We loved our stay at the Motor Lodge. The room was comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon by the pool. There are fire pits, however they were popular so we didn't get a chance to sit by one in the evening. Next time, we will try the sauna.

Very aesthetic well kept property. Very trendy, great staff. Lots of guests around because it’s enjoyable and has everything you need- great deck with fire pits to have your morning coffee, food, snacks, craft cocktails, games, pool. Downsides: The walls are paper thin. If you’re a light sleeper you need to go elsewhere. Gym is very small. With two people it feels crowded. Everything is well kept and very clean, but the weights and bench are budget/rickety.

Decent hotel but the BS hidden /mandatory “amenity fees” have got to stop. They charged us EACH $20 extra “fee” for a bunch of things that we did NOT use or could not use. In-room Coffee - don’t drink coffee. Wifi - never used it. Pool - wasn’t open after 9 or before 9 when we left. Fitness center - a total joke size of a closet and never used it.

Great option for our 2-night stay in Flagstaff! We booked the sauna & cold plunge... it was a great way to relax after a long morning hike. Great drinks & a fun atmosphere in the evening with the outdoor firepits. We were really happy with this choice!

Best value for your buck, the place is gorgeous, excellent food and drinks. Also you can see the stars from the patio while by the fire. I enjoyed the jacuzzi and the pool as well, although the pool is not heated.

Overall our stay at HCML was fine. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The morning coffee and scones were terrific. The room was in need of a deep cleaning. Linens and sheets were fine but some areas of the room needed attention. Would definitely consider staying there again.

This hotel is not what I would consider a true 4-star property. While the lobby and hotel bar area are nicely done and give a good first impression, the rest of the property doesn’t measure up. Our room needed a thorough detail cleaning, especially along the baseboards and around the AC unit. The stairwells were dirty, and the exterior concrete areas looked neglected and poorly maintained. Definitely expected more for the rating.

Check in: Despite getting 2 confirmations from hotels.com on Tuesday, hotel could only see 2 cancellations (different reservation #s)? Front desk awesome and fixed it :) Cleanliness: Toilet was filled with leftover #2 (which we then flushed several times to clean out) so why the cleanliness score so low. Arrived in eve so haven’t seen or used the grounds, which looked great in photos. Room condition very average for the price ($234 all in on a Friday night). Very dated and stains on ceiling. First floor location very noisy until about 10 pm. Would not stay here again.

Staying here has convinced me to purchase a small travel trailer so I don't have to sleep in funk and unable to shower because of how dirty it was and the drain was plugged up with other people's funk - gross. Won't ever return here.

I think I got flea bites from staying here. The outdoor seats were covered in dog fur, overall it was an ok stay. My kids really enjoyed the game room !

We had a great stay! The rooms are nicely decorated, fairly clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The decor throughout the hotel is really cute and gives it a cozy charm. The shower could use a little TLC, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. The on-site food was absolutely delicious but just a bit on the pricier side. The pool area was lovely, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Do note that it can get a little loud at times since the train passes right behind the hotel, but the location is super convenient and just a short drive to downtown. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and we’d definitely come back!

From what I understand this was supposed to be a “resort” but I think that’s stretching it a bit far. Our room was average for a motel, and the ceiling above the beds looked as if it had mold on it. The bathroom door was difficult to close and the strike plate on it fell off. The beds were comfortable, but if you’re a light sleeper you will hear the train going by several times during the night, as well as your neighbors if they’re noisy.

Great location. Quiet enough. Good parking. Beds were great with nice pillows. Some interior designer got loose and made some, let’s say questionable calls. An abyss of dark green paint and dim lighting. Challenging enough when blessed with good vision. My wife, legally blind wanted to club the fool. It could mostly be corrected with plainly higher wattage bulbs. Otherwise, it works.

Loved the property. Great location. Very stylish. Fun bar and great shop. Only downside was the heater made so much noise we slept horribly. We told them when we checked out and they were very nice about it and apologized, but sleep is the most important part, so we won't be returning.

It was a nice place to stay but the lack of a microwave anywhere is a bit of a kill joy. You don't need one in every room but one just one somewhere on the property would have helped me out with my children's dinner that i was reheating up that we made at home. Also a train coming so often that it felt like i was next to a rail yard

The overall resort was cool, very much a certain vibe that you better be into. The rooms felt very old with cosmetic updates only but were very clean and the bed was super comfy. One odd thing was there only a comforter, no top sheet so it was warm when sleeping. And the AC unit was VERY loud. It’s well located and none of these are big enough deals that I wouldn’t stay again.

The common area, pool, hot tub, bar, general store, reception desk, etc were excellent. Beautiful and clean. Great coffee at the coffee bar. Outdoor gas fire pits and comfortable furniture were excellent. The rooms however left a little to be desired. Deferred maintenance and horrible dark paint.

Great pet friendly motel. Love the upgrades in the room but the bathroom could have been bigger. Barely room for toilet and shower. Your knees are right up against the door.

Now, a few years later, we were disappointed to find the staff in the bar/restaurant area to be more interested in talking to one another than attending to patrons staying at the hotel. Customer service needs a boost to give it an excellent rating again.

It took 45 minutes to check it and things were said that couldn't be honored. She had to call the manager 3 times to help. There were 6 people waiting to check in behind me, and I waited 20 minutes for her to help the one person ahead of me.

We reserved first floor rooms for our elderly parents on walkers and canes. We came to the hotel at noon day of check in to confirm first floor rooms and walk in showers. The front desk confirmed but said we couldn’t check in yet. We said we’d be back at 6 and they said that was fine, we were set. Upon arrival at 6, we were told there were no more first floor rooms. The desk said they couldn’t do anything. We were stuck helping handicapped parents up 15 stairs because there’s no elevator. The stair case had no wall rail. We could not go anywhere else because it’s graduation weekend and the town is sold out. They did nothing to make it right. Not to mention the obnoxious baseball kids that are randomly banging on doors to the point of making things fall off the wall. I’d like my money back. We will never stay again and will never recommend. Too bad; we are local and we were excited to have our family try out this hotel.

Even when the amenities and aesthetics of this hotel are pretty good. Customer Service is really bad: I booked a pool view room, tried to check in earlier (12:30pm) and the front desk lady said room wasn't ready until 4pm, we left and came back at 4pm, however, room wasn't still ready, waiting 30 min more and to my surprise I was given a WALL view room (picture attached) and just giving the explanation that the hotel was completely booked and didn't have any other room available, even when I explained I was there earlier, and they could at least advise me of the change of rooms, the front desk lady at the time just said: "she was taking the shift and didn't know anything about earlier". In a spite of the terrible service, we decided to stay because we had a whole itinerary planned for the weekend. And sadly, it just got worse, in the middle of the night the A/C wasn't working properly, making the room really hot and when I lower the temperature it started to make a horrible noise that didn't let us sleep the whole night. I contacted Hotels.com and got the pool view extra charge refunded and the hotel didn't a $20 fee they supposed to charge at the hotel, but the bad experience of having to go through all these issues when I only wanted to have a relaxed weekend with my family doesn't really worth the refund. I also advise of the AC malfunctioning in the morning and they just said they'll check on it, to got me thinking that that room wasn't really up to use in the first place

We booked 2 nights and all the roads to Flagstaff got closed down, after being in the car for half a day we had to turn around. The next day the roads opened and we went to go check in at the hotel, they said we couldn’t check in before 4pm without paying a fee & we would be charged a no show fee. The roads closing was completely out of our control! There was nothing we could do to prevent that. The receptionist was so unfriendly and cold, then one the managers came and was no help at all. Terrible customer service. We stay at this hotel multiple times a year and always enjoy it but the service we received was shocking.

As a result, food orders were not placed incorrectly for our table and others that we saw. Additionally the food that did come out, was not of the quality expected from description. Great bar and hotel store. Dining options on site are curated (they do a Roman style pizza, sandwiches, and salads. Pizza needed about 2-5 more minutes in the oven, but still tasty. Property is nice. King room is standard for this style of hotel. Comfortable, clean.

Great location for my needs but road in front gets very busy after 10:00am and lasts all day so get going early to beat it. The bar staff is amazing but never had more than one drink a day because of price $18each simple margarita standard size. The rooms are large and clean and they have done very well updating an old place. Great small touches in rooms. Best in room coffee I’ve ever had. Absolutely would stay again

The bar, market and patio are the main attractions to this property. I love a good hotel bar, and the open concept with the patio, firepits, grassy area and food option in the market or to order were perfect for a night in. The pool is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The beds were comfy and the room was comfortable, dark, and quiet. It was a great cozy yet modern vibe!
