Clean room, decent sized. Bar and restaurant are both small and without character - functional but not comfortable or stylish. Easy to park the car (albeit for a £10 charge) and close to the main road and shopping area.

Easy to book in and check out. Small, but good bar available. Clean rooms and reasonable price when I booked it for a Thursday, although I noticed the price for a room would be much higher for the weekend. I will stay here again during the week though. Within easy walking distance of the main street and several pubs and restaurants and easy to get to, being just off the A33 main road. Parking was available, albeit they charged £10 a day for it. Breakfast was also available but quite expensive so we went to a nearby Costa.

When we entered our room it was so HOT! The sun was coming straight into the room and the windows could only open a small portion. We had to prop open our door into the public hallway for the majority of the evening. The room temperatures didn’t fall below 76 degrees until after 11pm. The hotel rooms didn’t have air conditioning. One of the staff told me the rooms on the front side of the hotel get very hot and the other side stays cool. Something the hotel could do is at least the windows could open more and the house keeping could close the drapes so the sun didn’t heat up the room like an oven. We would have checked into another hotel but everything was booked during the boat show.

Check in staff pleasant & welcoming. My first room allocated to me was already occupied. Opened door to find dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom. There was a suitcase in the room & cups had been used. As I left the guests allocated this room arrived. They were very surprised to find me leaving their room. They were annoyed as their room keys didn’t work as the key I was given cancelled theirs. Returned to reception with all my luggage to be allocated a vacant room. Room & bed looked clean. Furniture was very tatty. Edges of desk looked like it had been used to open beer bottles. All the melamine stripped away. Windows ill fitting allowing in the rain. Not air conditioned. Windows only opened partially. Extremely warm room. Woke up to find condensation running down the panes of glass. Woke up in a bath of sweat despite sleeping au natural. Check out smooth. You get what you pay for. This place needs air conditioning & a refurb.

Room was really cold and the heater we were given was not adequate. the shower head was covered in black mould . The furniture was badly chipped and worn. Continental breakfast was terrible and not as shown in your advertisement.

Really disappointed in this hotel. Stayed one night in room 103. Huge stain on carpet in room, chipped furniture, dust round skirtings , splashes of goodness knows what on door of bathroom. So hot in room - although a fan was provided. We have stayed in Ibis hotels before and they have always been nice hence the reason we chose this one but never again. Didn’t complain although should’ve done! Honestly check out this room and give us a refund!

I would never stay at this dirty old hotel ever again. There was a long hair in the sheets. My husband and I both have short grey hair. Carpets were dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. Very difficult to get in it and more difficult to get out of the bath. No plug charges for phones. There wasn’t even a phone in the room to call the phone desk. The worst place my husband and I have ever stayed. This place was $200 pounds a night. I went down to the front desk to cancel and go somewhere else. She said we booked through Expedia. Take it up with them. If you’re travelling to SouthHampton to take a cruise,I would definitely advise you to STAY AWAY from this rundown excuse for a hotel.

Very basic rooms that have seen a lot better days. The carpets were threadbare and itchy, the to had a mahogany wood surround that stuck out at a wrong angle. The harbour view rooms are not harbour view at all - more like facing the harbour direction. The wood chip walls were dirty. The shower was basic with very little water pressure. Okay stay if you are not in the room very much.

I paid double the price of their 'budget' hotel believing I would get a superior quality of room and service but this wasn't the case. The room was small as were the twin beds (much smaller than a travelodge) and I paid a premium for harbour view but could only just see cruise ships in the distance. The literature stated 24/7 finger food available and as a type 1 diabetic in the midst of a hypo, went to the bar to purchase this at 12 midnight but was told "we dont provide food at this tine of night" The literature stated free wifi but was told I had to pay until i showed the clerk my itinerary stating free wifi and he reluctantly asked me for my phone and logged me on. My fellow guest could not access it however. I paid £160 for 1 night and feel totally ripped off.

The hotel is in a great area close to shops and was perfect for us visiting the nearby university open day . We found the room and beds very small . The shower was terrible and just had a dribble of water, my daughter has thick hair and it didn’t rinse through her hair . The worst thing was the noise from the rooms above . At 2:30am it sounded like a party was going on with loud music and talking and furniture being moved around. I’m sure they we’re playing football!! The breakfast in the morning was very poor . There were no hash browns or mushrooms . The sausages and bacon were cold and hard . I won’t be staying in an ibis again it’s really put me off ! I was looking forward to staying away with my daughter as we don’t get to do it often and we were really disappointed. On a plus side the staff were very polite and attentive.

Booked a room a few months before the visit, and checked in online when promted. When we arrived around 10pm after a day of travel, there was no room for us. Terrible service, which is not expected from a well known and trusted chain like this. They just want to take your money, and not provide the service.

Key cards failed frequently but we were helped by the wonderful Katey at the front desk! She was truly an ambassador of the Ibis brand! Hotel provides a great , walkable location to the cruise terminals , shopping and more! Try there pizza!!

Perfect overnighter for connecting to the Cruise dock. 5 min level walk to the cruise dock and 5 minutes to the Southampton Central railway station to London. Friendly staff.

The property was very close almost to every thing. Train station, shopping, restaurants mall are walking distance. Very close to the cruise port as well.

Conveniently located at walking distance from the train station Southampton Central and just a few minutes away by cab from the Mayflower cruise terminal where I boarded QM2 the next day (7£ for the ride). The room was spacious enough, quiet. Checkin was quick, staff was friendly and efficient. Checkout was even quicker, just had to drop the room card in the checkout box

Staff were friendly, very easy check in. Breakfast was much better than I expected with both hot and cold food items. The room was clean but the bed could have been a bit more comfortable. It was in a prime location both for the cruise port and bus station and shops.

Very convenient for an overnite stay before cruising out of Southhampton. Staff very efficient and friendly, close to train station and hotel has onsite bar. Restaurant was closed but sister hotel closeby had nice restaurant. Breakfast was very good! Would highly recommenend!!

Check in very slow. Queues to the door. Breakfast only ok. Hot items looked like they had been sitting there. Had to ask for tomatoes to be cooked. Fresh Coffee machine did not work. Had to make do with instant and hot water in a flask! Just about ok for one night. Would not stay here again.

The hotel is in a great area close to shops and was perfect for us visiting the nearby university open day . We found the room and beds very small . The shower was terrible and just had a dribble of water, my daughter has thick hair and it didn’t rinse through her hair . The worst thing was the noise from the rooms above . At 2:30am it sounded like a party was going on with loud music and talking and furniture being moved around. I’m sure they we’re playing football!! The breakfast in the morning was very poor . There were no hash browns or mushrooms . The sausages and bacon were cold and hard . I won’t be staying in an ibis again it’s really put me off ! I was looking forward to staying away with my daughter as we don’t get to do it often and we were really disappointed. On a plus side the staff were very polite and attentive.

We loved our brief stay in this hotel. Nothing to complain about with our twin room. Very clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful and we enjoyed a couple of cocktails, in the bar. The breakfast was adequate, so all in all, we would definitely stay there again. It took a bit of working out on how to get to the Hotel from the train station, by foot. We didn't attempt to walk to Southampton docks, so we ordered a taxi and were impressed that ordering a taxi was very simple and efficient,

All staff provided excellent customer care with a very friendly open and approachable manner We were early for check in so decided to wait in the reception area which is smart bright and vibrant, coffee and croissant were fabulous. On the downside our room was very tired and dated but clean, with very clean white bedding, for this I can forget the dated room.

I chose the location near the cruise port. The propert was clean and the staff was very nice and professional. But in this day and age, knowing there are many international travelers, the failure to have USB ports in the rooms is inexcusable. Also, some hand towels/wash cloths would have been nice. I had to figure out how to open the drain valve in the tub.
