Nice hotel near the airport. Convenient to get to. Friendly staff. We reached after midnight but had no trouble checking in. They have free parking in front of the hotel which is nice. Excellent breakfast buffet in the morning.

Nice hotel with beautiful design. The CCTV enabled parking is quite small compare to how many rooms are available, so we had trouble finding parking. Otherwise it was a nice stay.

TV wouldn’t switch off. Hotel is at the airport but there’s no airport shuttle service. Water in faucets was extremely hot and can cause heat burns. Hotel administration needs to keep that in mind. Sound proofing is not good and you can hear people walking in the hallways outside. Rooms and bathrooms are very small and there’s no closet in the room at all

A great party atmosphere and busy bar area when we arrived. If, like us, you need an early night before an early flight be aware that the music from the restaurant continues all night so if you are on the second floor at the restaurant end, you will still be hearing Tina Turner at 4.30 when you get up for your flight.

The first person who greeted me late at night was very helpful. When I got to my room, the cleaning staff had left a window open and wind was blowing in. The taxi I called for the next day to get back to the airport never came, but the receptionist arranged for me to go the airport with someone working there. A nearby hotel where I have stayed before (which I would have booked if it were available) did not charge to use their geothermal heated pool, which was nice to use the morning before going to the airport. Meanwhile, this hotel wanted around 40€ to use the spa, which was a disappointment. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with various choices and good coffee. Location is good too. The double bed is comfortable but the twin sofa bed is unable to sleep on as springs dig into your body. I would highly recommend it but make sure to have your own regular bed.

Room #124 was very tidy & clean, but the room had a toilet scent, even though the bathroom was spotless. The scent was strong enough to prevent me from getting any sleep at all. The Hotel offered to change our room, but we declined to avoid having them clean up an additional room after we already used the first room.

Nothing in particular all was good! But one thing to mention the shower is for me not constant !? The partition from the shower ( in my case !) was leaking and I was standing in water!?) but yes with more towels you can settle!? May come again and check on it - lol !! Just to let you know!!

We had two rooms, one of which was OK. The other was a disaster. The heating wouldn’t shut off and hotel staff didn’t know what to do and couldn’t move us to another room, but it was 28° all night long. Needless to say it wasn’t very good sleeping before an important flight the next day The hotel is a little Gerry And design and decoration, but it’s adequate for most rooms. I think it is a little noisy from the street and inside the hotel.

When we got to our room, it was 29 degrees Celsius. We tried to control the thermostat and turned to 16 C, and opened all windows (it was snowing). We alerted the desk and also asked for a lighter bed cover as it was so hot and the bed covers were quite thick - they said they had nothing lighter. After three hours, the room was no cooler and we were uncomfortably hot and knew we would not be able to sleep like that. After reporting this and requesting a new room, we were then told we would need to take a downgrade, which we did not dispute. This was true, the new room was significantly smaller and the television did not work, so we had to watch a movie on our tablet. Rooms are small and the bathroom is dated but bed was comfortable. We were just there to rest before an early flight but unfortunately the fire alarms went off twice around 10pm and walls are thin so you can hear conversations in the hall and your neighbors showering. Not restful like we wanted unfortunately. Staff was pleasant. Please note if you drive parking is limited and we had to park in a lot behind a gas station and drag our bags because there is no loading or unloading zone we were told that was for taxis only by staff.

Check in experience was terrible. Stood like a lemon for 15 minutes with every member of staff walking past us. When we finally asked the bartender whether we could check in he said the receptionist was on her break. No apology and an attitude from receptionist. I can’t really rate this hotel, because even though I booked it 3 months in advance, when we arrived we were told they had moved us to the hotel across the street. We didn’t have any advance warning so I was very surprised. We were assured that they had given us an upgrade (though what that upgrade was she didn’t mention). When we got to the Radisson, we had a nice room but basic, nothing I would consider an upgrade. We thought perhaps they would add breakfast for our troubles, but they did not. That being said, the Radisson was nice and the staff was great, but the breakfast was not included. I really wanted to say at Hotel Keflavik, so it was a bit disappointing.

We had our reservation 3 months before our trip, all paid off. We arrived to the hotel after our long trip and we were told by the receptionist that we were being transferred to another hotel because they were overbooked because of there was a system error. We resisted to be transferred to another hotel because we didn’t know anything about that hotel, our priority is our safety. But there was nothing we can do because we were told by the assistant manager that they were full, and there were no rooms available for us . How did that happen when we were booked and paid our reservation 3 months before our trip. We were told by the receptionist that she was calling me and that she sent an email to inform us about the change. But I did not received any message from them. The receptionist said she called me on November 14, and that’s the day of our flight. How do they expect us to get the message when we were already in the airplane. That was ridiculous! we were so frustrated. We were transferred to another hotel and the location is like a ghost town. It used to be a military base and there was nothing there to see. We arrived to the hotel after our long trip and we were told by the receptionist that we were being transferred to another hotel because they were overbooked because of there was a system error. We resisted to be transferred to another hotel because we didn’t know anything about that hotel, our priority is our safety. But there was nothing we can do because we were told by the assistant manager that they were full, and there were no rooms available for us . How did that happen when we were booked and paid our reservation 3 months before our trip. We were told by the receptionist that she was calling me and that she sent an email to inform us about the change. But I did not received any message from them. The receptionist said she called me on November 14, and that’s the day of our flight. How do they expect us to get the message when we were already in the airplane. That was ridiculous! we were so frustrated. We were transferred to another hotel and the location is like a ghost town. It used to be a military base and there was nothing there to see. It was so isolated. Even the receptionist in that hotel was very apologetic and felt bad for us. We arrived at Hotel Keflavik at 4AM after a flight, and the staff was SO accommodating and kind! They gave us a free breakfast, showed us to our very clean room, and we tried to sleep off the jetlag. The breakfast was OUT OF THIS WORLD and exactly what we needed after an overnight flight. We will come back for the food and the wonderful people!

We arrived very late and it was raining and cold. The staff at reception told us our room is at the first floor and insisted we went out of the hotel entrance and walked around the building to find the room . When I asked if we could walk inside the building with our luggage, he just said no. I asked again, still got the same answer. A lady finally came up, showed us the way to walk around inside the hotel. It is not the nice way to be treated in a “4 star “ hotel.

After we checkin we noticed the TV wasn’t working. They had no other rooms available to move to but promised it would be fixed the next day. It wasn’t so they moved us thank you to the manager and upgraded the room and gave us a comp breakfast.

Hotel was fine the room was quite a bit smaller than pictured and the mini fridge did not work. The area around the hotel was industrial so the hotel seemed a bit out of place. But less than 10 minutes to the airport for an early flight was convenient.

The hotel itself is lovely. Nice room. Comfortable and quiet. The area is somewhat mixed use, so there are some bars and restaurants but also some industrial buildings. It was a good option to be near to the airport for a morning flight. I would stay again.

A relatively large, full-service hotel in the center of town with a private parking across right across the street. It’s only 10 minutes from KEF airport – a great location if you are catching a morning flight. I stayed in a single room. While the bed was comfortable and in-room amenities included a safe, refrigerator, teapot and coffee maker, there were several quirks in the design of my room. For example, the TV was on a wall parallel to the bed, which made it difficult to watch. There was no nightstand or shelf next to the bed where I could place a glass of water or my phone. In fact, there was only one available electrical outlet for charging my phone, located at the foot of the bed, and there was nowhere to place the phone while it was being charged other than on the bed itself. At night, the room lighting was rather dim, even with two ceiling fixtures, a small table lamp near the window, and several LED spotlights next to the bed. I enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant and I also opted for the breakfast buffet (22 EUR) which included a number of hot items (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.), and a large variety of cakes and finger sandwiches among other choices. The décor in some of the public areas is a little over-the-top (e.g., mirrored ceilings in the corridors outside the rooms).

Nice, clean hotel and close to the airport. The food was amazing. We ate dinner and breakfast there. The staff was so nice and even called our taxi for us when we had to leave for the airport. There is a nice paved walk along the water that is close to the hotel.

I was connecting to a flight the next day and needed to spend the night. The hotel is very nice and located in a quiet area. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. The lamb was superb. Room was good and the staff was very friendly.

We had dinner in their restaurant waited for more than one hour and saw one female staff delivered my order (sunny kef burger) to the next table. Strangely, the customer accepted it. It made me thinking he had the same order as mine. one of our order came at the same time. 10 minutes Later, the staff went to the next table took his plate off their table. We waited another 25 minutes for our two other orders, it was about time the restaurant to be closed. It made me mad. When I ask him why it took so long for a simple burger, he said because of another big party was going on in the other side. he did not even apologize about the delay. He did not mention the delivery to wrong customer, which was a big no no. The staff service was extremely terrible.

When flying back home from your wonderful adventure trip around Iceland and you need a place to stay close to the airport this is it. Great food, great location, a spa, first class service, then you need to experience this hotel. If you are flying in and have a layover, then don’t cheat yourself out of this hotel.
