Hotel Paris Lafayette

Nice hotel for what it is, no bells and whistles, very steep spiral staircase to the studio apartments, we didn’t mind that as we are young enough, but if your elderly this would not be ideal, rooms were cleaned regularly but the cleaning left a very strong chemical smell that lingered all day afterwards. Reception staff were nice and friendly, we were allowed to leave our suitcases in a locked room when we arrived several hours prior to check in without any hassle. The location is ok, lots of restaurants within 5-15 minutes walk and the train station is with a 10 minute walk.

This property is clean. Near the metro station and about 10-15 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord station. Not far from Galeries la Fayette. We couldn’t used the lift to get to the third floor for the entire time of our stay (not working), so we had to carry our luggage upstairs. Happy with the room very clean. And happy with the staff.

Allowed us to check in early which I appreciated. Elevator was down for maintenance but they had a porter carry our bags up for us.

El hoyel esta bien ubicado. Pero la habitacion es pequeña y.el baño mas pequeño aun. El aire acondicionado no funciona. Los dispensadores de jabon no funcionan.

Great location a block from Rue La Fayette. Plenty of restaurants everywhere. Bed was simple but firm (good). No bedside tables. Main problem was 3 days with no AC. They gave us a fan so we managed, but I bet others just changed to a hotel where AC was working. The weather was unusually hot. Coffee was an automated every thing machine. Not good. The old drip coffee cafe au lait I have had at other French hotels is really preferable. So we did not take advantage of breakfasts except for mini croissants and juice. Staff were very competent and kind.

We didn't have working AC for the entire duration of our stay.

AWFUL STAY!! We stayed for 5 nights during summer where the air conditioning was broken the entire time. We also misplaced our room key on the first night and reception were unable to provide a replacement which meant for the remainder of the trip we had to go downstairs to get them to lock/unlock our room. And just to top things off after a fun day exploring Paris we came back to find that my medication which I had put in the fridge had been moved and put into the freezer, making it now unusable. Reception were completely unhelpful sending me around in circles just to find someone to talk to. I was eventually told I would be compensated for the damage of my medication which is very expensive and have now been unable to get a response from the hotel for weeks!! Really really unacceptable.

Solid 3 star. Walkable to Gare du Nord, subway and high traffic areas. No air conditioning. The in-room portable fan wasn’t the best solution. The staff were great. Friendly and able to talk in English (without judging our poor French skills)

Really enjoy the place. We had a studio room and it was perfect for us. Only downside was the hike up the 4 floors of stairs. We normally take the stairs off this level but these stairs we extra special. If you have difficulty climbing stairs, this would be a deal breaker. We loved the location, across from a great coffee bakery shop. Less than 5 minutes from subway. It was great. Would stay here again for our next trip to Paris.

Central, elevator wasn't working, breakfast ok.

La camera assegnataci aveva il condizionatore rumorosissimo. Cambiata la camera siamo andati meglio nonostante il rumore ancora presente ma più basso della precedente camera. Purtroppo durante le pulizie (scarse) è stata dimenticata una finestra aperta e causa temporale si sono bagnate parte delle cose di mia figlia. Pulizie non proprio accurate e qualche volta letto non rifatto. Bagno minimale.

Die Unterkunft war o.k. Sehr kleines Zimmer, ungefähr eine Zelle. Soweit sauber ausser, dass ich voller Stiche von Bettwanzen war. Leider Teppich .

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is in a great location - 10 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord and has plenty of restaurants, cafes and bakeries nearby. There is also a well stocked supermarket across the road. This area feels less touristy which is great. The room was fairly small but completely fine and as expected - it looked exactly like the photo so we knew this would be the case. The bathroom and bed linen were impeccably clean. Wonderful hot powerful shower. We had the best nights sleep due to the very effective blackout curtains and no road outside our window. The staff on the reception desk were helpful and friendly and even let us use their printer. We didn’t have breakfast or use the dining area but it looked well stocked and good value for money. Lots of space to sit with laptops or to read a book. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Paris

Elevatoren virkede ikke, og fik ikke hjælp med mit kuffert, trods at jeg skulle op på 4 sal. Værelset var ikke som forventede på billederne. Der var pletter på lagene og dynen, så det virkede ikke så rent.

Grande chambre mais sans beaucoup de confort... Propreté limite dans salle de bain. Emballages pour chaque bout de pain pris au ptit dejeuner....

The hotel was very clean in all areas, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. Plus the hotel is very close to Gard du Nord. Breakfast was excellent for 10€. Luggage held after checkout for no charge Full english speaking staff on duty 24/7 Shower cubicle a little tight if you have a large frame.

Excellent little hotel with a great location in Paris - friendly staff, and room cleaning to a high standard! I only wish the AC could go a little bit colder but that's a minor complaint compared to the rest of my experience. I'd stay here again if I were to visit Paris in the future.

I recently stayed at the Rue de Lafayette Hotel in Paris for a quick overnight stop. Overall, it was a convenient and practical choice for a short stay, though it came with a few drawbacks. The location was excellent, easy to reach and close to public transport, which made getting around the city very simple. The welcome at reception was warm and efficient, and the staff made check-in smooth, which I appreciated after a long day of travel. The room itself was quite basic, with minimal furnishings and limited space, but it was clean and tidy, which is always a plus. Unfortunately, it did get rather hot during the night, but there is aircon. Another small issue was the soundproofing, you could hear pretty much everything from the bathroom, which wasn’t ideal for privacy. The lighting also caused some frustration, as the switches didn’t always seem to work properly. Despite these inconveniences, the hotel served its purpose well for a one-night stopover. It’s not a place I’d choose for a longer holiday or if I wanted a lot of comfort or amenities, but for a simple stay close to the city’s main attractions and transport links, it did the job.

Clean but extremely small room. The room barely fit the bed thus no place to open luggage or place any items. The hotel is old and could use some updates

The room was clean but very, very small - not at all what the photos suggested.

Specifically, the shower in our room was missing part of the water stripping so everytime we showered the water ran out onto the floor. Quite small rooms.

The shower was great and bathroom very clean, the bed comfortable. It's near the Gare du Nord, which is handy. The room was really small. You could hear a lot of plumbing from other rooms in the night. The road was often very quiet but suddenly very noisy and we didn't sleep very well as a result.

Hotel LaFayette was exactly what we were looking for during our trip to Paris! My partner and I wanted a convenient place to stay located in a “lived in” (not touristy) part of the city while still being near dining, the metro, and things to do. Hotel LaFayette fit the bill exactly! The check-in experience went very smoothly even though we were later than anticipated due to a flight delay. Front desk staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their team speaks both French and English, so for travelers who aren’t fluent in French, there are no concerns with getting checked in. The room we stayed in was quite small compared to an American hotel room, but we were constantly out in the city doing things so it fit our needs exactly - a place to come back to for a shower and bed. While the beds were a little firmer than my preferred taste, the location and price made our stay worth it! There is breakfast available at the hotel for a fee, but we did not end up trying it. Everything looked great and we saw many other hotel guests enjoying breakfast before heading out for the day. There is a cute Patisserie and Boulangerie just down the street near the closest Metro station as well as several restaurants for lunch and dinner. The location is highly walkable and we enjoyed ourselves very much!

The service was very good, very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. :)

Thank you to team Hotel la Fayette! My daughter and I were made extremely comfortable throughout our stay. Davidi and his staff were welcoming and helped us with all our requirements. Location is spot on, metro link took us to all major sites, very regular including the buses. Hotel staff advised us with restaurant recommendations and always asked if we needed anything else. Breakfast was free and good. Walkable from Gare du Nord and a closer entrance. Staffs were helpful and it seemed there was a person at the front desk 24 hours.

Le petit déjeuner est varié, bon. Chambre petite et ascenseur (unique) étroit, tout comme l'escalier. Je n'ai vraiment pas apprécié qu'on me demande au check-in de payer à nouveau la chambre (déjà réglée sur Expédia) puis qu'on me réclame à nouveau au check-out les taxes de séjour (réglées au check-in)... Une perte de temps quand on a un timing serré avec une autre réservation et un vol...

Great hotel just 10 min walk from gard du nord train station, pleasant reception and breakfast room, lift to all floors, WiFi great and rooms are lovely - I had a upper deluxe room which I believe are slightly bigger. Newly decorated, large flat screen tv (only bbc news In English) kettle with coffees and teas, hairdryer in bathroom - no view as mine overlooked otger bedrooms but we were barely there so not an issue, air con and large windows … Not luxurious but definitely adequate for a short break Area around the hotel was great with a street full of bars, restaurants, shops etc and felt safe in the evening..

Hôtel situé à 3 min du métro Poissonnière et 9 min à pied des Grands Boulevards. Accueil sympathique et enregistrement rapide. Chambre au 4e étage au calme, bien agencée et propre. Possibilité de prendre un petit dej sur place. Nombreux restaurants ou épiceries aux alentours.

Excellent places beside metro and easily walkable from Gare du Nord. 25 min walk to Montmartre. Would go back for sure. Lots of little shops etc around for groceries, croissants etc.

Dejligt lille hotel i stille gade, kun 50 meter fra metrostation med direkte forbindelse til Louvre, La Fayette og Notre Dame. Fin morgenmadsbuffet og yderste venligt personale. Vi vender helt sikkert tilbage.

I like the breakfast. It seemed as if the room cleaning situation was unclear. They should explain that at the front desk during check-in. If room cleaning is supposed to be every other day, I got it done (without asking) every day, except when I had put the "Do not disturb" sign out for maybe 1/2 hour.

Hotel rooms are basic, but this is only a 3 star hotel and is very very clean. dining area is nice and fresh, plenty of choice for breakfast. nice polite helpful staff. Could really do with a small fridge in the room and a mirror in the bedroom as the only mirror available in our room was on the inside door of the bathroom so if someone is in the shower then you have no mirror to do hair and make up in - so would suggest a further mirror in the bedroom area. Beds were made everyday and towels changed. Beds, linen and pillows were really comfortable and we slept like babies. Really enjoyed our stay - would recommend. Reception staff, nice , helpful and friendly. Thank you a lovely stay.
