Absolutely great customer service. We arrived passed midnight our transportation provided by hotel was there. The person at the front desk was very informative and helpful. She went over and beyond to assist us as we had issues with an excursion we booked to blue lagoon through another site. Great all around.

Hotel was close to the airport and was very clean. We specifically picked this hotel because they offered free breakfast and free airport transport. The breakfast was great. The transport from the airport to the hotel was also great. Our only negative with this hotel was with the hotel transport back to the airport. We made arrangements with the front desk the night before. It seems that they forgot and in the end they ended up calling a taxi for us that we ended up having to pay for.

Clean, quiet rooms with comfortable beds and linens. Nice location by the beach. A quiet place to rest for a few hours between flights. Airport shuttle not as advertised. Not a shuttle van, rather a car. Not ideal for families or large groups traveling to the hotel. Also, shuttle only provided one way or once per visit.

It was very inconvenient not to have an elevator to the upper floor. I am compromise in lifting, and it was a problem. I also encounter two other individuals struggling with their luggage. A good price for a nights stay should not compromise your health.

I paid a little over $400 a night for a room near the airport with shuttle service. I was told someone was "sick, and that things happen" at 5:45 am after being told a 5:15 ride was arranged. Then I was told that I had "more time" than another couple who were waiting for their ride, and to wait until they were dropped off ...I ended up taking a cab--whick obviated the entire reason I stayed at a near airport hotel ( the cab ride was over $30 for a five minute ride, but that is another story.) The room was basic, with a window that did not open. The hallway smelled like mildew and a dead rodent. There was no elevator, and our room was on the second floor (we had 3 large bags and three small ones). Generally, a poor experience that I paid much $ for.

The website says 24 hour free round trip airport shuttle. They charged me 20 euro for the trip back to the airport and showed me some vague language justifying it that is not easily found. Also, website says there is an elevator, but there's not. I had to lug my bags up 2 flights with no help. Everyone working there has a bad back according to the clerk

The staff were very helpful. They picked us up at the airport, and returned us the next day to airport. Rooms were clean, and it was very quiet. I was glad to be traveling with my husband to have help carrying luggage up the stairs.

When we first got to the property it looked promising. We called ahead and were picked up from the airport by the shuttle (TBD on if it was free) but we did wait about 30 minutes for it which to us was ok. The room was big enough for one night and the beds were comfortable even though it was two singles pushed together. The bathroom had a musty fart smell and no toiletries. The view from our window was stunning which was nice. There is NO ELEVATOR so be prepared to carry your bags and if you have trouble with stairs please avoid this one. The breakfast was laughable, toast with cheese and a broken coffee machine. We ended up walking 20 minutes up the street to a delicious bakery instead. Now the checkout process can make someone crazy. The check out time is 11am not 12 like Expedia states. There was no one at the front desk. There was 12-15 people in the lobby waiting to check out and no one was there. We waited for 20 minutes before someone asked the housekeeping and they said to just leave your keys on the desk and walk to a near by hotel for a shuttle (which was supposed to be offered at this hotel fyi). All of us walked over to the nearby hotel which informed us that the shuttle is in fact not free unless we were their guests. We tried to call the hotel and the neighbouring hotel did as well and no one was able to get through. This was an awful experience. Not worth the $300 we paid for the stay.

Always an easy place to use coming from or going to the airport. Clean and comfortable, but pretty bare bones and the breakfast is not really worth it. Not meant for staying any longer than one night, because you’re going to want to get either home, or on your way on your trip in Iceland. This is just a convenient stopover.

Ich verstehe nicht, wie man als professionell agierendes Hotel so ein Zimmer guten Gewissens vermieten kann. Nicht wirklich sauber aber schlimmer ist der allgemeine Zustand. Löcher in den Wänden, Bett komplett durch und quietscht bei jeder Bewegung. Dusche nicht zu benutzen, da die Duschtüren gar nicht fest sind

Good for a quick layover stay. We were there for only about 6 hours to sleep. Bathroom was a bit musty, but the room was clean. It was a Saturday night, and the hotel had an Irish pub located across the street. It was very noisy, and we basically heard everything that was going on outside. We didn’t get great sleep, but for the money paid it was fine. The hotel staff was super helpful, and check in was a breeze. Shuttle to the airport in the morning was also a plus since the wait for a taxi was over an hour long. Overall it was fine for a quick stay.

There is no elevator, so expect to carry your bags upstairs. The rooms are functional but basically like a hostel room with a private bath. The woman working the front desk (she was there when we checked in after 8 and when we left in the morning) was very polite and helpful. The hotel did offer airport transport with taxis.

There was discrepancy between what was shared on Expedia and what was offered. Checkin time suggested was 2 pm but we did not get room until 3:30 pm. Moreover, we waited in line for an hour to get to reception to check in. It seemed like there was just 1 staff handling everything. Receptionist was patient and courteous but that didn't change the impact on the overall experience. In addition, we were charged for shuttle to airport on the way back. Expedia booking did not mention that but reception staff said that's what we offer. No toiletries in the shower either. This was the most expensive hotel for our entire 14 day trip and came with least amenities and bad experience. So, I wouldn't recommend this property if you have other choice.

Negative Star Review: Stay Away! I had a truly disappointing experience at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist was cold and unwelcoming—no greeting, no smile, just an overall unpleasant attitude. Walking to our room was just as bad. We had to navigate through a dim, unlit corridor that felt unsafe and neglected. It set a terrible tone for our stay. But the worst part? The hotel advertises a shuttle service, but when we asked for a ride, they outright denied us! This hotel is a lovely gem, right on the sea and a quick drive from the airport. But the most amazing part is the staff. Our flight was delayed and we arrived extremely late. Nearly 1:00 am. We thought for sure we were going to be stuck at the airport, but the manager of the hotel not only answered our call, but found a driver to pick us up! I have never stayed at a hotel anywhere in the world that would go so far to help their guests. We are so grateful and will return to this hotel each time we visit Iceland.

We arrived shortly before 4:00 and check in was handled quickly with friendly conversation. We were only there for one night and they recommended the restaurant Ráin which was very good as well as a taxi booked for us for the next mornings trip to the airport. Would stay again.

Wir waren nur zur Übernachtung vor dem Abflug dort und konnten daher das Frühstück nicht wahrnehmen. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und hat uns schon etwas früher ins Zimmer gelassen, um unser Gepäck zu deponieren. Sie hat uns persönlich zum Flughafen gefahren (5 Minuten Fahrt, top). My room did not look like the pictures-I saw other rooms that were being cleaned and they did, so I think some of the rooms just haven’t been updated. The bathroom had a strong mildew smell but looked clean. The hotel does not offer round trip free shuttle transportation as advertised. After arriving in Keflavik I took the free shuttle to the hotel, the morning staff was very kind and though my room was not ready for check in yet I was able to leave my luggage in the lobby. After realizing I could get a bus to reykjavík from the airport I returned to the airport by taxi (3,000 ISK) to spend the day in reykjavík. Once arriving again at the airport later that night I called the front desk to explain my situation and see if I could return to the hotel by shuttle- I was told I could but not given an estimated time on the arrival of the shuttle. When the shuttle arrived 45 minutes later, I returned to the hotel to check in and the woman who was working was very rude and told me I would be charged an additional 2,000 ISK for taking the shuttle again as only one shuttle trip was included in the stay, though I was not told this on the phone. Later, I left a review rating my check-in poorly as I felt that the front desk staff was very inhospitable. Leaving my room later on in, same woman at the front desk informed me she had seen my review & said she was not charging me & raised her voice telling me I needed to change my review. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend staying here.

After an ambulance ride and a hospital visit, we were thankfully cleared to fly—but our rescheduled flight wasn’t until the next morning. Exhausted and in need of rest, we searched for a place to stay and found Hotel Keilir in Keflavík. Check-in wasn’t until 3 PM, but when we explained our situation, Pryndiss at the front desk went above and beyond to help us. She kindly arranged to have a room cleaned and ready immediately so we could check in at 9 AM. And also provided us with a light breakfast. Thanks to her warmth and hospitality, we were able to have the restful, restorative day we desperately needed. What we liked: the view from the room. And TV had English TV stations. The bathroom wasn't comfortable, because there was no place to put your toiletries. And in the bedroom were no drawers to place your clothes, only a desk. The personnel were rude and nasty.The only person that tried to help us when we got to the hotel was Nicolai. There was an old man there, too, he even wouldn't talk to us...he ignored us, kind of creepy, like a character of a horror movie, very unpleasant situation. The breakfast was very poor and this old man was the one taking care of it with his dirty hands and dirty clothes... like he just jumped out of bed... And when was time for the shuttle...oh my!! you needed to leave at the time they said, not when you needed, if you have more than one suitcase...be aware...they don't like that. Anyway, we won't go back to that hotel, for sure!!! If you book with them it will be under your own risk!! Guest be aware!!!

The hotel is on Main street, so within walking distance to many things, which is nice. We had a room on the back side of the building so it was quiet other than the general noise of life. The outside of the property was deceiving, as it was under construction, but the interior was clean and updated. We had a very early flight so we did not get to experience the breakfast option. It did not have coffee or tea, which may have been an oversight.

Good for a quick layover stay. We were there for only about 6 hours to sleep. Bathroom was a bit musty, but the room was clean. It was a Saturday night, and the hotel had an Irish pub located across the street. It was very noisy, and we basically heard everything that was going on outside. We didn’t get great sleep, but for the money paid it was fine. The hotel staff was super helpful, and check in was a breeze. Shuttle to the airport in the morning was also a plus since the wait for a taxi was over an hour long. Overall it was fine for a quick stay.

Comfortable convenient hotel ..we stayed the night before going home, it was close to airport and car rentals and gas stations. Many dining options…we had really good Italian and Syrian food…cute ice cream shop. Can walk to lots of food options (some open late) and the Troll house! Very basic accommodation but really all you need just to get some rest before or after flying. There was a breakfast avail for purchase bit we had to just get going so we did not try it. This was also close to Blue Lagoon..we did that after checking in, as our last activity as it is also in the area of the airport.

A small room for a solo traveler. Perfect. Water pressure was awesome in the very clean bathroom. Outside of the building is aged but inside is great. I booked because said there was a bar and restaurant. There is a small 3 seat bar area with limited drinks but the only food area was the prepaid breakfast station. I think most people will be staying here overnight for Keflavik airport. It was OK, and the room was clean and pleasant. For the price paid, breakfast was a little basic, and it would have been nice for hot water to be provided for hot drinks in a more accessible way (i.e., rather than reception staff having to boil a kettle).

Lovely view from the room. Breakfast was simple - glad it was included because not worth the price they wanted. Beware travellers, taxis in the area are hard to get on a timely basis and are costly. The shuttle ran about the same cost at 20-25 Euros. Since we had little luggage on a connecting flight, we opted to walk to the airport. It took less than an hour and had a very nice paved path all the way.

Lo elegimos por proximidad al aeropuerto y porque en la web se anuncia con servicio de acompañamiento al aeropuerto. La realidad es que acordamos se acompañados el día previo a las 7am para llegar a tiempo al vuelo y nadie nos esperaba. Y el servicio no existe como tal, te piden un taxi como en cualquier hotel pero debes costearlo tú. Pagamos por el desayuno y era muy básico. Debimos pedir sacar el pan y encender la cafetera...camarero despistado..

Our room was very nice, clean and the bed and pillows were super comfortable! Bathroom and shower also nice and clean. Great customer service at the front desk. There was a crowd of stranded passengers and they were being helped efficiently and treated very well even with some of them visibility frustrated at their situation. Good Continental breakfast and food shuttle service to the airport. We would definitely stay there again .. Thank you!

Always an easy place to use coming from or going to the airport. Clean and comfortable, but pretty bare bones and the breakfast is not really worth it. Not meant for staying any longer than one night, because you’re going to want to get either home, or on your way on your trip in Iceland. This is just a convenient stopover.

Front desk lady was very nasty. Denied us extra toilet paper because there was a partial roll in closet. I asked for a plug for sink cause it was missing and I have contacts to wash and she said “No, people steal them”, Light was broken in bathroom and dirty towel left over shower wall.
