Key card didn't work and then when we got one that did work the room door only opened about 1/3 because it hit the bed. The room was stifling hot and the window wouldn't open it was painted shut. There was a fan but it just moved hot air, it was 10 times cooler in the hall. It was so hot I slept with a wet towel and we left at 6:30 am to experience the joy of fresh cool air.

The room was good, staff were excellent. We stayed in a twin room, with good sized ensuite walk in shower. Bed and room was clean and comfy. 2 x Reception and 2 x breakfast staff were friendly, helpful and gave valuable local knowledge and advice. Reception staff were delighted to order a taxi for us despite there being a Taxi phone available in reception.

A hotel that has seen better days, worn decor signs of lack of maintenance. TV did not work in the room (no remote) with cables hanging everywhere. Along with bedside light wobbly and not working and a wheel fallin of the bed. The staff did try and get a new remote but after two attempts gave up? Asked to move rooms and said they were full? Asked for a discount or compensation and was told this had to be authorized by the manager. No manager around in the morning so wrote it off as a bad experience that I will not be repeating.

Room was in disrepair and nothing like the web photos. Mould in the shower head and sealant. Dirty surfaces and furniture. Mattress was paper thin and almost folded in the middle. Wallpaper peeling off and blu tac on the wall to keep the curtains in place! Key demagnetised and staff just said, 'oh, that happens as an old system'. You could grow a beard waiting for the lift so I didn't mind there was no gym after negotiating 3 floors. Even though the rate was competitive a Premier Inn would have been luxury in comparison. Avoid!
