London Lodge Hotel

Pros- clean, kind staff, AC, mini bar that has space for your own yogurt or drink. Convenient to transit. Has a lift. Cons- stairs to enter - not uncommon in London- but also in some cases even w the lift you’ll need to manage stairs. That can be an issue if you’re not strong and able bodied. WiFi in my particular room was weak. Idk if that’s an issue throughout.

Very friendly staff. The boss made an effort to talk to us personally. Location is good with easy access to the subway, bus-stop, eating places, launderette, supermart. Property is well maintained, clean, has lift and individual aircon unit in the room.

Be prepared to lift your luggage up the entrance stairs and also a few steps to your room. There is an elevator, but still some a few stairs depending on what level your room is on. Staff were kind and helpful. Storing my luggage was a breeze on my day of check-out. When I picked it up in the afternoon, I was kindly offered use of the bathrooms before I left and to wait in the reception area for my ride. It is a seven minute walk from the closest underground on a quiet neighbourhood street.

The street was quiet and the staff was excellent! They were very friendly and accommodating. They changed the towels when asked and provided a lovely tea for us. The other guests were noisy early and late. You could hear them in the hall and in their rooms. The elevator is small, but there are stairs. It was about seven minutes walk to the underground station.

Really nice staff, room was nice and clean with homely touches. The location was really good - just over 5mins walk from Earls Court metro. The neighbourhood felt safe and had a selection of fast food restaurants and pubs close by. Would definitely staff here again.

I liked that the hotel felt like London but with modern amenities. Air conditioning was so nice for these Americans. Staff super nice. Everything was really clean. Overall I highly recommend.

Very friendly welcome. Everything about this hotel was good and we will certainly choose to stay here again. It’s very convenient for the underground links into central London. The room was very clean and comfortable and check out time was later than expected. Very good value !

Front desk person was extremely warm and helpful. She even took us up to our room and explained amenities. The kettle in the room was a nice touch. That said, this was an expensive hotel and the bathroom toilet seat was disgusting and needs to be replaced immediately. That alone spoils the overall impression.

Loved the property. Well maintained - the room was decent sized and cleaning was excellent. Appreciated having a breakfast option on property with good portions. Very walkable as the tube was 10 mins walk away with 2 lines available to downtown and the airport. Selected that area as we were attending a Chelsea game and it was spot on as we were able to walk to and from Stamford Bridge. Highly recommend!

Clean and comfortable stay, we loved it! The location was perfect, central and walkable to so much, and close to the bus and train routes. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall a great place for a short 2 night stay. The location is nice, near tube station and in a very quiet area. You will definitely feel like you are in London staying here. Only true downside was the cleanliness. We noticed about a centimeter of dust on top of the mirror and cabinet in the bathroom. The towels, beds and floors were clean however.

Our recent stay at London Lodge Hotel was very enjoyable .My husband & I stayed for 7 nights & found the hotel to be clean, quiet & comfortable. Our room was relatively small , but it had everything we needed & the bed was very comfortable. It was an easy walk to Earls Court tube station, in a safe area. The staff were friendly & helpful . We would stay there again, next time we visit London.

Excellent location which is a good 90% of the reason to stay here. It was very quiet but within walking distance to tube stations and plenty of restaurants, shopping, Kensington Palace, etc. Our room, a superior twin, didn't feel so superior though. It was in the basement and our bathroom was tiny (not unusual, I know). The shower had no soap dish or anyplace to set your shampoo or shower gel. A few more hooks would have helped as well. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We Americans aren't used to using a remote to control the AC! Once that was sorted, on the hottest day of the year in London, we were able to settle in. The offered Tea on arrival day was very nice and I'm glad we took them up on that.

Great value with this hotel. Close to public transport and very easy getting to all parts of London. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. Quiet area for sleeping.

Out stay at this hotel was beyond my expectations. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff were outstanding. The warm welcome when you arrive sets the stage for the visit. We checked in early, leaving our luggage in reception as our room was not yet ready. The staff took our luggage to our room, hung our jackets, and then walkers to our room when we came back. We actually booked an extra night, replacing a reservation at a different hotel. The location is excellent, with transportation in walking distance as well as restaurants and shops. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and lovely decor. I would highly recommend the London Lodge and would not hesitate to stay again.

I was in one of the hotels executive suites. In my view, the room could’ve used a few upgrades, including a new bed and bedding and some new light fixtures. A/C Was really nonexistent, and when I asked about it, I was directed to a portable wall mount. The other option was opening a window. Might get pretty warm if you’re staying there during the summer months.

An easy 5 minute walk to the tube stop. The area is nice with some convenient fast food/easy restaurants within walking distance. My room was small but clean and very comfortable, and included a setup for tea including milk & sugar. The lobby is super cute with water and books available if you are waiting. In person the staff were great, so warm, welcoming, and helpful. But when I reached out via email I found it inconsistent and less friendly. Strongly recommend booking refundably only--they were not receptive at all when I inquired about the possibility of making changes to my booking, even months in advance. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely visit again.

Wonderful small hotel in Kensington. Tranquil location, upper floor rooms have delightful views. Nicole at the front desk was great. She assisted us with directions, dining options and called for tech assistance with our TV. Our double room was spacious. On a negative sude - the property is a little dated in places but it dod not affect our stay much.

It was my 2-nd visit to London and stay at this hotel - definitely I was very satisfied.The location is very good offering access to public transportation, the staff very professional ,caring and hospitable.Mandy ,the owner, is very special creating a nice person to person relation that makes you feel welcome in that place.Malvina, the manager is very kind ,caring and helpful.The ladies at the reception -very nice and helpful.I highly recommend this hotel.

Great staff and a lovely property

The first time staying at the London Lodge Hotel and this area of London, great hotel, wonderful and helpful staff, great location for the underground. When we arrived at the hotel and check-in we had a staff member show us to our room and was greeted with fresh roses and fresh fruit. We were there on Coronation Week-end, after we fought the crowd on The Mall, we went back to the hotel where they had set up a reception in the restaurant with sandwiches, scones, snacks, tea, coffee and we were able to watch the ceremony on TV. Wonderful time.

The London Lodge Hotel was perfect for our recent stay. We will be going back, and look forward to seeing everyone again. Thank you very much.

The hotel is cozy & class! The staff was so friendly & tided our room every day, refreshing the entire room and refilling the coffee/tea supplies . We enjoyed our first British breakfast, which was hot, fresh & delicious! We’ll be back!!

This is our third stay at London Lodge. Always enjoy the surrounding neighborhood, easy access to tube station especially if one is flying in from Heathrow or arriving by train from Kings Cross. Both are on the Piccadilly Line as is Earl's Court tube station. Accessible ramps and lifts for ease of handling luggage. The hotel is a few blocks away but all flat. We are in our 70's and have not had any issues as we are seasoned travelers. Staff is lovely, room is quiet on upper floor. We tried breakfast this time and it was lovely.

The London Lodge Hotel is a convinient quiet traditional hotel in Kensington. The price for the rooms are fantastic considering other hotels in the area. Rooms are spacious, clean and have nice bathrooms with excellent service and good beds. Breakfast at the London Lodge is continental or traditional English. We had continental whilst we were at the hotel, which included fruits, cereals, bread, cheese, meats and more. It was well presented, cleanly prepared and was always being carefully refilled by the staff to ensure the best quality food was available for the guests at all times. The most fantastic aspect of this hotel is it's staff, from its warm and welcoming atmosphere, to its pleasant smiles and goodbyes, the London Lodge felt consistently like a place we longed to return to. Special shout out goes to the reception staff of whom me met Juliette, Nicole and Tomoko. The reception staff were the most warm and welcoming people who would always solve problems and give amazing recommendations. Staff at the reception truly make the hotel a place which feels like a home from home, and I will miss the hotel dearly because of their warm and pleasant conversation. I would absolutely recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. I have stayed in many hotels in London, but none have made us feel as welcomed and at home as this hotel did. The staff are a major part of this. I will be staying here again, whenever I have the opportunity to return to London.

I love London Lodge Hotel. It’s a serene and gracious place on a quiet street (open your window and you’ll hear birds and the nearby church’s bells, not traffic) run by kind and helpful people, who make you feel at home. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed and was quite lovely as well. The continental breakfast was excellent, with lots of options including fresh berries and homemade porridge. I would happily stay here again

I loved all the choices at breakfast and the host is very pleasant. I was disappointed that that was the only meal available. I pointed out the lack of decaffeinated drinks in the bedroom and was told this would be rectified.
