Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse

The hotel had no air conditioner for the entire 6 nights we stayed there with a family of 5. They gave us fan which did very little. Please make sure to find out if there is air conditioner before booking this hotel. Alexander the receptionist was very professional and helpful.

The location was very nice it was close to public transport. The AC sis not work the 6 nights we stayed however the staff was very accommodating especially Alexandre he was very kind and professional.

Great stay. Breakfast was always hot and ready - good variety. Staff was always helpful. Room was good size for 4 and spacious. Water stations on each floor was awesome. Will recommend and stay again.

The hotel is great with very excellent breakfast. The reason for not excellent rate is that we stayed there during heat wave and the air conditioning was not working.

What stood out was that all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our flight was delayed which meant we would get in well past midnight so we gave them a quick call giving them a heads up - and they assured us it wasn’t an issue. We were quickly checked in and given access to our room. The room was a tight squeeze, with the door opening pretty much into the storage area. It was 30C during our stay and the AC worked well. The shower tray needs to be deeper to avoid over flow, but other than that, everything was fine. I should mention they have free water refilling stations on each floor. The gym is very basic with no free weights or exercise mats. Finally I should add that on the Sunday they had a magician doing tricks, which had lots of families smiling. Location wise, it’s about 20mins to all key sights, but the train station is a five min stroll. Overall a pleasant stay and if you need to be in this area, I would recommend. The staffs friendliness left a lasting impression.

Excellent location, very close to the train station and public transport links to take you to Paris landmarks. Parking is available at the hotel although we parked at nearby underground car park. Staff at the hotel were fantastic, breakfast is reasonable cost and there is plenty of variety, even for vegetarians.

The property was very clean and are sheets were changed everyday. The staff were very professional and helpful. The hotel is about 8 - 10 mins walk to Pasteur or Montparnasse Bienvenue metro station. It is in a very clean and quiet neighbourhood. We enjoyed our 3 day family vacation.

Something needs to be done about the smell in this property, you feel it as soon as you come in- we had two rooms and in one of the rooms it was unbearable!

The people who worked there were so nice. The breakfast was fantastic. Very comfortable and clean room. I will definitely use Novotel again in the future and recommend to my friends and family.

The hotel is filthy and room service is non existent. For daily cleaning, they just make the bed. There is absolutely no cleaning or vacuuming done on a daily basis.

Overall, Novotel was a good hotel. The staff were excellent – professional, welcoming, and attentive. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the location was very convenient, especially with easy access to public transportation. That said, the cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. The bathroom showers had visible black mold, which suggests an underlying issue that hasn’t been addressed for some time. Additionally, the carpets in the rooms were dirty. While carpet can add comfort, I don’t think it’s practical in high-traffic hotel areas since it becomes dirty quickly and is difficult to maintain. If the hotel can address these cleanliness concerns, it would significantly elevate the overall guest experience.

The foyer is clean and the staff are friendly, but the rooms are quite tired. While everything was fine, the walls and skirting etc were all badly scuffed. The bathroom was okay, but there were obvious signs of wear and tear on fixtures and fittings. There was ongoing construction directly opposite the hotel during my stay. Between 7.30 am and 6pm there was a lot of noise / vibrations etc from the site. It didn’t bother me as I was out, but there was no indication of this when I booked through hotels.com. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Located centrally thr hotel is value for money..but rooms are too small. Wr had a family room...it was also very small and congested. It even did not have cupboards to keep yr stuff. Bfast spread was good and staff helpful. I guess generally hotel rooms in Europe are small...apart from it there was nothing wrong with the hotel.

Chambre spatieuse, grand lit confortable, clame, et relativement bien placé en tout cas pour accès Gare.

Wonderful location and helpful staff. We booked a triple which meant that it had double beds and a pull out sofa.

Small closet and only three hangers. We could not store our clothes.

We had a lovely family stay here, great for children. The room was a nice size with good facilities including water stations and coffee machine. It was very clean and the staff were pleasant. Nearby patisserie was a hit too!

Toilet is separated from showerroom, not convenient to wash hands. Toilet is always clocked. No proper glass to wash teeth... Location is good. Room is very clean.

AC was broken and never fixed. I was given 2 fans and I asked to be moved to a different hotel since the staff recommended it but they never did. They never called me back like they said they would in order to follow up. There was no follow up from management about any of this. The sofa beds were very uncomfortable. Even my tired kids had a hard time sleeping.

Wir möchten Novotel Montparnasse wärmstens empfehlen! Für uns als Familie ist es wichtig: saubere ruhige Zimmer tolles Frühstück gute Lage unser Zimmer in Paris Montparnasse ist gross, sauber, hell. Bad und WC sind getrennt. Wenn man näher hinschaut, merkt man im Bad, dass man renovieren könnte, aber es ist jammern auf hohen niveau. Nachts ist es ruhig. An jedem Geschoss werden Wasser Fontäne zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Frühstück. Nein, DAS FRÜHSTÜCK. Hier wird man nicht enttäuscht. Das Buffet ist wie gewohnt bei Novotel grandios. Frisches obst, Rühreiern, natürlich Croissant/Pain au chocolat. Einzigartig ist: jeden Morgen kommt ein Animateur und macht was besonderes für die Kindern. Zauberer, Skulptur von Luftballons, und Schminke (schicke Eiffelturm oder Blumen auf dem Arm). Wirklich alle total nett und bemüht, die kleine und grosse Gäste zu unterhalten - dafür DANKE! Der Frühstücksraum ist nicht sehr gross, wenn man nicht warten möchte, sollte man vor 8.30 gehen Wir wollten nach Chartres Bordeaux fahren, daher war die Nähe zu Montparnasse wichtig. Die Nachbarschaft ist an sich ist ok, aber leider sind die wenige Restaurants im August direkt in der nähe geschlossen gewesen. Aber nicht schlimm, um Montparnasse gibt es jede Menge. Metro: 5 min laufen bei Pasteur oder in 10 bei Montparnasse, man ist gut angebunden, aber die große Sehenswürdigkeiten sind nicht sehr nah/zu fuss zu erreichen. Personal ist stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Danke, wir hatten 3 fabelhafte Tage!

Our stay at the Novotel was perfect for the last stage of a 3 week adventure. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and informative. We were given a complimentary drink, complimentary tickets for a boat cruise and they helped with tour/attraction bookings! We had a great stay!!

Property is overall clean with staff that can speak English and French. My only issue is that they didn’t clean my room on my last night. They came into the room to refill the mini bar and cups but left my dirty towels on the floor and did not change my bedsheets. Pros: - bus stop nearby - clean and spacious rooms - mini bar is free for executive & suite rooms Cons: - toothbrush and toothpaste not provided daily - upon requests of items, they’ll ask you to come get it yourself. I’ve been to other 4 and 5 star hotels and they do deliver your items upon request.

The hotel is extremely slow to fix problems in the rooms. My sink was clogged on day 1 and was fixed on the last dat of my 3 night stay after repeated reminders. Water was cut off in the morning for whole hotel and had to go out without any shower and had to use restrooms outside in a cafe. Did not receive any apology from the hotel or any clear communication on when it would be restored. The water was fixed later in the evening.

J'ai été choquée par l'état des lieux en arrivant. Pour un hôtel 4 étoiles : la première chose que je vois en entrant est une poubelle défoncée devant l'ascenseur ou traine aussi un portant métallique. Des prises mal entretenues avec des câbles encombrent les bureaux de la réception.Une impression de fouillis et de manque de netteté et de propreté se dégage de l'ensemble. Des réceptions d'auberge de jeunesse font meilleure impression. Les couloirs à l'étage confirment cette sensation, moquettes sales. Seule la chambre est correcte et assez spacieuse. Le personnel manque à la réception, on attend souvent longtemps pour pouvoir être reçus que ce soit à l'arrivée ou au départ.

Smelled like crap. Beds on the floor. No help. Felt like we bothered them. Hotels.com is horrible for fixing issues

Heerlijk hotel, goed ontbijt. Schoon en goede bereikbaarheid met metro (5 min lopen) en goede garage onder hotel. In de buurt veel leuke restaurantjes.

Clean and comfortable. Felt secure. Staff was friendly. Near train station so convenient for catching the train but a bit out of the way for seeing the sights. Very good price and excellent value.

Nice location within walking distance to multiple metros. Hotel was nice. Morning coffee was expensive.

If you has bought the breakfast, come in until 9AM, after9:30h it is full , you have to wait about 10 minutes i the line to enter and food are recharge. So the breakfss is to 6:30 until 9AM in fact, from 9 to 10AM nothing worjs in breakfast.

Trevlig personal, snabb incheckning. Skönt med morgonrock och tofflor. Dåligt balsam. Fantastisk frukostbuffé! Bästa jag kan tänka mig. Bra med mycket restauranger i närheten.

It was in a safe section and convenient to the metro and also walkable to a small shops and restaurants around. English wasn’t an issue although the dining options in the hotel itself could be better, especially on the weekend.

Sehr freundlicher Service und Empfang- für Familien absolut geeignet! Die Kinder wurden unfassbar herzlich Willkommen geheißen, es gab kleine Souvenirs als Geschenke, beim Frühstück einen Zauberer etc.- die Minibar im Zimmer war kostenfrei. Das Frühstück ist nur zu empfehlen, eine sehr vielfältige tolle Auswahl mit zahlreichen gesunden Optionen. Selten so ein gutes Frühstück in einem Hotel erlebt. Das Hotel liegt ruhig, aber zentral an die Metro angebunden, einige Haltestellen sind im Umkreis in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen. Ebenfalls fussläufig sind mehrere Cafés, Restaurants etc
