downside. The decor seems fresh out of 1970? But to be this clean I don’t mind

Checking at the front desk was good. The room condition was good unfortunately the room when we entered the heat was not on the room was maybe 50° if that we turned the electric heat on at the air conditioner heating unit and it took probably 2 or 3 hours before the room was up to a reasonable temperature very disappointed. Please don’t check people into rooms that are not warm and heated in the middle of the cold winter Breakfast buffet was great. Enjoyed the pancake machine & muffins. The hotel was good ! disappointed in the room heating.

Spacious room, which is a rarity nowadays. Nice clean beds. Bathroom was clean too. They can do a bit better on breakfast. It was mediocre. Also the AC on the room would not stay on for long periods. The AC unit was not cleaned properly. I would book this hotel again if I were to.

We showed up and talked to the clerk about getting a first floor room for my wife who was in a wheelchair. When I explained to the clerk was on duty about my wife, she said what do you expect for $70? I asked her to repeat it. Not wanting to fight went to the room, but needed ice went back down, and the ice machine was out of order when I told her about it she said no the ice machine works when I told her about the sign. She really didn’t care. I wouldn’t stay here even if the room was free from now on

We stay here often on our way to South Carolina. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and a great value. Special shout-out to Cindy at the front desk. She is always friendly and does a great job with the breakfast area.

So, the young lady checking us in was awesome. So, friendly, and juggling several customers at the same time. I needed a ground floor room (old dog, and I have a bad knee) and she obliged immediately. The room was spotless. PERFECT coming from a "snow bird" month in February. Wytheville is exactly halfway for us. If you need something more, then get it. But for us it was perfect. Thanks Travelodge!

Perched on top of a hill, the location offers a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountain area. It is conveniently situated off and on Interstate 71. Right next door is Cracker Barrel, which offers fairly decent food. The facilities are somewhat dated. It is a reasonable buy for the price.

We had a wonderful comfortable night. Beds weee very comfortable and had towels and comfort quiet room. The signing up to a hotspot system to watch tv was not my thing. So we didn’t. The breakfast was good. Very simple hot menu Clean and very friendly atmosphere. Thank you!
