Hôtel du Midi Paris Montparnasse

Un hôtel très agréable, à deux du fameux lion de la place Denfert-Rochereau. Chambre assez spacieuse pour Paris. Salle de bain petite mais très fonctionnelle avec une très bonne cabine de douche. Notre chambre au 4e étage sur l'arrière était très calme. Bon confort et bien équipée. Pour ma part j'ai trouvé le lit un peu trop mou !! Garage très pratique pour la voiture juste à côté mais en supplément bien sûr. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit-déjeuner mais on peut se faire un thé ou un café dans la chambre. Au tarif normal se serait un peu cher à mon humble avis mais c'est Paris !!

Otelin en iyi özelliği konumu, lüks mağazalara yürüme mesafesinde karşısında otobüs ve metro istasyonları mevcut, aracınız varsa hem otelin otoparkı var hem de sokağa park edebilirisiniz. Otel küçük bir otel, giriş kısmı biraz dar ancak odalar geniş yataklar rahat ve banyo temiz. Odada su olmaması biraz kötü.

Very good airconditioning which was needed in heat wave. Large room and many facilities in neighborhood.

Spazi comuni "essenziali", odore un po' stantio. Camere e servizi adeguate (quadrupli vetri per isolare il rumore!. Posizione buona per muoversi in citta', dintorni serviti (risto, super mercati, tabaccheria, etc.)

There were construction near the hotel so their park was closed and we didn’t know where to park. The road to the hotel was closed and under construction.

Met all our needs in terms of location and comfort - quiet good sized (for Paris) room (at rear of hotel) that had been recently updated. Great bed, just the right amount of firmness and good pillows. Elevator was immediately outside our door, and we never heard it once inside the room. Arrived early morning after redeye from California, had planned to leave luggage at the hotel while going to tour the city but was allowed to check-in at 09:30 so settled in before going out for the day. Great access to RER and Metro within 50 yards of hotel. Lots of places nearby for every meal but beware that you probably need a reservation for evening meals.

Wij vonden het een stil hotel. De buitengeluiden komen niet binnen. De vierpersoonskamer was ruim genoeg voor een paar dagen voor ons gezin met 2 kinderen. Personeel is vriendelijk maar verder discreet aanwezig. Grote pluspunten vonden wij de parking voor 35 euro per dag (die trouwens ook voor grotere auto’s nog goed bereikbaar is) en de directe nabijheid van het metrostation. Op een wip sta je in het centrum. ‘s Avonds kan je in de buurt eten of in de buurt van Tour Montparnasse en het laatste stukje te voet doen. Wij namen geen ontbijt maar vlak om de hoek is een Paul, voor wie toch koffie nodig heeft. Wij komen nog eens terug want Parijs is veel te groot om in enkele dagen te bezichtigen.

Hotel is very well located for subway. Great local area for bars, dining etc. Our street view room (with excellent view) had double windows so keeping out road noise. Bathroom clean, convenient. Parking on site (35 euros/day) works well. Breakfast area is very small and quite bland but there are plenty of cafes nearby. Excellent desk staff, would highly recommend this hotel!

We loved staying in Hotel du Midi! The rooms were extremely clean. The beds were really comfortable. The staff were very nice and polite. The location was great-right across the street from either the catacombs entrance or a train/metro station that easily took us to some of the main attractions in Paris. There were also many restaurants within walking distance-including a fabulous patisserie.

The property needs to change thr carpet or put on wooden floors. The smell is too strong.

Quarto limpo mas o carpete estava em estado ruim. O banheiro normal, mas secador péssimo. Ar quente funcionando bem. Minha estada foi sem café da manhã. Localização boa e fácil acesso ao metrô.

Excellent and convenient location: quiet, surrounded by many shops and restaurants, easy access to airports, train stations and public transportations. Helpful, courteous, friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are small but efficient and comfortable. Hallways and rooms could use a face lift: while all is in working order, paint is peeling here and there, carpets show stains and tiles are chippped or loosely reset.

The property needs a deep cleaning. The lobby stairwell is dirty along the baseboards and walls. I stayed in Rm 16 Oct. 2025 and the carpet has some nasty brown/tan stains on it. I put the bed runner down on the floor bc I couldn't stand walking on unknown stains. If you want breakfast, you have to notify them the day before. Location of property is fine, convenient to Metro, front desk people nice and has a mini frig & kettle/coffee in rm. But, doubt I would stay there again due to cleanliness.

The bathroom and bed were great but furniture was very worn and the carpet was old and dirty.

The hotel was nice for the most part. It was very dated. The rooms all need new carpeting, they are very old and stained. There was some damage to the walls in the hallways as well. The staff was nice and helpful and the beds were comfortable. A/c was very good as well. Overall the hotel just needs a facelift.

I'm accustomed to Paris, with tiny rooms and no AC. However, for peak summer during the JO, I selected this location for access to the 13 line and with AC. A storm caused flooding which threw the breakers for our floor. The AC never came back on, it was quite hot and humid with the rain, so we had to open the windows. Very noisy people and scooters on the street below. It was acceptable otherwise, but definitely not worth the price paid.

Amei o hotel! Proximo metro e trem RER B. Otimos restaurantes próximos! O quarto foi excelente! Pequeno como havia sido descrito mas muito confortavel e limpo. O banheiro é otimo com chuveiro onde havia ducha corporal, seca toalha, secador de cabelo simples! Jarra para aquecer agua e fazer cha ou cafe disponível no quarto. Cofre/ frigobar, guarda roupa, tv. O unico detalhe é que troquei a posição do colchão pois estava afundado e ai ficou otimo !

Superb location, right across the street from the metro station as well as the catacombs with a great price point for Paris. It's gonna cost like $300 more per night to get the same sort of deal near the Eiffel tower for instance. But if you’re right next to a train station, it doesn't matter bc you can get to Eiffel or Notre Dame or the Louvre within 20 min with very little walking. As for the hotel itself- very comfortable bed, interesting bathroom with quirky built in hair dryer that only has 1 temp control which i guess is more eco friendly but not great if you have a ton of hair like i do.. the biggest issue was that they had a really nice looking jetted tub that i was looking forward to using and so one day i got back a little early from my outing to have a "spa day". I filled up the tub and tried to turn on the jets but it wouldn't work! I asked my friend to go downstairs to ask the front desk if there was something we were doing wrong or what and they told him that the tub just doesn't work in our room (or maybe the whole floor? Idk i wasn't there) and that they knew about it before and didn’t tell us. At the very least if i knew about it in advance, I'd either have asked for a different room or wouldn't have gotten my heart set on a spa day. All in all, it was very minimal and the only issue i had with the place. Would I stay there again? Sure, if the price is right - I just wouldn't get excited about the jetted tub.

Hôtel très bien situé face à la gare métro et RER, commerces et restaurants autour. Rue Dafuerre à faire. Accueil chaleureux, personnel attentif aux besoins. Extérieur très bien insonorisé mais nettement mois bien entre les chambres. Le choix de la literie est à connaître : mon matelas avait un accueil et soutien moelleux qui ne me conviennent pas.

Staff is ultra friendly and great. Accommodation: spacy rooms, soft and comfortable beds, good location near to good restaurants/cafes and local market in Rue Daguerre

Everything was excellent: room, clean, location & outstanding service and staff.

Smilling and polite staff, but who got no idea on how to solve basic problems. Aging building. No electricity outlet near the bed

Welcoming staff, great recommendations, room upgrade, excellent location, not touristy. A great way to experience Parisian life. Will stay again.

I haven’t been to Hotel Du Midi in 30 years, and coming back I’ve forgotten how amazing the hotel is, the care the staff takes for their clients

Really nice front desk staff. The hotel is right beside Denfert-Rochereau metro station. Can access all areas of Paris easily from the hotel. Also the Orly bus stops right out front at the D-R station and bus is 23 min to Orly. This hotel is convenient. The staff were really nice. Also there are great restaurants in proximity to the hotel. The hotel is 1 km away from Jardin de Luxembourg. Also the hotel is 900 m away from Parc de Montsouris, which is great for running in (it’s got a 1.4 km loop)

Liked this property. Staff friendly and helpful and areas around were convenient and had good food. Would stay here again.

Great place to stay, clean and next to metro and Orlybus and RER to CDG. Moreover, I left a ring in the room, and they found it and we were able to pick it up!

The receptionist was very rude during our check in on the 31 December 2023 afternoon.

Very charming, typical Larisian hotel in a convenient location. They currently (September 2025) have major infrastructure works running outside all through the middle of the night. Staff kindly gave me a top floor room but the digging noise is still extreme. Other than this, a very pleasant hotel.

The high price is not warranted by what you get. The pictures are very deceptive of what the hotel really is like. Plastic glasses in room, wood coffee stirrers. One instant coffee, sugar, & mini milk per person. Greeting by front desk with an attitude. Argued over the breakfast, I was under impression it was included and was told to take it up with Expedia. They were nice enough to store our luggage as we arrived early.

Really liked the location of this hotel. I purchased the breakfast and the portions were generous. Friendly staff. Nice sized rooms and especially bathrooms. The carpet really needed to be cleaned. I had to open the windows to air out the sleeping area.

We stayed at the same hotel for the past 3 years for business. The last two years were excelent. This time, there were changes in the system. I guess the owners changed. There are no rooms offered with breakfast included, you need to buy it seperately when you arrive. You must confirm your breakfast for the next day that night. Why should we have this stress, I can arrive late in the evening and miss on ordering breakfast. This can be acceptable since they want to save on cost for the wasted breakfasts. We were on a business trip with 6 people; now, what irritated us the most was, the reception asked all of us to come to breakfast at the same time. This is not a boarding school, I can have my breakfast within the designated time. This was clearly unacceptable and we did not have breakfast on the next 3 days we stayed.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean and the staff very nice. The area was also very nice! A lot of restaurants, a bakery, and market was very close to our hotel. We weren’t in the city center but it was easy to get an Uber to go anywhere. I would definitely stay there again.

Tuvimos una estancia corta pero muy cómoda en el hotel. Lo elegimos por la cercanía a la terminal de trenes donde pudimos transportarnos de manera rápida a diferentes puntos de la ciudad y sobre todo al aeropuerto CDG. La atención fue muy amable, el desayuno muy rico y la habitación aunque es pequeña contaba con una cama muy cómoda!

Albergo semplice, ma carino. Proprio davanti alla stazione della Rer per l'aeroporto Charles de Gaul. Vicina anche la metropolitana. Nei dintorni ci sono molti locali dove mangiare e luoghi dove fare colazione o comprare brioche da mangiare in camera. Non conviene prendere la colazione dell'hotel. Non c'è il buffet. Ti danno solo una bevanda e un cestino con del pane e un croissant a testa. La camera standard è piccolissima, ma comunque comoda. C'è il frigorifero e il bollitore per fare il te. Ben fatto il bagno. Ottima la doccia.

Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. All the people working at the reception desk spoke excellent English. They had very good advice on how to use the Metro system - which was excellent. I would highly recommend the breakfast - it was sufficiently large so we could spend most of the day visiting various areas and then have an early dinner. The metro is just across the street which was an excellent way to travel around Paris. I would definitely stay there again.
