The communication & staff at this hotel are fantastic! Everyone had smiles, said hello, asked if we needed anything. Christa in the inside bar makes a great strawberry martini. Chase outside at the pool/tiki bar is fantastic as well. Will definitely be back!

The communication from the hotel started from the start with text messages. They were extremely quick to respond. The entire staff was so extremely polite & professional. They made you feel like you were important to them. Restaurant prices were really reasonable. Christa in the inside bar makes a great strawberry martini. Her & Chase at the Tiki bar were absolutely fantastic!!! More hotels could take lessons from the staff here. Can’t wait to go back!

Staff was friendly and efficient. Lobby and public spaces were modern, clean and funky. Love Guy’s artwork and galleries throughout. Beautiful and wide beach, nice pool area and Tki bar. Breakfast was delish and reasonable priced with excellent service. Room was clean and quiet and nice side view of ocean. Great area and will be back and recommend.

When we booked, the hotel had great reviews overall. Within a month of our trip, however, we saw a lot of negative reviews, and I understand why. The beds and sheets are uncomfortable, and the floors in the room were dirty. Day two of being there we found a roach in our room- we didn’t want to make a big deal, thinking it could be a fluke. So we told the front desk and asked for a deep clean of the room. All they did was make the bed (with the same sheets, not new ones) and give us fresh towels. Didn’t even vacuum. We checked the room and didn’t see any other bugs, so we figured we would give it another shot. The night before we left a huge roach ran across the floor while we were packing- that was the final straw. We checked out and tried reaching out to management- surprise surprise, we never heard back. The plus sides of the hotel are the easy beach access and the tiki bar. Those were great. We are thoroughly disappointed with managements lack of response to ROACHES IN THE HOTEL. They seem unbothered. Unless they make some major changes I would not stay here.

Room was so nasty! Buggers on the bathroom wall, floor dirty, hair on the bathroom shower wall and in bed. Pool was so full of people, no room to even stand…no one gets out to pee cause it’s a walk to the porter potty’s. Crazy this is classified as a resort.

Our room was right next to the elevator. the bed was against the wall and all we heard was it running and loud grinding. The bathroom sink was painted with latex paint which was peeling. The maid did not wipe down bathroom sink or vanity as there was evidence of previous use. The maid did not wipe down table where coffee maker was. Not reallys ure what she did other than make the beds. and finally, the person who checked us in asked me for a form of payment. I said please use this card, which I handed to her and not the card on file that the deposot was made on. later on I checked my balance and she had billed the entire amount to the card on file. the grounds were nice but the room we were in was old and noisy.

Pool and Beach access were the best parts of the resort. The elevators were old, dirty, and made sketchy noises. The walls were thin and we could easily hear the neighbors in the bathroom. Great location.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the resort given the poor reviews some people gave the hotel. First thing I noticed and was appreciative of was that there was not an additional "resort fee" tacked onto the bill, although they could have based on what other hotels offer with that fee. All the employees were friendly and welcoming. The housekeeping staff seemed to be cleaning and recleaning areas throughout the day. The pool was immaculate. There was a nice gazebo and walkway to the beach, from where we could watch turtles eating and moving around between dunes and burrows. Our 5th floor ocean-view room had a great view of the beach and sunrise. On the negative side, The room was noisy through the closed connecting doors, which was due to about a 1" gap between the bottom of the door and the tile floor, so we stuffed a towel in the space. The carpet is ready for replacement, and the door to our balcony took some extra work to get it closed. All of these were minor inconveniences and would not prevent us from booking here again.

The location was good, the staff friendly, but this Hotel is genuine need of refurbishment. Also was not aware of how many animals would be allowed to stay at this hotel. A lot of barking heard throughout. We heard a lot of noises from other rooms through the air ducts. There was water damage on our ceiling on 4th floor. If I had to stay in this area again, I am sure there are better choices.

Everything was old! The carpets were very worn, the mattresses were awful and the bathrooms were so small! There were small flies everywhere in my room and my coffee maker was broken! What the heck?!!! You could invest some money in your hotel! I spent over 500.00 for two nights and I felt like I needed another shower when I left ! What a shame and a joke!

My partial ocean view balcony really only looked at the parking lot and some maintenance equipment. The one elevator was super slow. The carpet in the room looked old and dingy and the AC on the balcony was extremely loud.

Incredible staff all around. Very clean facility. Room was very clean. Easy access to the beach. Nice pool. The only thing I saw that could change was updating a few things technology wise (ie mini fridge and microwave were on their last leg). But overall I was honestly surprised how big and accommodating the room was. The walls are a little thin, so you can hear people next door pretty easily. But it was still very quiet at night. I would just suggest a sound machine as a back up for the night time.

Hit and miss. Great warm welcoming employees. Twice the room key didn’t work….was given the wrong room number! Housekeeping ignored the DND sign, a/c wouldn’t turn off and lamp had broken bulb. Front desk manger handled everything superbly with grace and many apologies . The restaurant has great employees. Food was good but a very limited menu and needs work on lighting and atmosphere. Hotels playlist is excellent,

We had such high hopes for this place and we were surprised how such a beautiful place could have such poor customer service. Ignored at check in, the bar and breakfast. If you want coffee you’ll hafta go behind the bar yourself to get it. Even when there is more employees than customers. If you do happen to get a drink at night you’ll get the wrong ones and still be overcharged and guilt tripped by the server that she can make new ones and take another 30 minutes… this is me, my wife and dad btw not a large group. The worst part was the failing elevator. It stopped working the second night and was making crazy noises the night before. GH is to great of an artist to have such a poor staff and maintenance team leave things broken and untrained. I work as a 30 yr server for Harrah’s casino Cherokee and know hospitality inside and out… this is not it

I sent 2 employees to stay at the hotel over night the hotel is really nice but the staff were so rude they accused my employees of hitting someones car and called the police on them when they had done nothing wrong and the manager was following them around the hotel they told me it was a very horrible experience

Sheryl at the front desk was amazing, helpful and happy. We asked housekeeping to change some sheets that had blood on them but they failed to do so, first try. Second try, done! Great place. Will return for sure. The restaurant and staff were top rate. The food was great and nice to not have to leave for all meals. Bartender was spot on asking a rude patron to turn down his phone (LOUD sports game). He reminded the patron "this is a family restaurant." Classy guy and handled it well.

Checked in for three days . Had to leave a day earlier. Front desk did give me a refund for that day . Rooms are clean . Pool was fantastic and the staff went above and beyond standard. Will return in a few months

Not sure what qualifies as a "resort" but this was a basic hotel. It was clean and comfortable. There was an extensive Guy Harvey shop in the hotel lobby. It was in a great location, right on the beach. The room was pretty basic with a Guy Harvey painting on one wall. The lobby restaurant/bar seemed nice but we did not visit. Front desk staff was nice. Expected a little more just based on the name of the place but it wasn't bad. I probably wouldn't stay here again but don't regret it.

Right on the beach. It's a short walk to get to the ocean but it's a walk across the wide sandy beach. The resort seemed to be well maintained. There are many restaurants within a short drive and a very good restaurant at the resort.

I absolutely loved this place! The location was awesome and the restaurant food was phenomenal! I purchased several things at the gift shop, including a very nice outfit for my friend to wear to dinner. My only complaint is that the cleaning person could’ve done a better job in our room.

Perfect location on the beach, restaurant, and tiki bar on site, so you don't have to leave the property if you don't want to. Service was a little slow at the restaurant, but we were in a big group, so that might be the reason. Chairs and umbrella rental hours at 9-4, and they don't let you rent them out after 2 pm, so note to self that I need to reserve them in the morning and plan accordingly. Would stay here again.
